I no longer work in the area but still come back weekly! Staff are really friendly, ample indoor and outdoor seating, also there's a decent basement bar you can book out for medium sized events. Large house red please! Matty is the best

I hosted a charity pub quiz last night in the basement bar which was brilliantly organised by the SCH team, would highly recommend using the pub for events such as this!

Many thanks to Faith behind the bar and Pete the manager. The only improvement would be labeling which of the buffet food was vegetarian and which wasnt. I'm not a vegetarian but some of our 90 guests were!

We had such a lovely time at The Hatton for our Christmas party! Brian was amazing from start to finish and really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great xmas lunch. The table setup was perfect, and it felt so special having the space to ourselves. Brian was super accommodating, played festive Christmas music, and even sang Happy Birthday to one of our group, which was such a sweet touch.

Such lovely staff. Very attentive staff. Lovely atmosphere. Ordered the snack platters and they were hot and delicious!

We had our team Christmas lunch at The Sir Christopher Hatton with a group of 12, and overall, it was a great experience! Brian was amazing from start to finish—super helpful with sorting out last-minute changes and making sure everything went smoothly. On the day, he even came by to say hello and made it special with Christmas crackers on the table. Top-notch service from him! The festive menu had plenty of variety, and the portions were spot on. Most of the food was a hit, but the roast potatoes didn’t quite land. The polenta coating made them a bit chewy, and everyone agreed they’d prefer a classic roastie—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. That aside, the vibe, food, and service were great. With a little tweak to the roasties, it would’ve been perfect!

Really nice and festive décor, great for after work drinks. Prices were very reasonable too!

We had our Christmas party, we were greeted by a lovely and cheerful Brian at the door. The venue was really well decorated for Christmas and the vibe was great. Amanda was behind the bar and great and helpful

Brian and Amanda were absolutely amazing. For a work Christmas do they could not go any further. Brian was an absolute gent and Amanda could not go any further. Some would say that both Brian and Amanda would have walked to the ends of the earth for our christmas do. This is the second time we have held our Christmas do here and it is because of Brian that we chose to come back. He is personable and witty which fit exactly with what our group required and considering how chaotic we were he managed us perfectly and was able to ensure everyone got exactly what they ordered and also was able to cater to everyone's dietary requirements. More power to Amanda and Brian. Long may they continue at the Sir Christopher Hatton.

First time at this pub. With an old work friend. Nice burger meal and a Gala organic pale ale. Tasty and reasonably priced. Good ambience. Would recommend.
