A fantastic location and venue (lots of light and both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of wooden furniture) with reasonable food and the potential to be a lot more than it currently is. The staff all seem pretty miserable and I am not the greatest fan of restaurants that make you go and order at the till rather than providing table service. Not terrible value but not great either. Pizza is recommended, and the breakfasts are actually pretty good, too.

Really great potential...this place should be an amazing place to go get some lunch or even dinner.....but the extremely bad management seems to want to close the place mid Oct.and open it sometimes the next year...whenever they fel like.....absolutely tragic approach to such an amazing Caffè in the middle of the park, surrounded by the thousands of students and office buildings.....

No alternative milks only full fat is available, very little flexibility on breakfast items (when asked to add poached eggs on the side for an extra charge the cashier told me ‘there’s no button for that’, even though poached eggs are very much on the menu).

Don't go here. Shocking service. Pizza ordered and never turned up; flat drinks; half of the items on the food and drinks menu not available. You pay for a full drink like Pimms only to then be offered it in a can (for £8!). Complained about the Pizza not showing up and we got giggles from the person that served us. Got a refund and none of us will be returning. Such a shame as it is in a lovely spot, but the people they have working there are seriously incompetent and really couldn't careless about customer service.

The space itself is lovely but I wouldn't recommend the cocktails - my strawberry mojito was some Malibu and fizzy water with a squashed up strawberry and a few mint leaves on top, not really worth £9!

Nice venue, food was ok, fine for a quick drink. When ordering food however, they didn't have half of the items on the menu (only pizza) and despite telling us a certain drink was available and charging for it, they then realised they couldn't make said drink and took an age to refund the difference, which couldn't be done on a card and had to be paid back in coins. Service was generally poor, no one seemed to be in charge or really know what was going on, pizza was eventually brought out and the server said "I assume this isn't for you?" Which seemed a strange thing to ask given we were sitting in a cafe/restaurant and had ordered that pizza to our table number... The park is nice though!

I used to walk past here every day and have always thought this would be a great place to lunch, or have coffee and cake. I finally got to lunch here and I was surprised to find woodfired pizza on the menu, so of course that was a must, but it was only average tasting. My colleagues dishes fared average as well.

Pretty good for a lunch spot at work. Feels like a bit of a retreat from the office in the middle of the park. The food is good but the service was wacky. While I understand that your meal will come out a different times if you're not on the same ticket, even my own individual meal came out in a couple rounds and just felt off. I was meeting a friend for dinner and we specifically chose this place because the menu online had several gluten free options. Really disappointed to find out after we sat down that they weren't doing that menu for some reason, and had literally nothing she could eat apart from a prepacked salad that looked like it was leftover in the cooler from lunchtime. The alternative menu they were running was mainly pizza. At the bottom it mentioned gluten free bread being available but when I asked they didn't seem to know anything about it. Such a shame because it would have been really nice to sit out in the park having dinner. Instead we had to leave and go to the pub around the corner.

Having travelled extensively for many years across many hotels cafes bars restaurants I have experienced many different styles of service - Fields are clearly not set up for a tourist visit - I was not welcomed as a tourist ! After choosing a seat then perusing the menu I went to the counter where a man was being serviced multiple coffees - a lady came forward and stood to my right at the counter I thought the coffee server was using time effectively to take money from her then after a few minutes another lady came and then I realised the first lady was having an order taken and the second lady was about to be served too All three of these customers appeared to know of each other and even their dogs;-) the service staff did not intervene and ask if I was next instead the regulars berated me as if I had stepped out of line making a complaint ! I was made to feel that I had upset these regular customers routine however as I tourist visitor I had no idea of where exactly at the counter you would be served nor did I think a server at the counter wouldn’t be there to make sure I was served next ! It is not clear that centimetres left and right along the length of ordering counter could be so critical and especially as there was only one man in front of me - I get that regulars sometimes know better ways of doing things but when this seems actively encouraged by staff this doesn’t deserve my custom The manager at the counter offered me no explanation for this ‘regulars first style’ of service and were trained to help me at all. So I left with out ordering This restaurant seems to have not carried a simple user journey of an arrival of first time visitor - if it has a regulars first policy it should make this clear !

Fields was recommended to us by staff at the Sir John Soanes museum and a is great choice. As an added bonus there is a 15% discount for museum visitors on production of the museum guidebook. Located within Lincoln Inn Fields it has a external terrace as well as an indoor area. It offers a range of pizzas, sandwiches and salads which are ordered at the bar then delivered to your table. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood fired pizza. The indoor area had a fun ambiance but can be very noisy when full.

I have been here a few times as it was very close to work, but I avoid this place like the plague now after so many bad experiences. The staff are not attentive and don't seem to have a clue what they're doing most of the time. If you order a pizza, the toppings that are supposed to be warm at least, are cold because they don't cook things long enough and I ordered a fishcake ball which was crispy on the outside and stone cold in the middle. They don't cook the food thoroughly. Absolutely awful! I have eaten here as a couple and with parties of people of 10 or more. They CANNOT cope at all with large parties. This restaurant NEVER got the bookings correct. For group bookings, we would email and you receive an email acknowledgement for your booking. Then when you turn up, they pretend to know nothing about it, so you have no table or they get your name wrong, the time wrong, the amount of people attending wrong etc. They are massively unorganised. I made a booking once and received an irate phonecall from their incompetent restaurant manager telling me I was late for my lunch booking. I said I wasn't as I had booked it for a certain time that was an hour away. Tried phoning back and the phone never got answered. Worried that they could just cancel my booking, I contacted their head office. I explained my situation to a lovely lady and she contacted the restaurant (on a non-public number) and sorted the situation. The restaurant manager then had the audacity to complain that I had contacted the head office!Their head office sent me a voucher as an apology, which was lovely, but the head office really needs to completely reorganise the staff and structure and get rid of the aggressive incompetent restaurant manager.Go somewhere else, there are plenty of places around Holborn which are alot better, have efficient staff and food served at the correct temperature!

Visited on Bank Holiday Monday. The cafe/restaurant was not very busy. Walked up to the counter and the person behind the counter totally ignored my husband and I. Finally she stood in front of us without any acknowledgement and I ordered two HOT chocolates. She hurriedly made them up in seconds and I was aware that they did not appear to be HOT. I tasted the drink in front of her and I was right, like warm milk, not even hot enough to melt the chocolate powder. I said that she needed to make them again which she did, with no apology. Finally took the drinks over to the table and discovered there was half a cup of chocolate drink under the froth. Again we took them back and asked for more milk to be added. Again no apology. Very miserable person and pathetic service!

Yes, you have to get a table allocated to you and sit there, before one of you goes up and makes the order - irritating if you were on your own with little children, but I wasn't so it was ok - and then they bring the food to you. I brought the drinks back myself on a tray. The food arrived and the boys deemed the pizzas nice. I had a couscous salad which was tasty but not huge. Nice location in the park. Would I rush back? No.

Queued for 15 minutes. Got to the front and was told they would not serve me unless I had a table number. People coming and going all the time and I had me and a 2 yr old. I think the lady thought I should leave the 2 yr old on his own to guard a table! Why not have a modern day system? The service was just pathetic. Food was inoffensive as it tasted of nothing. I have not eaten such a tasteless pizza for a long time!

I've been here three times; I wouldn't have returned after the shoddy service I received the first time, but being close to work, I got invited here to lunches so had to come back. Never again though, not after yesterday. I ordered a burger, and after everyone else at my table had been served, nothing had arrived. The waitress then made me fish my receipt out of my wallet to prove that I had indeed paid for a burger! I then sat there without food for 10 mins while my colleagues ate. And at no point did anyone apologise. On top of that, it's insanely overpriced and the food is just average. Find somewhere else!

Great French toast! My wife and I both had it - mine with crispy bacon and maple syrup, my more healthy wife went for Greek yoghurt and blue berries (but still with maple syrup!)The French toast must have been nearly 2" (that's approx 4cm for you youngsters)We will return next time in London

After a couple of hours in the (wonderful) Hunterian Museum on the south side of the square, we weren't certain whether or not we could face eating food. Having seen the nice selection of cakes and sandwiches, our appetite returned and we had tasty pizzas from the wood-fired oven whilst sitting outside watching the world go by.

Really not impressed with this place. The person who served me was not exactly welcoming - I felt like she was telling me off because I didn't start with a table number. I could have excused that if the food was good but it just lead to more disappointment. I had a pizza which was practically tasteless (and that was despite paying extra for Parmesan which in itself seems wrong). I paid almost £20 - I wouldn't have minded that cost if the service was decent and the food was tasty

Handy location for visits to Lincoln's Inn Fields and the surrounding LSE and Royal Colleges. Used it as a cafe in the morning rather than a restaurant. Good selection of cakes and muffins etc. Coffee was fine after the server understood what was required. Service with a smile. Reasonable prices for the location.

M and I popped in here before and after our visit to Sir John Soane's House which overlooks the park.We shared a falafel and hoummous wrap (yum) with cold drinks, as we didn't have long. The wood fired pizzas being eaten at the next table looked and smelled really good, so if we had more time we would have chosen those. We came back later for tea and cake - a nice tart with crumble topping. This is a relaxing place - we were here on a Saturday afternoon and though it was busy, we didn't feel rushed and it wasn't too noisy. I imagine it might be popular (and noisier) for after work drinks during the week.My only criticism would be - as is so often the case - that there are insufficient toilets (just one cubicle for the ladies, so expect to queue). Given that it's a relatively new building this seems like bad planning.

Tucked away in the middle of Lincolns' Inn Fields is a wonderful cafe overlooking the tennis courts. Limited menu - but wonderfully fresh and tasty. They've got a pizza oven, great specials and wonderful array of cakes. You find a table, make a note of the number painted on it and then queue to place your order. There are tables inside and plenty outside for when the weather is amenable

We met up as a group of 8 former colleagues for an early supper. Although a reservation was made well in advance, we weren't told that the only food available would be pizza. Even when we arrived, this wasn't clear - we all placed our orders for the kitchen to come back saying we couldn't have what we wanted. The staff also tried to palm us off with a £36 bottle of wine when we ordered a cheaper one. This is a pity, because the venue is lovely and the food (well, the pizza anyway) is pretty decent.

I visited Fields with a friend on a sunny afternoon, and it is a lovely setting in a peaceful part of London. We ordered pizza that we wanted to share and our request for an extra set of cutlery was greeted with a hostile stare. When the pizza arrived it wasn't very hot,and was served on a wooden platter, which was a nice touch, but there was a large rough split in the platter that I felt was a) unhygienic, and b) could have left splinters! Having said that, the pizza tasted good and was a good size for two to share as a lunch time snack.

Didn't eat but the food looked good. Barstaff were friendly, it was quiet but we sat outside and enjoyed Camden in the late afternoon. Nice

Friendly staff and the food was the best we had in while in London. Fish and chips were phenomenal. The mac and cheese was the best I’ve ever had. Sticky toffee pudding was ah-mazing!!

After a visit to UCLA Neuropathy, this Public House was just round the corner. Quick pint with the Mrs, we also had small snack. Onion Rings, Cheese Garlic Ciabatta, but oh my god... try the Cherry Amaretto semifreddo....
