What Can I say about the Camden Lockside? Nothing but good things, from the Crisp and sweet Jubel on tap in the Ice cold stein, to the crispy Chick burgers. There isn't a pub in Camden I'd rather go to. From the great tunes to even greater staff. What. A. Pub.

Great vibes, solid drinks, and a playlist that made me feel cooler than I actually am. Staff were friendly without trying too hard, which is rare these days. Came for one, stayed for a few... oops. Special mention to Dave, the manager, absolute legend, somehow everywhere at once, but still found time for a chat. Will definitely be back.

Such a lovely pub, special shoutout to bartender David. Not only were the drinks spot on but the service was genuinely so welcoming. You can tell they actually care about making sure everyone has a good time. I will definitely be coming back!

A GREAT PLACE MADE AMAZING BY ROSA! I don't usually write reviews, but had to let everyone know who reads this how amazing this place is because of Rosa. I took my wife and her friends out to Camden and found Lockside while looking for somewhere to eat. The bar has a really nice outdoor balcony bit where we sat in the sun. Now this is where Rosa was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! we have a few in the ground that have dietary restrictions/allergies, so ordering food is a challenge. Rosa was not only able to answer all questions in regards to the food, but she even went the extra mile to confirm one item was ok for one in the group, AND even gave alternatives when something wasn't suitable. After we ate, we decided to stay and have drinks, because the atmosphere was good and Rosa was amazing. Again, this group is really picky when it comes to drinks, but Rosa worked out what each member of the group would like! This is a skill you can''t learn. The icing on the cake for the day was when I ordered champagne to toast my wife's birthday, Rosa (without us having to ask), got the DJ to play a birthday song while we had the champagne! I would 100% recommend Lockside, and if Rosa is in that day, I would say don't waste your time anywhere else!

ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO DRINK IN CAMDEN. Lockside was a really nice spot me and my friends came whilst travelling from New Zealand, we went all around Camden but the lockside stood out for a few reasons. One was the barmaid Rosa, she truly went above and beyond for us and by the looks of it every customer. She was so friendly and outgoing, she made the whole experience that bit better It has an exceptional view over Camden canal and the Camden markets. You could people watch for days, great atmosphere and dj too (me and my friends even got up and had a cheeky boogie) The beer selection was wonderful personally recommend their jubel beer range (peach and grapefruit if I remember correctly) their food was also great we got the sharers great for a group of friends. Overall a definite must see we will make sure we visit again when we’re over and we hope to see Rosa again she is a star

This pub is in the best location in the centre of Camden food markets. It has great atmosphere with a DJ music on the weekends and can get quite busy creating a good vibe. Favourite spot is having a beer on the balcony over looking Camden markets. Bar staff were very nice and up for chat. Would recommend for a pint and feed while checking out Camden.

Great burgers and pints. For all the Aussies they do a cracking lemon lime and bitters

Nice place to sit down. The bartender was rude, made some weird discriminatory comments. Wanted to order more drinks but that just ruined the vibe.

Food needs a bit more and the whiskey selection is not as extensive as I would like the pub provides a brilliant atmosphere and it’s more edgier scene over the weekend was to die for. Lovely staff I miss placed my phone and the lovely little blond manager helped me find it I didn’t get her name but she was a real life saver.

Located on the canal, Lockside has great food, friendly staff, and the manager, Dave, is easy on the eye. Would highly recommend dropping in for a feed and a couple of pints

Camden lockside is easily the best pub in the area. Dave is incredible accommodating for us and always welcoming our our group bookings, great food, and well priced. Highly recommend.

La mujer detrás de la barra fue horriblemente grosera conmigo cuando tomé una de nuestras bebidas de un pedido grande (una Bloody Mary) que sabía muy mal. Ni siquiera era mi bebida, solo la devolvía en nombre de mi amigo español. No estaba seguro de si el jugo de tomate estaba apagado, pero tampoco se había mezclado correctamente y realmente no sabía bien. Normalmente no soy de las que se quejan pero la señora fue tan grosera conmigo, y se negó a rehacerlo o permitirme comprar otra bebida... básicamente me prohibió 😂 Bastante descorazonador considerando que compramos una ronda bastante grande de bebidas. Ella estaba detrás de la barra el domingo 27 de abril, tenía el pelo rubio y delineador de ojos alado - ¡mantente alejado!

Best place to eat Fish&chips. They really have the best sizes and I think 1 is okay for 2 people sharing. The music was quite loud so we couldn't talk a lot.

Vibrant pub right by the lock. Great addition of heat lamps outside, so plenty of space both in and out of the bar. Friendly and quick service!

PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE, ate nothing else all day but their rib burger and fries from here last night, woke up at 2.30am to my body expelling the food. servere food poisoning. I haven't been able to leave the bathroom and i've had to phone in sick to work. the burger was bland and pink and didn't come with the toppings advertised, i tried to complain and was met with a dirty look even though it blatantly didn't match the discription on the menu. The staff were rude when I'd asked for more mixer too, more dirty looks. really rude service altogether. would not return

Great Short Rib Burger- well cooked. Chilled atmosphere at lunch, a welcome refuge from the Camden busyness.

We came for a day out to London from Northampton to meet some friends and have some good old fun. Your first stop was the lockside we had some drinks me and my mate had a nice whisky and my our friend had a cracking and Coke we had two more rounds. The bar staff was great and happy to help. Good atmosphere and we will be back again soon. Good times.

been here before and honestly it’s such a spot for me and my mates but i wanna really highlight the hospitality that the security has shown us tonight. imz.. u are a G. we just came from a heated argument with a miserable security guard at whetherspoons and imz was so so lovely and funny (how security should be) and we will be back. Friendly bar staff, decent ambience, place is nicely decorated for Christmas. However, you have serious hygiene concerns when it comes to the toilet area. Absolutely nasty. Every female cubicle clogged, waste from floors to the walls. I left the restaurant to use the public toilet on the same level just by the stairs. Luckily it wasn't locked despite a £1 charge. And I visited on a Wednesday where there was probably not more than 20 customers in the bar.

Perfect place to have a good beer and eat something if you are in Candem. It has a great atmosphere and is perfect to sit down and have a drink while you spend the day in this neighborhood. To repeat without a doubt.

Didn't eat but the food looked good. Barstaff were friendly, it was quiet but we sat outside and enjoyed Camden in the late afternoon. Nice

Came here first time early last year with then-boyfriend for late evening drinks before returning to our long-distance relationship back then. We exchanged ring pops, had Hugos and white wine. The next time we were there it was closed off for a private function, but we weren't deterred and was just there a day ago, now married! And it was nice reminiscing over beers, cocktails and hummus. Nice crowd, great views, a balcony/terrace-like sanctuary above and away from the main Camden Market, you can view the excitement from a good perch! There are heaters, too! The servers were really nice to chat with and were efficient with their service. We'll keep coming back here to remember our own moments, but it's also because it's such a great place to dine and take a break at. Thank you!

Just had drinks there, location is good and staff friendly. Only thing I found very strange is there’s a man in the toilet who sits there insisting on washing your hands and begging for money. Very strange and made us feel quite uncomfortable!

You have to go to the bar to order! The meal arrives cold and the worst part is you pay £12.80 for service! And I think I'm going to go to McDonald's! The quantities are not adapted to the price.

Not much to the atmosphere when you walk in but it is in a great location. It is right in the heart of Camden Market, along the Camden Lock. We weren’t wowed when we walked in but were hungry and looking for food. I had been drinking their beer at pubs around the UK since I arrived two weeks ago, so I wanted to try their brewery. Although not wowed by the atmosphere of the place, the food was fantastic. They don’t have a kids menu but I got the Cotswold fried chicken, without the hot sauce, for my 4 year old daughter and it was amazing. My wife and I shared the fish and chips and it was probably the best we’ve had since we’ve been here. The only hiccup was that a lot of the cocktails on their cocktail menu contained Beefeater Gin but they were out of Beefeater Gin and they couldn’t, or wouldn’t, substitute another of their gins in the cocktail, so half their cocktail menu was unavailable. That being said, I wouldn’t come here for the atmosphere or cocktails, there are better spots you can have a drink overlooking the Camden Locks, but if you’re hungry, definitely come for the fish and chips or the Cotswold Fried chicken. Based on the quality of these two dishes, their kitchen definitely know what they are doing and you wouldn’t be disappointed.

This burger was £15.95 . Barely one step up from MacDonalds . Four of the draft beers were unavailable.The two stars are for the polite service .

Terrible service by the security guy at 13h35 on 6th October. He was so rude to one of the guys in our group, that we decided to leave without ordering..

The bar is lovely and nice location, but throughout our night I had three drinks of mine that were not even half way emptied picked up by staff and taken away as if those drinks were finished. The first one that noticed was missing I just bought another one and the 2nd a mate of mine got me another but by the 3rd I had to go up and say something, I got two drinks back. The funny thing as well is I watched it happen to my friend to and the lady just put it on the bar where they put glasses to be cleaned, clearly loads in the glass told me friend and she had to go pick it up. I feel like if it's not emptied or the staff hasn't asked anyone if it's finished they shouldn't be picking up people's drinks that they have paid for. Other than that the bar is good with a good vibe but that has put me of as that has never happened to me anywhere

Quite a nice bar. Very crowded and noisy terrace, almost empty inside. From the terrace, a beautiful view of the market and the Regent Canal. You can only pay by card.

A pub that serves food should never have toilets in that state. Utter disgrace. Perhaps a cleaning rota? Perhaps even cleaning them might help. I would never eat there.

Wonderful location. Live music and super friendly bar man. I wanted Slimline tonic which they didn't have so I asked for soda water. The barman gave it on the house

Great place in the heart of Camden. Home of Camden ale so was a must to visit. Only went in for drinks but staff were great especially their spicy Margarita. From what we saw on the tables, if you're going after 4pm book early to avoid disappointment. Being in the place, you can see why they get booked out. Go experience it, you won't regret it!

Terrible customer service, I was waiting outside to have a beer since they don't let in food from the market, which is fine and logical, but it turned out that I couldn't even be outside the premises!! As there is always one tourist over another, the treatment is basically like prison!

Pretty scammy to charge £7 entry when it was £5 an hour ago and the lady with a horrible attitude telling you can’t go and check the party while the others stay back! Ridiculously boring party and that snobbish woman needs to go 👎🏻

Went there for a date and they had “a special night event” pay entry £7 per person no tables to seat at although they say on their website there is a terrace, this was closed. Had to stand next to the bar with a bottle of wine and people bumping into as cheap music was playing through their cheap music speakers. Will never go back there

Service was extremely lacking. We waited 15 minutes to order when there were over 3 workers not doing anything but walking back and forth from one end of the bar to another. Bartender was chatting and taking with another bartender instead of finishing our drinks, and took several breaks to continue their conversation when I just ordered a spritz and one cocktail. I don’t know what happened to service, it used to be so lovely.

Came here for ESCP Farewell party. Most of the food served which was fried was undercooked and thus unedible (for eg the onion bhajis). Service was good given the high volume of people but the food quality is unexcusable.

thought it would be lovely as it’s a view by the canal, food was okay, the downside is that when we entered, it was immediately too loud. as my child was charging their phone, and we had no idea the music turned off. he had autism so i had to, and he’s a bit disabled. they came over and said ‘that’s to plug the DJ in’ when she could’ve been nicer about it, left my son crying. but dome staff are okay. i am not the one to complain, but i think there should be where if someone is sensitive about noise, please don’t have musics. won’t be coming here again unless improved!

Charged me service charge when ordering a small plate at the bar. Before that, they put service charge when ordering 4 pints, also at the bar. They shouldn't put service charge when people order at the bar, they are not providing table service so why make me pay a tip???? And also service charge on drinks???? Nope, never coming back here.

Candem town is truly crazy with people, places to eat, places to buy the most unusual, vintage and also just old things. In this joint, if you find a place to sit, you can eat and drink decently.

Delicious schnitzel I had there a week ago, good selection of beers and ipa's, nice atmosphere and overall good experience. Staff very friendly. Will be back for sure when next time in Camden!

The bar was very nice, looking across Camden Market. Had the hot chicken wings with stilton sauce, very nice. Good selection of beers, Camden Devil very nice. Some criticisms, they add an optional service charge of 12.5% to your bill but don't tell you. Also the male toilet floor was soaking wet, it wasn't water.

We had to go and order alone. No service. Very rude (didn't even look at us when she spoke). I had a lemonade, it had a weird taste that stayed for a long time. Very disappointing.

This is the god damn toxic and poisoned restaurant! I go there with my wife and ordered FISH AND CHIP and SHORT RIB BURGER！ The burger was taste so weird like extremely strange beef smell! After a few hours, we got seriously food poisoning keep vomit and diarrhea! This restaurant ruined my trip! Now the only thing we can do is lying on the hotel bed keep feeling painful from our stomach! Everyone PLEASE READ this comment before you go! I really don’t want you to become me! Came here to see a friend DJ on the terrace. Place has a good vibe and the drink prices aren't terrible. Bar staff is very quick and friendly.

Bad customer service. This is special for NYE. Hi Joe, it is my mistake I didn’t explain my opinion about this interview. Apologies, if you understood me wrong. This 1start is for the 1 guy of security who was very rude with me. I arrived exactly at 1:10 am because I watched NYE fireworks. I did the best to arrive quickly. The traffic was terrible I had to catch bus or underground and I had to wait a lot, despite this I arrived for 50-60 min. When I was in front of the entrance the security told me “ I can’t let you in because the last entry was by 1 am. I understood this information from the security not from the Term & Service of the ticket. On the ticket doesn’t had this information. I don’t drink alcohol and I was very kindly. I explained to the security from where I came and took me time to arrive, but the guy was very rude. Yes, he add about the case with the girl and her friends were outside with me, they were very drunk. They, told me about the situation and I understood what’s happened. After, that I wanted to don’t enter and I wanted to speak with some of the stuff about my ticket. I met the manager very quickly. Than, the other security two guys they asked me what’s happened and I explained them. They wanted me let in but I was disappointed to enter because of the first security and I didn’t wanted to watch the case about the girl. I hope she is better.
