We have been a couple times for breakfast now food is delicious, the best omelette I have ever had! Ryan is a fab host, he remembers exactly what we like, and nothing is too much trouble, highly recommend a trip here!

First time customer to this charming cafe. Fresh home made sandwiches and panini. My only criticism is that the tea wasn't very hot In fact, by the time my sandwich had arrived it was positively tepid. I'm sure if I'd pointed it out it would have been replaced. It seems that sort of place. Will definitely be back.

I’m sure this place is lovely, but I’ll never know as it is cash only. I arrived cold, wet and keen for a coffee and cake, but it wasn’t to be. Like many people in the 2020s, I don’t usually carry cash. Please join the 21st century and accept electronic payment!

This is a friendly wee cafe with great staff, a good range of cakes, soup and sandwiches. Not very big but a cosy wee place to stop for lunch or morning coffee. My Mum who is 93 likes the traditional decor and friendly service.

A lovely wee cafe with home baking (our scones were straight out of the oven) and fantastic service. The staff were really helpful and genuinely friendly to all customers. We coincided with the sunshine so sat at one of the outside tables. It’s round the corner from the main village square so not immediately obvious but well worth the two-minute walk.

Myself and the youngest popped in here for lunch midweek. A good and varied menu choice. Friendly and polite staff. I had the leek and potato soup and the boy had a panini with a lovely looking salad which I got to nibble at,he eats leaves but he's no mad on it eh. A lovely cup of coffee with orange and poppy seed cake to finish off. We'll definitely be using this place again, and there's tables and chairs outside for those that want to brave the autumn weather.

Coffee and homemade scones. Both delicious but miserly portion of jam served in tiny Kilner jar. Found chap serving a bit aloof and not exactly welcoming. Would return for the scones alone!

Passing through alyth this afternoon and came across this cafe. First impression very good which was short lived. As the male behind counter was to busy to notice that we had walked in as seemed to be engrossed watching a tv or something and so we turned around and walked back out in disgust

Myself and my husband tried to stop in for some food in the afternoon, despite it being half an hour until they closed, they wouldn't serve us a sandwich. Very disappointing and left a bad impression of a company who didn't care about turning customers away hungry.

My wife and I had coffee and cake in here two days ago and then coffee and cake and soup this afternoon. The food is all homemade and fills the spot. For those who say the menu is limited, it's a cafe, not a restaurant. The place is very clean, including the toilet. You can often tell the standard of a place by the state of the toilets.Alyth needs businesses like this. The grim exterior of the Airlie Bar across the road is a reminder of how tired many of our small towns have become. Those who visit Alyth should spend half an hour in the Singing Kettle to see someone trying to do the right thing.

Order taken by a very intense & socially awkward man who was incredibly slow. There was no atmosphere, no music, just an awkward silence in a quite empty café. Despite just ordering soup and a drink, it took forever to arrive, and in the end my colleague and I had to abandon lunch to get to our next business meeting on time. Who knows how long it would have taken had it been busier? Perhaps this was why it was quiet. I believe this is a relatively new venture by new owners, so perhaps some settling in will make this a more relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Went in the other week for a quick cup of tea and a scone as was in the area. Nice from outside but atmosphere inside was terrible rude staff and took over 15 minutes to get my tea which was terrible tasted like smart price tea bag, the scone itself was worse tasting that something my 12 year old son made at school really dissapointing visit certainly won't be back. Scone was so dry and tea minging won't be back ever.

Stopped off for cake & coffee. Very pleasant tearoom. Was a quiet Monday afternoon & both staff were pleasant & took time to explain contents of Paradise Slice, one of the cakes on offer. There was also chocolate cake, lemon drizzle which was delicious & scones. We had 2 hot chocolates, a cappuccino & fruit tea as well as 3 paradise slices & 1 lemon drizzle....all for £14.90. Service was quick. Nice touch with the tealight stand to keep the teapot hot. Perhaps slices of cakes could have been a little bigger as they were quite delicious.

Following the good reviews that i had seen on trip advisor i decided to stop for lunch at this establishment.Starting with plus points, this cafe had obviously recently undertaken recent refurbishment and was very much looking the part.Decor was fresh and bright and the toilet, although only being a shared one was in very good condition.Coming down to the nitty gritty it had to be said that the staff could perhaps give a better impression of being happy at their jobs and possibly have ensured that the floor and tables were perhaps kept a bit cleaner. Finally the food could have been a good deal warmer and tastier.Dont think i will be paying a return visit in the near future.

Dated décor, but that's part of the charm. Friendly staff, good food, home-cooked and quick to arrive, parking on pavement, close to the magnificent Reekie Linn falls nearby, and a good spot to eat pre/post a visit to these falls or the wonderful glens nearby. Very good value, recommended.

What a wonderful old fashioned tea room this is! The decor is very pink and I loved it; with a pink ceiling, flock wallpaper and chintzy touches. It's a small place but we felt relaxed and able to chat freely. We just had coffees and that was fine despite being lunchtime. Go in and sit down and the very friendly staff serve you at your table. None of that hovering at a counter and feeling pressured to choose quickly. A good traditional tearoom serving great coffee and a traditional menu. I loved it and will be back!

You will see I said this was not the best meal I have ever had. This is only because I did not have a full meal. I was taken to this lovely, quaint tearoom for a "snack lunch" by a friend I was visiting. While I use the term quaint it is in no way derogatory, since it is freshly decorated in an older style which suits the locale. This establishment is family run and, it is well laid out. It caters for a variety of party sizes. The table layout gives seating for groups of 3 to 8 customers. The menu covers from hot filled rolls to light lunches. And then there is the home baking as an accompaniment to Finnish your meal. The food is very good and the service is friendly and efficient. If you happen to be in the area then I recommend you pop in. If only for a Tea or Coffee and a piece of cake.

We stayed over at the hotel on a Sunday and had dinner within the restaurant. The hotel staff were fantastic (Blake deserves special recognition - thank you!), and our room was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The hotel is located centrally so it’s easy for access to local amenities. The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value. The place was buzzing so we were so lucky to have booked in advance. The locals clearly enjoy the restaurant and made for a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone for meals, drinks and stays.

The location, the restaurant, the staff and the food are all excellent. My partner and I had a truly wonderful Sunday lunch and each dish (cheese souffle, John Dory and blueberry pana cotta) worthy of 10 out of 10. scores. My only concern is that the 25% increase in the price may deter future customers.
