Recently dined in which was a superb experience. Great food and nice location and restaurant. Got a takeaway this evening. Still very good but much preferred dining in and reccomend

Food was absolutely delicious. Enjoyed a very nice meal with friends. Been here several times and is just as nice each time.

Food was great. There was a mix up with the delivery time I had selected and the food came 30 mins early. I was not home to receive it and then it came late, HOWEVER, the food was fresh and yummy so would return and recommend.

First time here after a number of years and we all had a very nice evening. The staff were super friendly and welcoming throughout the evening. The food was very nice, not too hot ( in a spicy way ) and very tasty. To round off the meal we all had a liqueur on the house which was a nice touch. All in all a good night.

Advertising 35 to 40 mins delivery, then changing this to 60-90 mins after I had ordered to finally get a lukewarm curry after two hours is not great

Excellent service, superb food.

We had an outstanding meal here. The service was fantastic. Be sure to ask for Lime Pickle, as well as the regular chutneys with your poppadoms, delicious! The Kema rice was superb, as too was the Cauliflower Bhaji.

Very disappointed the chana masala was under cooked and the onion bhajis were soggy all the other dishes were mediocre

What a load of I will never order a meal from disc restaurant joke comes to mind I am so disappointed must have changed management and chef just load of excuses shame on you!!!!!!!

Disappointed that there was no salad or mint yoghurt provided with the chicken tikka main course like you usually get from other Indian takeaways and for the price I would have expected this and bigger pieces of chicken as there were about 8 pieces and they were very small. Naan bread was really thin and dry. The chicken bhuna was tasty. Just don't feel like it was worth the money though.

Food was lovely, service was great! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back!

This was our first visit to Simla. Upon arrival , there was some confusion with the booking time due an error with the booking on their part, which was soon rectified. We were shown to our table which was one-of the booths. The waiters were super attentive. When the food arrived we were all pleasantly surprised. Every dish was lovely and there were clean plates all round. We had poppadoms, prawn and various chicken & potato curries, rice, chapatis and naan. We ordered the kids ice creams which are frozen desserts that are typical of local Indian restaurant. We were given complimentary after dinner drinks which was a nice surprise and end to the evening. Looking forward to dining there again soon.

Placed order for 7pm earlier in the day, app stated arrived at 7pm chased at 7.15pm told 10 mins really busy, actually arrived at 7.45pm. Food was lukewarm warm at best and bland flavours. Will not be returning.

I ordered a takeaway and had ask for salads with my meal to go with the chicken tikka dry mains but when paying I was shock at the price I payed for a small bag of salad it is well over priced at £3.50 for a very small bag this is a rip off I would check before you order this item.

Food was 20 mins late , and when I got it , t was cold had to heat it up in the microwave and it had no flavour , very bland and the veg curry was dry .

First time here and would highly recommend and will be returning. Service was fantastic and the food was exceptional

Portions seem smaller, brought out wrong meal for one of us, and took over 10mins to bring correct one. The staff don't seem as happy now as they used to, mostly new staff. Will try again as it may have just been a bad night for them.

They marked as delivered but it wasn’t delivered until over an hour later, we phoned them twice within the hour and both times said “it will be 10 minutes”. Found plastic in dinner too

The food arrived cold and missing a naan bread and sauces. Rang the restaurant who said they would send it out but already cold food so pointless

Ordered takeaway turned up cold the keema naan bread had a piece of meat the size of a 5op the only good thing it turned up early very poor not concentrating who ever is cooking this needs educating in how to cook food properly for its the paying customer who suffers spoilt food waste of money never again thumbs down beware people go eleswhere.

Would not recommend, only part of the order was delivered, no driver available so could pick up the rest, that wasn’t an option for us, rest of the food was over cooked and dry. So went to bed hungry, very disappointed so will not be going back ever.

Absolutely the very best tasting food , good delivery time , and reasonable price , highly recommended .

This WAS our go to Indian, somehow it became the worst meal I’ve ever ordered. Everything was cold when it arrived, probably because it was almost 45 minutes late. Soggy and rubbery bhajis, bread was chewy and tough, could barely pull it apart by hand. We ended up having to microwave everything to make it edible and even then the quality was just poor. Over salted sag paneer, oily popadoms…. So disappointed considering this was our “go - to”, but honestly, even if someone purposefully tried to ruin the food, I think it would’ve come out better than that.

Extremely nice and tasty food , well priced and prompt delivery time , highly recommended .

Best Indian I’ve had from a takeaway. Do not often leave reviews but I felt compelled to based on the quality. Absolutely delicious and arrived early. My husband does not rate Indian usually however, this even impressed him (and he’s a tough critic). 5 stars from me.

WORST CURRY EVER! I visited here with a large group, and it was awful! We arrived at 6.30pm and received our food at 9.00pm. I understand there is a long wait for a large group, but the service was non existent. We were served papadums, but then left with no service / offer of drink. I completely understand a restaurant wanting to make up for being slow by offering more drinks, but we received none of that. When the food did show it was nothing special. I found the service staff quite rude, and like we were an inconvenience. This restaurant is owned by a cousin who owns Marco Polo in Wickford. My advice would be to go there! Marco Polo is 100% better, and I wish we had gone there! Also important to note, they do not serve beer on tap. An awful place, which I will definitely never return to! Marco Polo Wickford know how to treat a customer and the food is way better!

Very nice food, very nice people… I have been eating Indian for years but some how these guys always seem to be the best of the best no matter where I go… I even considered getting a job there to find out how they get their korma to taste so good 😋

Late order cold food wrong food will not be ordering again this is not the first time this has happened with simla

Just received a lovely meal delivered everything had lots of flavour and the chicken was juicy not dry food was still hot and a quick delivery time 5 star from me.

The food arrived on time but cold unfortunately. The onion bhaji were very doughy and cold too.

Didn't really have much flavour, arrived Luke warm and took 1.5hours from order to delivery. Bhaji wasn't a bhaji and masala wasn't a masala!

Not recommended for a delivery .. an hour late so the food arrived cold.. if you want indian food you better go and eat in the restaurant.

Not at all happy, very bland taste Two dishes of tikka were just bland chicken and very small, tikka rogon and tikka pathia, portions, generally poor value for money, every dish ordered was small and tasteless £33 and not worth it, won’t be ordering again. Sorry

Order at 5pm was meant to arrive at 620pm but didn't arrive until 630pm. When it arrived the main meal was cold, nan bread was soggy and cold had to microwave the passanda and put chips and nan in the oven to be able to eat it. I understand its a Saturday but doesn't mean the quality of food should drop.

Food was good, a little sparse on the chicken in the chicken jalfrezi compared to the other dishes we had. Also popadoms and chutney seems very over priced, when do the sauces go up compacted to the popadoms you order as they are linked?? Still good flavours though out the meals.

Was called by the restaurant to say they were sorry but they could not deliver and i had to go and pick it up myself. The food was overly greasy and not happy at all and wont be ordering again.

Food is always hot when delivered. Delivered with a smile, more importantly delicious. Highly recommended.

Went for a birthday meal with freinds it was busy in there an felt too cramped the tables are so close together, waited nearly an hour an a half for food an kept asking if we wanted more drinks. Ather people were complaining about the wait for food. The food is very good cannot fault it, but they need to concerntrate on the customers in the restarant rather than the constant deliverys that were going out, probably would have got it quicker if we ordered takaway. This was the second time there that its happened an our last as its not exceptable to wait that long

Food was absolutely amazing as was the service and very reasonably priced. We'll be going back and soon👏👍

Disastrous to say the least. Completely screw up the order; deny the error over and over again; accept the mistake grudgingly; blame game faulting some other customer; refusal to refund; no reparation with delivery of the correct order; it was indeed a circus none too enjoyable. Anyhow, that's that. Won't look that way again.

Just eat said delivery made, no follow up on progress.. I called takeaway,,they said on way..30 mins later turned up. I bet it was standing as when it eventually arrived,,all food cold. Had to microwave food to eat. I called to complain, they said they would offer discount on next order..I said why not this order,,adamant they said next order..in other words, in case I dint return as a customer they get good money for bad service.. so wont be back..

First time ordering from here and will be the last time. Food was 30 minutes late. Then food was cold and tasteless. The best bit about the food was the free condiments and pappadoms

We went to Simla with friends after not seeing them for two years. The restaurant soon filled up and was very busy. The food delivery was very rushed and had the food in front of us before we had any plates and had to ask for them. We had barely finished our main course and the bill was put in the table without us asking for it, and told they needed the table. I asked if we could finish our drinks first before they threw us out. They are clearly not leaving enough time in between bookings and trying to cram in as many people as possible. I’ve never ever experienced this before and will consider going back,

Not great food rice was dry and my children korma wasn't good got ripped off with the drinks 4 people with set menu 32 pounds a head don't get me wrong we did have a nice time until the bill came in at over£300 and they wouldn't let us keep the bill if you go there just be careful unfortunately I don't like getting ripped off

Ordered a Gurka”s revenge the lamb was really chewy, not a lot of sauce , plus it was not very hot . Also ordered 2Ltr bottles of Coke but got 1.5 Ltr bottle , but still got charged the same price .

Quite simply the best Indian around for me good food and staff are always polite if you like Indian food you can't go wrong at Simla

Fantastic night at the Simla Tandoori "Elvis is in the building" Sal put on a great night of Elvis tributes and swinging those hips great choice of food well priced we have really missed nights like this Bring it on!

My cat died today so we got a undian to cheer ourselves up. Ordered here loads before and it was lovely, have 1 complaint tonight and get a awful phone call from the restaurant owner shouting at me not to order from there ever again! Great customer service, thanks.

We had a Lovely evening at Simla on Saturday 12th June 2021. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive but not over powering. Dinner for 4 with starters, mains and drinks was really well priced as well. I'm firmly stuck in the Chicken Korma corner.. nothing to spicy for me.. that said the Korma was one of the best I've had. We will be back for sure.

Good service, nice atmosphere ( diffuse light with spot focus on every table, background noise acceptable) and I loved the food.
