Used this pub last night since the refurbishment and it was absolutely flawless, the food was well worth the reasonable price, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed/wanted and that we enjoyed our food. I am definitely going to be coming back here again soon in the very near future. Lovely pub with well mannered and presented staff.

Booked a month ago, preordered the food, arrived 10 minutes early. Still waiting 2 hours later. I’d give zero stars if I could. The worst service I have received in my entire life.

Went for a bottomless branch this weekend will definitely be coming back! The service was really quick which is always good for a brunch! The manger was lovely and welcoming and the two staff behind the bar Will & Shanna gave amazing service. Nothing was too much for them! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Friendly atmosphere in this pub, customers young and old and the people behind the bar are very nice. The place is spacious and clean. There is a garden at the back which in the summer gets packed with people.

Called into this local pub and was overwhelmed with the transformation to a Greene King pub. Shana served us, very friendly & polite. The pub was very clean & inviting & the food was very wholesome & excellent value for money. Well done to the team there & to Greene King for the fantastic refurb.

took my partner here for his birthday and i mentioned to them it was his birthday when booking a table and they put up balloons and a happy birthday sign on the table which made him smile. we was then met with amazing friendly staff and an incredible meal. over the moon with how it went for his birthday meal.

Greene King pub, so you know what to expect. I went on a Saturday lunchtime, and it was very busy, but the restaurant part was OK. Quite a small car park, but public one across the road. Staff very friendly, and food was good.

The Sunday Roast was very good. The beef and turkey were tender and tasty. As well as all of the fixings. Will was our server very friendly, professional and attentive.

Great spot to stop off at on our walk. Fantastic service from start to finish as they told us about a wait on food and when it got delayed even more they gave us free desserts for keeping us waiting. Staff are very friendly and polite would highly recommend

Had a lovely meal with husband and grandson. We were able to have good sized and tasty smaller senior meal and grandson could fill his boots with a burger. Would highly recommend this very friendly and helpful pub.

A great experience and lovely atmosphere since the refurbishment! Food was delicious and big portions with a great amount of variety and meals for both kids and seniors, and the staff were only too happy to help. The only thing that could be noticed was that the food took a little while to be served despite it being quite an empty restaurant but it wasn’t a problem for us. We will definitely look forward to coming back!

Went for an anniversary meal on the 16th August. 730 we booked for. Ordered our food. Eventually after many visits to the bar, and a young girl named Ellie being sent out to us to explain why our food had not arrived. What an amazing young lady she was. We finally got our food at 930. There was only 5 of us. 3 tables were waiting for food for hours too. Very disappointed with the so called management. Won't be going there again .

Lovley pub! we came in for a Sunday roast and was pleasantly surprised. Decided to come in and try the breakfast at the weekend, Amazing! And at a great price. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

I am leaving this review to give feedback for the “burgers of the month” having eaten “the Swiss”. I eat out regularly including multiple burger specialist resurants. I would gladly reccomend this burger, taking into consideration cost, taste and overall satisfaction.

Went there for Sunday lunch. We had our dog with us and could have eaten inside, but as the weather was so nice we ate outside. The outside area is quite large with the kids' play area, plenty of tables, and an under cover area. Staff were friendly and efficient. We all had the Sunday roast, two turkey, one beef, and one turkey and beef. Good size portions, food was tasty, but all our meals were only Luke warm and the roast potatoes were very pale. It was almost as if they had been boiled, then placed in the oven for 5 minutes. All in all a fairly pleasant experience

Love the refurbished. Cosy and peaceful. Food was excellent apart from the garden peas which were hard and luke warm. Will come again.

Visited this recently refurbished local pub at lunchtime. Bright, friendly, spacious main area with large gardens and covered areas. Ideal for both cold and hot summer days. Chose the Seniors menu, which provides a 3 course light lunch for £8, which was outstanding value, hot and tasty. Particularly enjoyed the Jam Roly Poly with custard as a dessert.

We were served by Holly at The Fern - excellent service and food!

7 of us out for birthday lunch. Love the new look of the pub, done to great standard. Pensioners lunch good value, all came together, nice and hot. Friendly barman, can't ask for more.

Had a lovely meal, hadn't been here for a while so inside was lovely and modern and very full for lunch time, very popular. Menu was all changed , but very good choices and didn't have room for a pudding. Definitely won't leave it so long.

1st time used since refurb,awfull ambience,place now set up for noisy younger set,if you want a quiet meal with friends go somewhere else, great difficulty ordering with people leaning on the bar infront of the tills,food and service was fine but will not be using again,due to disapoinment of refurb not impressed at all

Service at the bar was very poor. This was due to the football being on. However, no provision was made to deal with the higher quantity of people. A drive for you to order on the phone. Not always possible. Possibly not a fair evening to judge the pub in general. Decore was nice, and the staff were in general polite and cheerful. I'm sure on an average day it would have been better.

We have had 2 meals at this pub and it was lovely food. However the second time we went it was extremely busy and we had to wait 45min for our food. We did receive an apology.

Recently refurbished and it looks great. Good selection of food on the menu with good deals available. Large outdoor seating area and play area for children. Parking on site and further parking available in car park across the road.

Shame they don't put the sound on for the football instead of the jukebox.

Recently refurbished to an extremely high standard, it is beautiful, and the ambience was lovely. Can't fault the food, it was delicious, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit.

Delicious lunch. I had the tacos and the Eton mess. My friends really enjoyed burgers and Apple crumble pie. The staff were welcoming and friendly, especially Holly. It's so much nicer there now and I will be going back again soon.

Newly refurbished pub , moving away from a sports bar that does food . Lots eating when we turned up and seemed happy with food and service . I found an inside TV in a corner where I assume the sport will be shown but it seemed hidden and not important to the pub , outside they have a large TV where people can sit and watch TV, the heaters were not working and I put that down to being a new build , probably just not turned on when we visited ? It's a large area and looked good to be honest , very large garden , new table's and will be busy in the summer, I would put a bar outside for bottled beer etc , saves going in and standing at the slightly smaller bar since the refurb. Small seated area added out front , much needed, if us Brits get 10 minutes of sun...we want to sit outside . Pool table removed and this was an issue to my 23 year old son, but it's an obvious change in what the pub wants to attract regarding customers . Prices of a pint is average for the area , £5 ish a pint , good selection on tap and as always nowadays a gin / vodka selection available.

Looks great after the refurbishment in March 24. Being the first night after being closed for a few weeks it was packed with a great atmosphere. Took a while to get a drink but that’s because of the amount of people. Staff were friendly and helpful and food excellent. Hopefully it won’t turn into the youth-club it had turned into prior to the refurb with teens taking up tables and nursing diet cokes for hours on end preventing people getting a table for ordering food.

Was here just before they closed, spoke to the manager who was really excited for a new refurbishment. Really friendly staff, awesome food and a great atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back.

An interesting pub. It is rare to find such a cheap and tacky establishment, to sell such expensive and stale beer. Plenty of tellys though, as long as you solely like football.

Went for a lunch time meal and drink. Meal excellent but my real ale was winey. Must have been yesterday's beer in the pipes. Took it back they replaced it.

Excellent service and good honest food when 11 of us arrived at a very busy time without a booking. Bar staff and chef were very friendly.

I had a mixed grill, food was "warm" and chips were "cool", I was missing a sausage which I didnt realise as sausage was half tucked under chicken. Portion size was disappointing also. The time before I had steak and they put the steak on my onion rings making them soggy and I had an egg missing that time. Attmosphere mostly chavy youngsters, Very disappointing, dont think I'll return now!!

We booked our Christmas festive meal for 6 people and arrived early but was welcomed with a smile, after 10 we were shown to our table which was decorated very nicely. We could not find any fault with the food or drinks, I will say everything was first class and would recommend it to anyone looking for a very special time. Staff made sure we all enjoyed ourselves

Very poor, on several occasions over the last few years, my family have not been able to order some of the meals on the menu. We've walked out twice and both occasions on a Monday lunchtime. Had to make do in one of the other failing Eatery's in this area. In all honesty Wetherspoons does a Better job.

I went there for a meal with the wife, the meal was less than good the fish and chips that I had looked as if the fish was bought in Iceland it was small and overcooked and also the lasagna that my wife had was very very low on meat content that it was mostly lasagne sheet and béchamel sauce without very much meat the quality compared to the price charged was not very good and we certainly will not be returning

Hi . I went yesterday for the first time. I ordered the Sunday roast (turkey) and it was the most disgusting food I have ever tried in my life. the turkey looked like someone had vomited on my plate……. disgusting potatoes and vegetables. , when they asked me why I hadn't eaten I asked the waitress if she had ever eaten in person, the answer was never eaten Sunday Roast 🤔🤨. ok bad experience

Nice vibe, had good table to watch rugby. Sadly steak not as ordered, but in fixing it by putting in microwave they forgot to provide rewarmed chips with the hot steak. Would go back as pleasant.

Discovered this place years ago and always felt it was good value and with the play area in the garden, an excellent destination for families. A new team have taken over and you can now add great service and great food to the list. Apologies to the amazing manager for not remembering her name, but what a professional. She highlighted menu offers and also noticed my grandson was getting a bit fractious and dived in with a colouring book and crayons.

Good place to go with children. Fairly nice place , bit busy on a Sat night when football is on. It was very busy when we went at 5.00pm But service was good and food was reasonable and not to expensive.

My son went here with some friends. My son is gluten intolerant and asked for something off the gluten free menu. He is now home ill because of cross contamination with gluten after he had the nachos . Although the menu says gluten free they don’t guarantee against cross contamination so what is the point of stating you have a gluten free menu. If you are coeliac don’t eat anything just in case.

I ordered the mac and cheese. It tasted like a prepack plastic meal from the store. Disgusting !!!! Never having that again.

If your looking for a friendly quaint Village pub then this is not the place for you. Average service. Mediocre food. A sad victim of corporate chains and unethical business practices!
