Was staying in the area and fancied some Thai food. Ordered for collection, asked to be made a bit more spicy. Staff were very polite and food was amazing and very authentic (much better than the chain Thai restaurants)!

Second time visiting this place and it didn’t disappoint. All the flavours were perfectly balanced. Had the Tom Yum soup and Duck Padang curry

First impressions were good, parking is in a neighbouring pay and display. One minute walk and the nice exterior greets you. On entry we were warmly greeted and seated quickly, we were in the main thoroughfare but it did not diminish the occasion. Drinks were with promptly, the Malbec is lovely. We both had starters, ribs and tempura prawn. Both well flavoured and fresh. Nicely presented too. For main we had the pad thai and salmon curry. I have to say they were delicious, absolutely beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Despite being full we had seen the desserts coming from the kitchen so jumped on in, the cheesecake the wife assures me was amazing and I had the battered ice cream at the waitresses recommendation. It was also lovely and worth trying. I had a good chat with the owner before leaving, he is very passionate about his business and it shows with the attentive staff and quality of the food. Nothing to fault other than get rid of the naff plastic plants and candles on the table, it’s not befitting of the rest of the place. Will 100% be back despite it being an hour away.

Amazing food and the best pad Thai we have had outside of Thailand. The waitress team were outstanding and so attentive, we will be back A LOT!! It was a super busy Saturday night but you wouldn't have noticed at all, service was quick, food absolutely on point and the drinks perfect. 100% recommend

Honestly, I cannot fathom why this place has a score of 4.5. I can only assume that those that have rated it highly have never tasted Thai food before, and you won't taste it here! This is the second time I visited Siam Bistro, and likely the last. £4.50 for a thimble of prawn crackers, working out about 75p per cracker is a joke. Most other establishments give them away for free. I had the jungle curry which was truly awful. The sauce was like a beef and tomato pot noodle with a whole jar of chilli powder in it. Not a fresh chilli in sight. Zero flavour, gritty, very hot and the chicken was rubbery. Overpriced terrible food.

Great Thai food in the middle of Braunton, very busy so make sure you make a reservation! We have done eat in and take away. Both are excellent!!

We had a takeaway from the restaurant. Its a popular place so we had a 10 minute wait, but the delicious food was worth it. Friendly staff, freshly cooked food. Very enjoyable

Amazing. First visit but not the last.

Set up an order to pick up at a certain time. Went to restaurant at exact time. Got told that order was meant to be picked up 40 minutes earlier. Had a call from Siam 30 minutes later than the time that they thought order should have been picked up. No care from management at Siam, it was a “computer says” moment. Food left on hot plate for 40 minutes. Food greasy, tasteless, over spiced. A poor and disgusting example of what the hospitality industry should be. The manager should have a review on how he deals with customers. I wouldn’t go back and would not recommend this place at all.

Excellent meal with great service… good value too. We shared Thai fish cakes to start , followed by chicken pad Thai and salmon teriyaki… all very tasty. The Thai beer was lovely.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten in the UK. Friendly, quick service and delicious, fragrant dishes all round. We tried the this as takeaway and liked it so much we dined in a few nights later. The dining in menu was more extensive and of course it’s always best to eat the food fresh from the kitchen. There were also a selection of Thai wines on offer, they weren’t to our taste but it’s an interesting menu item which you don’t see often.

Absolutely delicious food, one of the best Thai meals I've ever had. We tried the green curry with rice, spring rolls and salt and pepper squid. Food was fresh and ready for collection 20 minutes after ordering. We didn't eat inside the restaurant but it looked lovely inside when we went to collect our food.

Got takeout whilst on holiday due to high number of positive reviews. Unfortunately it was really disappointing and very tasteless. Not sure if this was a bad night as lots of other positive reviews but it was one of the worst Thai meals I have had.

I've eaten here every year I've been to Braunton. It's always been lovely but this year it wasn't so good. Some of our party were late because they travelled along way and the owner/ manager put pressure on us because of it. We had 2 hours and that was that. We weren't able to have dessert because of time restrictions. I find it difficult to understand how a restaurant can dictate the time it takes to have your meal. I'm paying. Please stop thinking about money and consider your customers.

Tried the red curry and green curry with sticky rice. Specifically chose the green curry because the menu said it had eggplant. Was quite disappointed to find there was not a single piece of eggplant in my green curry . The spring rolls were delicious.

Amazing staff along with the owner were all lovely and very helpful. The food was delicious and very good portions and tasted divine. The atmosphere was very welcoming and lovely seatings.

Good quality starters and mains. The stir fry had a welcome infusion of Thai basil and other dishes went down well too. A couple of desserts were off the menu but of what was left the deep fried ice cream (in cinnamon flavoured batter) was delectable. Friendly service. Altogether recommended

Ordered this as takeout after driving past the restaurant a few times on our holiday. Food was amazing, so much flavour in all of it. The service we received from staff upon collection of the food was also top notch. We were all thoroughly impressed and will definitely be going back

I’ve eaten here a few times and the food and service is always great. I once had the pad Thai and forgot to order it without egg, they were super nice about it and replaced it straight away. Would really recommend eating here. (And trying the spring rolls😍)

Never fails to deliver. The food is always superb, the vibes are great and the staff friendly. The owner is a really nice guy as well! I had the honey duck and it was the perfect balance of sweet to savory and a really generous portion as I couldn't finish it! The cost was quite reasonable for what we got, especially as everything usually costs so much these days.

We ordered takeaway and after spending £114 for 4 adults and 2 children, firstly we were missing a main meal so had to call and reordered so the driver had to leave there meal to go and get, the portions were small, and food on some of the mains were greasy. Overall we were disappointed especially as the reviews seemed to be very good and was the reason we chose there rather then Squires fish and chips.

This was our first time visiting the bistro and would definitely recommend for anyone who is a fan of Thai food to go and give it a try . The food was excellent. Service was good apart from one waitress she was kind but very forgetful …. We had asked for some more drinks which we never received and the manager came round to see if everything was ok and he served our drinks . We had the same problem with the waitress when paying our bill as well . This was the only reason I didn’t not score it 5 stars

This was the Chicken Ka Pow dish from the takeaway menu - £10.95. Take from that what you will. It was sold as a stir fry dish which one would assume comes with noodles. Noodles aside, not much more than a handful of food for £10.95.

Take away for a family of 3, we all had chicken pad Thai which we thoroughly enjoyed. All of us were left with big full bellies. High praise

Siam Bistro is our favourite Thai place to visit when in North Devon. Food is always delicious and service great, good quality, excellent range of dishes and value for money. Highly recommend.

We were recommended this place by a few people so decided to book in yesterday. When we got in, it's not really what we were expecting, quite hustle and bustle, rather than a cute bistro. We were seated in an alley, near the toilet, where the staff were walking through, which made us very uncomfortable and we were quite exposed. The food was so, so average. We've had better from our local Chinese. The noodles were basic and the other food we got was just so average. After leaving, our mouths we're both Left dry and tingly from the amount of salt and msg that was in the food. We enjoy eating out places, but the price here for what we actually got was extortionate. Wouldn't go here again. Nor would I recommend it to anybody. The best thing about this place was the rum bar around the corner.

A really authentic place, yummy food and a very attentive service. The place is booming since its most recent refurbishment. Give it a try. You won't regret it.

We had really been looking forward to dinner at the Siam Bistro after reading lots of positive reviews. We quite enjoyed it but not as much as we had hoped. From the outside the newly extended facade looks the part. When we arrived, the service was attentive and we felt well looked after but as the evening got busier, we seemed to get ignored and when waiting to pay at the end we sat for what felt like an age just waiting for them to come and take payment, it was odd - bit of an evening of two halves. The food was fairly tasty. I think lowering the brightness of the lighting might also help as it felt quite bright which isn't the best for creating a relaxed atmosphere. Maybe we were just unlucky, would we return? Maybe.

Excellent Thai food and quite good value

Popped in for a takeaway while on holiday in croyde, looked a lovely restarting with friendly staff! Food was excellent was such a change to get some decent fresh tasty food around this area! Would definitely recommend.

On arrival we brought a surprise birthday cake for our family member. The staff were kind enough to put it behind the bar for after the meal. 10 minutes after this, the manager came over to inform us that the cake couldn’t be presented due to it being homemade and the risk of allergies. This was a chocolate fudge cake in sealed containers and may we add this restaurant serves nuts in many dishes. The food was average but nothing special. Throughout the evening 2 glasses smashed on separate tables. Several waiters were aware of this but failed to clean it up despite continuous attempts to make them aware. At the end of the evening, the manager changed his mind and said we can have the cake. They were aware that it was a surprise, however brought the plates out first with no cake, ruining the surprise. It then took 15 minutes to wait for the cake whilst staring at the staff members talking amongst themselves. It’s fair to say the evening was ruined from this and we won’t be coming back.

The restaurant was really lovely, with attentive staff and quick service. The food was delicious, with great portion sizes and nicely presented. Do wish the prawn crackers came with some sweet chilli!

Underwhelming second time round. We first came back in 2020, and the food was authentic and flavours on point. It has been a talking point with my partner and we knew when we came back to Devon for our mini break away, we just had to come to the thai again, having had such good experience the last time. This time round, seems a massive drop in quality? The food tasted bland. And the prices aren’t cheap either. i don’t mind paying higher prices but I expect top notch food for it. Portion of rice very small, massaman was super runny, like they had watered it down to make more sauce but had diluted the flavour? Didnt feel authentic. No potatoes, no cashews or peanuts. Pad thai - again didnt have much flavour to it. Satay barely tasted like peanuts. I looked at photos of the food from 2020 and it’s like they’ve either changed owners or the chef. Or maybe they’re just penny pinching on ingredients these days? If i could liken this meal to any song - Shania Twain’s “that don’t impress me much!” comes to mind!!

Visited this restaurant one evening for a family meal and it didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and tidy. We all ordered different dishes from the menu so we could taste of varied range of what they had on the menu which didn’t disappoint. I would even go to say it was my favourite meal of the week during my week’s visit to Braunton. This is a must goto!

The noodle pad Thai dishes were amazing and highly recommend the light stirfry tufu oyster sauce dish with rice.we all had a mixture of starters and loved the fish cakes and spare ribs.Some of us also enjoyed cocktails and loved them

Wonderful meal, expansive selection of choices of curries, noodles, etc. Fresh ingredients, good staff, good sized portions. If you stay in Braunton, make sure to make a stop there, you will love it!

If you are looking for a great Thai restaurant with super service then look no further. Siam Bistro is consistently top class for both food and ambience.

We visited tonight at about 6.30pm and were lucky to get a table. The Siam bistro is a lovely restaurant. The decor has be carefully thought out, the menu is varied and what we had was delicious and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. So thank you for a lovely evening and hopefully we’ll visit again. If you want to visit I suggest you book or you might miss some great food.

Have only ever had takeaway from here, but is consistently excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend!

Whilst on holiday at woolacombe we visited siam bistro on the evening of 30th August, we had a amazing meal , fantastic service and really pleasant staff. Would highly recommend !

Nice food spoilt by being overpriced and an unbearably loud atmosphere. Too many people in such a small place, that you couldn't hear yourself speak. Disappointed.

Great food, good service and reasonable price

The food was excellent, and the service was very good. The waitress knew the whole menu and explained each dish and made recommendations to our liking. We ordered the beef jungle curry, which was beautifully spiced, one of the best jungle curry I have had. The chicken fried rice was very tasty. The biggest issue for us is that we can't make this our regular as we visited from London.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Food was deeeelicious, service was speedy, waitress recommended us a dish which was great. Booked this at last minute. Fortunately they could just fit us in. We were not disappointed as we booked this on the back of other reviews. Staff were friendly and polite. The manager took time out to speak with us which adds to the dining experience You could see he was passionate about the business The food was excellent, we could have eaten every single dessert. Food was amazing, some great recommendations to start. However as they got bust staff kept changing so no consistency. But deffinetly worth a visit.
