Great price, great atmosphere (not too loud, not too quiet), fast service, tasty food.

I have been here a few times. Had the festive dinner recently. It was nice but lacked flavour. The chocolate orange cocktails were tasty, I would recommend them. The Poretti was also nice, but maybe a tad pricey at £3.99? I've been in this pub previously when it's literally been stacked with dirty plates everywhere, but it seems to be much better now.

Curry night on a Thursday how can you beat there value for money 2 curries two drinks under 20 quid. Love there garden in the summer, work meeting place for drinks a brilliant pub ..... 👌

Went for a breakfast with my daughter sat at our table and it was dirty so we ask a member of staff if they could clean it the reply we got was nobody has sat there so it can't be dirty he was quite rude. Can I just say to that young chap the customer is always right,......

Tying to enjoy my breakfast when all I could hear was the fruit machine going off, so I looked to see who was playing it. And it happens to be a 13 year old looking ginger kid drinking a pint of beer at 10:32 in the morning. Ruined my day🤬🤬

I went there last Monday with my daughter and grant daughters. And she is Fussy..? But it was no problem for them. There are so friendly and the food was brilliant. Service was a 100%+ What a lovely place. Thank you so much.

Lovely pub great beer garden with smoking and non smoking areas it is extremely busy which is where all the problem with this pub come from, they definitely needed more staff on (feel sorry for the staff who are at work on busy time ) every table was full of dirty plates and glasses inside and out, the toilets are disgusting and not checked by the looks of it, they serve the people they know over people who have been waiting longer if you go to the bar but table service is very quick when the app works overall the pub is nice enough just be prepared to have to sit at a dirty table

Had a early evening drink that turned into a late night booze. Used the ap for ordering. Considering how busy it was, the service was very good, the staff worked really hard. Ordered a pizza and chips etc which for pub grub was fine. Recommended.

Toilets are a bit inaccessible. Food was quick and tasty.

Not bad , we don’t go to ‘spoons very often as we have a dog and they don’t allow them even outside, no complaints really decent but definitely not dog friendly.

Worse wetherspoons ever, took an hour to receive our breakfast after being told there was a 20 min wait on food and there was items missing

Food cold had to clear my own table and full of school kids who are clearly under 16 they are in uniform and all in all very poor food...

Went for breakfast, ordered large English, came out cold, sent it back and was supposed to have been a fresh one, barely warm, eggs inedible as they were hard and looked like they had been sat there for hours. I know weather spoons is cheap and cheerful and I have had good breakfasts in a few, but the majority of times the breakfasts have always been sent back as cold, this is not just Ashby, Leicester cornexchange is the same.

Having just popped in for a quick bite to eat, I can highly recommend the fish and chips

service is horrible, was waiting 2 hours for my food just for them to cancel it. absolutely ridiculous. staff are rude, its rare to find a member of staff thats actually nice.

Excellent venue usual Wetherspoons decor and value for money had an excellent breakfast Saturday morning. Ashby is a lovely town.

Good pub in good spot but obviously had serious issues today with gents toilets, buckets and flooded floors , wouldn't put us off returning as staff were working on it, had breakfast and lunch today, our 1st. Visit service was good.

Called & had a breakfast & coffee this morning, all very nice & quick service, only one "niggle", two pieces of my four slices of bacon were cremated, juat keep an eye out , or other wise ,very nice,very reasonable & filled a very nice gap..

Lovely food and served with a smile. Nicely decorated and cheery. Only drawback for me is the ladies is up 2 flights of stairs .

Tables full of empty plates of left food and empty glasses. Bar staff just stood talking to each other and not clearing up. Shall not be going back complete mess and my friends beer which was Worthingtons flat and no head on it . Disgusting. Bar staff need training and sorting out .

Been to location several times before during the day without issue. Went last Saturday evening 22/3/24 and found a totally different atmosphere. Full of young men drinking and as we found out some were using drugs. My son needed to use the toilet and went into a cubicle. Before he finished a group of young men started kicking and banging on the door. When my son came out several of the men went into the cubicle together and my son saw them snorting what I suspect is coke. My son returned to our table quite shaken up especially as sat nearby was the same group of men. We left at this point. Not what we expected or have experienced before!

Standard Wetherspoon's fare,service not bad,good beer garden,good range of beers,wines and spirits, food has gone downhill lately, beans cold , bacon uncooked, crossed off my breakfast list ugh!

I love the look of this spoons its stylish and cozy, busy as always but I managed to find a quieter spot.

Typical Wetherspoons pub with food. Great value for basic fodder. Looks like it might have had bit of a makeover since my last visit. Not a lot of elbow room but service at bar and table was excellent.

Nice pub, typical Wetherspoons, excellent covid precautions but a bit slow on the app beer drlivery. Can't complain as a busy Saturday. Updating to add: staff are totally lovely here, food is some of the best spoons I've had. There's a nice outside area for summer and paid parking is behind the supermarket next door.

For Wetherspoons it's lovely. No-one smoking at the doors when you enter or leave. Not too dark and dingy Food was surprisingly good, fat and grease free. Not high end cuisine, but good pub grub at very good value for money. Do not expect all Wetherspoons pubs to be the same. This one's worth visit

Usual Wetherspoons food and drink. All perfectly OK especially when the amount paid is taken into account. It's a shame that there are always so many uncleared filthy tables. Nothing has been learnt from Covid.

I ordered a steak asked for it rare and it was very chewy. It came very late also.

All as you would expect from a Wetherspoons. I keep using them! Unbeatable value for money.

A warm welcome, quick and cheap food. Went as a family of four for a quick bite after being in the wet and windy weather. Good bar staff, food arrived quickly and was nice - great value for money.

We visited The Shoulder of Mutton in May 2023. The pub is huge, combining the old buildings of the historic pub with modern extensions. Inside the pub is open, with a wonderful bar well-lit by a skylight and small, more secluded seating areas to the side. Really nice pub, atmosphere and food great

A brief visit between destinations. All we needed was a nice hot meal and a quick drink. Pub was busy but service was quick. Food was simple but tasty and just what we needed. We were served promptly with a smile from a very pleasant member of staff. Will definitely stop here if in the area again. Sometimes the type of food served in these establishments is just what you need, tasty, reasonably priced and unpretentious.

Usual good service and quality, quite busy as Xmas market was on but all ran smoothly.

When arrived within 10 minutes (very quick) food was lukewarm & double checked order as was convinced I'd received a child's plate. Ordered desserts 2 came wrong & got told we received what was ordered. Gone down hill drastically since last visit.

Lot better than a lot of weatherspoons. My wife had small fish and chips and I had a large fish and chips the only difference was the fish ,we both had the same amount of chips

Ordered a pint of Sambrooks London Porter but received a pint of vinegar instead.

Great ambience, clean and neat. Friendly professional staff. Quick service and lovely hot breakfast. Great bottomless cappuccino. Great value compared to Costa for example with greatly inflated prices 😊👍

Great food friendly service and excellent quality service and value for money

Family friendly Spoons. Feels higher quality interior than most Spoons. Plenty of seating inside and out with some family suited booths and almost Coffee shop seating at the front. Unusual toilets due to age of the building and Ladies have to climb 2nd floors for loos. Good service (although previously Sunday breakfast visit waited nearly 1/2 hour for food!) Variety of Ales well served, good served hot with reasonable portions. Will definitely be revisiting when in the area.

Very nice wetherspoon, really love place to sit especially nest the big windows at the front. Food arrived very hot and it was extremely tasty! Staff were very polite and they asked how our food was and cleared our table up. Ladies toilets were very clean! Coffee machine was easy to use. Really enjoyed it, my favourite meals at a wetherspoons in a long time.

Excellent value for money. We had the fish, chips and mushy peas plus alcoholic drink for about a tenner. Plus a few single Bells whiskies with mixers about £1.80 per shot. The food is always well cooked and the drinks menu is extremely varied at excellent prices.
