First pint tasted off then Probably worst chicken parmo we've ever had didn't even take left overs for dog. Real chips tho... well worth £34! 🤢🤮

A very traditional and 'local' feel pub. We stopped in for Sunday lunch as a group of 3 adults and 2 kids. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The Sunday roasts were delicious, as were the desserts. Kids had burgers which were fresh and homemade. Top notch!

On arrival on a Sunday evening we were told they had ran out of food within a few seconds of us leaving the landlady came out apologised and gave us some near by venues for food. 10 out of 10 for service

I was so looking forward to taking my wife here. A nice establishment, good atmosphere, the service was what it was. We both had a drink, the first glass my wife was given had lipstick around the rim. We where seated at a sticky table, we both ordered the beef dinner (£2 surcharge for chicken!). We waited 30 minutes to be served so was expecting good dinner. The beef was as tough as old boots, I had to discreetly empty my mouth of the first mouthful of beef it was that tough, the veg although looking ok was cold. So I was quite shocked at having to pay £13 for each dinner. We obviously will not be returning here again.

Well !! Where do I start ? We ordered 2 beef dinners and the beef was that fatty and tough I had real trouble cutting it my husband took one look at his and didn’t touch it. The time it took to come out was as if we were a party of 6. We had one drink each and the bill came to £35.10 in total this is a well recommended place if your wanting a nice Sunday dinner I would stay clear absolutely waste of hard earned money.

What an evening we got here. We came to the place before everyone else. Got a lovely service when we ordered the food. The place is extraordinary with an English Heritage of the English Pub Soul. Cosy and decorative with Ship decoration. When the food came it was the best pizza we have had also served by the cook. Then we had an excellent evening watching the thrilling game against Spain, the local community were here and put a golden touch to the feeling over the place. And with this game, England next time it's coming home. Thank you so very much for the evening and the lovely service for me and my family.

Raw chicken, burnt roastys, gravy like pish, raw broccoli I’m sorry wanted to try this place for ages it stunk of bonfire but no fires were lit

A quiet pub with welcoming staff. Stayed over in our camper-van had a meal which was lovely, great value and plentiful.

Had a fabulous meal last night, stayed in the carpark in our motorhome. Someone very kindly moved their car for us. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning again soon.

Pros: - cute little pub that is located in a quiet green - good food and well made chicken - very warm atmosphere - games to play and books to read - tv good size - clean toilets Cons: - Got cold inside sometimes, but fire was not on. - no other cons!! Great place to take the family

As a member of Britstops you can spend the night with a motorhome without obligation to consume. Here, however, if you do not reserve a table and dinner then you cannot stay! Very badly!!!

Food excellant and resonably priced. Service isn't quick, one person serving behind the bar and taking orders and serving food. Selection of real ales is poor, over priced, not always in top condition and can buy most of them from the supermarkets, no great variety like there was a few years ago

Absolutely blown away by this local find, fabulous hospitality, delicious home cooked food and so reasonably priced . Such a lovely feel to the place with open fire and inly 5 mins from where we live. We will definitely be returning.

Would give no stars if I could. They host the hunt and the dogs do their business all over the green. My gran has dementia and is terrified to even go out now due to the noise . The horrible language from the people the hunt bring is disgusting! Also inside the pub, they aren't welcoming, cold and rude to my gran who has lived in the area all of her life and its clear my gran is poorly and yet the vile comments directed to her from the people in there. Breaks my heart. And having the hint come and rip up the lawns and dog mess everywhere, terrorising the wildlife, running through private land and gardens. Disgusting. Don't go here, they don't care about the elderly residents of the area or the upkeep of the area. They won't even pay for the damage the hunt have caused that they host!!!

Fabulous hospitality, the landlord and landlady made us so welcome. Warm fire and great food, we will be back soon!

Visited previously, wouldn’t be my first choice but was ok. Was due to meet a friend there again but discovered gang of fox hunters using this pub as a meeting place. Very shocked and disappointed. Won’t be visiting again until this is stopped 😡😢

Came for burger night on Saturday. Brilliant we all loved the burgers and fries. Beers are still up to standard as is the crack. The ship is great....

Visited the Ship Inn on a quiet Wednesday afternoon, there was approximately 15 people in, it was a very pleasant atmosphere, drinks were good, and staff had a great personality, I will visit again.

First time for food here, and wasn't disappointed the portion size was great , the taste was fantastic. Its nothing fancy but for a good filling home cooked meal this is the place to come. I definitely will be coming back.

We stayed overnight in our camper and got a really friendly welcome, great choice if beer and dog friendly too. Hopefully the new tenants will continue the great atmosphere and start serving food again.

We stopped off at this small but busy pub for a bite to eat. We opted for two small Sunday dinners and two coffees. The drinks came out first followed by the dinners . They were piping hot and came with plenty of meat , five types of vegetables, three types of potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and lashings of gravy all at a reasonable price. This was a very pleasurable experience and we hope to be back soon.
