Ive tried many halal kebab places in Edinburgh This one has the best kebab all round. Taste ✔️ Portion size ✔️ Cleanliness ✔️ And excellent customer service ✔️ But no kidding its the best kebab in town

A group of 4 Aussies stopped in late on our walk home and the wraps were amazing plus the guys were lovely and friendly.

We love Shawarma House and their food. Our regular go to place. You should definitely try them out and enjoy the delicious food. Sit in or Takeaway!

i ate here every day for one month it was so good. sit in the back and order the daily special. it is so tasty and the portions are well worth the price. this is a secret michelin star restaurant with the ambience and service of your mothers kitchen.

We ordered two portions of baba ganoush and some other meals. one of the two baba ganoush tasted off - sour, as if it had been fermenting, and with a different colour. We phoned the Shawarma House to ask about this, but the guy told us that it wasn't so. He explained it was because of the pomegranate sauce on it. When we asked why the different colour and how come it tastes so bad, he hung up.

One piece of the food was off. Upon completing over the phone, weird explanations were presented and then the phone was hung up while explaining what was wrong. Really rude!

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I ordered a shawarma wrap from them and it was the most unauthentic wrap I’ve ever tried. It only had chicken and lettuce inside and it was so tasteless. I would not be ordering from here again, so disappointed. Also it asks you to pick between cheese, cream cheese and butter to add into the wrap, it didn’t even give me an option to pick none.

Generous portions, prices are reasonable & their menu is varied. Most of the staff are 🇵🇰 rather than Middle Eastern, so you can get some banter going with them in Urdu/Punjabi. General cleanliness could be improved a wee bit especially in the WC.

Sent the wrong drinks by the restaurant despite charging a whopping £6 for these. Food was cold. Just Eat were no help. Avoid the restaurant and Just Eat.

We had horrible uber eats experience. £17 for shawarma platters for scrap meat and no veggies and a pita not worth it at all. I called the shop and they never called me back

I’m very disappointed to say that when attempting to order from this shawarma house via JustEat, there was no response whatsoever. I tried calling the shop directly, but no one answered. This is unacceptable for a business; they should prioritise their customers. I placed my order on JustEat at 12:24 pm, and by 2:07 pm, there was still no response, with the delivery time continuing to be delayed. In the end, I had to cancel the order and choose another restaurant. This isn’t the first time on a previous occasion, I had the same experience. It seems as though they are unwilling to serve JustEat customers.

Really disappointing for the price. overcooked meat, soggy chips, stodgy, greasy , no salad and totally overpriced. Would not recommend. And we were starving as well!

Ingredients look good but somehow the lamb shawarma doesn't taste good, it was too salty and lacked flavour.

Great shawarma options on the go. They do have indoor seating as well. Shawarma is big size with different types of bread options. Other kebab and meat dishes too look good. Reasonable pricing for the quality and quantity offered. Friendly staff. Thier shawarma is better than other similar restaurants I tried in Edinburgh city.

I do not recommend anyone to visit him. I found chicken feathers with food and they smell not good and salty and many spices. I spent the day drinking water because of too .Lack of food hygiene much salt with food.

I am usually a bit harsh with food ratings, but this gave a good feeling about the food for the price of it. Apart from the cheap prices it has delicious shawarmas.

Overall good food, slightly dry pita bread and was missing hummus but it was tasty

We each had a wrap with bread made freshly infront of us. I really enjoyed my food, chilli sauce wasn't my favorite with almost a plum-like flavor to it. However, It was the only kebab I've ever had where I haven't felt like a greasebag after, which I think it's a great accolade. A credit to that fresh bread I think. I wouldn't personal go in here to sit down and eat, just because of the environment being quite old and tired with a TV playing where you eat, but I would 100% get another takeaway.

The shawarma itself was delicious and juicy. However the nan was too crispy and not suitable to use as a wrap persae and for the price I expected a bit more salad. Sauces were lovely, great packaging but it was pricey. Would order again but wouldn’t usually spend £20 on one meal

Stopped in for a takeaway chicken shawarma, delicious, well priced and very decent portion size. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Had the lamb shawarma wrap for lunch the doner was all dry literally wasn’t sure cause it was kept in front of the heat the meat was not even chewable. The bread was okay but very chewy. Salad in the doner was nice. For 7.99 you got better place to go on the same street from palmyra to Afro place behind.

Went for lunch, food came super fast. Everything was hot and fresh, the chicken shawarma was delicious. Non greasy clean meat which was great. Falafel and hummus was nice and the chips with lamb shawarma was a bigger portion than expected. Lamb was great, as well. Alhumdulilah really good food and service.

Close to school. Student discount on burritos. I can fill up my stomach every time I come out of the gym. I have been eating them for half a month now😚

Unfortunately there was no hummus on the wrap and nothing had any sauce on it at all but all stated it had chilli and garlic. Shame as the bread was good but everything was dry.

Good ambience and service quality was amazing however taste is detoriated. Chicken was not tasty enough and wrap was very tough. Should be bit soft and chicken should have more spices and proper marination, this is the 3rd time I had Shawarma wrap from here but today Shawarma was disappointing. Sorry for the negative review, but I want you to improve and grow.

Very average food for a very high price. Didn’t feel like a shawarma but rather a wrap. Not a single sauce was given with approx thirty pounds worth of food.

I dont know about other food here, but there shawarma wrap is 40% wheat, 50% cabbage, 5% cucumber, 5% chicken and tomato. No sauce, no hummus, no jalapeño, no pickle, nothing else. I have given 2 stars, because I tasted only 1 item, so can only comment on 1. Maybe others are very good. But there called shawarma house so that should have been good.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Went in for first time. We got reccomend the mixed grill for two, went with it but the portion size was so small, ended up ordering another two dishes, as well. The food tasted really nice and the normal kebab portions are okay. However the mixed grill was barely enough for one person.

Order says it has been delivered but that’s not the case. The delivery person showed up closeby but then the application said the order had been delivered. I went to the entrance of the building to check if the courier left it there but nothing. Absolutely horrible service I want to claim the full amount of the order ASAP

I got a falafel + veg + halloumi wrap, which was really delicious! I made it a student deal, which means I got chips and a can for only 1£ish more. I got takeaway but the interior had lovely decor and ambience so next time I would sit in.

My friend and I went here today and both got sick from the food - I thought I might have appendicitis and my friend had to leave work early. The atmosphere and people were nice but would recommend you avoid.

AVOID AND FIND AN ALTERNATIVE I am a doctor and sustained viral food poisoning after attending the premises on 09/12/23 In retrospect, we should have immediately refused dining here as there were some clear red flags… The hygiene of the premises is unacceptable. Tables are not kept clean, bins are left open and in the vicinity of diners. Secondly, the lamb shawarma contained hard, over cooked meat that was gritty. Veg was wilted and had been left exposed for too long. Grills are smattered in old grease and charred debris, and kitchen workers do not follow hand hygiene. AVOID!

Portion for £23 meal and quality is less than average. Salad was good though! delivery and service charge on the top that is weird. Not certain will order again… most restaurants in other cities deliver free of charge for orders above £10.

Amazing shawarma the best shawarma in Edinburgh

Extremely disappointed with our order. We ordered 2 mixed shawarma platters which cost £33. They looked absolutely nothing like the pictures. (I have pictures but can’t seem to find an option to upload any!) The portions were terrible. They arrived in small bowls and the meat was piled on top of a tiny wee bit nan bread. The salad clearly wasn’t fresh. The meat was crunchy and dry. Worst value for money! Avoid!

This is how food should be done, the freshly made bread is worth going for alone. Great staff aswell. My only gripe is that it's ruined other kebab shops for me! This place sets the standard and the prices are beyond reasonable. Give this place a go, you won't be disappointed.

Food was absolutely fantastic! Chicken tasty and delicious, salad mix simply amazing , all well packed right temperature and perfect texture, I could not wish for more ! I will be back for sure as I’m stuffed plus this is a very healthy meal! I truly recommend this place , hope they’ll keep the quality ! Thank you for such a tasty meal :) it was worth to wait !

Everything is fresh and cooking when serving the order's

Very disappointed to see the chips are always mixed with bad or early made ones. The samoon bread is also like from overnight! Please improve these two things don’t sell chips if they not freshly made. I always notice the guys in the shop always mixing with new ones!
