The Shark in Harlow

Really nice, friendly local pub. On our visit we were blessed with a really good band. Accordingly, couldn't help notice what a good venue it is for live music - set up and sounds are great.

Had a lovely time there when I was there friendly staff.

I haven’t eaten here but the staff are friendly and helpful and tge beverages are great.

Haven't eaten here, tye service was excellent and the drinks weren't too expensive.

Went on a long walk ended up at the shark pub long time since I've been there. two Genesis and two nuts dry roasted. Catching up texting. With some football match in the background pleasant atmosphere and bar staff

We were at a friday lunchtime 'wake'. Staff were 'switched on'. Everywhere including 'gents' clean & tidy. Garden likewise + plenty of outside seating. I expect friday evening would be both busier & noisier judging by the PA system in the corner!

Helpful management, very good venue to enjoy a pint watching the three lions!

Disappointing. Only lager or Guinness on tap (no IPA or bitter or mild). Odd smell to the place too.

Asked for the manager but nowhere to be seen, seriously unreliable service, the workers are gold but the place is a train wreck

Great quiz on a Monday and friendly locals. Karaoke and often a covers band on over the weekend... Sam is an excellent landlord.

Always a good atmosphere. Can't comment on the food as I've never eaten here, Service is good and can't fault it

Tried three different types of lager this evening, ( cos first one tasted like cream soda) all three were bad. Recommend lines to be cleaned. A refund would have been nice. Won’t be going there again.

Me and all my friends love going to the shark each weekend, it’s got a great atmosphere and they always play great songs you can sing and dance along to. The customer service is always outstanding from everyone especially James and Kieran who are always smiling. It’s an amazing pub and we always have a great time.

Great pub, Sam and the staff are lovely. Especially Vickie (the ginger). The pub has something for everyone on different night like the quiz and open mic nights to a meat raffle on sunday afternoons. The regulars are welcoming and friendly as well.

I have frequented the shark for some years now, I’m no stranger to Mac’s pubs but this is easily the best in town, I often visit the hare which is a lovely food pub, but If drinking quality AK is youR game then the shark is second to none, my thanks to Vee for keeping the AK it top condition. I highly recommend you give it a try!

The shark is a brilliant local. Customers and staff (Sam, Victoria, vicky, Grace, emily, Amber Kieran and james) are all remarkably nice 👌 definatly recommend.

I had my birthday drinks in the pub a couple of weeks ago and Vicki goane made it so nice and welcoming for me, she went out of her way that extra mile to make my birthday evening. She is always so welcoming and has a smile on her face. Xx

The shark pub is awesome for some live music every other Thursday and the poker night (every tuesday) is always a good laugh. The regular customers who I’ve become aquatinted with recently are amazing and the handful of nights I’ve dropped in on a Friday I’ve felt like I was in a club. The layered shots are awesome and highly recommend the ‘slippery nipple’. Will be back soon 👍🏽

Went to the shark not long ago lovely settings and decor highly recommended coming down defo when sports is on always busy when football is on wouldn’t watch it anywhere else the Manager is a great laugh and always welcoming but one girl stood out her smile and her politeness always made sure I was comfortable and a great laugh her name is Victoria Goane I deffo recommend this pub coming back this Friday for audio grooves don’t miss it

I attended the shark a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing evening. Audio Grooves had some awesome house music, brilliant evening! I definitely recommend it for a great night out!

I went with my mates to the Shark pub the other day and the staff members were really kind and awesome especially the barwoman with ginger hair, not sure of her name I think Vickie. It was just really refreshing to see someone so passionate about what they do.

Went to the shark on Saturday just gone and the girl with orange hair was great and very inviting. Would defo come back soon for that reason!!

This weekend I had such a great experience from the shark, I had such a laugh with the lady with the ginger hair, she would always have a smile every time she came over to me being very nice and very approachable. I would definitely come here again :)

Came in a few Fridays ago for some drinks with friends. We were served by a lovely girl called Victoria she was so warm and friendly and really made our night. She has amazing beautiful red hair!! See you soon Victoria

Not long lived in the area and spent a few weekends down at the shark when they have there djs on I felt nothing but a warm welcome from all staff but one lovely lady stood out to me such a hard working individual her name is Victoria goane she definitely deserves my 5* review thanks you x

Even if the shark wasn’t my local pub it would be my pub of choice. Always good entertainment and the bar staff are always friendly. Great crowd and the regulars are friendly . Grace is an excellent barmaid always friendly and remembers your drinks orders. Looking forward to another fun packed weekend

I had a lovely experience at this wonderful bar, there was a waiter called james I believe working there who made the bar feel very welcoming. I was also impressed by the professionalism of all of the staff members and the delicious taste of their good beer for a fair price. In conclusion, I would highly recommend visiting this excellent bar and I recommend asking for james to serve you for an even better experience.

A wonderful atmosphere depending on what night you go Staff are friendly and approachable. Emily wylie is a 1st class barmaid easy to talk to and a great sense of humour to boot.

The Shark is always a good place to go despite the fact that McMullens always increase their beer prices before a budget is announced.

Great pub.... however needs more staffing. Waiting over 15 minutes for a drink ain't on.

My experience at the Shark was very good. It was very clean and the staff wore masks and ensured people walking around did too. They cleaned the tables as soon as somebody left without hesitation spraying and wiping down. Providing a table service for orders and remaining busy and happy to help. Loads of hand sanitiser available along with the scan for check and trace. Wonderful safe enviroment. Probably one of the safest and most caring I have visited so far.

Great team work, managed by Sam, the manager. Friendly staff adhereing to latest SOP's. A few difficult customers who were dealt with quickly & professionally. Well done all ✔
