The Seven Wives in Huntingdonshire

A nice bustling little pub. Came in to watch the football and sink a couple of pints. It was lively and a good atmosphere.

We stopped here going to watch Redditch play St Ives. It is a lovely pub, great service, great atmosphere and the locals are so welcoming and friendly.

Atmosphere is terrible. Left with a headache from the rubbish music being blasted so the neighbouring villages can hear it. Do not go to this pub if you are wanting a conversation you simply can not hear anyone! Simply disappointed.

The curry evening was fantastic. The food was flavoursome and well cooked. Quality ingredients used with plenty of it. Lots of side dishes frequently replenished and table service giving the right amount of attention without being too much. Fantastic atmosphere. Will bee going back again!

A must book carvery with plenty of choices. Great service from meat carver Gary ,great staff checking all is ok. really good value for money for as much as you dare put on your plate. well worth it. Have a pudding if you can fit it in !

Good pub food at good prices. Regularly go for lunch.

On a pub stop on the way to football. Large pub with massive gardens at the rear. Bouncy castle,slides etc for children. Large covered seating area with massive TV screen. Good service,no pub food on but a mobile kebab van reasonable prices all freshly cooked.

Great owners and great facilities. Beer garden is 1 of the best I have been to.

Really poor management here, service wasn’t great and average drinks. Not one of the best in St Ives.

The landlord is horrible. The place is completely corrupt. I didn’t feel safe there. Don’t go.

I arrived a little before midday. As there were signs of two chaps mending or creating something, wasnt obvious the advertised open time of 12 noon was happening. So from the car I telehoned to check. The lady very cheerful assured me, yes they were serving food/lunch and yes they were open at 12, welcome. On entering the building via the beer garden entrance. A long table was beautifully set up, two elderly ladies, looked round and said hello, looking at me curiously. I continued walking through to the bar area. Young lady confirmed they did not serve 0 alcocol koppenberg, but had other flavours. Declined to give me lunch menu, as only now were they telling me the kitchen was mostly closed to a large private party !! (Which I had just walked through - apologies for that x) Offer was Pizza and pint - £10.00 Being so hungry to point dizziness accepted my fate wondering the nice lady on the phone 10 mins prior had not informed me of this fact. Open for a new experience, I ordered the chicken bbq one. Added note as I survey the main pub seating area, most areas apart from one Right side of toilets (lovely), are with the highest bar stools and tables ! Which looked most uncomfortable and impractical. When pizza arrived smallish size wize (See photo), with a very different base bread almost like stale hard not bending dog bisciut, awful tasting... Toppings looked generous, but hot like just been microwaved for few seconds, sauce like moulten lava, and so much of it couldnt taste anything else, chicken very dry, cheese not that melted, managed only two pieces. Very, very disappointed to be promised one thing on phone but receive so much different. Ok bathroom before leaving, 1st cubicle in ladies, not a pleasant site. Loo seat broken hinges, very unattached, hard to sit on, unfortunately only option, as the 2nd cubile the light was broken and to close the door would have been like sitting inside an unknown cupboard... this one more luxurious as offered a whole toilet seat experience. Whole area, needs redecorating. Positive they had a high range hand dryer !! At this point, I left, walking past the person who served me, unchallenged about why pizza was stll left at my table !! So wished the lady on phone had told me whole service option. Very disappointed, sorry. Front of pub, beautiful front terraced area, umbrellas ovef tables, beautiful. Car park down left side (if looking from front building). Unusual shape not wide, should imagine fills up quickly, difficult to get out if fills after arrive.

Opened on Sunday for breakfast just for the Legion Riders. Thank you. Fantastic location, I would urge other motorbike groups to contact them. Very obliging.

Didn't eat there, just a few drinks. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great set up for outside bbq and watching sports . Quiet when we visited.

Huge pub, not very atmospheric more like a huge creche for parents that want to get drunk than a pub with a garden.

After a long day at work i went to seven wives to have a drink and relax for a bit. I ordered a gin n tonic which i was given in a plastic cup. It was so disappointing to pay 8.90 for that. I understand at the end of the day for various reasons you might run out of glasses but what made me angry was that There was no heads up given before pouring it in the pathetic looking plastic cup. It really ruined my experience.

Good karaoke once a month on a Friday.

Edited 6 years later to add the 5th and final star and say "The Seven Wives of St Ives has great outside seating areas and very go ahead management. Favourite stop of the St Ives Carnival as it stops outside for pictures of the floats. Well rated as the most famous pub in the world".

Once again they did us proud i eat there every 1st Wednesday of the month with a group of friends.

This is a very standard pub with all the obvious lagers and ciders on tap. It is well maintained and clean, with a vibrant atmosphere. There was nothing on the drinks selection that excited or astounded, but equally, nothing to offend. It has parking, which is handy because I was there for the food truck (Pig Casso's) which was a 5/5.

This is a big pub with a large outside area and play area for children, would recommend at least a visit to see. Not eaten here so not sure about the food, also has pool tables in and out. 8/10

An amazing space. Nice food. Shame the food finishes so early on a Sunday. Be extra clear and question food delivery if you have an allergy to make sure they remembered your needs.

Lovely outdoor atmosphere, friendly staff.....so hope the outside doesn't have to close because of 'fussy' neighbours!

The buffet was dreadful couldn't eat anything.

Despite living in St Ives for over 10 years, this was my first visit here, on a family visit for Sunday lunch. There are 2 options of roast (beef and turkey) with other dishes (including kids menu) too. I has the beef roast which was delicious. We were all very happy with the food, it wasn't expensive (£65 for the 4 of us including mains, deserts, and drinks) and the service was spot on too. We most definitely won't wait another 10 years before coming back.

Fantastic family food, pub, bar, and has a very spacious garden, with play area, and bouncy castle. There is also an outdoor area fit with bar and stage, which was used for a friends birthday celebration. Down to earth owners, and fab friendly staff, fast service, and lots of smiles all around. This is why I have visited a number of times now, day and evening, and with family, children, and friends alike.

This is my favourite bar in St Ives, the Sunday roasts are excellent and the outdoor space in the back is the best I’ve ever seen. I love the fact there is live music on Sunday afternoons as well.

The outdoor area is absolutely amazing, plenty for kids to enjoy and lots of comfortable outdoor seating and has outdoor bar , daughter loved the bouncy castle ,wished we lived closer so we could come all the time, but we are looking forward to coming back next summer when we come to visit family

Love the outdoor seating area summertime, caters for all age groups, young families especially, not sat inside so can't comment. Some of the bands are also very good, but I'd imagine ppl living close by won't be too happy!!!

Exceptional Pub and restaurant that has made the most of its location due to COVID! The large car park and garden at the rear have been totally converted to a huge covered area with bar, dance floor and very comfortable seating - the play area for children at the bottom of the garden remains safe and well maintained - the addition of Bounce Castle kept the Kids well entertained! Certainly catering for all the family with quality food, beers & wine at very reasonable cost! Well Done!

This was a lovely little find in St Ives! we was looking for a family friendly pubwith facilities for kids and food also. our party was 4 adults and a 3 year old! We was pleasantly surprised and shocked to find what we walked into! This place looked amazing and provided us with exactly what we was looking for and more!! They had converted the car park for an outside pub area during pandemic and this was absolutely beautiful to walk into on the hottest day this week when it was 31 degreeze. They had a beautiful set up of a canopy wooden beams fairy lights , decorations around , tables and chairs, stage, 3 t.vs on wall, music a pool table , bar, outside activity for kids , park swings , wooden apparatus and a bouncy castle! The staff was lovely and friendly and prompt with there service. The food was limited in choice but was absolutely delicious and of good quality Worth the money and it tasted so fresh,Morish and delightful. Colourful and good portion size! I would deffinatly recommend this place and we will deffinatly be returning it's too amazing not to. You need to see it to understand. Would be ideal for weddings and parties as they also have hog roast and nachos, Thursday Friday and Saturdays , different events on different days! We are deffinatly going back! Thank you soo much seven wives for such a lovely time at your amazing establishment. . Highly recommend! 😊😊

The only pub in st.ives that is truly family friendly. Bouncy castle, park and toys for the kids in a gated area allowing you to relax while watching the kids. The baby and toddler group is relaxed and friendly. The refurbishments have changed this pub for the better and it looks amazing.

Just not great - both myself and partner left most of our beer (defo not a habit)

Looks scruffy and dirty. Needs a huge investment to bring this up to a decent standard. We ended up not eating or drinking. Maybe that was a wise choice.
