The atmosphere in this healthfood shop is informal and yet, the shop employees know about their products, also they're helpful and engaging often. The shop is tightly packed with packaged food and fresh food, like vegetables, fruit and salad. In the front of the shop, sofa's invite you to enjoy a coffee or tea. With or without a snack. This shop is a social hub in that way.

Was looking for somewhere for lunch and found this cute place serving coffee and a few cakes. They have small amount of tables and suggested we could buy salad tub for lunch; seemed a great possibility of doing light lunches with all the lovely ingredients you sell. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Down to earth store, most things you need from a few potatoes to toothpaste. A welcome addition to the selection of shops in Buckfastleigh.

Wow What a great little place this is. Community run cafe with a twist. It’s also a whole food shop too. Or is it the other way round? Regardless, it’s great! It’s really really friendly and my little terrier was more than welcome.

Buckfastleigh residents are so lucky to have this lovely organic shop on their doorstep. I visited for a few days and popped in a couple of times to get a few items. There was a great range of fresh and cupboard provisions.

Amazing veg for reasonable cash, and the best sourdough you'll ever taste. Mellow sofa section for coffee (but I didn't try any) Worth it for the bread alone, didn't expect to find it in such a weird little town.

It's about time Buckfastleigh had a health food shop. Not only that but it sells locally made food and has locally grown plants and vegetables. It has seating for a handful of people if you want to meet up for a chat and a hot drink.

I love this place, the coffee is great and they also do the best GF cake! It's a community run, NFP store that sells local produce at fair prices, it's a hive of activity and such an important part of the town, keep up the good work guys! x

Visited every day of holiday for morning coffee and a little local banter. The Seed also sold a wide variety of organic/health/green products.

A fantastic little community venture! The seed serves excellent coffee and cake, with a very ambient cafe embedded inside a superbly stocked whole food/fairtrade shop. Places like this should be wholeheartedly supported along with the enthusiasts who make them happen.

I did a review nearly a year ago and don't know why we haven't been back sooner. We had a delicious Sunday roast today and shared a gorgeous Strawberry Cheese cake. Extremely good value meal and the Dartmoor Legend a good price too. The place is spotless the staff are attentive I would highly recommend the Rising Sun.

Was on the lookout for gluten free options and after walking miles around Teignmouth I'd given up hope! Until I came across this little gem..!! So many options to me for lunch and an amazing selection of cakes and scones. I opted for a jacket potato and it was served with a salad which I thought was such a nice touch so many places don't do this. Iced coffee and lemon cake - all gluten free! Can't wait to visit again and bring my kids next time. It was in a good location and the tables were spaced perfectly, it was clean and the owner was super friendly - what more do you want?! Would highly recommend
