Fabulous view from The Seacliff Restaurant Beautifully presented dishes on the taster menu and each course was amazing !!!! Excellent service throughout the meal from Lisa and Jaycee Highly recommend this experience

Perfect position, and a really excellent cream tea. Good value and friendly staff.

View is beautiful, but it ends there... Worst meal I have ever had! On holiday with my mum and thought we'd go for a nice dinner. Was seated in a dingy corner. Windows were dirty so couldn't even take nice pictures. Asked the waitress a few questions about the menu, she couldn't answer them. Order two items on the menu, then had the waitress come back and tell us they didn't have it available. Ordered mushroom and truffle bruchetta for starters and my god it was the most saltiest thing I have ever eaten. So salty that it was bitter! Had one bite and couldn't stomach any more. Ordered a pizza and some seabass for mains. Guess what? Seabass was also so salty that it was bitter... suspicious? Pizza was burnt too. Had a word with the manager, said he couldn't do anything. Spent over 20minutes trying to get the attention of staff to get the bill. Got fed up and went looking for staff, found our waitress and asked her for the bill, she looked at us and walked off. We had to queue at the bar to pay for our bill! At a Michelin star restaurant we had to queue to pay our bill!! Meanwhile everyone else looked like they were having a lovely time and being very well catered to. Remember what I said about suspicious? Everyone else was white, we are not. Nothing else to be said 2023, absolutely atrocious and disgusting

JC our server was amazing, so attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Food was excellent, best pudding I’ve ever had - (the banana cheesecake- wow) . Definitely recommend.

We ate here on Saturday night and it did not disappoint! Wonderful views from the restaurant and beautiful food served to us by friendly and helpful waitress. The Cove restaurant next door was a bit noisy, so perhaps a curtain could soften that, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment. We would recommend this place.

Had built up quite some expectations for our visits as we had heard of their tasting menu, along with a good wine pairing. However during our visit that wasn't being offered. We ordered appetizers and mains, and they were... Alright? Nothing special or memorable. For the amount we spent we expected something else entirely. All in all disappointed with the visit, and wanted so much more. The toilets were also very disgusting, wet all over the floor and on the seats.

What a shame. Beautiful location, lovely building. To dine in the Seacliff restaurant and experience the 3 rosette menu, means being sat in a stark, austere and somewhat awkward atmosphere in a gold fish bowl. While the more relaxed diners outside looked in! The food was ok, nothing overly exciting. Very slow delivery as the chefs were busy with the more relaxed diners outside. We ordered desserts and coffee after 2 hours for 2 courses. Americano served in huge latte glasses spilt all over the delivery tray. Desserts never came before we walked out and asked to be seated somewhere else. Desserts and replacement coffees still weren’t delivered 20 minutes later. The waitress apologised for the delays and proceeded to advise she had knocked them off the bill, like she had done us a favour! Very poor, please concentrate on doing good food well and stop all the pretence!

We dined here last year and it was to die for the food ambiance and service we couldn’t wait to return again. I’m not sure what’s happened but we had a completely different experience Every dish was lacking in flavour! There was no attention to detail. Service wasn’t great it felt as if the waitress didn’t want to be there Stains on table and glassware I wouldn’t put this in the 3 rosette Category.

Beautiful location , sadly not that well organised , management unable to compromise with solving issues they caused , would be wary about organising any thing other than a small dinner at this resturant

If you're after an adventure in food, this is the place to go. Friendly and attentive staff. Food both delicious and exciting. And a sea view to die for! Excellent!

Wonderful small fine dining restaurant off main restaurant at this hotel on a stunning position overlooking the sea. We had a stunning meal, wonderful wine and lovely service from Jacey and great rum advice from the bar manager!

Faultless. The food and service is second to none We went for the taster menu and every course was faultless. The wine flight was perfectly paired. The head chef even came out to talk to us. Thank you for a perfect evening We will be back when in the area again

Wonderful service by Jaycee, so helpful & cheerful. The food in The Seacliffe was fabulous & although it wasn't cheap it was so worth it. Would definitely return.

We've been here several times over the last couple of years and the food has been fantastic. This time, we were very disappointed. It was more gastro pub than fine dining ~ there just wasn't the amazing mix of flavours and beautiful presentation that we have previously had. Several elements of our starters that were stated on the menu were missing, and mashed potato and fatty beef for £30 seemed a bit of a rip off. I don't think we'll be coming back. The waitress, however, was lovely.

Came here with some friends as It was recommended. The food was amazing with lots of choice on small plates to start. The main course of Devon wagyu short rib was to die for. We were a table of 6 and everything was faultless. The service was second to none. And the head chef Carla even came out to talk to us so we could thank her and the team for such a brilliant night. We have a holiday cottage in the area and this is definitely our new favourite place to eat when visiting Devon Can’t wait to return

This place deserves a Michelin star. It’s the Second time we have visited and everytime has been perfect. The service is second to none and the food choices are amazing. The menu changed within a couple of weeks of us visiting. Wine choice is great and the knowledge on the staff when asking questions is amazing. We will be back time and time again

We visited the Seacliff restaurant this evening to taste the menu before booking for a family celebration. The food was incredible and the views are stunning. We came with our two small children and Jaycee did a wonderful job of looking after us (including making a fuss of our daughter and sorting a children’s menu for her from the Cove restaurant, next door). We had enquired in advance about a gluten free menu and the chef had provided information about which dishes would be suitable. Thank you for a lovely evening. We’ll definitely be back to celebrate with you!

This was a very expensive view……the scenery is just stunning and the restaurant has a huge amount of potential. However, the quality of the food completely let the place down and, while the service was friendly, it was not at a level that I would expect from somewhere that appears to be promoting itself to be a fine dining experience. Such a shame.

Beautiful location. Food was excellent but overall let down by very poor customer service. The staff worked hard but unfortunately there just wasn't enough of them and they lacked fine dining training.

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel special, great menu choice. the food is of a very high standard, we tried the taster menu, which was worth every penny for the taste sensations. quiet ambience made this a special experience.

This is a genuine review from someone within the industry. I was extremely impressed by not only the quality of food, ingredients and care taken to prepare each dish by Carla and her team, my partner and I were amazed by Jess’ service. As soon as we arrived and were greeted by Jess’ lovely smile and welcome, we knew we would return before even trying the food. From there, the evening continued to impress us. Food was absolutely amazing. Such a lovely setting with stunning views across the beautiful Combe Martin Bay. Sadly, the service was not as you expect in a fine dinning restaurant such as this. Having to ask for our wine glasses to be topped up 3 times and having to go and find our waitress after no one had been into the restaurant for 20 mins is hardly acceptable. Our waitress was very polite and apologetic however. Also. The toilets were disgusting. Water and paper all over the floor in both the mens and ladies. Obviously not been serviced at all during the evening. Having said that, we will visit again and would recommend purely because of the food and location. Let’s hope the service improves next time. There will not be a third visit if not.

The restaurant is in a fantastic position overlooking Combe Martin and the surrounding hills. The a la carte menu is varied and thoughtful with a good selection of wines. We ordered fish and steak and it was fantastic- compliments to the chefs Carla & Jake....

Absolutely stunning food and setting. Went with the wine pairing to go with the meal and it suited so well. Our server, Sharna, was very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and very accomodating, even going so far as to giving my girlfriend a pint of Coke in a fancy glass so as to suit the meal lol. We think that the wait staff should have a sample of the full menu as part of their training as they deserve to experience how delicious everything is.
