The service and the atmosphere is always great here but the food isn't the best by any means.

An excellent example of a Wetherspoons, the food was great and hot, served within a reasonable time too.

Cocktails were nice although I don't know why weatherspoons puts enough ice in there for 12 drinks 😛

To be fair, I've only been in the day, so I can't comment on evenings. Nice place,food decent( mainly have breakfast). Car park can get a bit full at time but at least it has one many spoons dont.

They don't allow dogs not even when you are sitting outside.

Good beer cafe, well kept real ales at knockdown prices. Lively!

Friendly staff and lovely ambience - Malaysian curry with a change from rice to nann, and a change from soft drink to hot/non-alcoholic drink for free. Yum but no spicy for this 🌶️🌶️ curry dish 😃

The staff were very efficient serving the drinks and ordering the food fir our group of 4 . The food arrived speedily about 10 mins after ordering. The waitress was pleasant and efficient. This us a great pub serving reasonably priced food. The location is great straight next to crystal peaks so well srvex for byses and trams.We reccomend this pub and will use again.

Huge pub with poor indoor and outdoor seating. Easy to use the app to order. Food came quickly despite the number in party. Ran out of coffee beans in the machine until it was filled later.

Ordered from the 3 dishes for £14.93 menu, very nice food, great selection of drinks, plenty of tables.

Service good, quite good food although the stake on my mixed grill was nearly all grisly but the rest of it was well cooked, the place itself was welcoming with a pleasant atmosphere. Had breakfast on Sunday well cooked but not hot enough. Had breakfast today all good. I will go back. We've been back today, and nothing has changed just as good 👍

Brill little local. Good food and comes out fast too. Always use table service as waiting at the bar can take a while. Nice and quiet in day but gets super busy in an evening and weekend esp if suns out.

Great fantastic spoons.. Better in winter when the fabulous fireplace is lit..

Great if you like feeling like an animal in a zoo being fed scraps. Open plan nightmare. Shame on you John Wetherspoons. I think the brownie was okay. Chicken tasted like it was degraded before cooking. Chips were drier than my nan... Best part of this meal was the J20. Recommend the apple. Good parking even though was busy however... But that doesn't make up for the mental trauma of having to go to this Wetherspoons. I hope the person who served us had a goods night sleep because they looked tired.

Food was usual average Wetherspoons standard however the price seems to increase and portions decrease as time goes on. At the time of writing, regular breakfast £4.99 and coffee £1.56, orange juice £2.41. Total £8.91. For £10.99 you can get unlimited full cooked English and continental breakfast including unlimited juice and coffee / tea at Beefeater restaurants.

When in to get some food and meet some friends from Pennine food great to meet up then had some food and enjoyed it

I can't comment on the service as it is that packed you cannot get in, parking is awful and you have to wait for a space to then get inside and there are hundreds of people and no chance of getting a table. On a Thursday afternoon no less. Great if you like being a sardine in a tin.

Not your usual Wetherspoon pub, not many ‘chavs’. Food was a great price and lovely but not freshly cooked. Called on a Monday and although there were plenty of people in it wasn’t packed. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy pub

Lovely to visit, take the atmosphere in with what the old Damons was. A nice pint of Guinness and to remember what the place once was.

Very busy and it's a very spacious laid out public house

Just been and had a terrible meal. Steak was so tough and no flavour. Chips were cold, managed to get attention of a server who apologised and fetched me a bowl of lukewarm chips. Needless to say the meal was left untouched. Sat there for over 40 minutes and all the servers made sure they stayed away from our table so they wouldn't have to deal with the fact that my wife and I had left our meals and wanted to complain. Very poor food and service.

Our visit was unfortunately unsuccessful because of the building site in the car park and no parking space. So went to Drake house mill. Hopefully they will develop the all site and no one can go there

It’s a great Weatherspoons pub and what you generally expect from one. But the parking is horrendous and not nearly enough spaces for the crowd the pub gets.

Felt like being in a cattle market not be going back. also waitress dropped a tub of colsaw and showered us and next table and never even apologised about it just gave us paper towels to clean ourselves not good at all

Always busy good food and quick and efficient service. Go every Saturday

Small portions for price paid, food not that great, get a better burger at McDonald's

Visited one Sunday evening and managed to find a table for 4 where we ordered food and drinks. All arrived very swiftly and we were checked on at keast twice during our visit. Food was good and value for money we thought. Would visit again

Best Wetherspoon around! We go here literally for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food quality is consistently good, and the staff are all friendly and helpful!

This place is always busy which must say how popular it is but you never have to wait long for service. Prices are well worth it . Love it here.

Worst Wetherspoons I've been to, absolutely filthy. Had bad stomach pain since yesterday's breakfast. Coffee machines are usually broken and the car park is a nightmare.

Great new wetherspoons next to Crystal peaks in the old damons restaurant usual wetherspoons value enthusiastic staff great feature fire place very clean been twice in a week and will call in again revisited again today 22/11 still the same value and attentive staff a big bonus is the downstairs w/c a real boon for us olden,s called in again today 13/02/24 no real change parking is becoming an issue as half the car park is currently a building site

Had previous experiences, and they were great, this time though the steak was pretty much 60% gristle. Inedible, and when we told the manager, he said sorry there is nothing we can do about it. It's pretty shocking for a gourmet steak...... don't cook it if you can't eat it. Won't be going here again if that how they deal with poor food

It's a big Weather spoons with a very big car park. And toilets are on the ground floor. Recommend.

Good cheap evening out with food and drinks. Ordered via app one party at our table got their meal 10 mins before after ordering 10 mins after so had to question it but other than that was all good

Food today was lovely I was sat near where they make it and saw how clean they work one lad were mopping and one lass after everything she made the cloth was out cleaning up.. It looks so organised with makes me very happy 😁
