The Scarbrough Hotel in Leeds

Conocí a mi hermana y a mi cuñado por una copa o varias antes de que fueran a un espectáculo nocturno. Como han pasado varios años desde la última vez que estuve allí llamé temprano ese día para un café (dos en realidad, pero quién está contando). No puedo felicitar al personal lo suficientemente por el nivel de servicio que prestaron. La comida que tuvimos estaba ligeramente por encima de la comida normal del pub. Hay 9 sí 9 bombas de cerveza real / barril en la barra, por desgracia solo 8 estaban funcionando. Eso me ha planteado un reto. ¿Puedo "dirigir el bar"? El Scarborough Hotel está cerca de la estación de tren, pero debido a las obras de la carretera que parecen haber continuado durante años hacen que el acceso desde allí sea ligeramente difícil. Puedo recomendar este pub si estás en Leeds. Un hecho importante que casi me pierdo, no hay (peceras encantadas) pantallas de televisión que vi.

Scarbrough Taps siempre ha sido un ganador. Pub decente y ubicación fabulosa. Ayer fui a tomar algo con mi madre, mi hija y mis 3 mejores amigas. Pedí una botella de efervescencia ya que mi hija tenía una buena noticia que iba a compartir con los demás. El hombre detrás de la barra lo trajo como habíamos discutido discretamente (tenga en cuenta que el servicio de camareros de Scarbrough Grifos no) y un tazón de fresas! Era brillante. Esos pequeños toques de excelente servicio al cliente son lo que marca la diferencia en tu día a día. -Muchas gracias.

Just been to the Scarborough Hotel with friends had a lovely meal, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Just love that place full of character.

One of my favourite venues for a drink in Yorkshire. Decor of a bygone era echoes the rich history & character of Leeds. However the verisimilitude of an original gin & ale house goes deeper than the mere scenery. The pub has a third dimensional aspect too, its own soul together with a vibe of timeless collective unity where all walks of life gather. Equally one can chill alone. If revising a script I sit behind glass partition table 4/5. The place is like stepping into a Tardis to experience how good pubs truly used to be. Food & drinks are very good quality. Regular staff are top notch, down to earth & helpful. (Haven’t met any other shifts.) All areas & toilets are spotless even in busy periods, a rare find cos can’t say the same of many establishments when packed to full capacity. CHEERS TILL NEXT TIME!

Este lugar es un hallazgo brillante, y justo al lado de la estación de tren tan conveniente! Comida increíble y un ambiente muy cálido y amable, personal encantador y atento y una gran variedad de comida y bebida para elegir, hecho con un estándar profesional adecuado. Lo recomendaría a todos, ir con la familia, amigos, cualquier persona! Definitivamente volveré : )

One of the Nicholson's pubs with their food menu and close to the railway station. Vegetarian options. Prompt service. Good selection of handpulled cask beers: Black Sheep, Kirkstall Brewery, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Brew York Calmer Chameleon Pale Citrus Ale, Purity Brewing Co's Mad Goose Pale Ale, Titanic Brewery's Plum Porter, Nicholson's Pale Ale and Sharp's Brewing Co's Sea Fury Special Ale. I tried a half of Sea Fury and it was a lovely smooth drop, slid slowly down. Cellarman here knows how to look after their beer. Would definitely revisit.

Excellent superbly run pub. Toby has created hospitality as it should be…Excellent beer, service and atmosphere. Can’t comment on food as just went for a drink but will do next time.

Good pub nice beers and top food had the rib eye steak very good definitely call here again when I am in the area and you should give it a try for yourself I did and loved it

Charming pub with tonnes of character and space plus a decent selection of beers.

First time in The Scarborough came straight off the train for a well needed drink. The place is very quirky, had a relaxed atmosphere plenty or people coming and going. Comfortable seating and areas throughout. Plenty on offer from the drinks and food selection.

What a beautiful pub! Love the inside. And the staff were incredibly friendly. Definitely a diamond around that side of town! X

The Scarbrough Hotel is a classic traditional pub, offering a genuine ambiance, welcoming friendly service, and offering the finest selection of burgers in town. The service, as per usual, was extremely good, and the reserved table was ideal for our group of three. The food was exceptional, as ever, and the speed of food preparation was impressive while maintaining high standards. As regards improvements, I can’t fault the venue or team..

Quick service even though it was busy... Great friendly staff, and a warm and welcome atmosphere.

Avoid on match days. Great choice of real ales and Toby's not bad either (The Boss )

So glad I chose to bring my team here for a work meal. Proper traditional English pub, inside and out. Service was excellent with Toby checking on our order (16 people) as it was brought over. Was slightly delayed for the last couple of people, but understandable with a table of that size on a Monday afternoon. The food was, in general, great. I recommend the beef shin, rib and brisket pie. The beef was good quality, not overly fatty and fell apart perfectly. The mash was excellent and roasted carrots were also very tasty with a good herbiness to them. Chips also fit the bill. Sadly doing Dry January so couldn't sample the decent selection of drinks at the bar. Just means I'll be back again, and happily so.

The food Beef and ale pie was good. Shame the plates were actually cold. It is a city center bar but prices a little high.

Popped in 'really early doors'(12.30) but 15 mins later it was getting busy. Fantastic local/decor feel about the place, great ales (a little pricy) but thoroughly enjoyed the visit.

Solid little boozer. A staple if you're from Leeds! Bar staff specifically asked if any dietary issues/allergies when ordering food, which was great.

Lovely place with great service, drinks are a little on the high side price wise but the place is still well worth a visit.

Ridiculously over priced so called "traditional" pub...... Pint of Madri, £6:20....!!

Lovely food to be had here, came about 7pm after a LUFC at home game, so it was very busy. Despite that, having ordered through the QR code at our table, the food was totally lovely! We had the hand-pulled lamb shank shepherds pie, served with fresh veggies and and more gravy, which only a little of which was needed, as this was so succulent and minty, topped with mash too so 5* I had the garlic chicken snitchzel, gorgeous! The extra garlic mayo on the side was very authentic too, tasted homemade all of it!!

My wife were on vacation and made a stop in Leeds. Looking for quick meal... we made a stop in the Scarbrough Hotel (which is close to Leeds Station).... in the Nicholson's Pub. My wife had the Fish and Chips and I had the Lamb Shank Shepherds Pie... that even included a drink. The food was great FANTASTIC. And of course we had to have the Sticky Toffee Pudding. We had been trying Sticky Toffee Pudding all across the UK and we both agreed that the Nicholson's Pub, in Leeds, was the absolute BEST we had.

This pub is nowhere near my actual "local", but I treat it as if it were - they go the extra mile, so it's worth my while going a couple of extra miles to get there!

We ate at the Scarborough, sharing platter and Nachos both were very good . Cracking service and a great atmosphere, would recommend

Saturday 14th September 2024 This pub next to leesds train station tonight was a really good drinking pub with rooms yo srop in Tonight, there were 7 hand pumped ales on there is a camera discount the clientelle were very sociable and the bar staff were great this real ale pub is a very good place to drink and socialise in

My partner had been talking about this place for weeks before we came up to leeds, it was amazing. Staff and customers are very friendly and the manager deserves 5* of his own. Food was so good, thank you!!

Didn't have food but stopped for a quick drink while getting our bearings. Great service, and very welcoming landlord. (Or I think that's who had just received his successful beer delivery) Definitely pop by to say hello.

Toby and his staff were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us. We were sat under air con, so after mentioning it, it was immediately turned off for us.

Just popped in for a thirst quenching drink! Nice and quiet as late morning. Both staff members so friendly and welcoming. Lovely premises. Will call again when next in Leeds !

Not British so can't comment on the authenticity of the pies but they were tasty and good portions too, and the potato purée is really good here! People at the bar were friendly enough to help me choose a beer too, overall it's a really nice place.

Met up with friends on a weekend visit to Leeds. Scarborough hotel bar and tap had great staff lovely beers and a brilliant atmosphere. Was there Friday and Saturday.

A warm welcome from the staff behind the bar. Fabulous food in an excellent atmosphere. Rib Eye Steak Pie was delicious.

The Scarborough hotel is a good pub with nice beers, but expensive, just had 1 drink, we enjoyed it but as pensioners we won't be back.

Like most city centre pubs it was much better before the middle classes got hold of it. Overpriced and pretentious. Not for me.

We had lunch for 10 people, which was very well organised from emailing the menu and pre-order form, and the food was served promptly on time and perfectly cooked.

Popped in to the Scarborough for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The beer and food were of a very acceptable standard. The staff are welcoming and efficient. I will certainly be visiting this establishment when I visit Leeds in the future.

Absolutely loved this place . The young lad behind the bar was so friendly . And the food was amazing 👏 . Did not get young lads name but had line tattoo s on his arm . Very friendly pub .

We paid a visit here on our way back to train station. Really loved our visit loved the huge selection of drinks and in a very good old historic place which had a good atmosphere. Customer Service from bar staff was excellent.

The quality of the cask ales in the Scarbrough is five star, no question!! Both the Black Sheep Best Bitter and the Old Peculiar were in first class condition. Thank you to Toby and his staff for a lovely welcome and chat, even though it was quite busy. Will be back soon I hope!

A large group of us go there annually for the Burns' night celebrations. The food was delicious and the service is fantastic! After a lovely 3 course meal, the landlord talked us through several tasting whiskies. As a bonus, the landlady had made us a whisky cake! Scrumptious and much appreciated!

Not been The Scarborough for absolutely ages and loved it. Surprisingly not too crowded, which was nice, and the range and quality of beers was excellent.

Its a long time since I last visited this pub. It still has that lovely welcoming atmosphere and has been modernised without losing the character of the pub. I had a lovely evening.

Made welcome arrived before 12:00 and left after 14:40 Made welcome by the staff Excellent service Food prices were a bit high for the amount of food on the plate so not thought good value for the price BUT a little bit more mashed potatoes with the pie would have made them very good value. My group will be booking again later in the year for a return visit. Ian

Met my old mates some i hadn't seen for 40 years.we all lived in seacroft as kids grew up together.we used to go in the fellmonger.wev'e made a chat group up called the felly mob 😚😉 there was 9 of us

The food, the atmosphere were fab. The staff were terrific, old school customer service, I’m a retired hotel manager and I was impressed. No improvement necessary. See you next time
