The Saucy Sausage in Croydon

While visiting we came across this amazing place. Nice interior well managed. Good taste with friendly staff. If you’re around the corner and looking for something good and economical I recommend the saucy sausage. They have variety of food available. Smoothie was great

The food here is lovely and the staff also are just as lovely. The only thing I can say which is slightly negative but is not is that it's a very small place and if busy cam be kinda cramped. Otherwise if you like a breakfast then defo a cafe that's needs to be tried at least once

I dare you to try the sausage and fried onion sandwich on crusty white bread with butter. I don't have sauce on it, but it's your choice. A proper cup of tea in a mug and great service. This is a gem of a place if you're ever in Addiscombe. The main meals are great and value for money. The staff are friendly and nice atmosphere.

Food was served hot, tasty and service was great. I ordered a quarter pounder and a coke and coke came in about 1min and burger took slightly less than 10mins. The staff here are lovely. There is decoration and music making the atmosphere feel fun, it is also quiet making it a nice place to eat.

Absolutely lovely little cafe! After a bad experience in the tram stop cafe with the staff (not their food) my family and I decided to walk down to Saucy Sausage where as always they didn't disappoint! The young male waiter (dark hair) went above and beyond to get some extra treats for my daughters hot chocolate from the shops (cream and Marshmallows) she was so happy 😊 We love it here and it's our go to Addiscombe cafe for English breakfast 😀

Our favourite place to eat in Addiscombe. We've been coming here for a while and every single time we've been very happy with the food (generous portions) and service, very friendly. Here's a picture of the Spanish omelette.

Nice and friendly staff good service and great food

Lentil soup was far too spicy, impossible to eat, I had to return it. Jacket potato with chicken filling on the top wasn't tasty and salad with it was so basic, tiny portion, and made from the cheapest ever type of tomato. Coffee was just ok. I will not come back.

Exactly what you want out of a cafe! We order five breakfasts all slightly different, they were perfect, very tasty, speedy and served with a smile - just remember cash only!

Ordered a breakfast with fried tomato, gave me uncooked chopped tomatoes instead. I asked for it to be changed for the fried tomatoes as requested. When paying they charged me for both the fried tomatoes and uncooked tomatoes that I didn't ask for. You shouldn't charge customers for your mistakes!

Very expensive for a couple of breakfasts with a few drinks to be honest. But the fried breakfast was nice...not swimming in oil and a decent portion.

You can make cheap food look good but you can't make it taste good. Total rip off yous to be a good cafe and when told truth thay did not like it

A hidden gem in Addiscombe, the place is clean, well presented and staff are so friendly. They really do anything to cater for your needs. Food always consistently good and great value. Never a bad meal here and guaranteed value.

Went there last week for an English breakfast. Lovely cafe, friendly staff and decent food for the cost. Only gripe is that it’s cash only which we weren’t aware of until we saw a small sign by the cash till when paying.

Just went for a coffee, nice and clean and the toilets were also nice and clean. Staff were friendly

This cafe has been falsley advertised as Dog friendly, it isnt , dogs arent allowed in , only outside . This is not dog friendly

Everyone I know loves saucy sausage, but I hate the way they make omelettes. They make the egg into an omelette and then add the fillings after. So I received a flat fried egg with bacon and cheese sandwiched inside like a taco. That's not an omelette. Paninis are good though bit stingy on the cheese though.

Great food with some decent prices. Staff are usually really helpful and there’s a great feeling of community that binds the place. I would give this 5 stars but these guys always seem to refuse a card machine. It’s 2021, I think this is something you can manage guys!!

Food is delicious, staff are friendly can be long waiting time during busy periods, worth the wait as food is always fresh.

Food was nice, customer service not too great as she couldn't understand me on the phone properly. Also the tea took me straight back to the jail house, wouldn't recommend the tea.

Great food, amazing staff. The only reason 4 stars is they have the Mastercard symbol on the door but do not accept card - not a problem because there is a cash point by the door. Just bear in mind if visiting... If in the area, I'll be back!

This is a wonderful local cafe. The owner is amenable. Staff are chatty and want to get to know their customers. Quite a lovely friendly atmosphere all round. I have been going to this cafe for years and in this time have met some lovely locals and the families and friends. Great place to see regulars each week. I must for all. Extremely welcoming. Staff know the names of their regulars and what they usually order. A very pleasant place indeed. Glad to have found this diamond.!!!

I've been going to saucy sausage for about a year now and they always get it right. Great breakfast always comes hot and they don't make you wait a year for it. A simple full English which is done well every time. And the staff are always friendly.

It was like a clip from trainspotting, the one when he wanted the toilet! With only seconds to spare I stumbled into the place "toilet toilet" cor blimey that could have been messy. I bought a take away tea and thanked him. I later went in for egg and chips, delightful. The Sausage is not only the saucy thing in here. Scenery is beautiful. Thanks.

The food quality was about what I expected from the outside - not great, too greasy for me to finish my whole breakfast. But the prices were pretty extreme in my opinion. Cost me about £9 to get an English breakfast with extra hash browns that was mostly grease and a banana milskahe that was banana Nesquik with a scoop of ice cream in it. Also a staff member's young child kept running around yelling. Wasn't impressed, won't be coming back.

I often visit this Cafe, the staff are friendly, the food has always been good and it's a fair price.
