Our car club have just had our Xmas meal ( We know it's January but always find more relaxed at this time of year). We had the sunday menu, this was very good. Good plentiful and service was very good. We had the back room which accommodated our AGM, raffle and prize giving. Would like to thank all the staff for an enjoyable afternoon. This place is well worth a visit for Sunday lunch. 2 courses £12, 3 courses £15.

Went with a friend for afternoon tea today. A huge plateful of fresh sandwiches with bread type and filling choices, selection of savouries, crisps, scone with jam and cream, brownie, carrot cake, lemon posset and shortbread biscuits. We were defeated but were supplied with take away boxes. Fabulous, friendly service. And only £15 per person! Amazing value. Definitely recommended.

We were looked after from the moment we stepped in. Although the lady was busy, she spoke to us every time she passed us, assuring us that she would be with us very soon - and she was. She never stopped, but yet served us and everyone else promptly. When it was quiet later, she stopped to chat a bit which was lovely. The food was magnificent. It was absolutely piping hot and obviously very freshly cooked. The chips were the best traditional ones I can remember. The peppered chicken was perfectly cooked and the homemade sauce was superb. My husband's gammon, egg and chips included pineapple and onion rings and was excellent. The hearty portions would have delighted our foody sons but the last few chips defeated me and neither of us could manage any more. The choice of drinks was perfect for us. I loved the Aspall's cider - really fresh and appley. All in all, a delightful evening. Thank you.

After booking for last Saturday, we pulled up to find that the owner was waiting for us. Unfortunately they had just closed with a gas leak - given a voucher for lunch the next day. When we called to check everything was OK she knew exactly who we were - excellent Sunday lunch followed - they don't like people going away hungry.......

We came here as a party of 7 for Sunday lunch and were well looked after from the moment we walked in. The young waitress with the cool green hair and blonde hostess were so attentive and made sure we couldn't want for anything... Even the dog was spoilt with treats and water. The two course Sunday roast for £12 did not disappoint, delicious whitebait and pate then a generous portion of turkey with all the trimmings. We particularly enjoyed the Stilton brocolli cheese! Thank you to all staff involved and we would not hesitate to return if we're in the area again!

Been here a couple of times recently and it's still one of our favourites. The great thing is we can walk here - takes about an hour - and then bus it home. Kat and Myron still make you feel very welcome, the food is great value and we (well me) really appreciate the range of pies they offer. Only a short drive out of Lynn and well worth the effort.

We stop for lunch on Friday and sat in the beer garden. Ordered our food think Ham Egg and Chips. Think locally sourced ham but alas no just plastic ham from a supermarket. Such a disappointment as most places we have been in Norfolk use home produce from sandwiches , ham salads or ham egg and chips. We liked the general feel of the place but that really let it down.

The pub we'd aimed for for lunch was closed so it was a pleasure to default here. What a change the new owners have made, Myron and Kat have turned this into a first class pub from what used to be dive. We travelled 4.5 hours to a nearby funeral so stopped here for a quick bite to eat beforehand. There wasn't a big menu and it wasn't expensive so we weren't expecting anything amazing but the food was absolutely delicious! Just ham, eggs and chips but no 'bought in, heated up' type meal, just a proper home-cooked one as if it had come from my own kitchen! My husband also ordered a portion of whitebait as a starter and it was huge! Bruce and Bethan were both lovely people who made us feel very welcome. Thank you very much - this place is definitely recommended! ☺ A pot of tea, a filter coffee, a pint of lime and soda, a hot chocolate, two portions of ham, eggs and chips and a large portion of whitebait - less than £23!!!

Visited this with a group. The pub appeared nicely set out and meals are taken in the main seating area. Dishes that we ordered were typical pub meals. It was a nice touch that the plates were hot when the food arrived. Delicious food. The poplar choice of our group was the chicken pie followed closely by the lasagna dish. The pub was quiet during our luncheon, with no other diners. Prices were reasonable with our group settling for two courses at a set cost. Would certainly use this place again.

My wife and I visited this pub for Sunday lunch because of all the superb reviews on this site. All I can say is people must be very easily pleased. The beef was tough and "rubbery", the roast potatoes were tiny bits of chopped up potato, the vegetables were rather tasteless apart from the sickly sweet pickled cabbage that tainted everything else. The only good thing on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding. The desserts were very good, but then if you buy them all in and don't make your own you can't really go wrong. The reason I have given it two stars is because the staff were very friendly and the pub was clean. We won't be going there again!

Disappointed that there was only 2 people to serve 60 guests a 3 course meal. Even more surprised to learn these 2 staff were also manning the bar. Starter of prawn cocktail was adequate but uninspiring. Main turkey and all the trimmings took the 2 staff members 20 minutes to bring out. When it arrived it was very over cooked and not a generous portion. The dessert of chocolate cheesecake was the best part but not difficult to serve a frozen dessert. The bar closed every time we were being served as the 2 bar staff were also the waiters. The front door was locked to prevent customers entering as there was no one to serve drinks. Pretty poor. The disco was excellent and by far the highlight of the evening. Hope this was a one off staff wise as when we came last Christmas I couldn't fault it

The Sandboy is only a short distance from the local crem, so picks up a lot of mourning trade. This guarantee of custom (there are a lot of cremations here) means they don't really have to try hard when it comes to food. I saw little that hadn't come out of a cash & carry wrapped in plastic. The beer was ok, the loos were clean, the staff are very obliging, but the food just wasn't inspiring. Visited, after some time, for Sunday lunch today. Lots of cars in the car park... Good sign! It's looking fabulous inside. Very welcoming ladies on the bar. We pondered over the menu. If I'm perfectly honest I wasn't expecting quality for the price - two courses for £10. Three for £13 (I think). We skipped the inviting starters and ordered 3 roast beef. The meals arrived... A good portion of perfectly cooked beef topside, Yorkshire pud, little roast potatoes, leeks in sauce, peas, fresh carrots, red cabbage and gravy. It was completely delicious. The waitresses were courteous, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Two home made apple and rhubarb crumbles with custard and a bowl of ice cream later we were all very impressed indeed. My friend had chicken goujons, which were very succulent with a hint of chilli, not too over powering. For main I had Liver and Bacon, which came with creamy mash and green veg. Extremely tasty, the gravy was outstanding. My friend had a burger, huge burger, with a very generous portion of chips and a side salad, loads of food, both plates with very generous portions. Pudding was outstanding, syrup sponge and custard and white brownie and icecream. White brownie, a lovely twist from the traditional chocolate brownie.

I needed a venue for my stroke club, level access, disabled toilets etc We required wheelchair access around tables and an understanding chef. Thank you Sandboy for an excellent venue, great food and staff could not be more helpful. Everyone now looks forward to our monthly meetings.

We held a wake at the Sandboy. The function room was great for the wake, set away from the main bar and with it's own small bar. The buffet was very reasonably priced and the staff very friendly and helpful. Being just up the road from King's Lynn crem is in a ideal position.

I have used the Sandboy for many years and seen quite a few come and go. I am please to see that the current publicans are giving it a good go. The pub looks better than I have seen it for many years and the food is back to a standard that it should be. The menu is small but this is no reflection on the size of the meal wow I had the gammon steak it was a good plateful and cooked perfectly. It's not fine dinning but I'd take this pubs grub over that any day. On the whole a good meal. I think with a few tweaks could be the place to be. I hope they can keep this up when the trade gets busier as I'm sure it will.

Place was very quiet. Chap behind the bar was very friendly. Good pint of beer. The food we all had was excellent and we'll priced overall a very enjoyable meal

We had the wake here for our Father here on the 2nd November , we initially called in for lunch which was very nice and to look at the venue as we had heard it was close to Kings Lynn Crematorium, I spoke to David and explained exactly what I wanted in the way of food and what quality I was expecting and he absolutely did a superb job and did exactly what I asked for , all staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble , there were 90 people at this wake and we never ran out of food , extremely well organised. Thankyou once again David

It’s lovely inside, so much to look at and things for sale too. I ordered a sausage egg and bacon roll. It was quite big! It came on a warm plate and the meat was from priors butchers. The teapots and crockery were vintage, loved them. I saw they catered well for gluten free and vegetarian options too. The cafe is dog friendly so as a dog lover, sitting by the door was fun to greet them as they came in. Can’t fault the food, parking, and all the lovely things to look at. I think it could be made more cosy by maybe putting up small partitions/ trellis in some areas maybe. They had a large selection of amazing cakes too!

Excellent dog friendly cafe. Friendly staff, good selection of reasonably priced food, including vegetarian and vegan options. Our dog loved the home baked dog biscuits.

Would avoid unless you want burgers it was terrible food the pub was nearly empty and the menu was mostly burgers a few chicken and rice dishes not what I was expecting I thought when I booked the table it was street food for takeaway not for the restaurant I thought they had a different menu would not come here again

I visited this cafe today for the first time. The staff were very friendly. There was plenty of choices for a lunchtime menu and also reasonably priced for Burnham Market. The drinks we ordered came out fairly swiftly and the food not long behind.Nicely presented and tasty. Its obviously very popular and we will definitely return again soon
