Great friendly little pub with some good live music on at times, it's called the fish net tavern though 🤣

The seating and drinks were good and lots of drink options customer service amazing they gave our free candy and staff are nice but the atmosphere isn’t so good there is random music playing that doesn’t go with the atmosphere that the interior creates

First time in since taken over.. Nothing much changed but had a lovely couple of pints with Bitter on offer!! Dog friendly, which is always a bonus. Would recommend if passing the area. They also offer the bub for private events with catering/buffet style. The pub itself no longer does food but on the day noticed they offered hand baked sausage rolls.. No photos this time unfortunately

Just reopened under its new name, formerly Staith House/The Dolphin, still a good bar whatever the name. New management, new bar staff so it'll take a couple of days to settle in. It had literally just opened when we were in but the manager and staff excellent. No meals as yet.

Ordered gluten free fish and chips expecting fish and chips. I got grilled fish with new potatoes and a spoon full of garden peas. Dissapointing, plain, I make better at home, not worth the money. Shouldn't be on the menu as fish and chips when that's not what it is.

If it wasn't for the actual setting this place would get no stars. Stopped outside for a pint with my mate and waited 15 minutes for a lager and cider. Two visits inside to check the order and have to go inside to pay. 2 Nd round was the same but nearly 25 minutes to pour two pints. Noticed other tables getting wrong orders and no orders too. It was not busy either and 3 bar staff on plus food waiting staff. It must be horrendous when the inside opens up for business. Certainly no recommendations from us.

Why is it that you like other bar/restaurants have to have an app to order food you seem to forget that the older generation don't have the technical knowledge to do this or the mobile phone that do this I'm lucky I can do this and I'm a pensioner . this will drive a lot of customers away or is this what you are trying to do . as covid is lifting why not make it easier for everyone

Popped down to see if you were open on Monday, you weren't. I left the car unattended for 5 mins to see what days you are open and what do you know, you lot got me a parking fine. Careful who you get fines around here, when the Fish Quay opens for drinks again we will remember who to do business with and it isn't you. Disgusting practice.

I ate for the first time with three family members visiting from London.Downside was the incredibly wet table we were led too. It obviously had been wiped with a very wet cloth- which also left the table pretty smelly. I did wipe it down with my own paper tissues. However, Fish and chips were up there with best I have ever eaten .So shall be back for sure . We all had a lovely meal ! Pity about table !

Great food, but the parking sting was abit much, if there was mechines to put the reg in I hadn't noticed, I was in your facility 5/9/20 with my granny and parked in th disabled bay, I wish I had been alerted to it from the staff upon entry! We paid on our card so I will be able to prove I was in your pub! It would be great to hear back from yourselves at some point this week to see if we can resolve this. Other than that the fish and chip were delightful 😁

Popped in with my husband yesterday on the off chance we could get a table and we just timed it right. I’ve been wanting to eat here for a while and was absolutely not disappointed in any way. The atmosphere was amazing - very relaxed and laid back - which is just what is needed for a weekend. The music was perfect for me and added to my enjoyment - who doesn’t love Bod Dylan?! Staff were very friendly, and attentive but left you to enjoy your food without checking whether you are enjoying every two minutes. The food was so very good! This was genuinely the best meal I have had in a long time. My husband and I both had smoked haddock fish cakes to start, fish pie for me and fish and chips for my husband. Honestly - both of us we just blown away by the quality, portion size and beautiful food. We didn’t want the meal to end so took a look at the puds - sticky toffee pudding for my husband and salted caramel mousse for me. Both were the best we’ve every had! This place is unbelievable value for money. Atmosphere and food is just perfect for me - I want to go out and relax, not be rushed through my meal. I will most certainly be back and will recommend to all my friends in the meantime!

Didn't stay for food as unfortunately I'm not a big fan of seafood and the vast majority is that, but being on the fish quay it's what people want. Spoke to a few diners who said the food was out of this world and they have never had a bad experience. Beautiful interior and staff were lovely. Also dogs were allowed in one section which was nice to see.

Enjoyed a three course lunch at this excellent gastropub today. Laid back in environment but serious in giving you great food. If it is on the menu, get the Jerusalem Artichoke starter. It sits underneath a carefully selected orchestration of Pak choi, grapes and truffle honey. It was stunning. The Roast Peterhead cod was buttery, silky and melted the mouth. These guys know how to cook.

Fabulous food. Great service. Five of us visited for supper. Smoked salmon and scotch eggs for starters. Absolutely delicious. Fish and chips, cod, new pots and brown shrimp sauce and fish pie all devoured in minutes. And we couldn't decide on desert so ordered three then shared - each one was so scrumptious. Been wanting to go here for quite a while now, so booked and went for our Valantines night out. Unfortunately we were both very disappointed. The staff were really nice and friendly but the service and food weren't. Starters took a while to bring out then had one missing (oysters which we had to wait 10 more mins for) have to say they were very nice though. Rump stake for main. This took over 40 mins to arrive and although we made a point of asking for it rare it came pretty much well done. We were going to send back but had waited that long my partner just ate it (left quite a bit) it came with chips that looked like scraps that had been tipped out of the bottom of the tray and were hard. The empty drinks glasses were left on the table (not much room on them anyway) along with the finger wash bowls from the starters. All in all not great at all and the food certainly doesn't look like the pics.
