This place not only sell good food but also the men working here are very kind. I had a weirdo following me all day and the boys here were really kind to me. I am still waiting for my food but one of the guys here will walk me to my car once my food is ready. I feel safe. Men are amazing and men can really help woman. I am grateful I came to this place. They have lovely food and also they are very kind. I am going to report this weirdo to the police that was following me. Thank you to charcoal grilll men working here . Much much gratitude

Brilliant food and fast friendly delivery!

Had Lamb Shish kebab this year and last when visiting family on the island, both times very delicious (and a good portion too), plus welcoming staff at the counter. I can also recommend the garlic mayo sauce!

This is by far the BEST Takeaway on the Island. The Pizza is 10/10 (chefs kiss😘👌🏻) the chips melt in your mouth (especially the cheesy ones) Burger and Kebabs are to die for too. All delivered with a Friendly Service. Thank you

Ordered chicken shish and chips. Usually you don't get so much chicken. There was so much chicken I couldn't believe. Really big portion size.

Show lack of care when talking to customers, i went to make an order and halfway through saying it i got told to shhh whilst he prepares the food and im not even done ordering Then when i was finished the customer behind me started to order and the guy behind the counter working told him to wait as hes only got 2 hands Food is fine but the employees are all so disrespectful

Ordered online... Paid £35... Got a email to say my order had been rejected and no refund issued, not even a call or email. Had to dispute through my bank. I emailed within 10mins of it happening. Its been near two weeks now and no reply. Thankfully my bank issue refunds easily when dealing with scam business

I stopped having pizza from Domino's because they were always far too salty. Tried Charcoal Grill for a home delivered pizza one rainy February evening and how good it was! It was not salty at all, and was very tasty. Delivery was very punctual; it came within half an hour of ordering. Well done Charcoal Grill! I will definitely use you again, perhaps next time trying a kebab. Charcoal Grill run a special offer in the week, offering a large pizza and 3 toppings for less than £10.00. I think this is very good value for money.

It's about as average as you can get tbh but the portion size!? Blimey! £10.90 for a small box of donner meat and chips and because of the shape of the box, it's mostly chips! Absolutely NOT worth nearly 11 quid and i was told "we only do one size" so i didn't even have a choice in the matter. The food itself is tasty, but absolutely won't be ordering from here again with that price to size ratio.

Halal food on the island is difficult to find. This is a place you can be confident serves halal food and Musa puts love into his cooking as the food tastes great!

Worst kebab ever had cold and inedible. Owner said he had a staffing issue - well if he’s sending out half cooked chicken that says what he thinks about hygiene and quality control.

We tried this place as opposed to the usual one we use, the actual kebab was ok but whilst there my wife purchased an Onion Bhaji as i have a penchant for them. What a surprise awaited us when we unwrapped it, a large immolated crispy ball which looked like it had been napalmed by an American fighter bomber, we discussed how we could use it and i thought of offering it to the army as a thermite hand grenade whilst my wife suggested it could be used as a wheel chock on a 40 ton truck on a steep hill. We decided to return it to to them the next day which was a Sunday, the joint was closed but not to be bested my wife tried to push it thru the letter box but with considerable forethought they made the letterbox to small for the cannonball like Bhaji which was too solid to break, it was a kryptonite bhaji, i gave it to the navy to use as an anchor on their new aircraft carrier.

Charcoal grill has done very good food all the years I can remember. However the prices have rocketed over the last few years. Granted, prices have gone up everywhere but not this much. This used to be a far cheaper, better option Domino's pizza......now Domino's is way cheaper.

An absolutely gorgeous kebab, the meat has been blessed with a beautiful garlic mayo. This chicken shish wrap was the most enjoyable meal I have eaten in a long time. The young chap, I think his name is Muz, is a very polite and hard working guy. Everything about this was perfect. Perfect service

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Charcoal Grill in Ryde, Isle of Wight, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped into this kebab shop, I knew I was in for a treat. I decided to try their signature mix kebab grill and it was a true masterpiece. The meat, cooked to perfection on the charcoal grill, was tender and bursting with flavor. The accompanying fresh salad and vibrant sauces complemented the meat grill perfectly, creating a harmonious symphony of tastes.The staff was friendly and price was reasonable compared to the area. Overall, my experience at Charcoal Grill was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommended

If you are going to spend your hard earned money on a takeaway, you won’t be disappointed. Excellent value for money and the food is excellent too. I’d highly recommend and hope they stay in business during this difficult time. Wishing them all the best. We’ll be ordering again no doubt. Ordered the ryde special pizza and coleslaw also a large doner. My other fave is mixed doner and chips.

My boyfriends kebab had coleslaw instead of cabbage, and found parts of someone’s blue plaster on the meat! I had a doner wrap so I haven’t a clue what I’ve eaten! We gave our order to a man serving who didn’t have a clue what we said so passed us onto some English man. Have come here for the weekend, thought we would try it after a few drinks. Won’t be returning.

Ordered a large Doner with burger & fries , kebab was one of the best I've had for a long time, salad was fresh & doner meat as succulent as doner meat can be, will definitely visit next time I'm back on the Island..

We have just had a Ryde Special and a Hot & Hot. Absolutely gorgeous. We were told the delivery would be 45 minutes, but they arrived after around 20 minutes. Great service.

Staffs were rude and disrespectful , asked if they serve Halal meat and they just laughed at me. Lamb meat wasn’t fresh and it was left over from last night. I hope food standard agency check the meat they sell. Never again from that shop.

Paid nearly 20 quid for 2 chicken burger and chips 😞 had to wait nearly the full hour for delivery and the drink, which I had to order to make the minimum delivery, was ice cold and put on top of the hot food. The chips were tepid at most and quite frankly the burger wasn't great. Won't be ordering again that's for sure.

Dead was good but seem to take the opportunity to over charge you just like kebab and shame to think I used to tip them they charge way over today that I didnt have change to tip them lol disgusting really taking advantage of this crisis.

Bought two meals a shish kebab with chips and a lamb kofta. Both were tasteless tough and inedible. The worst kebabs we have eaten anyway. Needless to say they ended up in the bin.

Well established in Ryde, had a takeaway and found it to be really disappointing, dry and overcooked , didn’t finish it and ended up in the bin. Not bothered with this shop since have heard other reports with similar observations; I think they.ve let there standards slip and have become complacent, shame as this was my preference for the last few years, but i now go else where in Ryde

I’ve been eating at Charcol Grill for years and the food has always been good. The customer service is taking a hit though and prices are going up. They don’t take card and want to charge you £1.50 for the privilege of ordering on the website. Simple things like putting salad separate to your kebab (instead of thrown all over) and having sauce separate (again rather than thrown all over) warrant extra charges. And it just feels like whenever you order from there it’s like they are you doing you a favour Seems really pedantic but it’s sad to see a once really friendly place become really nit picky and a but expensive.

Thier food is very tasty, its one of those take aways you just cant replicate at home. I do find i have to be very careful with my order to make sure they get it right. And word of advice, know your Chicken donor from your Chicken shish 😁

I gave 3 stars before because food was good but quite expensive, as the price has increased almost 20% I give 2 stars because about £5 for pita bread and chips is totally unreasonable, prices are similar in London

I’ve ordered from this place multiple of times, i keep giving it chances but i’m always disappointed, the portion sizes of their doner wrap is very reasonable and packed full which is a positive and their delivery is also super quick, however the meat is sour and leaves a weird sensation in my mouth, the chips are super dry and rock solid, would only order again if my life depended on it...

We was working in seaview, but staying in St.Helens. was recommended this place by a local guy on our building site. Went their 3 times in our 2 week stay. The kebabs are fantastic. Especially the lamb shish and mixed doner. Highly recommended.

ordered 3 mixed donners with cheesy chips, 1 without salad, the two with salad was only what i can describe as salad, chips, with a couple of bits of meat chopped into tiny bits thrown under the mass amount of onion, never again, it was a joke for the money we paid, could have got a decent meal for the £30.30 we paid.

absolutely superb! fresh moist and juicy doner meat. hot crispy chips that were obviously fresh cooked and the salad was very fresh, not that limp stuff some serve. it was so good i ate far more than i should have done. will definitely be going back for more

had a large doner and chips from this place...... excellent! the met was fresh and juicy, not dried out kept warm like some places serve. chips were very hot and crispy even though it was a home delivery. a lot of kebab have that tired salad...this was fresh and crisp as it should be. value for money was good and it shouldn't just be measured against what you pay , its about price/quality/enjoyment and this scored on all fronts....... it was so good i couldn't stop eating!

After over an hours weight, half the order was missing . Their mega kebab at £19 isn’t worth it. After complaining I got a refund of 2.40 for the missing extras - and I was told sorry. £21 order wasn’t worth the wait or the food.

These guys are like, the OG of Ryde Kebabs. Been using them for probably 15 years, and have always been happy with not only the quality of the food, but the friendliness of staff. Bonus points for the boss man doing deliveries himself when its busy/they are short. Legends.

I had the most amazing pizza. Cooked just right, plenty of toppings and cheese. Definitely better than domino's. Will never get my pizza from anywhere else.

Having debated following the previous reviews, i am so glad we decided to give the Charcoal Grill a chance. Both Pizzas were full of toppings and loaded with cheese...... Tasty too and 30 min delivery time Will be using again at the weekend

So we was on holiday for the weekend and had such a busy day to the point we couldn’t be bothered to go out for a meal but instead decided to order from this “takeaway” well I wouldn’t call it that. We was a 17 minute drive from the place so I called to ask if they delivered to us and they said yes for an extra £5. Which was fair enough. Anyways an HOUR later the food arrived and I met the guy at the front gate. He rushed to give it to us and drove off. We got back to the room and opened our “dinner” WE WAS STARVING!!! Instead of opening up a nice dinner it was awful. Two pizzas were burnt to death and was not edible, the garlic bread, also burnt but rock hard nearly pulled our teeth out and the kebab was cold and tasteless. We phoned up the shop 20 mins after they dropped it off and they said “sorry our manager isn’t here he will call you back” 15 minutes later we had a rude phone call from the manager who was shouting abuse at us telling us we are in the wrong and this is how he makes his food and if we don’t like it don’t order from them... well even if we went back to the Isle of Wight we deffo wouldn’t order from them again. He was rude and shouting and swearing at us down the phone and told us HE WOULD NEVER GIVE A REFUND. We was still polite and this order came to £65 so we felt we was due a refund for the food that got put straight in the bin. They told us the reason it was burnt and cold was because we was far away and he doesn’t usually deliver there, our reply was if you don’t deliver here you shouldn’t have accepted my order but anything for income I guess. We was very disappointed this place should get shut down. If we had eaten any of the hard food we would have been in the dentist paying for things once again! HONESTLY NEVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!😡😡😡😡

Ordered a large doner kebab was more like a small feel like I have been ripped off considering it was nearly £8. Will be my first and last visit.... sorry I will not be visiting again I will be trying another kebab shop next time.

Possibly the smallest "large" doner I have ever seen. Only got 3 stars because the 8 hot wings I had wre pretty epic, otherwise it would be a 2.

Food is goood but I just paid £13 for a "mega kabab" to share and got as much meat as a regular kabab.

Absolutely disgusting an hour wait turned up cold I ordered a large kebab it was the same size as a small which my partner ordered wasn't no way near 20 pound with a tip for the order will never order again ryde kebab house all the way

It was quite a while when last time ordered so we decided to have a go and .....Big disappointment. Half empty box for about £8 each box (large portions). I think it's ripped off and no chance to order again but I must admit it's quite tasty.

We ordered online last night and told 1 hour 20 mins for delivery, which we expected! It arrived after 40 mins, piping hot chips, moist chicken shish and loads of salad! The nicest kebab we’ve ever had from anywhere!

I know in these times at the moment things hard and testing , but I thought a takeaway would be a bit of a luxury, how wrong was I , I ordered a small Donner kebab a donner wrap ,and onion rings, it was awful the meat was cold and tasteless and the salad was brown and old , the chilli sauce tasted just like a bit of a spicy tomato sauce and the garlic sauce was mayo with a hint of garlic , the onion rings just tasted of batter will never be going back there again, so disappointed

Normally regular customers when we want kebabs and was excited to see that they do home delivery. However when we got are food the one kebab we received had no lamb doner when it was meant to be a mixed, so we phoned up to get this amended but the customer service was so poor we just had to forget about in pure anger. Completely disappointed at how bad the service was expect the delivery driver.

The most disgusting chicken kabab I have ever had. Half of it was chewy fat. That staff where very unwelcomeing and didn’t seam to want to do there job. I will never go back there!!
