6 Nov '24 - My response to the managers reply! What a ridiculous thing to write regarding the passes! "Sorry you chose to accumulate them not use them" wholly unprofessional as it was obviously written to rile me! Tells me the kind of person you are, it all makes sense now on why the place has gone downhill! You gave just weeks notice to use the passes oh and you shut the venue for two of those weeks, it wasn't nearly enough notice, you should have given a lot more time, you give no thought to locals and are mainly focused on hotel visitors it seems, many people in the local area are unhappy with the changes. Warner has taken over the hotel and they have now made it Adult only, they shut the hotel for two weeks too and have ceased the accumulated guest passes people have collected over time! With only a short time to use them! They took away the coffee machines that provided Latte, Cappuccino, you now can only get standard coffee and tea, considering the membership fee this is totally unacceptable and has ruined our experience.

A former family run hotel, recently taken over by Warner Leisure. Most of the staff were employees of the former owners and were very friendly and helpful. Lovely location on the Thames. Excellent walks along the toe path.

As Warner regulars we popped in for a look around must say the outside is a bit dated and there is building work going on but the autotorium and bar area looks absolutely stunning as does the brasserie 32 and the reception area, when finished will be amazing well done Warner's

Services charges, although discretionary are added to your bill for every meal and drink. This is not acceptable, we pay enough for our break without subsidising staff wages. We are regular users of Warners and have never come across this before in your other sites throughout the country…..is this now going to become standard practice ??. .we also dislike not having our meals brought to the table in the Market Kitchen. Warner dining is becoming more like a Staff Canteen. Don’t get me started on the ridiculous price of plonk being served !!

It's a shame it's been taken over by Warner so now anyone like us who live locally & have been going there for years cannot now use the restaurants & can only use the lounge until 6pm when at that time we will be asked to leave the hotel. Well won't even bother going there anymore if that's how they're going to treat us locals. Shame on Warner for ruining this hotel. I even spent the first night of my honeymoon here & it's locals like us that used to recommend this hotel to any visiting family or friends, not anymore though.

If this is the new model for Warner Hotels we shall not be returning, even though we are Platinum Members. Extra charges every step of the way, peppermint tea bags free in your room £4.50 in the dining room absolutely outrageous So much staff, but none of them have a clue, not like the other hotels Plus it's still a building site

Tell the BDM lot to stop flooding the site just because they want to save money. 2 weeks now going home with muddy boots because of it. Walk on the grass? They flood that as well.

We contacted The Runnymede Hotel with a special request for our wedding day on the 24th August. We asked if we could rent one of their lovely river boats to take us from Lammas Park, spend around 30 minutes along the Thames before dropping us off at our Wedding venue, The Swan Hotel. The Runnymede team we more than onboard with providing us with this bespoke package, particularly Anakarina who helped us organise this from the start and make it perfectly personalised. Paul our skipper was great and friendly, we supplied some materials to decorate the boat which Paul placed amazingly. Thank you all for adding a very special part, to our very special day!

So firstly, despite the tiny flaws, I will ALWAYS recommend this hotel to anyone. It was my first time there and I booked it for my wife's birthday. We were beautifully welcomed and prior to our visit, they had contacted me and explained all I had to know and expect including the restaurant business. Got to my room and both my wife and I couldn't stop singing their praises. My wife had a birthday car from them. It was soooo lovely. Tiny details matter. As for the view, despite the works that was going on which they had explained prior to our arrival, it was fantastic. The morning walks was simply beautiful and i went on one of the steam boat trips and experienced history. I had no issues with the pool and my wife lived in the steam room. She loved it. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic and the service there.....wow. Sooo friendly. Thanks guys. Few negatives. I had a hum in my room which on the first day which i think came from the airconditioner which woke me up. It wasn't there the second day and I.slept like a baby. The bathroom was SEMI blocked and I had to have a quick shower before it flooded....lol. Still showered though. The worst experience was when we went to the bar and wanted to order some wine. We ordered the different wines from the list they gave us and none were in stock and after reordering the 3rd one, the young man serving us didn't even come back to us to tell us. So we walked out. That wasn't nice. This said, and I'm only sharing so they fix these tiny flaws, I will be BOOKING this spa hotel again. It was Still an amazing experience. My wife loved it even more than I. So get booking people and enjoy! You won't regret it.

Very convenient location, close to Heathrow, and great value for money. The restaurant serves exceptionally delicious food at a reasonable price— the best meal we had during our 4 weeks of traveling across the UK

Easy check in, no problems, from 2pm which is very reasonable. I asked if late check out would be available, but was informed I would need to ask in the morning, that is a bit of an inconvenience if you are planning a long lay in. It would be helpful to know the day before. The lock on my door was not working, a member of staff had this fixed straight away. Room modern in decoration Good selection of different lighting in room and bathroom. Air conditioning which can be adjusted. Blackout curtains, fridge. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Good quality of towels, and robes in room, very thick. Monsoon and standard shower in one. Overall a very nice room, VERY clean Spa, also very clean. Key code lockers. Small Sauna and plunge pool within changing room. Main swimming pool and jacuzzi. Infared room and steam room. A fair amount of loungers and chairs around the pool, it was fairly busy on my visit at 4pm on a Saturday, but I managed to find a lounger Overall a really good first experience of this hotel. Would be even better if they offered room service, and if you were able to pay to use the spa facilities after check out

Overall a lovely hotel. Spa is great and the gym too. Breakfast really good and varied and very fresh! We didn't let the refurb put us off booking which we're glad of as it doesn't seem to affect much other than visible building bits etc. Only thing we would say is that some areas need a bit of attention- stairwells and some aspects of the rooms etc but hopefully the refurb will cover this. Would definitely book again!

The team at the Runnymede are simply outstanding ! It was old school hospitality at its finest, they couldn’t do enough for me and nothing was too much trouble. Gregg, Michelle, Gemma, Steph and of course Chloe (who did my treatments) all make my day and were sooooooo kind !!! I will be back it’s the best massage, facial and mani / pedi I’ve ever had. Even the fellow guests at the Runnymede were so lovely! I’ll be back.

Came for afternoon tea here with friends. Cannot fault the cakes sandwiches and scones, But the tea leaves a lot to be desired! There was only 2 types of black tea on offer as well as herbal infusions. The choices were english breakfast and Earl grey, So we all went with the english breakfast and to our horror 😱 we were served PG tips tea bags! Which came in a rather tatty stainless steel teapot which you would get in your local 'Joe's café' other tables had nice China teapots. The cups and saucers plus the plates were lovely, but as afternoon tea is always a treat it should at least be served with loose leaf tea. On a finishing note the location of the hotel is very nice as is the hotel itself, which is set on the banks of the river and is a five minutes drive away from the train station.

Stayed here for 2 nights and knew that revised work was going on which was not a problem. Whole time lift was out of order so had to carry own bags up stairs. Service poor as staff did not seem to be trained. No phones in rooms so if there was an emergency and you did not have a mobile you would be in trouble. Food selection cut down from before being a warners, desserts were amazing but had to ask for bread to be replenished. Outside pool toilets were shabby with no facility to dry hands and the beds were looking tired. All the sun umbrellas were stored in the toilet!!!! Did have a nice rest but Warners need to train their staff better and also revise their uniforms which were very shabby. Some of the staff seemed unhappy but some were lovely.

sad to give this place one star now because they dont do halal afternoon teas anymore. If mgmt are reading this, please bring back halal options. We loved coming to your hotel before it swapped hands and its a real shame the hotel has decided to change suppliers and move backwards when it comes to welcoming diverse guests. Im happy to change back to 5 stars if the hotel wants to accommodate muslim customers

We have here a couple of times before and remembered it fondly . Currently there is a lot of construction. As its being converted to a Warner hotel. This didn't really bother us but did mean sometimes using different routes round property. Our room was a little tired but clean and functional. The evening buffet was great . Staff were polite if not particularly friendly. Breakfast was ok but staff a little distracted had to ask for coffee top up despite staff member watching mean finish cup while you served neighbour coffee and made comment to them about pot being empty . Coffee wasn't the best. Choices were good but recent stays at Crowne Plaza hotels in Reading and Marlow were both better with staff being friendly at those locations and food choices better. Pool and gym facilities at Runnymede both good . There are both a conventional and infrared saunas .

Rooms are rather cramped, was expecting a nice view but had a view of the car park. However the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was very, very good. The hotel is in a great location next to the Thames and nearby the Magna Carta and Windsor. You get access to the gym, swimming pool and spa which is great, but the facilities are somewhat busy and it seems they also allow access to people who are not staying at the hotel. Unfortunately the tennis courts and outdoor pool are currently off-limits due to construction work. You can directly access the Thames Path from the hotel lobby which is nice for a riverside walk any time you want.

Great location, it is under construction currently so a little detracting at the moment but will shine like a pearl when it's completed. The restaurant is running at 50% capacity as well so it was a little disappointing, these things happen I suppose, we didn't get to book our rooms so not gonna complain. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from locally that are amazing. The room I was in can use some refreshing for sure but everything was modern and clean. Surprisingly the airport is 8 min away but I barely noticed the noise. The Riverwalk is stunning too with the lochs and whatnot.

Decided to try flaming grill in chertsey while visiting the area for work. Firstly 5 star food hygiene rating, holding the bar high as it should be guys. I ordered a small chicken shish kebab, all salad with chilli and garlic mayo. The kebab itself wasn’t my personal preference but that is not to say it was bad because it wasn’t, the chicken was cooked beautifully and had a lovely chargrill taste and marinade. My only real criticism is that my request was not really listed to properly even when writing it down. I asked for lots ( extra ) cabbage and 🌶️ and also lots of garlic mayo and chilli sauce and as you can see from the photo this didn’t happen. People specifically ask for their kebabs in a particular way because it’s what makes it perfect for them and keeps them coming back time after time, something to bear in mind guys. Overall a great kebab shop and nice and clean 👍🏻

I popped in because I used to work there 40 years ago. I had a glass of wine, asked for ladies which turned out to be where the kitchen was when I was cook. The bar person was very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend, looks like they have local regulars still.
