Friendly staff Lovely food I had roast beef which was so tender

Easily the best Guinness in Chertsey. Lovely staff and a nice atmosphere.

Visited the pub with my family this Sunday, the service was fantastic from Emily who looked after us. The roasts were awesome! I had the pork belly which was incredible, perfect cracking! I tried some of my partners beef which was melt in the mouth! We went around 4:30 pm and the pub was fairly quiet, but with roasts that good it shouldn’t be. There was a nice and cosy atmosphere, would recommend for a Sunday visit!

Lovely place, lived in Chertsey for a while now, but it's been my first visit there. Went only for drinks, but the place was great the staff attentive and the food on other tables looked great. Will definitely come back again to try the food and more drinks.

We had a very nice Sunday lunch. Huge yourkshire puddings.

A pub with history, a warm welcome and delicious food. Friendly and helpful staff.

Two of us ordered the share fish platter at £32.00. The platter arrived with items missing and cold fries. Waiting staff were told, apologies were made and we were assured a fresh order would be done. Extremely quickly ‘another’ platter arrived, except it wasn’t ! The fries had been refried as had the fish goujons. We couldn’t put a fork into the fries. We didn’t dare risk trying the prawns. The waitress as first said she had seen the platter redone. When I broke the platter down and told her we had ‘marked’ certain items including the salmon pate, she admitted that it was the original. We returned the entire platter again ( actually the same one recycled) and had to request a refund from a less than congenial Manager.

Hate the idea of eating outside and the whole area being a smokers area ? Why not have smoking outside dining and no smoking outside dining ? Food was excellent. Poor server struggled to bring cocktails without spilling them. Staff members were lovely. Dog friendly front bar was fab.

I like the crown.Unfortunately, the prices they charge are ridiculous..I work in Regent Street and the beer is slightly cheaper.

Beer is always cold and never flat, a big bonus compared to some other local pubs. Prices seem higher than other local establishments. The food is ok, could be much better with a little more care. The menu is limited compared to other pubs too, maybe some new exciting dishes would help this rating.

Kolia, our waiter was EXCELLENT. Very attentive, and welcoming…. Great place for a Sunday Roast. The Staff are BRILLIANT.

The food was good, although the chips went cold very quickly. Maybe one tray of chips could have been bought out and then the other one could have come out when the first tray had been finished. I must add they were very nice chips. Nearly all the food went which was a relief. All that was left was some salad and sandwiches. Everyone agreed that it was a very good buffet. There was staff on hand which was nice. On the whole we were left to do our party in peace which was nice. No one hassled us when it was time to go and sorry but we did stay a bit over our time. Every one agreed that it was a very nice place to all meet up. I think there is a very good possibility that we could come back again at a later date. Thank you.

Beautiful location, the wine could have been colder. Staff not very welcoming or friendly.

It was a Christmas special menu, and mine was potato gnocchi, and it was absolutely rubbish. I had dinners there before, and it was always nice, but this was very disappointing. The place, and the staff is always nice!!

We had a meeting here and found that although the spread was great at the beginning of the day, they weren't very attentive throughout. We had to ask for more water for the tables and there weren't refreshments through the afternoon. Lunch was okay but it seemed like they couldn't handle bringing out all our meals at the same time. The toilets were out of use too as they were doing renovations, but then only one toilet was available and it wasn't clean, we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Overall it suited our needs, but it wasn't up to the standard we expected.

Loved that place. Had visited years before, and now remembered again how nice and delicate it feels. Delicious food, good wine, good crowd. Quality overall.

We had a lovely time, sitting bt the open fire. A lovely meal of vegan burgers and meat burgers. Both delicious. Service was great. Thanks 😊

Comedy night good, drinks a little dear but it is a hotel

Midweek Dinner and drinks with friends - we were approx 18 people. We had a large quiet area for ourselves and service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely come back. Also really handy having free parking at the back!

Service was ok but not over friendly. Food was mediocre but not bad. Atmosphere, well you have to bring that with you, as there is none.

We had our daughters christening reception here in their private function room, the service from the staff from start to finish was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble! The food was was delicious aswell and was the perfect amount for what we needed! Thank you to David, Simon and all the staff at the crown!!

Disappointed that our table of 6 was one of only 3 tables occupied for Sunday roast. Last time we ate here (pre-COVID) all tables were in use. The food was good but there was far too much on the plate for all but one of our party. We know costs are going up but we felt the pricing a bit rich at almost £20 for the cheapest roast option. Is the reason why there were hardly any customers?

The roast was huge and really good. i had the pork belly, and my son had the beef. The waitress was friendly and efficient, but we did have to wait quite a while for our food, but i would definately go back to The Crown for a Sunday roast.

Little expensive for me and bar staff got my order wrong. Hardly any parking.

Held a party here and had a stay at the hotel. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive and accomodating, and everyone had a lovely time! Thank you so much!

Great pub, good selection of beers and a wide variety of food. Was quite quiet when we went, but the pub was clean and comfortable. Wide variety of options on the menu including vegetarian and vegan options.

If you're booking a party there with "food platters" don't bother! Nearly £170 worth of the cheapest, smallest portion platters ever!!!..... Absolutely disgusting!

Popped in for a drink while staying at the hotel, beautiful decor & great drinks selection, didn't know what to have! My partner said his pint of special was up there with one of the best his had! Great team behind the bar too!

The food was very nice ,but a lot of it . Slightly smaller portions.

Went in for a full English breakfast because everything else was shut. Paid 30£ for two plates and tea which is a steep price but it can be understandable. Food turns up cold, one piece of bacon and no toast. So I go to get some toast, because at 30£ you’d think there be toast, was told 3 pieces of toast is 11.85, so 4£ a piece. I sucked it up as we had already gotten our food, but then the toast turned up not properly toasted and freezing cold butter that wouldn’t spread. All in all their breakfast is a total rip off and we will probably never come back again, also wouldn’t not recommend this to anyone who thinks that half toasted bread should not cost 4£. Staff was nice at least. Edit: There presumably where also a dog in the kitchen as we heard a bark and and a dog walking from the kitchen. Edit2: Answer to owner response: I apologise if this review seem malicious but in reality I am just describing my personal experience. We know the places is good for a quick beer as we have been there before but not tried the food. I also don’t mind expensive food if the food lives up to the price. I think the picture speaks a thousand words…

Thought we would try again for Sunday lunch seeing that they had a new landlord thinking nice new menu well was we wrong same old menu gave it a try had the belly pork very disappointed had to ask for steak knives to cut the pork the Yorkshire pudding shattered when we cut it ate as we were hungry ask for ice cream not even a wafer they need to either get a new chief that knows how to cook a nice Sunday lunch ‘O’ & on paying was asked if we would like to leave a TIP what a cheek you tip at your own discretion not to be asked will not be going back

From the website photos you can’t tell how good this place is. But on every level it’s awesome. The highlight are the staff who pip the super comfortable bed and room for excellent resins to stay here

Nice atmosphere, cool drinks. One of the guests urinated against a wall. Fun to watch, kind of… Only nagging: we ordered food and after a while we asked about its whereabouts, and as it seems the waiter had totally forgotten about the event that was taking place, so they were not serving any extra food. Cheers!

Stopped here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We sat outside where it was nice and sunny. Breakfast was excellent and service was equally as good.

1st time visiting this place to meet friends on a friday night..it turned out to be open mic night..great atmosphere and a good crowd..everyone happy..clean with good service...great back outdoor garden.. Would happily visit again
