Early morning flight to Tenerife so was hungry for a breakfast after checking in our luggage. Found a seat and ordered off the app. I had the bacon butty which included 3 rashers of bacon on 2 slices of white bloomer bread at £5.40 washed down with a cappuccino coffee at £2.80 so with it being in an airport it was more expensive than the normal Wetherspoons. You had free refills which you did yourself and food was ok just a little dry I’m afraid.

Doncaster Sheffield airport must be the most relaxing airport to fly from in England. This pub is situated after security, it’s in the main lounge where you’d sit waiting for the gate to open, which majority are close by. We ate here a few times before a flight out, there is plenty of seating and the staff are efficient in both order taking and serving food and drink.   One of my favourites is bacon, scrambled eggs and black pudding here with a beer, service was quick, as I always advocate in these establishments use the APP. A good drink to have is the bottomless tea/coffee, it is good value if you're going to drink several cups, but do be mindful, you might be spending some time up in the air.   Throughout the day, there is lots of choice on food and drinks menu, just what you'd expect from a Wetherspoons. The Customer service was fantastic, it's reasonably priced being a Wetherspoons in an airport, there is a good menu, staff are friendly and tables are clean and tidy.   It's a nice place to while away an hour with a beer while waiting to be called, an early morning pint (only allowed at Airports).   Interesting fact if you’re a fan, the comedy Come Fly With Me Was Filmed here.

There were 2 flights going to Romania in the evening, and we were on one. Having gotten through security, and being hungry, and with time to spare, the Doncaster airport Spoons was a no-brainer. All of a sudden, one of the flights went all red on the departure boards (and bear in mind both were due to leave at around 10pm) and I rushed up, churned over to the nearest board, stomach in knots, to find that the gentle folk bound for Cluj-Napoca had a 1am start; our flight to Timisoara was on time. I felt very sorry for the good men of Cluj and the fine ladies of Napoca, as I munched through my excellent chicken club sandwich (lots of hunks of chicken, pleasant emmental (?) cheese and beautiful crispy bacon), washed down by a cold Coors. Later, as we boarded our plane, these poor passengers looked glumly out the window at us, and it felt a bit like being on the last helicopter out of the American Embassy in Saigon. Anyway, I digress- the Running Horse does the job, just a shame you have to catch a flight to sample it.

I paid £9.30 for a small vegetarian breakfast and a cup of tea. How can they justify that sort of price? More than double that in one of their pubs. I was even asked for an extra £2.30 for another cup of tea, though if it was a coffee I could have had as many extra cups for free as I wanted. Where is the justification in that? Though I shall use the airport again I will not be buying any food and drink at this very expensive place.

Basically this review is about cold food - it was brought out to us literally 2minutes after we ordered it, to the point when they turned up with it, we said no it’s not ours as it was too quick.. so i know it’s all been pre cooked earlier and kept warm to help with busy times, I get that it’s an airport and it’s busy, but I am very used in town/city Wetherspoons waiting 10-20 mins for food, and they are packed too, and full of customers (some more than the amount of people waiting here) and I would have found that a perfectly acceptable wait rather than paying £14 for a few breakfast sandwiches that were stone cold and I ordered some hash browns that were soggy, which I don’t get as they are fried? Unless airport Wetherspoons aren’t allowed fryers in them? Must be something to do again with the fact we got our food 2 minutes after ordering it

I am amazed at what I’ve just witnessed...so the manager walked up to a table with two couples and abruptly asked the a lady of the group not to eat her own food I can understand that this is policy and she has to maintain it but maybe in a better manner...she then come back to the table moments later and in a more abrupt manor than before reiterated the policy.one of the gentleman of the group then challenged her over this and as she did not like his answer removed his drink and refunded his food and barred him from the drinking area...was this the end no...while the gentleman was getting a refund she appeared from the kitchen then to verbally attack him and irate the situation when there was no need...at best I can only say she was looking for a argument and to antagonise the gentleman when there was no need...With the amount of customers passing through this establishment I would look for a manager with better customer care...I can only hope some one repays her the same send off on the start of her holiday...

We were paying customers and mid meal and people next us we laid in for eating their own food on the site area of weatherspoons, they had drinks but 1 of the 4 had a prepacked sandwich, the other couple had ordered food. The manager joanne(i asked at the bar) was so out of order she never came i asked them not eat the sandwich, she ordered them off and then after she had wound the man up and upset them removed his pint and told him to get a refund. She took his pint and slammed it on the bar, surprised she didnt end up wearing it. He went to bar for a refund and she came back and had another go at him as she walked past, she said i dont have to put up with people like you....... she started it. Whilst the customer shouldnt eat their own sandwich on site if she has been courteous and pleasant to start with the customer i believed they would have happily moved and eaten it come back and finished their drink i am sure, a simple pointing out of policy and suggestion to customer to come back when done would have been far more appropriate. She was basically looking for a fight. Ive worked in customer service for 20years and could teach this woman a thing or too, her face told you she was after a fight, then was she spoke backed it up he marching around was so unnecessary. I felt sorry for the customer.

I explained that I had brought a small amount of cereal for myself, the barman said I couldn’t eat this and would have to sit in a separate area away from my family. When I explained that I was on a restricted diet he repeated that I would have to sit in a separate area, which I duly did. They can tell you what is gluten free, they have gluten free bread and will mix different parts of the menu as required. They even have gluten free condiments. We were so pleased we could start our holiday with a family meal that didn't exclude my son.

My fiancée and I had breakfast when travelling from the airport. It was very reasonably priced, service was fast despite being very busy and the food was piping hot. This is a particularly good place to eat if you are attending with a fussy eater as they were very accommodating when making minor changes. For an airport, I believe this was definitely not overpriced.

The Running Horse as always been a good airport pub to visit, where you can get a snack / main meal, beverages of different types, plus also selling ready packaged sandwiches, if required for your flight.Being a real ale drinker the pub had Abbott beer on the bar, which is a good 5% beer, at £3.45p a pint, other beer being John Smiths smooth, which personally I do not like.My wife opting for Latte coffee, which she said was a good cup of coffee, you expect to pay more at airports, but against Manchester & East Midlands bar prices we found the Running Horse a cheaper pub.

Before flying out to Portugal recently we called in here for breakfast. There isn't a lot of choice at Doncaster airport so we decided to try here.We all had a full English which at £8.60 isn't as cheap as a normal weatherspoons but you expect to pay more in an airport. We also had a pint of Carlsberg which is £4.10 a pint and a coffee which was £2.25 but with as many refills as you want.Everything was very nice and the service was really quick. If we fly from Doncaster airport again we would use this place again.

Came to the airport early, we got peckish so went for a meal deal, drink, snack and a sandwich they were all very good, to be honest you expect to pay more when they have a captive audience, if you don't want to pay the extra take a pack up, we found the food filling and of good quality....

Preflight breakfast very speedy although pricey for wetherspoons. Cup of tea at £2.75 and when I asked for extra hot water was told "we are not allowed to give out hot water" well that's a first and lost them a star on this review.

Waiting for an early flight to Berlin on a bright, clean lounge, decided to have breakfast of hot chocolate and cheese bagel, very poor quality and taste for both. The cheese bagel at £4.55 left a very dry taste in my throat and pocket. The chocolate £2.60 made with chocolate syrup!!!. Went back to the bar as it was tasteless but the addiction of extra syrup did not enhance the poor flavour, It did not and taste not of chocolate!!. All in all the worst experience at Weatherspoon ever.Staff courteous but slow when more than 2 people at the bar.

I go to wetherspoones quite a lot near our home, and so we decided to have lunch at the one in the airport as generally food ok, standard wetherspoons food. Firstly the food was ok, limited number of chips, and a limited meal choices (but to be expected in an airport), However what is unfair is they increased prices compared to normal wetherspoons! Tut tut!

Always have a meal and a few pints before travelling abroad.Real is not always available which is a last chance before going where nobody sells it.Would like a choice when it is on because at all last visits only Abbot was available.Very nice pub always busy and the pleasant staff cope very well. Look forward to our next visit.

Had an early flight so we were ready for a bacon sandwich when we arrived at the airport. The service was quick, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the sandwich was good and not badly priced for an airport. Enjoyed our coffees. This is not the first time we have had a sandwich at the airport and enjoyed it.

We decided to eat here due to Thomson not having much choice on the plane and a 5 hour journey ahead of us. My wife ordered a burger with myself and my son both having hot dogs. When the food arrived I wish I had ordered the burger myself as the hot dog was quite tough and our son didn't eat his at all, whereas my wife said her burger was delicious. I was disappointed at the limited choice on the menu which was totally different the the one online and don't expect normal Wetherspoon prices.Quite disappointed really with the quality for the price paid.

Wetherspoon's have done well in the placing of one of their public houses in Doncaster Robin Hood airport.Airports like Manchester & East Midlands charge a lot more for food & drink, over the years I have found the Wetherspoon pub on the airside of the airport very good value. They do a good breakfast, or Bacon Butty's etc, along with a selection of hot & cold drinks, along with a good selection of food.We normally have a breakfast, then buy a sandwich for the flight. to which isvery nice.

Cannot ask for more. On a family holiday with the wife and my 3 year old daughter. Ordered a kids nuggets for my daughter and as usual she didn't want it after it arrived. The manager (Joanne I think) asked if our food was OK, (lovely lady), told her about my daughter and she went in kitchen and got her a jam sandwich, and she eat it all. Never had service like this, especially an airport. Will be flying here more often

I had a bowl of tomato soup at The Running Horse pub at the Doncaster Airport. Firstly, I was appalled about the attitude of a young waitress (Amy, probably in her early twenties) - just for some reason decided to behave unpleasantly and being obstructive while taking my order, or perhaps she has been getting away with it for long? Although pub tables were 90% vacant, she made me go to the table and get the number of the one I would be sitting at, refusing to turn and look at the one I was pointing towards. I must admit that I do travel a lot (making on average 55 flights per year), and dining at various countries and restaurants, but I have NEVER come across such rude and unpleasant attitude before. I paid and gave Amy my feedback that I did not appreciate her "bad attitude". I was then served my soup (I did not have anything to eat since about 13:00 that day except for black coffee at about 15:00) - two hours later on the plane I started vomiting the entire soup, and this went on for all the following night and day leaving me exhausted and unfit really to enjoy my weekend family gathering, which I have been looking forward to for so long. Whether bad Amy's attitude and bad soup is a bad coincidence? I don't know, but my gut feeling tells me otherwise... If I had a medical condition, taking medications ect., such vomiting could have put me at significant health/life danger or even death. Clearly some people don't think beyond their narrow mind and see no consequences of their irresponsible behavior other than focusing on their satisfaction from taking revenge. I will never dine at the Running Horse pub at the Doncaster Airport again, and I do strongly discourage anyone from doing so!

Having been twice before we decided to go again after the afternoon at the theatre. At 5pm it was rowdy and the service was terrible. It was full of groups doing bottomless brunch. Not a suitable place for a family to dine. The swearing and behaviour was terrible and the restaurant didn’t do anything to control it or to keep families separate. Waited 15 mins to order drinks and another 10 mins is for them to be served. Amongst other things we ordered king prawns in shells… no napkins, no finger bowl. We had to ask twice for a napkin. Meanwhile our prawns went cold. We also ordered a pasta dish with chicken. The chicken didn’t come. So had to ask for that. When it arrived I’d finished the pasta and was left with chicken. We ordered two aperol spritz - they tasted like soda with hardly any aperol and certainly no Prosecco. They did correct them and they were then nice - but it’s not that hard to make a nice aperol. Service was slow on top of the mishaps. The staff are all barely out of school and just don’t care. One positive was that the food was nice. I wouldn’t return unless they sorted the staff out as I think this is what the issues boil down to. The staff they’ve chosen and the lack of management is going to unfortunately ruin the reputation of this nice restaurant. Rethink the bottomless brunch/decide what you want to be. You can’t be both a nice classy restaurant and offer bottomless brunch - not at least without separating the two and having some noise control.

We visited Bawtry and stopped at the Crown for Breakfast, wow we were impressed the breakfast was not only great value at £11.95 but the flavour of each individual item was really good, the sausage and bacon was good quality and the poached eggs cooked right. we will definately be back. i believe it was the chefs first day so we did send feedback in with the staff. i hope it made his day brighter
