Nice pub in Gravesend Kent. One of my mates invited me to try the Sunday roast dinner here, on Sunday 16 February. 🍽️ I had the nut roast and it was excellent it is the best I've had for a long time. Very nice pint of beer and the staff very friendly making me feel welcome.. 👍👍 shame I can only give five stars I would give more. I would highly recommend you try here 👍👍

Lovely little pub, nice relaxed atmosphere.

I went to a function here recently, the food was amazing, staff so accommodating and atmosphere was very friendly. Also, been to Soul Sunday and this was brilliant and now looking forward to a pop up roast which I have not been to before but heard that it is fantastic, I would definitely recommend.

Great night out as always bar staff super friendly efficient and funny especially that Viking dude and the owner (an ex footy superstar) bought me a drink who can fault that! Definitely booking one of the roasts from their popular kitchen they look IMMENSE!!!!

Great staff and landlords. Happy to spend every waking moment within these hallowed wall’s unfortunately work keeps getting in the way of an otherwise wonderful relationship with the pub. 10/10 would go again.

The new old place to be! Amazing atmosphere, polite competent fun staff! Lovely selection of spirits wines and beers generic and non generic! My most favourite is the pop up roasts absolutely the best in the area 🫶🏻

Heard about the rum from a friend and went with a few girlfriends for drinks , great service and lovely atmosphere will definitely go there again !

i love this pub, it’s my go-to for a function. my last booking was for my aunts 50th and the rooms were amazing and the grazing table was delicious and had amazing presentation. i’ve been here for a couple drinks without a function and the staff are lovely and is well ran!!

Attended a birthday party in the upstairs hall. The food provided by the pub looked amazing. The 2 young bartenders were very lovely. We bought our own music via a speaker and playing off a phone. So not DJ or band volume! At 10.50 the landlord approached a guest regarding the music, he was rather rude , unprofessional and with a threatening attitude told him to turn the music off NOW. He put a dampner on what was a brilliant night. I would never recommend this pub to anyone having a private party. There is simply no need to speak to paying guests in this manner. So it would have been 5 stars but he has let the rest of his hardworking team down

Went to this pub last night to watch a great band, was having a great time until I went to get another round of drinks at 10.45 (the band was still playing) and was refused!!! Wtf they take you money all night and then close early even though the pub was still full!! Such a shame as they have now lost customers

Love this little pub. The staff are lovely. We are not regulars we live on the other side of town, but we may as well be from the welcome we get when we do pop in. Extra bonus…dogs welcome!

Although slightly biased I really like this place, it’s busy enough and has a varied clientele. Drinks are as you’d expect but the Neck Oil is sublime, probably the best I’ve drunk anywhere, and I’ve drunk a lot of the stuff. It’s one of those places that has you coming back time and again

A lovely team and friendly environment. We had a great family event here. Spread over two room and with an amazing buffet spread. With a garden that backs onto the river theres a definite summer vibe here.

What a beautiful, friendly, welcoming venue. Family birthday party fully staffed and catered for in well proportioned rooms and balcony with wonderful views of the River. I had such a wonderful time. Thank you, and, as Arnie says, "I'll be back."

Nice pub, great function room upstairs

After attending a wedding there last year, we hired the upstairs function room for a big family birthday party last week and can't fault it. Beautifully decorated function rooms, fabulous food and friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Totally fabulous pub, really. I've probably been here a fair few times now, the first time being springtime 2022 and the last was 2 weeks back. Always made welcome here, great choice of really well prepared & well kept beers. And you can always have a conversation without having to busy your lungs shouting. Highly recommend.

We booked the Rum Puncheon for our wedding party and we had simply the best day. From start to finish, Jacqui and her team were just brilliant - supportive and intent on ensuring that our reception was exactly how we wanted it. Nothing was too much trouble. So many of our guests have commented on how beautiful the venue is, as well as the high-quality service, attention to detail and the most amazing food. If you are looking for a great venue, overlooking the Thames then you need to look no further. Simply wonderful. Thank you so much!

Quite a smart pub considering the location. It doesn't seem to attract the standard Gravesend clientele. Nicely decorated and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. The bar lady was very nice. Background music could be a little better but that's my only gripe.

What a gem in Gravesend! I've driven past this building and never popped in until yesterday. A humming hive , such a warm welcome by the lovely staff... Clean spacious toilets ( important for us girls) and the decor is not something you'd expect for a bar in Gravesend. Despite there being a big birthday party in there we had plenty choice of tables to sit at and a garden over looking the river. They have a function room upstairs (just being redecorated for a wedding) so we didn't see that but if it is anything like the bar area then with their upper terrace view over the river you'd be sure to have a glass of something lovely with a nice relaxing view to accompany. By far the nicest bar we've been in for a while all due to the whole package and the wonderful bar team there. We will definately pay the Rum Puncheon again, well worth a visit after a long walk along the canal from Higham to Gravesend.

A small group of us booked 2 tables for a few birthday beers - the staff were extremely welcoming and everything was "Covid secure" and well organised. Surprisingly, it was the first time we've been to this pub, but will definitely be visiting again.

Great little pub on the river. We visited when only outdoor seating was open due to lockdown and the staff were helpful. Looking forward to visiting again when back to 'normal. Food smelled lush!

Went here 10 years ago, I think. From what I can remember it was a fab day drinking in the garden. Great location for a bar, right on the river. Walked past it the other day, made me miss it, so I took a picture from the outside looking up.

Attended a 50th birthday party on there function room. A hood time was had by all!

Nice atmosphere and good selection of wines. Good value with competitive pint prices.

Went there after a long break as they had gone downhill in food quality,but I am glad to say that this is no longer the case the food was great, but drinks prices are high I had a whisky and mixer and the charge for the mixer was £1.20 which made the payment for roast and desert with a soft drink to over £52

Can't quite say why, but I liked this place. The beer was excellent and the locals, including the bar staff were very friendly. Well worth a visit.

Great pub with a basic but pleasant beer garden. It's quieter than other pubs in the area so you're much more likely to get a table for a summer evening drink.

Have visited the Rum Puncheon in Gravesend a few times now, but this Sunday was the best! As it was the launch of their roast dinners! WOW! A Beautiful hot home made roast it was indeed! I have been to many restaurants for roasts which have been either microwaved or left under hot lights, but this roast dinner totally exceeded my expectations! I seriously couldn’t have done any better making it myself at home! We will definitely be back! Thank you to the staff who were so lovely! .. I can thoroughly recommend the Rum Puncheon for good atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff and excellent food :)

They advertise some good beers but none were available, no bottled alternatives either. The function room upstairs had several lightbulbs that were either missing or not working and also a broken toilet seat. Great potential though...
