Great value "pensioner" cod and chips £6.50!

Have always got my fish and chips from here on the rare occasion I treat myself and family. Really disappointed this time, both bits of fish were dry and the batter was very hard and inedible, cod roe was mushy and not a lot of it. Service was incredibly slow, yes it was a Friday but it seemed everybody else was getting their food and I wasn't, to the point I had to enquire where my order was. Staff are friendly as always but I don't think I will be buying from here again.

I picked up three portions of fish and chips and two scampi and chips yesterday, for a rare family lunch on a special occasion. We were all very impressed at how good the food was. The fish was cooked to absolute perfection. Beautifully battered with wonderful white and meaty fish inside. The scampi was just as good and there was a lot of it. Proper chips, I mean really proper chips. This has to be the best fish n chips we have ever had - no exaggeration. The staff there are genuinely nice people and the service is very good. Top marks all round. Thank you Golden Fish.

This place was recommended to me so I had the OAP cod and chips. It was lovely 😀. The batter was lovely and crisp and not at all greasy. The chips were lovely and the portion size was great. Angel was very warm and friendly and we chatted whilst the fish was being cooked. Will definitely be going back!!

We always go there for our fish and chips, portions are generous, freshly cooked never had a bad meal. Good selection, the staff are friendly and welcoming, our favourite fish bar in Gravesend. Many thanks to the staff for running a great fish and chip shop.

We go there for a "special" meal. We buy Chips, bread roll, chicken and mushroom pie and a can of coke. Sit and eat the lot in the car. To go back to our youth, steamy windows etc etc. The chips and accompanying food are always good. The service always polite and respectful. Tis the best place we have found for what we call going out for "a chip". Recommended to all.

Really enjoy the fish n’ chips, always cooked fresh, very generous portions and friendly staff. My kids love it too! Definitely the best chippy in Gravesend in my opinion.

Nothing much to say about it. Ate there once l, ordered a burger and some fish and chips but the staff was very nice but I'm not giving a 5 star because the food took longer than expected. Overall great shop

I've not been to gravesend for a good 8 years come to this chip shop I released how much better the food is here then my own town 5* we really enjoyed the food and customer service was great

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The cod and chips we have had there are always good. The fish is fried when we place our order. The chips are excellent. The fish and chips is wrapped carefully and put into a bag. The whole place has always looked immaculate.

Absolutely awful treatment of staff. Abused the poor young lady at the front to the point I am sure he fired her in front of the whole shop. I would have walked but my food was ready anyway. Until they fix their attitude to staff I will never eat from here again and will not recommend

Best chip shop around I think... always cooked to perfection owner and staff very friendly. I drive past at least six chip shops just to go here. Chips are lovely and so is everything you pick to go with them.

For the las 6 times I have said I won’t get chips from there anymore, but each time I go there I seem to get the dregs and ends of the chips, not nice Staff very friendly

Good is normal very good. But have had some over cooked food of late

The chips are really oily and the fishcake are cooked again the next day so they go hard!!
