The Royale Dosa in Birmingham

We went as a party of Four , two of us are still sick two weeks and counting later wether that's a coincidence I don't know but I won't be risking it again.

Friendly staff and efficient service. Nice ambience. Food was very good..had mixture of starters and dosas. Chutney and sambar was perfect - not too watery like in some places. Used to go to Solihull for when we wanted a ‘dosa fix’ but now no need to travel that far!

Amazing food! A must visit place if you are craving authentic Indian food. Very low prices, value for money and one of the best meals had in a very long time.

The food and service was amazing. Specifically the dessert are the best and currys as well. The authentic taste of currys every thing was amazing

Visited this place . As per their name , Dosa was fantabulous. It doesn’t stop there . Their Medhu Vada , chicken 65 was also great . Nothing less in their mains too. We were 7 of us and ordered almost all the curries . Everything has their own unique flavour and taste. Thanks to Chef Mariyappan and Chef Nanda Kumar who created authentic Indian food. A big shout out to these 2 gems. Will definitely visit again . Thanks for the lovely experience.

We were excited to hear about a new place offering South Asian cuisine in the area . Went on the off chance at 5pm on a Saturday, the place was really busy bit they found us a spot. Great service, tasty food. Massive dhosas and really nice starters. Good veggie selection. Will be back.

Very poor service. Asked for water 4 times to be constantly brushed off. They had the heating on full. 30 minutes for a drink is very poor. Really don't see what the hypes all about. Underseasoned average food you can get anywhere.

Amazing food, so tasty and the staff were really attentive. We will definitely return and hope to try the dosa next time.

We would all like to say what an amazing restaurant and the staff are out of this world we love it here ! The staff are totally amazing go above and beyond every time we have been in the food has been delicious We came for a birthday 15 of us and we all felt at home , had food that came out hot and all together catered for the children and would highly recommend this restaurant Thank you all so much Shaun and family

Really love dosa. Nowhere locally to eat this. So when I found it was on Kings Road I couldn't wait to try it. You have to believe me - I was not disappointed. It was amazing and super delicious. I'll be back before you know it.xxxxx yummmmmmm loved it. Go try it for yourselves

An amazing place to have a proper dosa with mouth watering sambar to complement… brought back memories of India….. the filter coffee was how proper filter coffee should be .. we also had lamb chops which were wonderful and the service was exemplary…. Will definitely keep going back … after all ..there is so much more to taste and going by my first experience the entire menu promises to be culinary delight…

Took the family tonight to this new offering. South Indian is rare in Birmingham and dosas especially so. Really lovely friendly staff, and a good size menu with a large veggie offering. The dosas were absolutely superb. Will go back to try more of the menu. With tip and soft drinks, was £110 for 5 so excellent value too. This will be a regular for us.

What a gem of a restaurant! We noticed this newly opened restaurant on a walk back from the supermarket just after Christmas and we're so glad we booked for NYE. The staff are extremely friendly and help you with your food choices. The bar prices were very reasonable and the white wine was chilled 👌 But the real reason for this excellent review...the food!. Oh my word! We shared a mixed platter for our starter which was very generous, and included chicken, lamb and fish. Totally delicious, perfectly seasoned and spiced with tasty accompanying dips. Then the star of the show - the dosa. My wife and son's girlfriend had the masala dosa whilst my son and I had the lamb dosa. Both dishes were wonderfully fresh and fragrant, each with a delicious sambar accompaniment. Again, perfectly spiced and seasoned. We were very happy with our meal and we are already looking forward to our next visit! 😀

We chose The Royal Dosa for my wife's birthday as we enjoyed the experience on our previous visit at Friday afternoon.My daughter ,son in law and my 2 grandsons from London wanted to eat the masala dosa so we went on Saturday evening.The restaurant was packed but as we had prebooked we had a table reserved. We ordered large mixed grill as starters which everybody enjoyed. In mains we had Rogan Josh,Bombay Aloo, Chilli paneer,chicken dosa,sada dosa ,mendu vada and masala dosa.We had naan which was nice and soft.We enjoyed the food including the grand children. The dessert was exceedingly good. The management and staff brought a birthday cake with a candle without any charge . The staff were very helpful and the service was very good. We recommend this restaurant to our friends.My friend Kishan and his wife had a meal yesterday after our recommendation.They had lamb chops,Kheema matar,Paneer saag and idli sambhar and they enjoyed the food and the cleanliness and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Food and service was outstanding, almost felt as though we were back in South India. Food is authentic and so flavoursome, the staff were very attentive. Overall a great restaurant, we look forward to returning and trying everything on the menu!

Excellent food and service throughout. All our food was great and Selva was very accommodating when my son found the food slightly spicy. It was perfect for the rest of us and highly recommend.

Amazing south Indian food. We got it to takeaway, but the staff were super friendly when we were there to pick up and it looked really nice inside. Will definitely bring the family back and dine in next time. 100% recommend.

Foods was delicious, piping hot and well presented . Service was too good and attentive. Price is very reasonable. I would like to highly recommend to everyone.
