This pub is only round the corner from where I live, I've lived in this area for over 12 years, but this was the first time I've used this pub. Firstly when I walked in there was only 4 other people, I walked to the bar and asked for a pint of bitter, " we don't sell bitter" was the reply, oh "a pint of Guinness then please" "£5.60 please" was the reply. I haven't been in there since but they now have a notice outside saying Under New Management let's hope their prices have changed as well 🤔

The pub was the haunt of local celebrity (at The Red House) William Morris, great to see it still has a historical interior and exterior. Landlord very friendly.

Seemed nice enough , but for 2 x 1/2 lagers, 1 packet of Crisps & some Peanuts, £10.35 seemed excessive. When did it start to cost £1.50 for a packet of Crisps & over £2 for a small pot of Peanuts. Wasn't impressed

Came here for a drink, and noticed there were only about 4 other customers. Went to the bathroom before ordering and was barricaded by the landlady on my way back outside. She very rudely berated both me and my husband individually on the way out of the toilet, saying that 'this is not a public toilet', not even asking if I was going to buy a drink. We certainly weren't going to after that, and promptly left as she yelled after us, 'I find you incredibly rude.' The shabby, run down and virtually empty pub seems like it could use all the customers it can get, but clearly the vile landlady has chased them all away.

Went here for the first time with a friend around 20 minutes before close for 1 pint. All went fine until the bar lady was joined by what seemed her friends or other staff, and we heard “have they just come in? Oh for god sake” in which we were made to feel unwelcome within 2 minutes of arriving. It carried on for the next 5 minutes without them realising we could here them as they turned off all music and it was just us and them, we heard them say “get out of my pub” and I caught one of them pointing at us whilst talking about us, and quickly tried to mask it as we looked over. Not great, not welcoming for anyone not from the area. Sadly disappointed people go out of their way to make other feel uncomfortable. We rushed our drinks and left

OK but most pubs have a better selection of pale ales and ciders.

Bar staff excellent. Felt like a valued customer even after the bar closed. Friendly regulars.5 stars because one barmaid in particular although busy still had time for all her customers, she was polite very well mannered and made my time very pleasant indeed.

Went to watch the euros football where the pub was over crowded considering the covid restrictions for the time. Masses of people sharing tables to the point where people had to stand. No attempt from the pub to help regulate it. No security at all, which I personally think should be there on an event like this, as the staff would certainly not be able to manage a situation was it to occur. Which it did! Towards the end of the night, a glass was thrown from outside which came through the pub window smashing over our table and cutting my face. Extremely lucky no one was seriously hurt. The situation was dealt with dreadfully as no one came to my concern and the culprit not dealt with. Drugs being blatantly used by the customers, again no effort is made to help prevent this. Maybe some form of security may help regulate a busy event??? However, the staff are friendly and approachable, just under trained and inexperienced to hold an event of that scale.

If I could give no stars I would. The landlady makes Miss Hannigan from Annie look like Father Christmas! Terrible time had here and children left crying. Avoid this place if you have a family.

Have had dinner here a few times and was very disappointed tonight. I understand that it is busy but we waited 1.5 hours for food as we only ordered mains. We waited 25 mins to even be asked what we would like to order .When the food came the burger bun was extremely burnt so wasn’t eaten and a pasta dish was wrong which could have resulted in ambulance being called as I explained I’m very allergic to prawns and they gave me a dish with prawns in. I only realised that it was the wrong dish as what I ordered was pasta in white sauce and the dish I was served was a red sauce. After explaining this the waiter told me that I definitely ordered what I was served but I definitely wouldn’t order a dish with prawns in as said I am allergic. Dish was still on the bill and no apology was given. After this experience I don’t think I’ll come again as the service is always slow but never been spoken to so rudely. Also an edit. They say online that they have a kids menu but when asking for one for my grandad (he doesnt eat much) we was told they dont have one.

This place used to be my go to for breakfast . Not sure whats happened . The place was so cold everyone had their coats on - hardly OAP friendly . The heating wasn't even on and it was 2 degrees outside . I'm not surprised there was only 6 people inside there on a Saturday . Service was quick but my tinned tomatoes were stoned cold , not just luke warm I mean like they'd been in the fridge cold . Price wise like most these days , was £35 for 3 adults and a 5 year old for lunch . I'd pay probably £5 more in walnuts and everything is excellent . Literally nothing in Crayford for breakfast now

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all who helped make my brother’s memorial on Sunday a lovely day. From Lisa who manned the bar with her great smile & personality, to the tasty food catered & presented. Thank you all again from the Connolly Family.
