Well priced decent food in a quiet friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely wonderful meal food was delicious and the service was fantastic! Highly recommend this place for everyone to come eat.

Hired out a side of the pub for a joint birthday party for family and friends and it was the perfect place! We struggled to find somewhere that was a good price but most importantly size wise suitable and local which provided food, drink, space and a bit of light music and good atmosphere, and the travellers home ticked all the boxes! Everyone commented what a lovely atmosphere it had and most importantly how nice the staff were! A huge thanks to Shania and her team (Gary, Charlie and Marion). From the moment we enquired to the very end Shania was great, so friendly and nothing was a problem! Just a great experience dealing with the team to make it a special day. The food - we ordered a buffet and again great food which (thank you to the chefs - Amy, Arturas and Tracey). There was another party after us so we had to shuffle around to a new spot (all agreed beforehand) again was no problem and Shania even reserved us enough space for those who wanted to stay later to ensure we all were sitting together! We would 100% use this place again for a quiet lunch or family event! And def recommend this pub to everyone!

Would of been 5* however was a bit chilly tonight and heating outside wasn’t working hopefully they get this fixed before winter also music a bit quite even tho there’s karaoke, maybe advertise a bit more because was quite atmosphere was good however for a Saturday night wanted it to be more lively

Love this pub. There's around a dozen pubs closer to me than this pub, but this one is well worth going out of my way for. It's well connected as only a 5 minute walk from Bexleyheath bus station. The staff always make me feel welcome and are very attentive. Very clean, great tasting beer and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

We had the most fantastic experience dining at The Travellers with my two lovely children! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The menu at The Travellers offered a delightful selection of dishes that catered to all our tastes. My children were over the moon with their children’s menu, while I thoroughly enjoyed my perfectly cooked Hunters chicken with a side of chips. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing the chef's expertise and passion for creating delicious meals. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was outstanding as well. The staff at The Travellers went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Great booking 'app', though table ordering via the same 'app' failed repeatedly.... But bar & restaurant staff all brilliant - very friendly, welcoming, helpful & knowledgeable.

When we came in the pub the person behind the bar shouted across the pub have you got a booking the table given was tight against another which as a disabled customer was not comfortable and again the lady shouted we have a party of 21 so you can’t move the food was awful the food was not up to standard

We popped in to have a quick dinner and although the food was nice enough it fell shirt on service and atmosphere, the place was cold, we sat at a table with crumbs and dirty glass and no one attempted to clear or clean the whole time we were there, our food came out and that was the extent of the staff interaction, no one asked how the meal was and once we'd finished a number of staff walked past our empty plates and left them there, in fact a member of management or head office was sat at the table next to us on his laptop, it seams like the art of customer service has died

Good, honest pub food, nothing spectacular but nothing pretentious either. I always enjoy the food here. Dog friendly. It could do with a wider choice of real ales but the Doombar is OK.

Charlie was a brilliant bar tender and served us very professionally and with great knowledge about the stock and beer taste and advised on what to drink. I would recommend this pub and the facilities. Very friendly and welcoming Dog friendly and even have a dog menu for them to eat so they don’t hassle you for your dinner

It was absolute chaos for my granddaughter 16th there was enough of us in total 18 the poor bar staff just 2 had a full pub dealing with everyone my chicken combo steak was chicken burnt steak ordered rare was inedible I'm shocked when this should have been sorted out on placing a big family our orders should have been taken at the table individually not like Mcdonald take away

Very disappointed with presentation of food and quality , and would not rush back , especially during any busy time as I don't think they cope well .

Had a lovely steak meal in this pub very good service I would recommend. I live very close to the Travellers Home you could say it's our family local and on my recent visit I noticed improvements it seems to be managed a lot better than the recent years the staff are plesant and the foods fantastic and incredible value for your money. So if like me you had bad experience with the establishment in the past give it another try you will be pleasantly surprised.

First visit for breakfast here not really impressed- food took over 45minutes to arrive, food just about warm, sausage not cooked fully, bacon burnt in places, cold toast- if it hadn’t been that it was a special occasion I would have complained and asked for a refund Felt sorry for the young girl trying to serve everyone on her own -she did apologise for the wait.

Delicious breakfast today, all perfectlycooked and well presented. The service was excellent and we shall definitely be coming again. Thank you.

I ordered lunch at 1210. It arrived at 1255. It wasn't busy inside the pub either! The time before that, when we ordered lunch, it was a similar story....we waited around 40mins for our food. Me and my wife have been coming to this pub for years. We've always enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. However, I'm not sure why it takes so long for the food to arrive these days!? The food itself was fantastic. And the service from the bar staff is always top drawer. But, waiting so long for the food to arrive does need to be addressed.

The service and food was good but unfortunately when we went to order some desserts we was told that the kitchen had closed it was only 9.10 and they had only cleared our table after our main course and no one said that the kitchen was about to close and our table was booked till 9.45 so what’s the point of a finishing time ?

Wouldn't recommend going for food. We had 5 meals between us and only 1person enjoyed there's. Burnt pork, overcooked chicken, Chewy steak. Service could not be faulted but food was disappointing

Been to Travellers home a few times for dinner and drinks and always had a nice time. Food is lovely and drink, both very reasonably priced and atmosphere is good.

Busy Sizzling Grill and pub, decent pint of Guinness and good place to watch football, have TNT and Sky. Can get quite loud especially when karaoke is on - but it adds to the entertainment!

Really nice bar staff and welcome... however, some issues with kitchen and food quality: 1. Seems chef finds it impossible to change chicken wings to strips when part of a sharing platter 2. Turkey skewers dry as dust with no proper sauce 3. 'Proper' desserts not completely available. I ordered the After Eight dessert with oreos, as the usual chocolate ingredient was not available (as a few others I also tried to order)... the dessert was basically 80% cream, one scoop of ice-cream and half an oreo.

I walked in and was greeted by smiles, even though it was busy they managed to seat our table of four pretty quickly. Food was pretty good for pub food but the person who made our visit so nice was our waitress Ruby , even though we could see how busy she was she always checked in on our table to see if everything was alright. The drinks and we’re a bit pricey and it was a bit cramped but overall had an enjoyable day with family here.

Staff were great but very unimpressed with the food. Ordered sizzling fajitas and they came out not sizzling.sent back to kitchen and still came back the same.Its your signature selling point and can't get that right.

On a Saturday night, kids should NOT be running around a pub dining area screaming & treating it like a personal play ground.. the adults were shouting with thd kids & chasing them around as well in play... Couldn't have a decent conversation with the disturbance & the management shoukd have stepped in & quietened them down... no excuse for that behaviour & it spoilt the evening. As a result its put myself & others off from frequenting a pub that has in the past provided good food & service..

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. As we were the only diners in there the service was ok, but the breakfast was not very hot, overall the meal left a lot to be desired.

We booked in advance when we arrived was told we would have to have a bucket on table as roof was leaking. We refused and was given a table right by the door a foot away from the bar which was busy and a tv screen above so my mum could not really join in conversation. Also steak was medium rare not well done. And staff seemed carefree

Food, Atmosphere, drink and service was excellent. My only criticism is the tables are close together, my thoughts were if someone was in a wheelchair it would be tricky without disruption to seat that person. So maybe remove a couple of tables to accommodate. When people went passed my table I was nudged numerous times.
