Family pub. Good food. Burger Thursday well worth a visit. Often decent bands on.

One of the best roasts in the Cotswolds. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Pub had plenty of space for walk ins but really should be full for the quality. No faff no fluff on the farm the beef came from or which season the chicken was born in, just a menu saying beef chicken or pork and they put the effort to source all the best quality bits to make a full plate that was delicious. Loved it. Even the music was nice and relaxing for a Sunday afternoon.

We popped in today for lunch. Staff was very friendly. All very good, food lovely and hot. Nice drink of Rosa. We wouldn't hesitate to pop in again if we were passing that way.

Great sunday roast, big portion, tasty and hot. Could not fault. They did have a vegetarian nut roast on the online menu which wasn't actually available. Also had the sticky toffee pudding which was good. We did have to wait about 45mins and there was a smelly dog at the table next to us but lovely pub atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff.

Super Pub in a lovely location. Food was spot on and the hospitality is second to none. Graham, Sheila and all the staff are amazing. Definitely drop in here if you are in the area.

The best roast I've ever had. Lovely meat, good portion and an extra slice of bread for hubby to soak up the delicious gravy. Lovely olde worlde feel in the charming cotswold stone pub which also had a huge logburner. What's not to love on a cold Sunday. Back soon.

Perfect place to stop on our journey. A very warm and friendly welcome for ourselves and the dog. The fabulous pot of tea was just what we needed in a beautiful pub.

Didn't do food on the day I called in but takeaways available nearby. Stopped overnight in camper in quiet level car park at back. Host friendly and had a good natter with locals

The food was good but the service could’ve better

Great local village pub, the people running it are very welcoming, the bar area is laid out nice the seating arrangement is nice with cosy little places to sit amongst the old beams. The food, though we didn't eat, looks delicious. And they do a great pint of Guinness. It has a real nice ambience with people chatting. Definitely a place to go in the summer with their outdoor area. If you are in the area, look it up. You won't be disappointed

As members of the Austin Healey Club South West we found ourselves in the position of having to find a new venue for our monthly ‘get together’ and annual meetings. What a find indeed! From the outset all of the staff have been helpful, friendly and accommodating - as well as a couple of meetings we have already held our AGM followed by 3 course dinner for all. All of our meals were delicious, plentiful, great value and served with smiles all round by the staff! As I write we are this evening meeting up again at The Royal Oak for our monthly social and are all looking forward to their wonderful hospitality and great beer! Thank you for looking after us so well and we very much look forward to a long and happy relationship!

Lovely chance find whilst passing. Friendly welcoming staff, and despite no chef, and apologies for the limited menu, one of the best Sunday luches we've had in a pub. Would definitely go out of our way to go back in the future. Thank you.

No food available as no chef!! They are actively looking. Plenty of covered outside seating and wood fired pizza area. Inside quirky with some window seats and impressive wooden horse sculptures Beer and larger selection ok. Service friendly. Pool table area. Nice lounge snug area. Will go back when has chef to try food as could be good

Travelling in the area and found this random little Gem of a pub! There was a small car park at the side. Lots of room inside for sitting and with the large beer garden and outdoor bar too, it was clear this was a pub that put a lot of effort into keeping people happy and entertained. Food and drink were soon ordered and soon on the table! Veggie options were available which is always great to see. The veggie lasagna was delicious! Staff were friendly and prices were fair! If ever I'm in the area again, I'll be popping by! Enjoy!

We only ever drop in for a few beers after mountain biking around the cotswolds (great spot!). Pub is great, beer is great and food looks really nice.

We have just had the most delicious Sunday lunch in this cosy and comfortable pub. The surroundings and decor are great, the outside space is fab and we love the wooden horses! We could not find any fault at all with the excellent meals..the roast dinners and puddings were divine ...in fact all 5 of us were really impressed. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming ..we weren't rushed in any way. It was the perfect and relaxed bank holiday lunch. We will definitely be back!! Thank you so much!

Just make sure you confirm the time we turned up at 7.30 the time we booked to be told they'd got the time wrong and given our pizzas away so we had to go hungry

Appalling customer service. There was a mistake made when the booking time was written in the book, as conveyed to the scribe from the person on the phone, so they said we were 'late'. They had given our table away, probably to a local. They could have phoned us to confirm if we were still coming. There was no effort made to accommodate or compensate for their mistake. In their case the customer is always wrong.

Absolutely beautiful pub with a fantastic outside space & awesome staff. Stopped with my 9 year old daughter due to traffic delays on our way further west, ordered some lunch whilst we were there. Great food, possibly the best ploughman's lunch I have ever eaten. Superb.

Stopped here on our way back from a hike. The outside area is amazing, lots of space, very unique furniture, staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. I had a fish finger sandwich which hit the spot perfectly. Great selection of drinks and a pool table. My kind of pub, keep up the good work!

I had the 'dirty burger', not sure why it was called that, it was just a very bland burger, probably frozen, with a slice of bacon and cheese slice in a bun, nothing fancy, probably the most underwhelming burger I've had for as long as I can remember. Served with a couple of wedges of tomato, a small piece of cucumber and chips. Chips are nice though to be fair. Wife had the chicken burger, nothing special again. Service was very friendly and attentive. Nice pub to go to if you just want a drink but the food lets it down.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious and priced well. It won't be our last visit.

Lovely pub, nice staff. I was cycling through, they has a secure garden for my bike, offered to fill my water bottles and i sat in the sun in the nice garden with a welcome drink and snack. The inside looked lovely too and hot food smelt amazing. Perfect

OK. Reasonably certain I'll never go to this place again (it's a bit out of my usual route anywhere) but I came past it last week. OK beer, lovely, friendly staff. If I do go this way again I will pop in.

Was there for a wake. Hadn't been in for a long time. 20+ yesrs. What an absolutely brilliant pub. I cannot recommend it highly enough, especially in the summer with the amazing beer garden. Fantastic selection of food as well. Will definitely be back

I had a fantastic fishfinger sandwich at the C18 grade II-listed Royal Oak in Andoversford - a friendly Cotswolds pub.

Delicious lunch (calamari, chicken burger and brownie) 😻 Excellent, efficient and friendly staff. A beautiful pub, and we were lucky that the weather allowed us to enjoy the outside new space. All this made it the perfect Saturday lunch!

Called on the off chance for lunch, being in the area. Lovely upbeat welcome, soon seated and orders taken, had starters and mains - no room for puds- all beautifully cooked, presented and delicious, no lengthy waits but not rushed either. Great way to end lovely visit to the area. Thank you.

Visited this morning, after a trip up to O'brien McPherson Racing Stables, and was the perfect breakfast spot. Roaring log fire, super friendly service, and lovely coffee and breakie provided. Definitely going back!

What a beautiful little Jem of a pub! Graham and Sheila are fab-u-lous host! We have had a ball this evening. The food is amazing good quantities and beautifully presented. Fabulous roast and very much appreciated in these times when it's tough to cater and serve outdoors. Made great use of the car park with seating and outdoor bar. Very impressed. My only small criticism is some confusion after booking in for food told to take a table then waited for 20 mins to be served drinks after going up to bar told was table service when people being served at bar so slight confusion. But overall thank you.

Really enjoyed eating here on several occasions and meeting friends for drinks - a lovely cozy atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff even pointed out I had a flat tyre and pumped it up for me! Would recommend 10/10!

They have just cancelled a birthday group with just over an hour before our booking. People are on the way. We now have no plan for the birthday, for lunch, or what to do now. No apology was made. Part of the reasoning was that they might need the tables for regular customers who might turn up.

Fantastic family-run freehouse, WOOD FIRED PIZZA!!!! There's a reason why this is higher rated than the frogspawn down the road. Lovely people, 3 marriage proposals in 20 minutes - my kinda place. The owners really helped us out in our hour of need, gratitude doesn't even cover it.

We stopped by at short notice for lunch. We were well looked after. Good honest pub sized portions at a reasonable price. Lots of outdoor space.

Came to this place purely based on google reviews and it did not disappoint. A quintessential pub offering real home-cooked food (nothing was frozen). The chips were chunky and all the meals were decent portions. Hats off to the chef, will definitely come back.

Great pub, food is good value for money and the staff are friendly and attentive. As for facilities, lovely fire place, seperate eating area, clean toilets and garden area (although I didn't go outside). There is also on site parking that isn't charging.
