Ayer alquilamos el cuarto trasero en el Royal Oak Whitchurch y tuvimos la fiesta perfecta para mi hijo! Lisa y el equipo no podían hacer lo suficiente por nosotros, eran tan serviciales! Incluso ayudándonos a configurar y limpiar después. La reserva fue completamente GRATIS y nos permitieron traer nuestro propio buffet sin cargo adicional. Había un montón de espacio para unos 40 huéspedes, incluso sin la zona al aire libre. Muy recomendable 👌

Yesterday we hired out the back room in the Royal Oak Whitchurch and we had the perfect party for my son! Lisa and the team couldn't do enough for us, they were so accommodating! Even helping us to set up and clean up after. The booking was completely FREE and we were allowed to bring our own buffet at no extra charge. There was plenty of room for around 40 guests, even without the outdoor area. Highly recommended 👌

Lovely little pub but land lady was angry. I leant over the side of the bar and all I heard was your banned and you're mates banned as well for taking photos. He didn't even take a photo bless him. Other than that it's a lovely pub Can I come back please

Basic pub with an expected range of beers. Definitely one for the locals.

Decided on Whitchurch Village to have a drink last night. Tried the Oak first as there was a couple of tables free outside. Got served quite quickly and thought I was good here for the evening. Took a sip of my drink and realised that my Strongbow glass had been filled with lager. I took it back to the bar but had to wait a few minutes to have the error rectified as only one if the two staff behind the bar was serving. The other one, who later identified himself as the Landlord, seemed fixated on the CCTV monitors above the bar but noticed me returning my drink and overheard a pleasant exchange of words with his colleague. As I turned to return to my table I noticed that the Strongbow was swiftly going flat and that it has been served in a wet glass. I turned back around and laughingly said that I thought I night be jinxed and maybe it would be third time lucky. I appreciate that I was wearing a face mask but cant believe that my tone could of bee taken as anything less than jovial. The Landlord told his colleague not tu serve as I was being rude and asked ne to leave after refunding my money. Wont be going here again and wouldn't recommend that anyone else dose. Tried two other bars and felt a bit like goldilocks! Please see other reviews. I turned

No Social Distancing, Loud, Foul Language whilst children and families passing by. Terrible, such a loss losing Deb & Will, they wouldn't have put up with it.

Too noisy, but all pubs are too noisy at my age.

A good pub, relaxed atmosphere and good food.

Quiet, clean and good priced beer but a shame about the slow service and the young lady behind the bar who looked like she'd rather be anywhere but serving behind the bar and couldn't pick a smile our of a line up.

No es lo mismo desde que María se fue, un poco de basura ahora, la mayoría de los lugareños que solían beber allí han ido a otro lugar, no se recomienda para una salida nocturna sin problemas

Agradable pub local. Bueno para los deportes al parecer El personal educado y servicial. Barra pequeña en la parte delantera y barra grande en la parte trasera. Sin duda un pub local la noche que visitamos.

Used to be a friendly place full of characters and banter has been taken over by loud mouthed people who are bigoted and full of themselves aggressive and unfriendly

This is my favourite pub in Whitchurch when I visit. It's a proper no nonsense pub with a good selection of excellent beers

Popped in on passing with a stag party. It's a compact place but had a friendly atmosphere. I got the "local" vibe yet people recognise you as an out of towner and made a point to have a chat. Real pulled ales which is always a winner and an outside area. Very, very busy, but you don't mind when the custom is friendly. Worth a nosey!

Being a regular customer for many years . Have recently noticed a change for the worse. The royal oak was a place to relax with many regular faces but due to it being taken over by another brewery which lowered the prices so encouraging a different clientel . Of which many problems have occurred relating to police being called far to often .What used to be a lovely pub is now a place to be avoided after 8pm

Traditional pub not spoilt by the big brand approach taken by most public houses these days. Bar staff are always friendly and being amongst local faces when you're having a few drinks with friends is what visiting a pub is about for me. Can't fault the place.

Keeping live music going at the oak every friday night,i i live in whitchurch and its the only place to go for sky sports and reasonably priced beer,the staff are great and it also has a beer garden

Terrible. Refused to let people in under 25. The law of the land states that you are legal to drink at 18 years old

I was denied access because I was under the age of 25. Last time I checked 18 was the legal age of adults. I work hard, pay taxes and could even enlist in the army yet for some reason I can't have a drink in this pub. I have no idea why.

Absolutely loved this place. It's the type of pub that I could happily have as a regular local . Really lovely atmosphere. Great music and very busy but easy to see why. Drinks are reasonably priced
