Was brought here by some family members. They served good food and adapted to our needs for milk and egg allergies. Pleasant staff who took good care of us. Recommended.

Excellent experience overall, ribeye steak melted in the mouth and the fries were especially nice. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Flavours were great but tortellini a little hard for my liking some people may prefer it like this tho. Whitebait was exceptional.

We booked early (it did get busy later). Staff were very friendly and we were shown to our table which had views of the small river running along side of the pub. A member of staff took our drinks /food order. The Sunday Lunch was epic. Very generous portions, well cooked and presented. The Roast pork was tender and melt in the mouth. When the plates arrived they were brimming over with roast meat, potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and parsnips, and then they came with a dish of vegetables for us too. Almost too much, make sure you are hungry. Definitely recommend eating here and worth booking.

Didn't have food so can't judge

We were a family party of 7 and we were given a lovely room all to our self’s, we were even allowed to bring our dog. She was made to feel most welcome and the lovely waitress, Elizebeth brought her a welcoming bowl of water. The service was amazing, efficient, quick, welcoming and friendly. The food is extremely tasty and well presented, some lovely dishes and a choice for all from fussy, from young and old. The dishes were large and extremely good value, loved the roast trio of meats. Must be one of the best roast dinners around. Must mention the barmen, Liam who was so accommodating with our drinks needs and the young waitress Sophie who was so friendly and helpful. In the words of Arnie - We will be back!

What has happened to usually good pub?! The bar staff are more interested in their mates sitting around. The pub absolutely stinks inside, everyone was sitting in the cold garden where it was fresh, they obviously have some kind of indoor plumbing issue. We won’t be back in a hurry.

Overall a fantastic cosy pub with excellent ambience and food! There are nice separate seating areas and 2 fireplaces as well as an outdoor seating area with heated booths. The food was absolutely delicious and piping hot. The service also was fantastic. Highly recommend to visit, and will definitely be back again for sure.

A brilliant roast dinner on a Sunday. Highly recommend the lamb, the roast potatoes are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Both kid and baby friendly.

At a time when as an ex pub group ops director I get bored with the usual same menus The Royal Oak stands apart. Inventive dishes, great offer bundling, delicious taste and friendly no surprises service.

First and foremost, this review is slightly misleading as this is generally an excellent pub with great staff and food. The atmosphere, especially at the weekends is also good. However.....I've been coming here for a few years now and I have to get this off my chest. For some reason, the landlord is very unwelcoming and very gruff unless it is people he knows well. Over the past few years I've been coming in, there's been little to no acknowledgement, and when there has been, it's just an 'alright'. Even when being served food I've had 'whst do you want then' and 'made your mind up yet'. Sometimes I still get blatantly ignored.....the staff are warm, welcoming and great at their jobs. The landlord could learn a thing or two from the people he employs and try to be a bit friendlier to customers other than his mates. I will continue to come here as I do like it. But every time I do, I feel I don't want to give him the business! One final note....his wife is not much better.

Great pub, good food, friendly staff

We booked the room for our AGM. The space was perfect for the meeting, we were 22 but the room could have taken 30 comfortably. The lunch afterwards was excellent, we'd preordered from a very extensive and reasonably priced menu and all the food arrived perfectly cooked, piping hot and at the same time. Everyone was delighted with the food and the service was fast, efficient and cheerful! We'll definitely be booking again for next year.

Always love the food even thou menu is very limited. The staff could put there mobile phones down and concentrate on the job. We waited about 15 mins for a waitress, at the end of the meal there was a surcharge which was fine we paid it in cash and was due about 12 pounds change and the waitress was rude enough to ask if we wanted the change? 12 pounds is a lot of money.

Highly recommend the Royal Oak! Great service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. We came for a large family get together and the staff made sure we had everything we needed throughout, really helpful and welcoming. We all had roast dinners and these were yummm! Hot, large, great flavours, crispy potatoes and great veg, all cooked to perfection. We spent time together after on the terrace, drinking into the early evening and found it a great little cosy spot too. Thank you Royal Oak, we will certainly be back

I booked for 2 and when my family found out I had to rebook for 7. They like me enjoy going there. The Food is good with reasonable time for service. The House wine is fantastic. Already planning my next visit

Stopped for a meal and drinks here. Nice place, friendly landlord and liked the Rugby World cup range of burgers. Good beer and soft drinks too

Lovely pub and was there for a good friend's wake. Very impressed with the food that was served and the actual ambiance of the place and its location was very nice. It used to be his local pub and would frequent it quite a lot. Overall a fitting place to hold such an event.

An absolute GEM!!! The Mead family runs this pub exactly how it should be and the service, selection, and atmosphere are always top notch. Whether you need a pint/cocktail or a meal (or both… definitely get both), you can’t go wrong. Stellar spot out in West London, certainly give them a try!

This is a lovely pub on the river, parking is a bit of a pain as there is no car park but you will find parking on one of the side roads with a bit of perseverance. The pub itself has a great setting and the look and feel is lovely. Our mains were great (Boar Burger and Pie), however our desert (apple crumble) wasn't good. We gave the staff some feedback on this and they happily refunded, even though we didn't ask which was a nice touch. I must echo what some other people have said on here, the staff do let it down slightly. They were all lovely, but whenever you approached the bar they were all congregated together, and/or on their mobile phones. Lovely pub, with a nice lay out also has a garden area near the water, I had the chicken pie, with mash and greens, which was really nice. The staff we're friendly and helpful, they also had some live music going on, which was great, and added to my good time there.

A lovely impromptu lunch The food was great, as was the service .The pub was quiet but the staff were attentive and there was a lunchtime or every day menu .Nothing was too much trouble Everyone enjoyed their food. I had fishcakes with an oat crunch to them and they were most delicious. I've been here for a drink before, but not to eat I'm happy to recommend it.

Style English pub location fabulous , light and airy, with lots of natural light, very spacious, and excellent customer service. Vegetarian alternatives It's also on the menu. Definitely I will came back with my friends

Some restaurants change over time, not always in a good way, but the Royal Oak is a constant we have come to rely on. This is a well-run, friendly pub restaurant that delivers high quality food and service at reasonable prices. We decided to sit in the bar area rather than the formal restaurant this time and nabbed a couple of seats by the lovely fire. We ordered our meals and drinks at the bar from the attentive and helpful bar staff and looked forward to our Friday lunch treat. Friday is always good for steak and this time was no exception. It was one of the best I have had in a good while. It was accompanied by a surprisingly good house red wine and followed by one of the best homemade apple pies ever which we shared. Well done Adrianne and your team.

Stylish pub diner on a little streaming Islworth. There is no negative with this pub. Great atmosphere, well trained staff with great food, at reasonable prices, but that's what you expect with a tenancy pub, unlike the managed version.

Very pleasant family and dog friendly pub with wonderful food. You do have to hunt for parking but the experience is well worth it.

A really nice pub / restaurant. Friendly staff and good food. My only criticisms would be the cocktails are not very nice, they taste like a pre bought mix, which is disappointing for the price. I would suggest that they remove the cocktails and keep their extensive gin and pub drinks list. They also have an incredible variety of ice cream, however they need to upgrade their basic flavours. I had the vanilla and it was disgusting, compared to my daughter’s Oreo and Malteser flavours. All in all I would definitely recommend this local and friendly pub.

Popped in on Saturday evening to have a few drinks having previously enjoyed drinking in this pub. The pub is run by teenagers who clearly don't want to be working. Service with a smile is not something they promote. Really nice open fire in the restaurant but no-one sitting in there. I didn't try the food so I can't comment. Given the pub was quiet for a Saturday evening, had to wait at the bar for staff to come and serve you (a bell to ring for assistance would have been handy). Avoid the cocktails which the staff clearly don't know how to make. A clear lack of Management at this pub which is a real shame.

Lovely pub by the river in Isleworth. They have a cozy inside setting and lovely outdoor sitting as well. Mostly visited by the locals. The pub is filled in match days and when there is live DJ. Nice selection of food and drinks. I tried the fish and chips. The staff are lovely.

Went today with 6 friends. We Had Christmas festive set menu the choices were good. The food was lovely & hot when it arrived and tasted delicious. The service was brilliant. The portions were good and overall very enjoyable time had by us all and Excellent value too. 🥳

Rugby loving pub for rugby lovers. Essential prematch venue. Also good for post Twickenham drinking. Also serves pub grub. Not sophisticated or pretentious, but very good for rugby fans. Exactly what you want, in other words.

We've only been here for drinks and nibbles. Good prices and lots of choice. Fast, friendly service too. The food looks great so we'll be back one Sunday for a roast. They have a quiz night too that looks fun. Expect crowds on rugby days.

This is a great venue, hidden away from the beat and track. I like coming here for a roast dinner on a Sunday. In the winter they have an open fire which is very cozy. They also have some booths outside so you can sit near the river.

Nice roast on a Sunday. Would have got another star if chef wasn't so mean with roast potatoes! Three tiny spuds just isn't enough. You can buy more separately but it'll cost you and then you've got too many!
