Great venue for a pre show meal with the family. The service we received was excellent from start to finish and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Staff were super friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The bar is a hidden gem with a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Food was well presented, tasty and had a great selection for sharing. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is nearby. I will be visiting again very soon!!

Visited there today. I had a Guinness zero & got reeled in by their menu too. I had the croquettes & the boss burger. Out of this world. The burger was a nountain of deliciousness 💪👌 Highly recommend & would go again. Warm, cosy & vibrant. They even had a ukulele club on downstairs. The staffs service out did it all though. 10/10

Staff were lovely and really polite. We went for dinner before a show and it took 45 minutes from ordering food for it to arrive… perhaps it was because we were rushing for a show that it felt quite slow but in most restaurants you wouldn’t wait 45 minutes for your food to come out! Also the physical menu in the pub was not the exact same as the online order service when you’re there which is slightly annoying. However, when the food came it was lovely. Highly recommend the fish & chips and The Bali Burger!

I just called for a quick drink after an event, I found a good selection of beers, and basement with a performer. I will return to try the food at a later date.

Our night at this pub was great. Brilliant service and a great vibe from customers and staff. Especially the lady with the pink hair in the staff was just fantastic! She was on the ball.

Tucked away from the madness of Soho is this beautifully inviting queer-friendly pub. Food and drinks are good value for the area, and the burgers are lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it's not usually too busy early on in the day. Really recommend if you want to escape from the noise of the city for a bit.

Came here before a show and was blown away by the lovely staff, so accommodating and recommended some lovely food for us! Pub is on the smaller side but made homely with comfy sofas and colourful lighting. Being right next to TCR it’s perfect for a quieter spot away from the centre of Soho to put your feet up for a moment

This pub is delightful! Tucked away down a side street, it offers so much! A great food menu, wide-ranging drinks and superb service! Hannah made us feel so welcome and really went the extra mile to look after us! Great IPAs and other craft beers here :D

Been in many times before and after lockdowns, and the new management team of Leo and Starzi have completely revitalised the place. Such a warm atmosphere, great drinks range of craft beer (have seen non-alc and GF beers too), and love the LGBTQ+ flags around the pub.

Got ignored at the bar whilst the woman behind the bar was on her phone. I asked her twice if my boyfriend and I could order a couple of pints. When she finally responded it was that she was gonna serve someone who'd arrived after and we had to wait. I went to complain to the manager someone called Leon I think and he told me the member of said we had been rude and refused to serve us. Seems to be the kind of venue where if you are part of the lgbtq+ community you are less than human if you are with your boyfriend. Well atleast by the managers responses.

My team at work had our Christmas party at the Royal George. The buffet was great, the area reserved for us was good, and the staff were all really nice and helpful. I'm glad this place has survived Crossrail - too many good Soho bars have been lost!

So happy to see this place open again, and with a very attractive new look! The new management team and staff were incredibly friendly and were greets at recommending drinks. Looking forward to coming here for after work drinks!

Just visiting the area around Tottenham Court Road and just by the off chance this caught my eye, so I thought I’ll pop in have a cheeky pint. Was greeted by lukas who served me with a warm welcome and also exceptional service. Highly recommend this place.

Stopped in here as it was close to theatres but kind of out of the way due to construction. We had the burgers with fries and corn. The burgers were absolutely huge and tasted great. The fries (chips) were also very good. Got really busy about 7 (Saturday). Definitely pub food but really hit the spot.

Set back from the hustle and bustle of Charing Cross Road, I found this unpretentious Pub, with 1970’s decor and music to match. .The blackboard advertised chicken wings, so I tried them, and they were good.

Popped in for the evening.The bar person in question clearly not very good at her job - didn’t have a clue who was next to the bar. If I’m doubt ask (it’s what I did as a bar person for the 5+ years I work as a bar man) - she didn’t.All I did was say excuse me we are next. I had to three times.i increased volume and intention as the music was loud and she seemed not to hear. Considering her final response I believe she chose to ignored me.When she finally turned around she scolded me and said I was being rude and continued to serve the people last to the bar.Awful Service.

Right next to the Cambridge theatre for the Matilda show. A few drinks before going in. Good beers and good service from the owner. Happy days.

Honestamente, si está buscando un gran lugar para ir a beber, vaya a The Royal George. El personal es muy amable y realmente te hará sentir como en casa. Comencé a ir a George hace unos años, ya que se recomendó como una gema oculta cerca de mi oficina. Tiene la ventaja de estar cerca de la estación pero no lleno de trajes de soho. Desde entonces hemos estado aquí con mucha frecuencia porque el personal y el ambiente son siempre fabulosos y acogedores. Tienen un gran calendario de eventos desde noches de ukelele hasta una gran noche de comedia gratis (martes), así como una buena discoteca los viernes y no puedo recomendar lo suficiente. Pub Londrino, com ambiente descontraído. Porção de nachos custou 9 libras, estava bem gostosa, o único problema é que não vinha guardanapo. Pints cerca de 4 ou 5 libras, como em todos os pubs que fui em Londres.

Excellent little pub, nicely buried away from the hustle and bustle of TCR. Staff are welcoming and the mac and cheese is heavenly. Need I say more?

If you're in central London and want a quiet eclectic spot with great beer, lovely staff and a bit of atmosphere look no further. Theres always something interesting going on in the evenings downstairs, they've got a great stand up night, theres a DJ on Fridays, once I was there and there was a panel discussing who was the better super hero Spiderman or The Flash (sorry can't remember who won!). Equally if you want a quiet drink and some tasty nachos with your mates you can tuck yourself at the back of the bar on a Sunday afternoon, they even have some board games.

Me detuve aquí con mi novio antes de tomar un tren de vuelta a casa y tengo que decir que el gerente (con los lentes que realmente se ve razonable y amigable) resultó ser sorprendentemente horrible e injusto. Ya me sirvió medio vaso de sidra de otro colega amable después de mostrar mi identificación y luego, cuando subí por segunda vez, el gerente puso a dos hombres frente a mí, aunque uno de ellos dijo: "Creo que esta mujer estaba esperando aquí". más tiempo "solo dijo" oh, está bien, no te preocupes "y luego colocó a otro chico frente a mí después de eso quien claramente vino después. Luego, cuando finalmente me atendió, me dijo que no aceptaría mi tarjeta de edad irlandesa (una forma válida de identificación) y me dijo que solo aceptaría una licencia de conducir o un pasaporte. Incluso aunque el letrero indique que se aceptan otras formas. Tengo 21 años y cuando dije que ya me habían servido, me dijo "bueno, soy el gerente, así que no importa y no lo acepto". ¡Siento sinceramente pena por su personal!

La zona alrededor de la estación de Tottenham Court Road es bastante agitado con la construcción y las habituales aglomeraciones, y estuve tentada de aquí por una señal que ofrece una agradable - sonar IPA. Sin esto, no habría conocido el pub estaba allí como la calle es casi embarcamos. Esto resultó ser una cosa buena, ya que resguarda el pub de todo el ruido.

Am here every Wednesday evening with the Ukulele Wednesday group. The staff are friendly, the beer is a good price (especially for central London) and there is good selection of non-alcoholic drinks (eg Karma Cola, Lemmy Lemonade) for when you feel like a lighter night. We love the Katsu fries and, although I haven't worked my way through the rest of the menu, some other regulars eat there every week.

I love this place to chill ! Good beers, and nice tapas ! Not too much full of people. The place is in Soho.

I really liked it here. I visited with some friends and we booked a table in advance. The food is very good and well priced, bar service is very quick and friendly, and its just a great pub with a really nice vibe.

Tried a quick pre-theatre visit with friends and with building works plus not actually in Charing Cross Road, it was not so easy to find. At 1.00pm the pub was deserted except for a friendly barman and cook. The Old Speckled Hen draught (£4.05) tasted of dirty pipes and was rather flat. Chenin Blanc 175ml glass (£4.70) out of a bottle was at least drinkable. Men had burgers Usual Beef (£7.00) and Katsu Chicken (£8.50) with standard fries (£2.90) and a portion of Dirty Sanchez (£4.50) plus water for the "special" price of £9.00 each. This was not great food but at least we are still alive without food poisoning. Our ladies enjoyed the Avocado Cup (£9.00) which was a chopped and dressed mix of avocado, pepper, red onion, chilli in cleaned out avocado skins so was attractively presented and good to eat. We left at 2.15pm and no one else had entered the pub even for a quick pint. Says it all.

If you fancy playing ukulele, come here Wednesday nights for a cracking good time. Every Wednesday there's a ukulele jam session and all are welcome - players and non-players alike. Great fun!

Encuentre con amigos como su hija es la cantante en una banda en esa noche, así que hizo un viaje especial de Uptown. Aparte de estar abarrotado, lo que implica que es un lugar muy popular, el servicio en el bar era buena, el personal es amable. Hay una buena variedad de cervezas, así como cosas que es malísima, y el pollo lager hamburguesa con salsa de curry fue excelente, ya eran las patatas fritas. La animación era gratis y muy bueno.

Lovely staff here and the chicken is an absolute winner. It's got interesting décor and brilliant themed evenings.

I reach this pub just by casualty. It is nice place to get some food and drink a beer. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is really nice. I totally recommend it!

I came here back in November when my family was visiting London for a weekend. After a day of shopping at Oxford Street, we came here as it's conveniently located between Oxford Street (Tottenham Court Road Station) and Leicester Square. We came here around 8pm on a Sunday night, and wanted to order the Sunday special, which was already sold out, so we went for steaks and burgers. The food was as expected, nothing special - just the usual pub food.

Have been here a number of times and the food has always been great and good value. Drinks a little on the pricey side but fairly typical for London. Always fairly busy but has a nice atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and have warned us if there will be a long wait for food. One of my first choices when in the area.

Do not order lunch here.With only one cook in the kitchen unless you're the first order in you'll be waiting at least 40 minutes.And the staff only tell SOME people that there will be a wait. The rest of us they were happy to take money from without any warning.I waited exactly 41 minutes for a mediocre meal that cost twice what it was worth (at least). My friend had to wait OVER an hour for his food - he ordered exactly 3 minutes after me.There was no management of our expectations. No compensation offered. And barely an apology.What an utter scam.

The cocktails here are far too expensive for a place nestled behind scaffolding and feet away from one of the best clubs in London. Though I suppose their clientele must come from G-A-Y Late's too-late comers and those who don't want to queue for ages. In which case, it's a very smart business model. The staff were very friendly and we were able to banter with them.

Great pub serving great food. I'm in there every time I go to Euston station - it's a 2 minute walk. Lovely real ales and you can also sit outside if it's nice weather or you fancy a smoke.

I imagine that once the Crossrail building works are completed there will be very few characterful gems in the area. This however will be one. Very good IPA selection on tap along with attentive and happy staff made for a jolly hour.Dog friendly on my Saturday afternoon visit...and the barman chased me down the street to return my bag of books.Top Hostelry.

A group of us met up here on a Friday night, before a gig. We had a couple of pleasant drinks and decided to return after the gig.The pub was surprisingly good. It was not very busy, particularly considering the location, and it had a nice selection of beers.The problems came when one of our group was using the toilets downstairs. He was rudely and wrongly accused by the Bar Manager of taking cocaine. When another of our group explained that the Bar Manager was mistaken the Manager then accused him of taking cocaine too with the justification, 'I can tell from your eyes'.Suffice to say, we didn't really fancy staying after that. So we finished our drinks outside and while chatting to another group we found out that this wasn't the first time this Bar Manager has behaved in this way. The group told us that he's also wrongly accused two of their associates of the same.A real shame because it's a good pub to which I would've returned. But the Manager's appalling attitude and incredible rudeness means that I would steer clear of here unless you fancy someone accusing you of taking drugs.

My partner and I took our little dog for a night in London. We thought we may have problems trying to find dog-friendly pubs in town. However, this is a great little find. They could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We just went for drinks but the food looks really good.

At the moment with all the cross rail works going on you could blink and miss this place but once you walk down the narrow alleyway constrained by the hoardings you could be in for a nice surprise. The beer is not cheap mind but on a Friday there is a DJ there and the atmosphere is good. Saturday nights don't tend to be as busy but there is still a good time to be had.

We went here first because it was convenient for the theatre, but we went back because it was so good. Not fine dining and looks a bit of a dive, but looks are deceptive. If you want, what I consider, to be the best American-style diner food I have eaten in the UK. The burger with pulled pork or the cheese and avocado are excellent, but no matter what you have, you have to have the deep fried pickles. Far better than you might think from the sound of it. A taste explosion I have never bettered.

Needed a pub to watch football - very close to Euston Station, good food, friendly crowd and good service - ate there several times, never a bad meal - lots of screens to watch the action on and not as rowdy as some other sports pubs around the area.

Visited yesterday with all the family in a group of 8 - service was decent, food was fairly good pub-grub - location was good, would visit again!

The Royal George is situated in a key location opposite the towering Centre Point office block just off the busy Charing Cross Road. On a recent day trip to London's west end, entirely organised by our family to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary, my wife and I visited the pub where we first met at the bar 30 years ago. Having enjoyed a theatre play in the afternoon we walked along Charing Cross Road to pop in and have a quick drink before going on to dine at a nearby restaurant. Once comfortably seated within the softly furnished area to the rear of the bar, we enjoyed our drinks and background music playlist glancing at the impressive pub menu and immediately decided to stay the evening. It was a great decision, the food was truly excellent, my wife enjoyed the choice of three starters and I enjoyed home produced fish fried fingers & dip starter following by the succulent chicken half with salad, fries and a tasty sauce dip boat. Having travelled around the world, the bar reminded us of the laid back comfortable bars in the U.S, as, once in situ you won't want to leave these cosy surroundings. So when visiting the west end, this pub is worth finding, literally, as it currently sits behind the new cross rail station building works, to enjoy a great selection of draft beers and cool wines served by attentive friendly bar staff, and in addition, as my wife and I were delighted to enjoy, a very tasty menu. We definitely won't leave it 30 years for our next visit to The Royal George and we are already planning other visits to meet up with old friends there this year!

Very nice beer selection including a number of Belgium beers. The Monday deal of 2 burgers and 2 beers for £20 is a nice deal. Any burgers on the menu are included.
