This pub is tucked away down a little back street, talk about a hidden gem ! Staff are outstanding, really good vibe going on there. The Sunday roast is better than most, Peroni was cold and fizzy, what more can you ask for? No sports on tv, but I actually think it's better when I'm catching up with people instead of getting distracted. Nice place to eat and drink , staff and fellow drinkers are all chilled out and friendly. It's well worth taking the time to find the Rose, proper little London pub.

It’s a nice pub. Drinks are expensive and on busy days they are often reliant on younger bar staff who can be a bit slow, but if you’re there for a relaxed time it’s great. Nice food, good beer selection (spirits are a mixed bag but if you’re into gins they have a few) and a great spot on the edge of South Ealing / Northfields. I went here yesterday at 4.15pm and I was really disappointed. Just to add I have been here on several occasions in the past too. So anyway we arrived for 4.15pm and booked a tablet in advance. Someone just pointed to our table, so we just went and sat down. I then went to the bar and ordered one roast norfolk chicken, one beef, 1 pint of london ale and 1 gin with blood orange soda. That came to 64. something. How can that be? Norfolk Chicken is 19.00 and Beef is £24.00 so that comes to 43.00 before any drinks. How can it be an additional 21 something for 1 pint of london ale and a gin and tonic. The bar lady didn't ask me what I wanted if single or double either and she just poured whatever in. Then proceeded to chat to her mate in a foreign language and and put my beer right down on the counter next to his, literally touching, so I then had to say, sorry which drink is mine. I wasn't offered a receipt and just went and sat back down but I looked at the till and I should have been given my receipt. Only after I left did I think that is so expensive for those drinks. We then went to the table someone brought over the cutlery and then after about 15 mins the food came. I am sorry the food isn't up to par for what you charge at all! My chicken had veg that was hard, it was halve cooked. At no point did anyone come over and ask how the meal was, did we need anything else, but they did for the table opposite us and anyone else who sat down and they even had someone coming over every 15 mins asking if they wanted anymore drinks. So when you go here, ask the price of the drinks and get a receipt. For what we paid and what we got it wasn't up to scratch. I have been here on several occasions before too and the service is always way better, the food can't be questioned and the staff are way friendlier and just on the ball too.

An Ealing classic with a great outdoor space. As with all Fullers the drinks are a bit pricy though and it was a shame that someone in a Fullers t-shirt let their two dogs off lead to wander round the garden. Not ideal having dogs just randomly wandering round and running, especially if they presumably belongs to someone who runs the pub. The food looked expensive too at nearly £20 for a roast. You can get a great Sunday roast at Old Deer Park for south of £15, so I’d not touch it to be honest.

We walked into this pub at 6pm yesterday, in a group of 8 of us having come from a picnic. From the moment we walked in, the man working took a very plain and obvious issue with us. We had some crisps out on our table left over from our picnic, and he came over to say "We don't approve of people bringing food from outside in", which is absolutely fair enough but it was expressed extremely rudely and he did not give us an opportunity to apologise or rectify this, simply walked off. When my friend asked for a food menu, this same man said 'They're inside' then turned around and left. We were made to feel so incredibly unwelcome throughout our experience; bare in mind we spent easily £30 each so they made hundreds of pounds off us, none of us were visibly intoxicated having come from a very innocent picnic, and we were then asked to leave the establishment and told we would not be served anymore. My friend went to the bathroom and overheard the barstaff whispering (!) about us in a disparaging tone. All in all, we were so incredibly uncomfortable and hurt at this point we wanted to leave anyway. Our group consisted of one pregnant woman, two people with neurodivergencies including autism, and none of us were behaving indecently or intoxicated by any means. We feel discriminated against and deeply confused about the prejudice we experienced, especially since we used to come to this pub all the time when it was under the previous owners who were lovely. None of us will ever go back and we will be sharing our experience widely to make sure nobody else is put through such a humiliating ordeal. I went to the manager to ask why we were being told to leave, and she gave a shpeel about 'duty of care under Fullers brewery' for nobody to be too intoxicated that she had served. This was entirely ridiculous as we had been served about 3 drinks each at this point. I will re-iterate, nobody was drunk, but these staff accused us of 'acting weirdly' and wouldn't say who specifically was at fault, which again, is highly immoral discrimination potentially against those of us on the spectrum. All in all, a really unfriendly, weird, and poor quality experience. Staff seemed actively resentful for having to do their jobs and serve anything at all. Manager incompetent, staff nasty, never again.

Three of us had the pork belly from the xmas menu. The pork belly was a hard rubbery, chewy square topped off with skin that was very hard to cut and impossible to eat, a bit like eating a thick rubber band. We struggled to eat it and gave up. The two pieces of wilted and crispy chard were odd, there was what one of us thought was a small beef burger and possibly some tinned apple. Now we aren't chefs but I for one can make a very nice pork belly. The pork should be succulent and melting, cooked in cider or calvados, topped with a crispy crackling that crunches as you eat it and should be the best part of pork belly. The roast potatoes were ok but not as golden and crispy and floury inside as they should be. We had to ask for more veg. A pork belly meal costs me about £1.50 using M and S outdoor reared pork and loads of veg including cauliflower cheese. At wholsale prices this would have cost the pub well under £1 per meal. Someone had the mac and cheese, the only veg option which looked like a huge unappetising stoggy dollop which he gamely struggled through. Again we could have all cooked and presented it far better. The waiter/owner asked if we enjoyed the meal and I said no and he said why? So I explained as above. He said he'd speak to the chef which we thought unbelievable, passing the blame, couldn't he see when he put the plates on the table how poor it was? With the starter the meal cost me £27.95, I didn't want to pay it but did, you have to don't you, otherwise there's a disagreement and the whole evening ends as a bad memory.

It was cold, sweet and no sides with it. My dessert was not available when I arrived and I had to take a scoop of ice-cream instead. A bowl of sweet pasta and a scoop of icecream for 31 pounds is a rip off to say the least, and this does not include drinks. When I asked for a glass of water I was directed towards to common jug and self help. It was bad experience.

Stopped here on Saturday for Full English Breakfast. Was beautifully cooked and presented. Very nice cup of English tea. Nice service. Would easily stop here again.
