A very pleasing experience! My friend and I visited for lunch for the second time in a month and our experience was just as good as the first time. The atmosphere is good, as is the food and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We were served by Attalia and Keeley who were very pleasant and so helpful. Their attention to detail is a great encouragement for return visits. Highly recommended all round. Thank you.

Hi .I'm back again.just been to this pub restaurant.and I can honestly say. this place for a meal .its by far the best I ve ever been to ..amazingly wonderful. Staff can.t do enough for you I've been a few times now. so now my wife jane and me are going to make this our local.and we live 8 miles away in brierley hill. If you are local and you havent been.please go and try. they cater for all diets.. remember it's the rose and crown. and the 2 beautiful young ladies will look after you. by for now .but werer back next week

Delicious meals at affordable prices,staff always welcoming.Tal and Keely the managers are so welcoming I have no hesitation in dining there on my own, cheaper than buying ingredients and cooking for one. 100% recommend this establishment.

Needs more than 5*, the food was absolutely phenomenal. Ordered the sizzling chicken tikka with fries and it was out of this world tastey, I came with my veggie phobe sister who eats like a 2 year old (she's 40) she had the same as me and cleared her skillet. We Ordered the mini desert and hot drink, the mini profiteroles were amazing with a mocca and cheeky baylis to add the extra something. I wonder if the chef is taking applications for a wife lol.

Not a great experience at all at this pub tonight - half our order was missing when it arrived, one person serving at the bar despite it being very busy with the manager just ignoring the queue, who was then rude when he did finally serve us later on that night, then to top it off we were asked to leave at 9:10 pm as it was closing - we used this pub last June and it was much better then

Popped in for a quick drink on my way past. Lots on offer and very fast service. Team and manager were friendly and attentative despite always doing something else when I needed help.

I came in yesterday for my first meal out since lockdown ended and couldnt be more impressed! My table was booked at 7:15 and right from the get go staff had everything organised and running smooth.Jake greeted us, explained the track and trace system and seated us swiftly.Our food and drinks orders were taken swifty and our food arrived not long afterwards even though it was busy!The food was of high quality (as usual) and staff were on hand when needed!I noticed that there was a table who were being very difficult and complaining that they wanted their meal free because of stupid things - the way that this was dealt with was much better than i would have as the woman was rude and arrogant!I cant thank Jake and the team enough for their efforts yesterday especially as i was anxious coming out for the first time in a year!We will be returning soon! X

We phoned and booked for Sunday (late) lunch we were a large group from different households, the staff booked us on separate tables but close together which was obviously social distanced. We only booked on the day too, very accommodating. Everyone wore their masks and sanitised hands etc, the pub was kept clean. The food was tasty and great value. All staff members were welcoming, friendly and very useful. Asking if we needed help with the apps etc. No concerns whats so ever! Thank you everyone. We will be back

they only pour 20ml shots and my 'mojito' looked like this. i dont think i need to say anymore. staff were rude and the table looked like it was from a btec chiquiots which if was a real thing would be called "cheatquitos" because they cheat you of your money

Went for a meal after not going for a few months. The service was very good. The social distancing measures in place were very good. The most organised place we have visited during these times. The food was nice Thank you

Was great to visit a restaurant where all staff are clearly efficient in practising and enforcing Covid rules and regs outlined by the government. Kids love eating still (so do I when it’s only £1 ) so I’m glad we have a local on our doorstep that is still open regularly creating a family atmosphere during these weird and chaotic times. We will be back next week Highly recommended!

I can understand people are stressed during these times..however this does not excuse the way mangers van spec to families with such disrespect and disregard.Telling a 4 year old to sit down in their chair because of rules is understandable but the problem is,.....tell the 12 adults that are hugging and kissing first!Oh well covid19 is here...but not any manners.Do not come here if you want a meal and good service.....management absolutely shocking

This is a fairly standard chain pub, food was of a reasonable quality for the money. Staff were friendly, but I did not feel it was quite as clean as it could have been, particularly in the toilets.

Great pub with all the usual premium beers and spirits. Food menu is good for a corporate pub. The new nachos are too die for, real pastry, they are thoroughly recommended.The team at the Rose and Crown are real gems, lovely bunch of guys, always there with a smile and welcoming. Me and my boyfriend went into the rose and crown this evening very last minute thing, we did wait a while for the food but we had an apology for this due to being short staff in the kitchen. The food was lovely when it arrived, the manager even allowed me to have a pudding after the kitchen had closed. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. A bonus was the 50% off so very cheap and tasty. Thanks to all the team for a pleasant evening.

Went here today for dinner to meet up with work friends ( eventhough being told it wasnt a good experience last time my friends daughters came but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. They guy who served us was nice and friendly. We ordered our food to then be told 1. We don't do skillets anymore, this should have been said when I ordered 2. There was no ketchup or mayo. I had ordered chips and was not impressed. I had to get a tub of ketchup from out of my car and slather it onto my food. We went to order dessert and the kitchen was closed. It would have been nice if staff had told us they were closing kitchen so we could have ordered dessert if we wanted to as there werent many dining in. Overall experience wasnt ad expected. Dont think I will be visiting this establishment again.

Just been in this pub for a drink on the way home with my family and as soon as we entered the rude lady behind the bar says NO Food And No Kids before we could even ask her!!! Will not be visiting again!!!

Fab place to eat and drink, great food, with a variety of different and unique food. Great place for drinks too relax and chill but also a place to hang out with your friends.

Went for lunch today,with my wife,daughter,and 2 grandchildren,all of us had different meals,the food was superb,all plates cleared .The Doombar Ale,was well kept and excellent. A great place to dine, with a substantial menu. Would highly recomend.

Came here for a family meal with my family having heard a lot about the place. Pleasantly surprised as was not too happy when we came a few years back. Opinion has certainly changed. Props to the chefs.

Went for a midweek early evening meal with the wife. Clearly a popular venue as it was already busy by 6.15. Very pleasant staff, your select your meals, order and pay at the bar. Decent food, reasonably priced and tasty. No complaints at all, would have problem in going again or suggesting it to friends. Not cordon bleu, but good filling food at good prices.

A family meal on Boxing Day turned into a disaster. 14 family members had prebooked meals but various options were unavailable or not even logged in. After waiting for 1 and a half hours with 6 hungry ( but very patient and well behaved ) toddlers, we finally got the starters. Some starters had been taken to, and consumed by other customers. No sign of the management to apologize or any suggestion of compensation. We decided to cut our losses and leave after sitting waiting for so long ... also being told that we wouldn't be refunded our deposits. The meal had been meant to be particularly special, after a family bereavement....Unfortunately the terrible service and attude by staff all added to our sadness. Understaffed and no sign of management !

A pub that has now become more of a restaurant. Tried to order food and told there would be an hour wait. That's just unacceptable. One person working behind the bar more worried about upsetting the kitchen staff than serving customers.

We popped in for Sunday lunch as we busy and wanted a quick meal. The beer was okay, but the service was very slow and it wasn't that busy. The food was cheap but, unfortunately, was quite poor.

Lovely meal yet again! The torpedo prawns are amazing and the new chicken platter is awesome! The manager is really friendly and always up for a chat if she’s not too busy

Visited in a Saturday evening for tea with family and friends, having been recently and had a great experience....but not tonight!!

We went twice! Each time loud music being played, screaming children out of control. Drinks more expensive than competitor over the road. Plus I was over charged on each occasion. So, not going back.

We booked a table for 34 for a family celebration - and pre ordered our meals prior.

We live locally so have visted frequently and had the odd niggle but have generally found the pub good value with decent staff. It was a shame this wasnt the case on this occasion.

Had a flaming chicken stack. Very hot last thing you want in July. But it was so tasty . Chicken was delicious. The wife had BBQ chicken burger. Delicious swopped her chip for cheeses chips. Both burgers were tasty and moist. Not over cooked and dry like some places. Staff was really nice and friendly.

Me and a friend visted The Rose and Crown today and both chose to have the classic mixed grill. We ordered food at the bar and the service was speedy and professional which is always a good start, after about 20-25 minutes the food arrived at our table sizzling as guaranteed! Can't fault steaks they were cooked to perfection just as we ordered them and the rest of the meal was amazing aswell, i would highly reccommend this pub to anyone who is after good food at a reasonable price.

literally every time we come here theres over half hour wait for food no matter how busy or quiet it is.i dont understand what takes so long.wouldnt return if wasnt so cheap and local they need to work on quicker service.food is really good though and alot of variety.

We visited here for a family meal for Father’s Day. There were 7 of us. Our meal was booked for 1.45 and the room was half full when we arrived. We ordered quickly at the bar, got drinks, then waited and waited and waited. After 45 minutes we asked what the problem was and were assured food would not be long. We waited another 20 minutes until our meals finally arrived, in drips and drabs. Two of us had half finished when the final two meals came.

Following a recent family loss I spent a week trying to get my father out of the house. I checked on the Rose and Crown website and saw that they did a breakfast from 10am. Dad finally agreed to come and we arrived at 11am. The entrance doors were locked. As I was getting back in the car a side door opened and a lady called us in, through the side door. I asked why the website said 10am and she told me that they had a problem in the kitchen. We found a table and wait for someone to appear behind the bar. Finally, I went to order. I drink cider. Unfortunately they only had strongbow on draught. Any true cider drinker will tell you that strongbow is not a proper cider. They had bottles of Mout. Great if you like spending lots of money on pineapple flavour or other weird not cider cider. After explaining my disappointment at the lack of ciders I heard the barstaff walk into the kitchen and shout 'he is moaning about the cider now' We ordered 4 breakfasts. They were not very warm. The toast was warm bread. The bacon was cooked on one side only and the reverse side has raw jelly like fat. I have enclosed pictures. I cannot explain how disappointed I am with the whole visit. My advice is avoid. I just wish I had read the reviews first

10 of us came in for breakfast this morning having always enjoyed slizzing brands we thought we’d have a good breakfast well we was wrong staff where good but the breakfast was poor having ordered a couple of hot drinks to then be told there was no milk ( shop across the rd if delivery was late ) but hey ho then no mushrooms or tomatoes for the breakfast knowing which “district “ they are in I was informed that there delivery was the day before but like the milk you no there’s parts of the breakfast missing go to Tesco express which is across the rd didn’t enjoy the breakfast at all will go to the slizzling ones we no next time

My partner and I visited this pub as we have many times before and ordered the three for £10 sharer. What we were served was ridiculously poor. 3 chicken nuggets, 5 chicken wings and dried up potato skins. The dips we were served were poor and minuscule. Very disappointed and unfortunately will have to consider if we would choose to return. Most disappointing and no one even asked if we enjoyed our meal as I would have been more than happy to share my feelings.

My partner and I go each week for a meal at the Rose and crown and always enjoy our food. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They already come and ask us if everything is ok with our food. We drink in a sizzling pub close by but choose to eat at the Rose and crown as the food and service is so much better there.

We have been eating at the Rose and Crown for years and having moved recently into the local area decided to give the Thursday night quiz a go and at the same time enjoy a meal there.

Was here yesterday, ordered some food and a drink from a staff member called Simon, very friendly chap who recommended what food to have etc excellent choice. Checked if everything was with my meal, great service Simon would Defo come back

We are able to access many of the pubs in the area and we we prefer to use the Rose and Crown Crown. Staff are extremely keen to help and are very welcoming. It has a warm friendly homely atmosphere, they cater for many taste buds even cater for vegans. Have never. Had to send a meal back, staff are always professional and smartly dressed service is very fast. Outside is always maintained well and even though its on a main road it's enjoyable to sit outside in the sun with a reasonably priced pint (you don't even notice the traffic). Please don't miss out on enjoying the atmosphere in this friendly place looking forward to the peaky peaky blinders party Saturday night organised by jake

2nd visit in 4-6 wks to the rose and crown and will be our last!

Booked a table and told on phone that food was only being served until half past eight tonight. So booked the table for half seven. Turns up ready to order food to be told that food was only being served until 8 o'clock and as it was now quarter to eight (actually it was twenty to eight!) So we wouldn't be able to order as food was finishing at 8 tonight! So as it's not 8 why can't we order? even though we were told half eight in the first place!!!! Well apparently there's a 45 minute wait on food (they always say that!) So we aren't allowed to order!! Disgusting service - in that case they should be telling customers that the kitchen finishes serving food at 7! An hour before. This pub needs to sort itself out. Don't waste your time in here - they never ever get things right for customers!

On arrival, we were told it was a 40 min wait for food.

Overall good value for money. It was a slightly strange start. We were told at the bar that it was 45 minutes to an hour waiting time for food . As we already booked, I thought that we may as well wait, but did consider going . However, the food only took about 20 minutes so it was not an issue. The desert took about 10 minutes.

Don’t waste your time or money eating in this pub .Went in here tonight for a meal with 3 other family members we had 3 terrible meals cold lasagne in a pot which was bearly a third full think they’d made it with gravy and chicken kebabs think they were cooked last weekend and then reheated every day this week and as for the salad served with them well if a bit of soggy lettuce a sliver of red pepper and a slice of tomato is a salad well god help you if you’re a vegetarian

We reserved for a party of 15, following my grandfathers funeral. Jake took our booking and also looked after us on the day. I cannot recommend the restaurant and the staff enough. At a very difficult time, we were superbly looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Commendation to the kitchen staff who delivered all our meals, accurately, hot and delicious within 15-20 minutes. Jake was very thoughtful and a credit to the company. Thank you all so much

Went a couple of days ago on Friday evening and took advantage of the two meals for £9 offer that the Rose and Crown does.

I come to the rose and crown quite regularly for the Heineken as not many other places serve this beer in my area, on this visit I stood in the que for 15 minuits to get a drink only to be greeted by a moody guy with a Bad attitude his name was Jake, no smile no hello rude unatentive and ignorant, this place has certainly improved over the last year minus the misrebble staff I really think this place could improve there service with some customer service training as the floor team also look very drained and unhappy while working I hope the owners read this and take this constructive criticism in the right way, other than that great place good bear and a nice mix of people

Visited here on Valentines day for my parents 66th Anniversary. The place has recently been renovated and redecorated and is much nicer than the last time we visited. We were given a warm welcome. My parents chose the cod and chips which were cooked just right. I had the chicken with stilton sauce and my husband the half a roast chicken, both excellent meals. We had a very pleasant couple of hours there and really looking forward to going back, especially when the weather is warm enough to sit outside as there is now a lovely seating area.

Jake out server was fabulous, so kind and caring towards our large family outing for my cousins 21st birthday. The food came out quickly and tasting lovely. Jake brought out the cake singing happy birthday, then gifted her with a bottle of Prosecco what gesture... will definitely be back here, thank you.

Love this place and always had nice meals but today was not good. I ordered the crispy chilli beef it was like there was no meat in it just burnt batter or something. I told bar lady who said the chain of pubs which this one belongs too, has had numerous complaints about the crispy beef there receiving in frozen packets I may add, yet they Still continue to serve this rubbish. No offer of refund despite her knowing I couldn't eat mine. Must say all other meals were fine so given 2 stars for them as mine outweighed the good. I will try again as I really like it here normally just very disappointed in the way she dealt with it plus the meal itself. Also hardly any desserts available and 40 mins wait on the food yet hardly anyone in there

My husband and I popped in for a quick bite to eat after work. First time visit. The food was lovely and we didn’t wait long at all. Nice range of drinks. Staff friendly and efficient. Really nice relaxed atmosphere, would definitely return.

This was my first visit to the rose and crown and i was so impressed!. The food and drinks were decent prices! The staff were friendly and constantly smiling. Our food didn't take long at all. Staff were lovely. Visited with my family. My mum ordered a steak and said it was 'cooked to perfection' i had a burger with curky fries and it qas very tasty and filling. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly pub.

apparently they had new manager and she was so arrogant and very high headed was not ready to listen anything when i put my concern she said i don't care and ask me to leave without even listening to me. refused to give me her name when i asked complaint form and her area manager's name she rudely said go away

The food was amazing and came out quicker then expected as they told me when ordering there was a wait, I had the steak and chicken combo and the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted, I would highly recommend this establishment to friends as family!
