The Rocket Pub & Kitchen in Liverpool

We were here for a friend's birthday and everything was perfect. I had the lamb shank, chips, gravy and mushy peas and it was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection and the flavour was delicious. This was followed by apple pie and ice-cream, again delicious. Definitely very talented chefs. The staff were really efficient, delivering everything to perfect temperature. Nothing was too much trouble and we were offered more gravy. I can't recommend this place enough. I'll definitely be back with my family. Thanks everyone for a lovely experience. Also it's decorated for Easter and the decorations are beautiful.

Came here for the first time on Friday evening for a meal with our daughter, two of our grandchildren, and future son in law. My wife and I have been to a lot of pubs and hotels for meals in recent years but never been served food as nice as this place and so hot, we had chicken wing's starter's and steak with the best chips we've had in a long time. We are going back back again soon and so looking forward to it.

Had a lovely meal and a few drinks. Reasonably priced as always.

Came here with my whole family for a meal struggled to get a seat for 8 of us. Finally got a suitable table ordered drinks and food only to be told we have to move as they ‘forgot’ it was booked out. Came into another room which was absolutely heaving, squeezed into a space with my family only to have the staff keep banging into us every time he passed. There was lots of other seating but you can’t eat off a table that’s only knee high. What an absolute joke! No apology for messing us around nothing. This place does not cater for large groups but you’ll be ok if you want to put your feet up cos that’s all the tables are good for. Everyone is squashed like sardines in a tin! Won’t be going there ever again. Avoid avoid.

Really good value food which is served promptly. The menu has a good range of choices... I had the 6oz burger with added cheese and bacon, which was really reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly and helpful despite it being really busy.

Nice chilled pub lovely staff, wasn’t over impressed with amount I was served on meal for £11-12 but it was lovely, ordered lamb shank which came with a small amount of mash and gravy, a little veg and mint sauce would of been nice and earned another star.

Really great place to go we booked for a party of 20 people for a 30th birthday staff went above and beyond food was spot on and all reasonable priced to we will definitely be calling again thank you for the pleasant visit

Solid food, especially for pub food. I had the Sunday Roast which had many options of meats and vegetables. Evenly price matched to other pub options but can get a bit pricey on the burgers. The beer garden was a nice touch although it was close off that day. Great bar and staff that was inviting to the average drinker or to a family. I’d rate it a 9/10

There last, pick your favourites and you will be fine, I had the salt and pepper sharer as a main meal, lovely, good lady had the chicken wrap type meal also lovely, great service

Booked and paid for a function only to be told they don’t want children at the place (in the day) then when I went to collect my money the place looked like it needed a good clean anyhow and an update.

Really nice pub friendly staff excellent menu value for money , daughter and youngest granddaughter had a roast dinner, oldest granddaughter and me had a shearing platter no one could fault the food. Will definitely be going back 👍👍.

Love this place. It doesn't have great decor or anything but it is homely and comfortable. Had Sunday roast today. Meats were so tasty and succulent. Loads of.veg options and Toasties and mash. With loads of gravy. Our favourite place for a roast Service really friendly. Gutted they have taken moretti out but Cruzcampo ok. Great value. Give it a go.

Recently attended a private function here, the staff were lovely and food was excellent.

Have not been in the rocket for a good few years I didn't think it was very nice. But today totally refurbished & lovely staff very impressed

Food was cold fish was burnt so was the onion rings the chef was more bothered about putting the Christmas decorations up than cooking food

Brilliant food not greasy ideal for pensioners upto 4 o'clock. Value for money even the toilets were very clean. I do slimming world and would go back without hesitation the owners and staff were absolutely fantastic I would rate this out of 100 plus 100

Im here in trying circumstances 250 miles from home…great pub…ive spent my entire life going to pubs and clubs..i highly recommend this place..awesome..they only thing it lacks is a pool table..but its a huge thumbs up from me👍👍👍👍👍👍

On arrival we found no staff at the bar realising that the other side was busy we moved around to get some drinks and order lunch , unfortunately that's this was a after funeral we had intruder on , were snapped at by a member of staff ( this is a private ) I immediately apologise to a member of the family, and returned to the bar that now had 2 members staff we ordered 2 drinks & and got out of there as quickly as possible , the car park looks like the local tip , no way will I ever set foot in that establishment again , to avoid the public straying into private family functions this area might need to be condemned off in future , Can I offer my sincere apologies for this intrusion & offer my sincere sympathy on there sad loss,

It's such a nice place to have a little snack and a beer. Had wonderful time among the great service they provided. Friendly staff. Prices are a lot cheaper compared to other places around. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Nice little warm up for a magnificent away UTFR

Just been for a meal. Yes that was good but.... wherever you sat there was very loud televisions showing football (not local matches). We couldn't talk as the sound was so loud. Left very quickly after our meal. Turnpike pub is heaven compared to this. Not relaxing at all. Sorry but we won't be back.

There were 10 of us and everyone enjoyed their food. Kid's menu was a decent price and size with a nice brownie and ice cream for desert.

Visited on the way to watch Liverpool hammer Bournemouth. 27/8/22 ! Just wanted some quick food and a beer before the match. Glad we stopped. Brilliant bar lady very helpful. Food was made quickly and tasted excellent! Pint was spot on. Give her a pay rise !! Brilliant pub !!

For the money it's pretty good and my vegetarian option exceeded expectations. Would come again

A very reasonably priced establishment. I'd even go as far as saying that it was cheap. The place does need a spruce up but if you haven't got the money in these uncertain times, you haven't got the money. Staff were pleasant and efficient. A large and varied menu that included a small selection of Chinese. There was even beef rib on it and you don't often see that on a pub food menu! We both ordered the beef rib with mash and although it didn't say gravy on the menu, the meals came out with a large gravy boat EACH. I was delighted. I love my gravy. Someone had recommended this place to my mate and I'd happily recommend it to you. I'm actually looking forward to going back and trying some their Chinese.

Lovely service, wonderful food, fantastic coffee.

Just called in for drink and snack followed by the toilet. Very friendly service and big portion of ice cream and chips flavoured with some spice and peppers, really first class all round.

Nice food for families, nice to visit in the warmer weather, a little beer garden outside. On a busy road so frustrating trying to exit if you drive and dont drink if you drive, remember that.
