Absolutely loved it, very quirky all very local ish but good vibes, friendly staff, free pool, outstanding views!vpizza are top notch made to order and stone baked In a wood fire oven! Definitely going back, so highly recommend but get in early to get a seat,as it gets really busy.

Staff got our order wrong and staff were then rude and derogatory. The food we did receive was of a poor quality. The interior of the pub is shabby and the front terrace is directly on a noisy main road making conversation difficult. There are much nicer pubs in the area which are friendlier and better value.

My partner and I called in for.takeaway food whilst out walking. The staff got our order wrong and were then rude when they were asked to fix it. The pub itself is grimy and unwelcoming. There is a much nicer pub half a mile down the road towards Uppermill. Next time we will continue walking

I'm a beer engineer, the cellar here is maintained very well, noticeably clean. The landlord understands how to serve beer and his selection is fabulous. Makes his own pizza's does a good job.

Really friendly landlord. Pub has a relaxed atmosphere and amazing views. We ordered about 20 pizzas for our Year 6 leavers, and they really looked after us. Pizzas are amazing! 10 / 10 👍🏼 Thank you 😊

Visited at 1330hrs today for a pint after a 14.5 mile hike and was extremely disappointed to find it was shut when it says its open at 1200hrs! Do the opening times need updating?

Unpretentious pub with grest beers, fabulous views, frienfly staff and tasty pizzas. The only negative for me is that people vape in the pub.

Had a few pints and a pizza a few weeks ago.all I can say is omg PIZZA was amazing Loverly friendly landlord and staff.going back tonight.try it folks you will not go anywhere else trust me x

We were passing by on my husband’s birthday. We had our dog with us and were hungry. It was great to see that pizzas were served until 10pm on Saturday night. The bar was relaxed and friendly. You circled which toppings you want on your pizza (uo to 5) on a piece of paper and handed it in at the bar. I think it was around £9 for a 12” or around £12 for a 14”. We shared the 14” and it tasted great!! Really fresh and the best pizza I’d had for ages. We’d definitely go back.

Great Ales on tap, especially the local Millstone brews. Tasty Pizzas at weekends too. What's not to like?

Parking is a problem for all people. Entrance is a bit tight.plenty of ales on show. Food is limited. Service is quick, staff are pleasant. There was seating available inside and there is seating outside.

Nice boozer with great ales in a stunning location. I've not yet tried the pizza but I've heard it's the best wood fired pizza to be had locally. Hopefully soon!

Went in the pub around half 4 ish and there wasn't any one in. It's a shame as this pub was once the place to be.

Really good pub, really poor choice of bar woman. There is a lovely vibe to this place but it is let down by the sullenness of the bar lady, who I can only describe as permanently angry. On entering we were not greeted with a “hello” but a “wear a mask until you sit down”. Charming. On ordering table service she serves you beer like you have just stolen her soul and even seems unclear of the social etiquette of the pub. If I wanted to be served by a passive aggressive woman there is a plethora of pubs within the greater Manchester area. I won’t be going back with the current rotation of bar staff.

We went to watch the rugby, England v Ireland. England won so everything was Good... especially the beer (Tiger Rut) and the pizzas which are magnificent!!

At first, it's easy to walk past as you get the first impression that it's one of those pubs where the music stops and everyone stares when you walk in. Couldn't be more wrong. Great friendly pub with a nice changing local selection. If there's something you don't like now just try again in a week or two. Yet to try one of their pizzas, but definitely looking forwards to it.

Use to be great but over the last few months it's going down hill, beer is usually not good and the pizza is a complete guess weather it's good or bad, it's now got to a point I only go now and then but use to be every week, you cant rely on getting good pizza and beer but you use to, needs a major rethink and some love putting back in the place to get it working again and also a big thing train the staff as some of them are ridiculous and should not be working in a pub.

Terrible wait 30 mins for pizzas only to be told there are no prawns left. Chose something else the table next to s who order 15 mins after us got the prawn pizzas even they said we should have had the pizzas before them, ask how long they would be there in the oven, I said OK be how long I told you there in the oven, so we desided to get our money back. So if you want to order a pizzas wait half hour to be told they haven't got the ingredients then reorder another pizza only wait another 40 mins then this is the place, ignorant kitchen staff, and tables could do with a good clean.

Great pub and pizza. Pity LFC got beat 2:1 by City. Used to like MCFC.

My favorite place to eat and drink in Mossley! The pizzas are fantastic and the gin and tonics are even better!

Excellent pub with superb range of drinks to suit all tastes and excellent range of home made wood baked pizzas. Drinks include 8 real ales, a real cider, 10 draught lagers/beers, bottled lagers & beer and a superb range of cocktails.

Good beer and ales lots to choose from pizzas are really good straight uncomplicated choices staff are friendly they also have great live music. Service can be slow at busy times but it's worth it give it a try and see for yourself.

Pizza was very good and drinks are well priced, didn't like being ignored while locals got served though. I think 10 minutes waiting at the bar is a bit extreme and rude

Rang and placed a telephone order for a pizza which was 45 minutes later than agreed time. The communication was poor whilst waiting. They said the ovens had broke and that was the delay. Fair enough but apparently this happened a couple of days earlier too....so why didn't they get them fixed? When I got the pizza home (10 mins drive) it was luke warm. Real shame cos this place use to do really good pizza.

Friendly real ale pub serving beers from their own micro brewery and other locally brewed ales. Excellent home produced pizzas available most evenings.

They have a good selection of pizzas, but quite often don't have them available. A bit inconsistent. Great beer selection though and usually very good team behind the bar.

Busy pub, cosy but dated, finally got a card machine, no gluten free options for pizza. Really nice staff

Very well kept bar .It's a real Ale pub which also brew there own beer .They also so have versus ciders, and Gins,whisky. And if you fell peckish there are yummy pizzas done freshly there is a bored up telling when there doing them .I think it's Wednesday to Sunday but I don't know what time

I have been using the pub 2-3 times a year for past 7 years. They always have a good selection on beer on at reasonable prices. The pub maybe needs a bit of TLC but it sells itself on it’s beer and seemingly does okay. The one major downside is that the toilets are poor, and I mean if you need anything more than a pee you are in for an uncomfortable time. They always had the feel of never being properly finished after the refurb and 7 years on they are dirty, don’t flush properly and smell.

Had heard many good things about this pub, particularly the pizzas. So we thought we'd give it a try. Maybe it's because of it being a Saturday, but even at 7.30 it was very busy and particularly noisy. Unfortunately, some of the people around where we sat were already drunk, and the language was terrible. It also reminded me of being in a bar in a Spanish town, as we were surrounded by Tv's showing football. The service was rather poor to be honest. The pizzas were tasty, although one was almost burnt, and although we ordered 3 pizzas, the 3rd one came about 10 mins after the others. We were not given any plates or cutlery. The drinks were reasonably priced. Not the sort of night we like.
