Double D's Cafe in Tameside

Double D's provided hot food for my 50th party. The customer service was amazing from my first enquiry. Everything needed was provided by them, plates, napkins etc. The food was outstanding. All my guests went up for seconds. I would highly recommend and would not think twice about using again.

Perfectly cooked breakfast with fresh ingredients. The thing i like the most is the open kitchen area where you can see your food being prepared. The whole place is spotlessly clean and staff are amazing, always make you feel welcome. Thank you for a lovely breakfast and was good to see you again. Nick .

Lovely little cafe that does amazing food - the breakfasts are amazing! Been going here a while now and the owners are so lovely and treat you like friends every visit. Must try the milky coffee - absolutely amazing!

The food is consistently good, with food made to order none of the usual pre cooked food that’s been sat around like a lot of places serve. Staff can’t do enough for you and decent portions. Nice and clean premises with eat in or take away options.

Came here for the first time the other day for lunch. I had a jacket potato with salad and my partner had a tuna sandwich. It was all made fresh once I ordered it, it was really yummy and not over priced. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place would always be my go to place for a fry up or a decent sarnie. Delivery service is a huge plus aswell, and such friendly staff always got a smile and happy.

Lowest quality ingredients, they must source the cheapest food they can then sell it at high prices, also stinks like a chip pan and so did I once I left. Surprised that they have lasted so long, no wonder they have resorted to defrauding the residents of gee cross

Good quality full English breakfast, value for money.

I usually eat at double Ds every Friday and Monday. The Food is amazing, cooked fresh to order, served with a smile and reasonably priced. Absolutely a must. People who complain just need to stay at home!!

Our church buys pies from Double D's each month to share amongst a group who come to St. George's each week. Tthey are very appreciative of the hot pies Double D's provide, which are very tasty.

Had a great breakfast here this morning, proper veggie full English which was delicious. And a great decaf latté too. All that plus easy parking and friendly staff - excellent.

Well we chanced upon this place on our way out for the weekend and it was fab. Lovely friendly staff gorgeous food great prices. If we are ever passing this way again we will be back it was great.

Family business good choice of food on menu and special board too. Loyalty card regular customers. Clean and tidy. Sit in and take a away available. Good strong free WiFi.

Been here before the morning after a wedding and had a fully loaded full English breakfast; the quality of the food was as expected and would definitely visit again.

I suffer with cancer and loss of apetite but after one of Double ds bacon n egg muffins im satified ...so glad we were introduced too this place by Kara and Duggan xx ....will never go anywere else xx 😊

As a customer i would fully recommend this cafe. Good cooked food... sausage and bacon barm howbu want it. Great staff thatll do anythin for ya. Piping hot brew had to go back for cheeky 1.

Great addition to the range of staff that work for Village news (also a DD property), food cooked to perfection, great cheaper alternative to the Stables and Ganjees down the road, love the staff that work there, they are very empathetic and know exactly what food you should try, I love the atmosphere, its very clean and tidy and never seems to leave a customer unsatisfied with their food.

Decent bacon butty, if a little dry. Needs butter! It was also the most expensive one I've ever had.

Food OK & good value. Clean , tidy little cafe. But it is spoilt by miserable staff who never smile, don't make you feel welcome & love to say, We have stopped serving hot food, or we are closing early because we are quiet, or you will have to wait while I cook your food( obviously!!). I am not referring to the owner who is friendly & helpfully.Food is plonked down in front of you, without a word & no please or thank you. I always treat catering staff with respect & believe the customer should get a bit back costs nothing & without the customers you don't have a job or a business!!

Love double D's food. They have a sign which says something like we don't do fast food, we do quality food as quickly as possible, it's so true. Never had a bad item. Owners are awesome people too. Will be calling many times again this year 👍

Always come with my girlfriend on a Sunday, quality fry up every time. Good for a hangover too! All staff friendly and always polite.

Just had breakfast option 2 3 bacon3 sausage 2 eggs beans tomatoe 3 toast but I only got 2 good quality good time very clean and tidy great service nice people worth the money will go again

My partner and I almost always go every Saturday for lunch when its quite busy. You always get a warm welcome from the staff. The ambience is nice and the food is great, especially the tuna and cheese Panini. My partner has the full English which she says is very nice. All in all a great little café for a bite to eat!

I got a Sausage Runny Egg Muffin R/S pepper and did not get a runny egg was like a brick also no pepper and a drip of red sauce it was too dry and not very nice will not be ordering from there again

I came to Double D's off the back of reviews I had read on TripAdvisor - as I knew I was going to have to be in Hyde very early for work reasons. This place was a bit of a blessing - proper traditional English breakfast - no messing about, straight to the point. Good sausages, decent bacon, two eggs, a nice bit of black pudding, tinned tomatoes, beans and toast. What's not to like!?The food was prepared quickly (I hadn't managed to finish reading the first couple of pages of the newspaper) and was delivered with a smile by the very nice women who were working. This place strikes me as a locals kind of place, as one early customer came in so full of the joys of spring that he sounded as though he was going to propose to the staff. Now, either there is something in the water in Hyde, or he was just genuinely happy to be in the café.Two girls came in to order some food to go, and they hadn't even bothered getting dressed. That's the sort of place this seems to be - nice and relaxed. I really enjoyed my visit and, the next time I have to come up to Hyde, I shall be visiting again.

Visited today. Food was cooked to order. Free papers to read while you wait. The tables and floors were clean. The staff were friendly and price was reasonable for quality of food and potion size. Will call in again, to try the full English.

I have been a long running visitor to this lovely café and I have got to say, it is quite literally my favourite café in Tameside. The food is lovely, the service is lovely and I am always welcomed with lovely ambiance and cleanliness. On this particular occasion, I was here for breakfast and it was divine. It was delicious and I only waiting around 5 minutes! I would absolutely recommend this to anybody visiting gee cross or it's surrounding areas.

Just popped in for lunch at Double D's again, the breakfasts are delicious and are really good value. The cafe is clean and has an open kitchen so can watch your food being cooked. The owner Debbie is always lovely and friendly, she makes the effort to get to know the names of her customers, is professional and is keen to please.
