Thank you for a lovely meal last night, chicken stroganoff tasty and tender . Husband had babotie- tried some and had such delicate flavour, gorgeous. We were 30mins away but definitely worth the drive round , would recommend you try it . And should mention guy serving us, Mike I think, offered a warm & welcoming visit.

Have lived in the area for 6 months and eat out a lot, but we were a bit dubious about eating at the Ardeonaig Hotel restaurant and I'm sorry to say we were right to be. After arriving at a very dark car park, luckily I light turned on as we.approached the hotel. Menu looked OK, nothing exciting, but a couple of things we would order. We ordered the goats cheese starter and then we both ordered the steak and surf main. When we ordered and we were told we should have the rump steak cooked medium, as opposed to the medium rare we ordered, as otherwise rump steak can be tough. That should have been a warning as after double checking what we thought, rump steak is best cooked medium rare! The goats cheese starter arrived which was a round of grilled goats cheese topped with spring onions and chopped black olives from a jar and chilli hummus on the side. There was no toast or bread so we weren't sure how to eat it so we ordered some bread, which arrived promptly. The starter was actually OK, although a bit of a strange combination. Immediately the starter plates were cleared, while we were still chewing on the starter, a large bowl of broccoli and a large plate of chips was delivered. An odd way of delivering the veg, but we were told it was tk save space on the table. The main course arrived, which consisted of a steak topped with prawns and some crab claw on the side. The steak was cooked medium but unbelievably tough, the prawns were over cooked and really salty (and I like my salt), the Broccoli was yellow, the chips were nice but also really salty and the crab was actually OK. When we questioned the broccolo being yellow we were told it was 'fresh' in today. We later complained about it and were told the same thing and even when we told them that after doing some research yellow broccoli is bitter and should be thrown away we were told the same thing. My partner couldn't chew her steak so we sent it back and she ordered the burger. It tool ages to arrive and when it did it didn't look very appetising as it was jammed full of 'stuff'. I feel I've ranted a lot, but to summarise the burger was overcooked, the coleslaw on the side was soggy and obviously old, what was supposed to be bacon was soggy with a chunk of white fat it looked like ham, but when we queried it we were told it was bacon. The burgee was topped with loads of onion chutney, red onion, Cucumber, gherkin, Lettuce, tomato and maybe some more things, difficult to tell. My partner ate maybe a quarter of it. When it came to the bill (after rejecting dessert) we asked to speak to the manager. Mike duly arrived (the same guy who told us rump steak should be cooked medium) and we explained to him what we were unhappy about as we feel that people should know when customers are unhappy so they have a chance to make change. He didn't say very much, was very defensive and just told us he would go and talk to the chef - not sure why, would have thought the manager should be able to respond to unhappy customers, but then maybe he hasn't tasted the food. He didn't return, but a bill was plonked on the table which had the wine plus food at £40. We couldn't work out what we had been charged for so queried it and Mike was dispatched to our table. Apparently we had been charged the starter (fine as it was OK), one steak and surf, the burger and the wine (also OK). We queried this as we had already explained that the steak was tough, the Broccoli was yellow and the burger was not nice and not eaten but we just got a blank look. We told Mike that we were complaining because we live in the area and as we run our own business we would appreciate it if people let us know if they weren't happy, but afraid it fell on deaf ears1. We paid the bill in full and left. Real shame as its a great location. I explained to Mike that the previous Weeked we went to the Boathouse restaurant on the other side of the Loch and the food and service was great and the place was packed. Their restaurant had 4 tables on the following Saturday night so maybe that should tell them something, which got another blank look. If you're in the area avoid this place, Courie Inn in Killin or the Boathouse or even the Falls of Dochart Inn are much better.

We stayed in one of the huts next to the hotel last week and came here for dinner twice and breakfast as well. We had such a wonderful time here each time, it's no wonder we kept coming back! The service was so lovely, every member of staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. There is a separate menu in the bar to the restaurant so if you're able to I would recommend coming back to try both. We had some delicious food including Quail, Cullen Skink, & risotto but the star of the show was the Bobotie on the bar menu. It was truly delicious - one of the best meals I've eaten in my life - not to be missed! Our breakfast was also lovely and great value for money. The staff and food here are wonderful, I cannot recommend enough!

Apparently the Hotel and restaurant are now under new management and re-opened 5/6/2021, the Hotel is under serious renovation but we understand rooms will be available this week. We visited for lunch today (6/6/2021) and the food was excellent. Service was superb and we could not fault the food and wine in any way. We wish Alan Fry,the new owner, and his staff the best of luck moving forward, but if they keep up this standard, luck won't be needed. See my hotel review for all the detail but our experience was downright awful. Uncomfortable seats. Poor choices and tiny portions and crazy prices. £6 for a tiny bowl of soup and £11 for risotto rice with raw carrot cabbage broccoli, cooked aubergine and a poached egg. Pity as could be fantastic as setting is lovely.

We were staying at the hotel for 4 nights and being in the middle of nowhere it seemed sensible to eat at the hotel both for breakfast and dinner. So breakfast first, good but nothing special in the general opinion. Mushrooms could have do with some more cooking and the "Cumberland sausage" was the poorest old thing I have ever seen. Generally the quality of the ingredients need to be improved on, plus a little more on some plates. Generally the dinners were good and not small portions, the steak was a pretty poor effort though and the treacle tarts pastry was impossible to cut through. I know that the hotel has recently changed hands so hopefully it we see improvements to the food and menu

The situation of this hotel/restaurant on the south side of Loch Tay looking across to Ben Lawers is superb. It has recently changed hands after being in receivership, now under Adams Hotels.Lunch menu seemed dear at £28.50 so we only had soup & sandwiches & coffe for three, charged at £30.50, which seemed cheap [?mistake]In the grounds, which run down to the lochside, there are five individual chalets/kraals from previous South African ownership. Very private & suitable for honeymooners, but what if it rains?

Arrived after a long cycle looking for a light lunch and drink. After enquiring that this would be ok, we were then left sat in the bar on our own for about 15 mins. I tried various times to find the receptionist who had told us they were open, had completely disappeared. Eventually a waiter appeared who looked a little shocked that we were there and soon told us that they didn't have any menus and our only options were a sandwich (soup was off). 2 choices of sandwich. We declined and just ordered drinks. After some time he reappeared to tell us that they had had a run on coke the night before and didn't have any. We managed to receive 3 lemonades at the cost of £7.50! This is the only hotel on the south side of the loch. My advice - drive/cycle on to killin or kenmore! Faulty towers has competition!

My partner and I were passing loch Tay on a drive out on Saturday the 15th of June 2013 when she told me that her and a friend had been to the Ardeonaig Hotel for afternoon tea and it was nice. When we arrived there was no one in reception so went into the bar which is to one side of reception after about 10 minutes or so the Chef appeared and we asked if we could have a drink and a menu. He said he was unable to serve us. He helpfully said he would get someone. 5 minutes later no one appeared and other people arrived to check in - within a 30 seconds there was someone to see to them and check them into the hotel. We were completely ignored - when my partner went to reception to ask the person if we could have some service she was 'eyballed' in an aggressive way and told in a curt way that he would 'see to her in a minute when he had finished'. Utterly disgraceful way to treat any person and especially someone dropping in for tea and a drink. As they couldn't be bothered to serve travellers we decided that we would leave and that is what we did. On the way out of the car park my partner saw the Chef who assured us that he had told someone and he was very apologetic about what had happened. As I was very angry at this point I decided not to have an argument but to calm down and write this a few days later. My view of this incident is that the person concerned should be properly trained to deal with people without this kind of treatment or at least have the manners to treat people with courtesy and respect. My sister in law who lives in St Fillans and her partner often use the hotel and take their friends there - discussing this with them they are astounded at the incident and have encouraged us to write this review. Maybe it is a one off but for myself when travelling around Loch Tay side I will not be stopping off at the Ardeonaig Hotel.

We stayed at this hotel which is really beautiful but the highlight of our trip was the restaurant. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.Even with a large wedding taking place at the hotel we were never left without staff to attend to our every need. The evening started with a chat and recommendation from the sommelier (just happens to be the hotel manager). It's great to speak to someone with a real passion who wants to share his knowledge. A quiet drink in the drawing room beside the fire was where the dinner began with a small tray of canapés including the most incredible liquid frozen olives. When we were ready we sat down to the most incredible meal. I was not prepared for the extravaganza which arrived over the next 2 hours. 7 courses of delicious food introduced by knowledgeable staff and accompanied by spectacular wine. Some of what arrived was a little experimental but never over the top and we could not fault a single dish. Living in London we have our choice of restaurants and try our best to sample the best of them however I must say that this restaurant is by far the best food I ate in 2012 (and 2013 so far).I wish the team all the very best for the year and look forward to the next chance I have to come sample your delicious menu.

Rave reviews no doubt well deserved for food , service and comfort but definitely not the kind of place for cyclists and walkers wanting a "pie and a pint" before moving on. Our soup and sandwiches for three, soft drinks and a half pint came to £37 and took an age to arrive. This hotel is on a major bike route and walking track, part of the new pilgrimage route, St Columba's way from Iona to st Andrews, so it is in danger of missing out on an important market.

We spent two nights D, B&B. We have reviewed the hotel separately. It is very interesting to see such a spread in TripAdvisor’s reviewers. We were not able to fault, in any way, the cuisine or the service. For us this restaurant is a benchmark for good food and great service. Although the evening meal was a fixed menu, it resembled a tasting menu in its style and quality: each course, although small, was a taste sensation, and the courses just kept coming. The waiting-staff was excellent in their engagement and introduction of each course, and fully matched the quality of the food delivered by the kitchen. Simply Superb!

Look, I'm not a regular Trip Advisor user, and even for this review I'm over a year late. But I'm still thinking about this meal and so I must recommend this restaurant. We dropped in here at the recommendation of one of our friends who stayed with his wife in the hotel (which looked amazing, but a bit pricey for this particular type of holiday we'd planned). We had a lunch menu, 3 courses for £27 I think (then we had wine on top) and I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals I've ever had...I really can't stress this enough - this really is a restaurant that you MUST go to while it's still reasonable, as once it gets a Michelin star it will rocket.I don't like gnocci, never have as always found too doughy, but this melted in your mouth. After comlpimenting the chef (via the waitor) the charming chef came out with a PRINT OUT of the recipe, plus some tips etc. He was second in command at a Michelin star restaurant and had come there to start his own thing. Speaking with him it was quite obvious that he had the right idea about food; the best ingredients, attention to detail and an incredibly high quality standard. I've got no idea how expensive dinner is, but if you've got a spare £30 and fancy one of the best meals of your life - head here. p.s. nice area too and the guys let us borrow maps to go for a nice walk, and even filled up our flask with hot water and gave us some tea bags.

We attempted to eat a meal at this hotel and failed miserably. The attitude of the Manager towards us was condescending and pre judged. We are a group of 7 professional ladies, who have flown into the area from all over the UK for a pre planned celebration. We booked a specific requirement over three months ago having clearly discussed our needs for the evening required. They had offered us a small room (the snug or the cellar) so that we could spend the evening together and a specific menu. On arriving in Scotland we received a call from the hotel to confirm our booking and requests, and out of courtesy we organised to meet with the Manager to finalise the plans, the day before. The meal was supposed to be a surprise for one of our party, and we had specifically booked a nearby cottage in order that we could eat at the hotel. We were shocked at the attitude of the manager, who stated that they couldn't now accommodate our plans, and the only option was to go into his - I quote - 'Manoir style' restaurant and eat the 'a la carte' menu, which was neither Le Manoir nor originally agreed. This was not suitable for our evening and did not fit with the format discussed. It was very clear to us that he did not want to accommodate a group of 7 women at the hotel for the evening, leaving us with 24 hours notice to reorganise an event, with no prior knowledge of the area. Not once did he apologise for renaging on their commitment. We left the hotel having cancelled our booking, extremely frustrated and insulted by some of his perceived inferences and angry that we had to spend time on our holiday rearranging our plans. If you like 'stuffy and condescending' then this is the place for you.

I'm sure I finished my starter in one bite, so hoped for more in my main course, but once again disappointed. The food quality was very good but portions were terrible and price didn't help. i have just returned from a trip to Ardeonaig (a 40th birthday treat for my wife) and i couldnt be more impressed! There seems to be two entries for Ardeonaig Hotel on tripadvisor, one for the hotel and one for the restaurant itself. Since I stayed overnight in the hotel and ate in the restaurant i could have placed my review in either entry but after reading the last reviewer's comments, who seems to feel entitled to review a resteraunt without actually eating there first, i feel compelled to respond here. From before we arrived at the hotel to checkout and beyond we felt both welcomed and made to feel special.James, the general manager spent at least fifteen minutes on the phone with me prior to booking, ensuring that i was completely happy with all options available to me, in terms of room choice and menu choice, seeing as this was a special trip for my wife and I.On arrival we were greeted and shown to our beautiful cottage suite. The room andcespecially the bathroom were superb.Other reviewers are correct to state that there is no broadband or tv. This IS due to reception in the area, but if youre a gadget freak like may, it may please you to know that there is a faint 3G coverage at times, and data network coverage all the time while we were there, so you CAN create your own connection through internet tethering via a smartphone. We did this and were able to browse the internet no problem. The scenery is, of course, spectacular- even on an overcast day which is how it was when we arrived. At around 7pm we headed to the lounge and once again were greeted with professionalism and courtesy. I knew that the meal (we had opted for the tasting menu) was going to be special as soon as i saw the canapes. When you are treated to the taste of beautiful food that has been presented in such a way as to make you think "how does he do that?" it really is a delight. Ross, the Chef really is on his way to good things (in my opinion). The tasting menu had seven courses. Ive read some other comments about "if you're rich, you will like this place". Well i am neither rich nor particularly well travelled, but i am intelligent enough to know that when you see the amount of time, effort and skill that has gone into each element in each of those seven courses the cost in WELL justified.During the meal you can of course choose your own wine, which we did, or be treated to a glass of wine for each course, which has been perfectly matched and explained in great detail by a qualified sommelier. Although myself and my wife did not take this option, we did eavesdrop on another couple who had and were very impressed. After the meal we retired for a well deserved sleep in a gorgeous and sumptuous bed.The next morning, we were back at the restaurant for what can only be described as a "fine dining breakfast". I never realised how badly my wife cooked bacon until i tasted how it SHOULD be cooked! All in all a thoroughly fantastic experience set in a truly beautiful part of the world. The food has to be eaten to be believed!

The previous, South African, chef/owner ran, to my mind, a four star restaurant where I have had lunch and dinner on separate occasions. The wine list was excellent and sensibly priced, all South African and superb (well the bot of white and the bot of red we had were outstanding at £25 each). The food was excellent. The new owners have an ambitious chef who has worked with some famous names and he wants to start earning Michelin stars, so the currently not very inviting menu will be revamped and the wine list, already ludicrously priced, will be extended. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no passing trade and is likely to be marketed as a relaxing retreat (there is no reliable mobile reception and no wifi).Last weekend at a quick stop for a wee bite of lunch we had three sandwiches and three pints of Schiehallion "lager" (delicious) and the bill was £30. Not unreasonable, except for the fact that the sandwiches were unbelievably ordinary, mine tasteless. The dinner menu is £60 per head and a "tasting" dinner will set you back more than that. A bottle of red will cost you from £30 to £150 a bottle. If anybody rich is reading this, you'll enjoy this place. But if you aren't, save up! I'm not sure that the dinner represents good value for money, but I won't be trying it out.

The hotel and restaurant is now with the third owner since we first visited - and whilst it's changed, it feels as though it's improved every time in one way or another. The service is efficient and effective, but better still - it's personal. The welcome makes you feel at home almost immediately. Now - to the food .......It seems that every single plate is original and possibly even unique! The flavours and textures are both subtle and sometime surprising, but always pleasurable. I found myself grinning at every plate put in front of me - idiotic perhaps, but a natural reaction to the beautiful presentation.James Payne, (the general manager) has an encyclopaedic knowledge of wines, and doesn't "upsell" them in any way - I can almost guarantee that he'll know a wine suitable to your tastes from the wine list at a reasonable price. If I have a quibble its the room itself; it's a bit too "barn like"with a high ceiling, and the tiled floor makes it slightly formal and "cold" with the echo. I much prefered the feel of the carpetted, low ceiling of the original restaurant. That said, the current room offers a remarkable view across Loch Tay toward Ben Lawers, giving breakfast a beautiful backdrop!

This restaurant is under new management as of August 2011 and therefore old views should be ignored. Personally, I had no objection to the old management, but the new one has excelled all expectations. James was a particular delight, introducing us to new, unfamiliar but yet delightful wines, and the other staff were all courteous and pleasant at all times. The general decor of the building has retained its charm since the takeover and the food is certainly aiming towards michelin star standard in my opinion. I can say we'd easily pay more than this for the same standard food in London and therefore can't complain at the prices! For a special occassion or just to treat yourself, definitely worth a go!

This has to rank as one of the worst hospitality experiences of our lives. James who we met at Ardeonaig once before was again (as on a previous visit) condesending, abnoxious and rude. One would think in this economic climate hoteliers and their staff would be glad to see all guests not only those who choose the highest priced in our case bottle of wine. Wine snobbery at it's best! The food was good but not as good as under the previous chef/owner. Sadly this hotel will now sink to the same level as this owners other two glorified boarding houses.

This hotel, formerly with a good reputaton for food, is under new ownership and has just re-opened. The welcome we got was very warm. Clearly they are aiming for a market which enjoys fine food with local produce. My wife and I enjoyed one of the most beautifully cooked and presented meals we have experienced. For this, it is not inexpensive, but we thought good value for the sheer quality. It will take a lttle time for them to make the restaurant rather more welcoming as it is slightly stark, but I am sure that with time this will be righted. They are aware of the issue. We highly recommend this, and if the hotel rooms and hospitality are handled as well, it will be a great place to visit in a charming building in wonderful surroundings.

Obscure to be so demanding for a quiet mid week, where only one of the the three restaurants was open. A serious food destination with an excellent menu, carefully sourced ingredients, deep and great tastes and presentation. Two small points; my foie gras was small enough to be missed, and my host's main was more than double the size of mine. Minor issues perhaps but in this sort of venue one would expect it to be right. Very good attentive, and knowledgable service. I would concur with the comments about the interior, a sad demise for an old Drovers Inn. As i was not paying I could not comment on the wines and markup, but i did enjoy the experience

No option for time of meal, even though staying as a guest.Plain surroundings, dull and no atmosphere. No option but to have 'Tasting Menu' just told that is what we were having, I thought we could chose in a restaraunt, not at this place, the Chef decides what you do, when you do it and what you have.Tasting Menu - tiny samples, some cold, pidgeon with 'shot' still in it, not as though the portion was large, just poorly prepared.Night 3, yes we made it to this night, not sure how, no meal, all the workmen seated before the paying guests ordered the steak and we were not given any acceptable alternative, on discussing this when we checked out the owner decided to shout at us, of course we shouted back.Chef skill...an ability to produce any food at all, bearing in mind he is lost up his own backside ( i don't think thats rude, just observational)Oh the Wine was good, pricey and only SA, but good.

Staying at Kenmore and went for a meal at the hotel. Generally speaking as long as you don't mind being told at the last minute that you can't eat at the time you booked because 'chef' decides when people eat and you are happy to drink only South African wine then it is quite a decent meal. We didn't meet 'chef' but it seemed that every query had to be referred back to him which made the atmosphere a bit stiff and formal. James the maitre d' is very pleasant if a bit stiff as well. The food is good quality but this is fine dining in the French style so don't expect meat and two veg. It is small quantities carefully prepared and fancilly presented. On the whole I found it somewhat overpriced and rather pretentious but many people love that type of meal. Probably would go back provided we could continue to hide from 'chef'.

3rd March 2010We were staying at Kenmore, and as it was my birthday wanted somewhere new to have lunch, and so as we had seen the Ardeonaig in several travel books, we decided to try it for lunch,When we arrived, the door was opened for us, and we were shown into the study, which was great as we had our dog with us and we were delighted to be able bring him in. He was given a bowl of water and we were served drinks. We ordered, and the food came and was fine, although my partners braised lamb was actually quite fatty and with little actual meat, and was quite small. Desserts were good. Our waitress, a young black woman was very pleasant and attentive, as was her more senior colleague .However, as almost every review here attests to, there was a terrible feeling of being watched and scrutinised, from the minute we arrived, by the owner and the other staff on duty under his command. It was not a relaxed atmosphere and we watched several new residents booking in and being ‘taken’ on the tour, Even to us then , not having seen previous reviews it seemed that this was compulsory and very controlling by the staff for all new residentsOnce we had paid the bill - £80 inc tip for a 2 course small lunch, we had also purchased 2 small jars of smoked almonds that were offered for sale on the bar at £1,75 per jar - this was as a small gift for a friend.Neither my partner nor I had wanted to say to, nor were able to say to each other how oppressed we had both felt the atmosphere was, but we both expressed our feeling as we left and walked to the car. We then noticed Peter the owner running towards the car and I asked him had we forgotten something, or left something behind.,He said that he could not find the glass jars we had just purchased, as the almonds were only to be eaten ‘in house’ , as they recycled the jars!!We could hardly believe what he was saying. He actually wanted the two little glass jars - worth about 50p each, back !! - As we did not want two portions of almonds emptied into our hands - we told him to have the whole thing back. It was excruciatingly embarrassing, and quite ridiculous. We explained we had only bought them as a small gift for a friend, as they were for sale on the bar, ready packed in small jars!.As he turned away, with the jars, he then realised that he now owed us money, but we told him very politely not to bother about it. It was really dreadful, and we just wanted to go.My partner was furious.and started to drive away from the car park. As we passed the hotel, Peter the owner came to the front and waved us down, handed me a half bottle of S A house wine, and said ‘give that to your friend instead’ It was unbelievable, and added insult to injury! We had just spent £80 for a light lunch, and would have been tempted to stay for a weekend break, before having visited the hotel. It should have been just what we wanted, from the Farrow & Ball paint finishes, elegant soft furnishings, to the Molten Brown in the toilets - but it wasn’t at all what we liked, The atmosphere was oppressive, and staff looked on edge, as were the guests. There is a terrible feeling of being watched, guests and staff alike, and that conversation is only to find out who and what you are - not a good trait for a hotel owner, This hotel is not what it should be, every thing is for show and not for the delight and use of the customer. I train and develop Managers in my job, and my partner was a senior manager in the city, and we stay in hotels all the time, and therefore feel justified to comment objectively. This experience should have been lovely, but sadly, it was anything but,

We were not actually staying in the hotel but knew of the hotel and invited some friends staying at Lochearnhead to join us for a meal at the restaurant in the Ardeonaig. It took four calls to the hotel to get a table booking because they said they were busy - when we turned up the place was almost empty! The menu looked promising if expensive but when the starters came it was obvious that nouvelle cuisine was still vey much alive in this part of Scotland with huge odd shaped plates and miniscule portions. Wine was all S African at exorbitant prices and when the main course came it was dry and looked as though it had come straight from freezer to microwave. The "cheese board " was three tiny pieces of cheese that would have failed to make a round of sandwiches. When we asked for coffee we were shooed off to what I can only describe as a "doctors waiting room" off the main hotel corridor. straight backed chairs ranged around the walls and no coffee table. The bill for six came to over £350 and included items that we had not ordered. No apology just a "are you sure you did not have them" before redoing the bill.I will not be going there again and would advise anyone to think very carefully before venturing inside

We drove a long way for lunch and were not staying at the hotel. As you see from the above photo (with red phone box)you think you are arriving at"Brigadoon" or a Drover Inn.No its South Africa by Loch Tay.Inside is very white with safari overtones. Some interesting staff , dont think there are many Scots. We were shown to a cool bistroish room , no table covers , very short menu and no wines by the glass except what is left from the night before. When they are hard set on selling the best wines of South Africa how odd was that? The ?South African style chairs were very uncomfortable. The main of rib beef was fine if a little basic , the bread and butter pudding a lot better and worth the drive. We were shown the HUGE kitchen and the cellar . The main dining room looked more comfortable.Great view out the back including a few round "cottages" South African style with thatch no less.So is it worth the traveling and cost ? Make up your own mind, mine is confused.

We have enjoyed visiting The Aizle many times over the past several years for both soup and a toastie or tea/coffee and cake. The staff are always friendly and efficient but the main attraction is the cakes which, although pricey are absolutely delicious. We had visited in May and had two teas and an americano coffee with hot milk and of course the cakes. Unfortunately, when we went there at the weekend, it is now apparently the practice to charge extra for the massive expense and effort involved in steaming a spoonful of milk to have with the coffee which means that a small cup of americano coffee which costs £2.65, presumably with cold milk, now has a surcharge of 75p, making it £3.40. We visit many restaurants and cafes and no-one else makes this additional charge so it really seems like greed. We won't be back.

With a few global giants nearby this independent knocks them for six in terms of quality and value. Recently reopened, post covid closure and I urge people to support this and other independent businesses, but only if they deserve it as this one clearly does. I had a bacon and a square sausage roll for breakfast and both were lovely. Returned on my last day for another bacon roll and had a couple of takeout rolls for later on the long train ride back home to Birmingham. Nice staff, nice place, deserves support. Recommended.

Beautiful little place serving tasty coffee & a fabulous menu. We only had scones which are freshly made & super tasty but I would prefer clotted cream not squirty cream. Friendly staff & fab decor & comfy seats. The window display is beautiful
