Beautiful restaurant located within Salisbury cathedral. Extremely reasonable price. Afternoon tea with warm fruit scone/cream/jam and pot of tea or filter coffee is just £7 50. Plenty of seating in the restaurant or outside within the cathedral. Very friendly staff too.

Nice restaurant, very convenient as it’s inside Salisbury Cathedral. Lovely warm atmosphere, staff were very friendly and helpful. The roast chicken which I had was delicious however my husband ordered a BLT baguette; a single piece of bacon, and quite dated salad.

Trying to speak to staff in this cafe was difficult. 2 of them were actively avoiding eye contact. When I said excuse me to one in a brusque manner she informed me that no food was being served other than cakes and drinks. The staff were actively taking away all the nice looking panninis and savoury items 1 whole hour before the cafe was due to close. Awful customer service and laziness putting away food that could have been purchased 1 full hour before closing.

Very convenient location inside Salisbury Cathedral. Great service with smile even they were full packed inside so got seats out. Cream tea and scones were top listed and delicious. I like the glass roof for more bright light. I think everyone need tea or coffee after spending time in Cathedral. Even bought some gifts from there as there was a gift shop in it.

We only visited to get a pot of tea, but on seeing the food offerings, had to try them out too. Great selection of veggie options, and not the "same old" selection you see so often. (I love goats cheese, but don't want it every single time I eat out!) It was good value too Food servers were so loverly and friendly.

I went in with a small child. There were no other customers. The child is a regular here and it was her request to come here. When I played a song she could sing along to on my mobile phone staff came and complained, making their disgust very clear. "We can't have that sort of thing in here." I continued until other customers arrived. Quite disappointing and miserable experience for an expensive cafe.

I have visited this refectory many times over the years. Some while ago the produce was reliably fresh; unfortunately no longer. A new low was reached on Monday (08.01.24) when the 2 fruit scones I and my friend had were inedibly dry. They were exchanged without fuss, but we noted that they continued to be sold. Could do better we think.

Nice food and reasonable prices despite being a tourist attraction. Staff are nice and happy and really go the extra mile - every person matters. Walked into quite a busy but nice looking cathedral cafe. Went to order soup for myself and my mum and then went to order a panini for my dad. We weren’t served at all and had to grab a member of staff to help us, they proceeded to ask if we wanted it toasted to then say they couldn’t because their toaster machine wasn’t working. Overall, the staff seemed very rude and uninterested, serving people behind us as we waited for quite a while. Would not be visiting again.

There was room to sit and enjoy our food and the overall atmosphere was jolly. My two gripes are that 1. The vegetable soup tasted horrible 2. The cutlery was noticeably dirty (evidence of previous meal on them) and I had to search through the cutlery boxes for clean-ish items. I raised #2 with the Manager whose defence was that the dishwasher had been refilled with clean water at the start of the (cathedral) service. Obviously it has become dirty rather quickly or the wash cycle was too short. Didn’t inspire confidence.

Had lunch here after a visit to the cathedral. There are tables out in the cloister but I ate inside. They do soup, sandwiches and light meals as well as cakes and cream teas. Counter service was quick despite the café being busy and the food was not too expensive. Had a vegetable quiche with green salad, tomatoes and red cabbage. The quiche was more warm than hot but it was tasty and the pot of tea was good and strong. Admiring the architecture of the cathedral through the glass roof while I ate was a great bonus! There's a nice shop at the far end of the café where you can get stained glass paperweights, tapestries, jewellery and other gifts and toys inspired by the cathedral, as well as some interesting books.

I feel like it is more of a cafe than a restaurant an eatery for little older ladies who do lunch the plates are small but the portions are smaller. A small piece of bread to go along with a cold soup. Still giving people soup then making them que letting the soup to get cold. I thought by now there would be a more well thought out plan but no they need action designed to achieve efficiency. The Thai curry didn't look like I expected there were a lot of peas and surprisingly it was served with a naan bread. The macaroni cheese looked as if it hadn't been made on the day and it had been reheated using the microwave.

A pleasant place to have a cup of tea and a snack. We will visit again, so by way of what I hope is constructive criticism - - the tea would benefit from being made with properly boiling water. I didn't notice where it came from but it wasn't very hot and very weak. - the ham and cheese toastie would have been much better had the cheese got hot enough to melt. - the excellent soup needed to be served hot, on this occasion it was barely tepid although our request for it to be blasted in the microwave was efficiently dealt with. I suspect we called on an off day.

Tried to order online and the order was showing as pending and were not sure if the order had gone through. Walked to the store to check, told the order had not gone through. Out through the order for us and cost £7 more than before despite still collecting . Questioned why (despite the man serving having seen our attempts to order with pending card payments) and would not honour the same price. Was unhelpful, rude and charged us more for the exact same thing. We are returning customers but won’t be returning this time as the service was not good. Just to add , despite them reassuring us that our original order had not gone through, upon checking the bank account a few days later , we were actually charged twice for the meal after all.
