Just been redwood 4 of us ordered a meal service was terrible waitress served two of us then served another table before coming to finish us off. Coffee was nearly cold tables were dirty been loads of times before but not going again.

Me and my work colleague visit here fairly regularly for work. A young lady called Tammy always greets us with the biggest smile, and is always ready to help with all our needs. She is a credit to the team and should most definitely not be overlooked for promotion.

Beef pie was awful, changed for curry, I had Chicken Pie which was edible but not much else, not exactly cheap fir that standard of food, have had worse, but nit by much, staff were great though, not their fault.

I visited on Fish & Chip Night ( Wednesdays - cost of meal 7.99) The fish batter was soggy, the skin was on which left very little fish and it was very poor. On their speciality night, how can the cook screw up cooking battered fish? It's basic pub cooking FFS. Was it a clueless and careless teenager who doesn't have enough experience and couldn't give a damn about letting sub par food leave the kitchen?? The rest of the meal was no better. Hardly any chips and peas although they tasted okay. Won't be going here for some time now.

No staff to help seat us, someone came and told us no tables but there was plenty of empty seats … sat down in the end food was good and fresh .

Rude staff, unprofessional snide comments about children making mess whilst eating which a parent was cleaning up. You literally have a play area? Don’t like kids making mess don’t appear as a family establishment…awful to witness wouldn’t bother with here.

Friendly staff, good service, good food and drinks. Great Value for money

Food lukewarm. Service, bar one nice lady was awful, rude staff. Toilets dark and musty. Overall a horrible experience, will not be returning and would recommend others avoid.

Called for evening meal as staying close by. Upon entering, was called to by person behind bar and told to pick a table and come back to order at bar. First choice wasn't available, told no longer doing it but still on menu. Used toilets before meal, very stale unpleasant smell and hand dryer useless. Meal was mediocre but ok. Service terrible. Four staff talking behind bar, took 2 minutes for one to stop chatting and take my order although she was friendly enough. Young man clearing tables, just removed dirty plates etc and relayed clean cutlery. No wiping down of tables. Won't be revisiting.

Have been staying at the premier inn which is amalgomated/ integrated with brewers fare Newcastle under lyme. Breakfast is very good. Good selection of food in the restaurant. They do different special meal deals for each night. The Hake and chips was amazing. The fish was large and delish.

The place was clean but we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Whilst we didn't order cocktails, a customer at the next table did only to be told there were no cocktails that evrning. The restaurant promises cocktails all day everyday on thier website. While the food itself was decent pub food the wait was too long. The Monday deal doesn't run on a bank holiday ehich was disappointing. Was all round disappointing to be honest

Took my grand daughter because she wanted food and to go in the play area. She enjoyed the play area but the child food menu was poor so we did not eat.

Stayed at the hotel and had the full English. Not very good compared to other restaurants.

We visit here often as we are a big family and they cater to us very well, staff are friendly and food is lovely and reasonably priced and comes quickly

Food was very nice, steak was cooked perfectly to everyone's liking. Staff were friendly, and food service was quick- only one fault being they forgot part of one the diners meals

I travel here once a month for 3-5 days at a time for work and eat daily here for dinner. The staff are absolutely lovely and friendly and have become a welcome familiar face away from home. The menu has a good selection for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans alike and the price is very reasonable, not to mention the delicious desserts!

Did the Earlybird with 2 courses. All was fine. Nice window seat.

Stopped of for breakfast late morning and as soon as we had paid we were told that we had about 15 minutes in an all you can eat, so we were rushed through, tables dirty order taken. The toasters did not work properly, the place was unclean and the food served was dry, over cooked, the eggs had been over cooked and were like rubber. Very unpleasant experience over all and would certainly NOT recommend.

Your usual brewers next to premier in my evening was ruined by a large party sounds like ikeys so didn't try the food but easy parking friendly staff and a good selection of beers wines spirits disabled parking and access also 2 electric vehicle charging ports

I want to say how amazing this place is for food. Carly, the manager who served the carvery for us on Easter Sunday, was very pleasant and gave an excellent service. I would highly recommend this place for food as it is an excellent place and good value for money. We visit here on a regular basis, not just for food but for drinks as well. If I could have given more than 5 stars, then I would.

Took my grandson for lunch and to the play center . We both had a child's meal. I had spag boll a brownie n ice cream grandson had chicken bites n ice cream. Within an hour of leaving I was violently sick and diarrhea. Temp n dizzy had stay home and grandson watch TV. Very very upset as we were going yo the fair after this .never had food poisoning before and NEVER want it again. Still not right 24 hours after

We stayed in this Premier Inn and eaten here last year and again now - the staff are brilliant. Very friendly and welcoming. Tammy has been such a lovely and helpful young lady - people like her make customers wish to come back.

One of the worst places I've ever been. The service was terrible, waitress with blonde hair had a filthy attitude, very rude, stood around gossiping, leaving the lady with black hair to greet everyone, take all orders and clean up. Tried to force us to sit next to the cold entrance when the rest of the place was empty with a large selection of other tables, which we refused. Soft play was closed. Food was mediocre at best, advertised as Unlimited, but it wasnt self-serve, so after waiting 15 minutes for a 2nd helping I decided to just leave. £27 for 2 breakfasts and 2 cokes, upset kids and a bad start to the day... I should have turned away after seeing a man stood outside phlegming as I walked in, but mistakes are often made in life... Next time I would rather eat food off the floor at a festival toilet that go back to this place. Terrible.

I wish I could give minus stars to show you how bad my visit was. Rude blonde woman working, acting like I put her out and interrupted her conversation with another member if staff to try and order my breakfasts. Then told me where to sit in an empty restaurant. When I explained I wanted to sit further away she just walked off in a huff. Then made another waitress serve me. If I hadn't of paid I would have walked out. Cooked breakfast was OK, but continental was dyer. I would not return here if you paid me. Was not worth the money! Go somewhere else trust me!

Food was ok good value for money but it was slammed down on the table and wasnt even asked if we wanted any sauces had to chase the waitress to get some. Then it came that was also slammed down. No one came to ask if everything was ok at all through the meal. Wont be returning soon.. Can see why no one was in today!

I dine here in my first night staying at the Premier in and the food was alright your average pub food. Staff were very good and friendly. Regarding breakfast, on the first day 12/03/2024 staff took their sweet time to come and take my order for the cooked breakfast, I actually had to go and call them. Food was OK overall but the fried eggs were swimming in oil, disappointed. On the second day (today 13/03/2024) the toasters were not on, I could've waited forever (incompetence if you asked me) and the woman taking the room number was not very friendly. Fried eggs were once again swimming in oil. A good dinning experience but a terrible breakfast experience hence the rating.

Went for a family meal for Mother’s Day My husband ordered our meals but when it came they offered me fish and chips I told them we had ordered lasagne The waitress went back to the bar, then returned saying no lasagne had been ordered,despite another member of the family being present,and hearing him order the lasagne, as he was asked was it the beef lasagne or the veg option We then had to re order the meal and pay for it despite it obviously been a mistake on their part As I am diabetic,and had taken insulin as I did not expect to have such a long wait My blood sugar was becoming very low and to be fair they did bring me some garlic bread out, but by the time my lasagne finally came other family members had virtually finished their meals We asked to see the manager but she appeared to be avoiding speaking to us about what had happened To be fair the young waitress was very good and apologetic Finally the manager approached my husband and he had to have a conversation about the poor management She offered us my meal free finally Just not impressed with this chain generally unfortunately very hit and miss experiences and long waits for food

Okay atmosphere, nice staff. Food was awful and had cheese and potato pie which was full of garlic and herbs. The chef made a error it turned out. My steak was too chewy, and i'd say a third of it was fat/gristle.

The food was great as always. I ordered gammon steak ,chips, tomatoes, and 2 slices of pineapple. Had a bit of a wait for the dessert, which was annoying but worth the wait with a Cadbury sundae.

On first visit here , caught my finger between the bodged door trim ( obviously work of cowboy builders) that shaved the top of my finger off , managed to get finger sorted at the bar & still painful after a week of been there. Had a meal which was OK, cleanliness of the place was poor eg cutlery, tables , place just felt it needed a deep clean . Will not be visiting again 😒

Lovely friendly staff. Very helpful and attentive. The food was good and tasty. I had 4 evening meals here and enjoyed all of them.

Just had Christmas Dinner there today. Everything was just perfect. They catered for our group of 13 without any problems. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, atmosphere was great,was served real quick. The staff were jolly! Would highly recommend this place! We'll be back next year! Also a special shout out to Becky! Visited with a friend yesterday to enjoy the festive menu. We had booked a table in advance. On ordering at the bar, unfortunately, they didn't have my friends starter in stock. We received our glasses and filled up on the unlimited drinks deal. The starters arrived fairly quickly, I enjoyed my mac and cheese bites, but they were a little greasy. My friends soup was covered in basil oil, which was unpleasant. She left most of it, but this was never queried as we waited ages for our main courses and had to ask if they were ready. We both enjoyed our main courses, I had the festive burger, and she had the turkey dinner. Both were piping hot and perfectly cooked. We then waited ages again and had to request our puddings. We both had a sundae, and they were fresh made, no complaints. We observed a severe lack of staff. Once you did speak to a staff member, they were very pleasant and helpful. Tables were left uncleared, and the place looked dirty. Under our table hadn't been cleaned, and the remnants from other meals were clear. It was such a shame as the food was delicious and piping hot, but nearly 3 hours to have a 3 course meal is ridiculous.

I don't have much words because it's just great here. The food isn't overpriced and if you want a nice bite to eat its perfect! Not had a bad experience and it's mine and my mums go to lunch place. The staff are friendly too and plenty of car parking :) Update.. had the festive menu today and it was the best dinner I've had in a long while. Even beat a carvery!

First time in this Brewers fayre and certainly will be coming back again. Lovely atmosphere, tasty food and friendly staff.

On arrival to the restaurant on a Saturday tea time at around 5.10 a lady came up to us and we requested soft seating for 3 .We were escorted to buffet style seats all taped up with grey tape which looked unsitely and not something that you would like to be sitting on (it could of marked your clothes) So sat at the next table where the seating was not taped but noticed that. the seating further along was also taped.Not a good impression.The restaurant had hardly anyone in.We were there with our 11 year old grandson who noticed that the cutlery laid for us looked unclean so found some more from another table which looked better.We ordered the rib combo,smothered chicken and scampi with mushy peas which were all dried up.The portions of chips were sparce compared with what we have been given at other Brewers Fayre's that we have eaten at.We will not be returning to this one again and your staff at this restaurant could do with customer services training.

Long waits to be seated and the place really wasn't busy. Then waited just as long for th3 food to come out. We all only had burgers. Tbh it wasn't worth the wait.

Buffet style breakfast, can have full English, continental available too, fruit juice cereal croissants, but don't fill up quick enough when busy, said 15mins for more croissants - still didn't arrive to be filled up after half hour, coffee was cold out of machine.

Had my daughters birthday party here tonight. Helen was brilliant, couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend

Bought my 3 year old to celebrate her birthday, staff went above and beyond putting little hats and sweets out. She had a wonderful time with family. Staff were excellent and really deserve some credit. I'll definitely be back. Thankyou so much for making a little girl have a great birthday

Brilliant breakfasts, excellent choice of English and continental! For the price it's absolutely fantastic! What truly sets it apart from other places is that children eat free.

Nice breakfast, really good value for money as children under 16 eat free. All the usual breakfast cereals, bacon, sausage, etc. with continental choices. Very nice 👌

I had my daughters 6th birthday party at the Brewers play area. Helen was fantastic and very helpful before and during the party! Great time had by all ⭐️

Stayed for three days. Food is fine like any other pub. They have good deals that you can take advantage of. I felt that the breakfast menu needs some improvement and they should offer a few more options. Other than that, it was a good experience overall.

Brought the kids to the play area for a treat. The lady in charge (Helen I think) was fantastic very helpful and friendly. Great service and the play area was kept very clean.

Charged 2 different amounts to my card and took 2 weeks to get back. Food was better than ladt time but not amazing.

Stayed at the premier inn and had breakfast at the Brewers Fayre. Helen was amazing. Went above and beyond for myself and my kids. Breakfast was superb. And I’ve had a lot of BF breakfasts! Thank you Helen and team!

Took ages to come, when it did the chicken was that rubbery chicken not real chicken and the cabbage was no where to be seen roast were hard and the carrots, didn’t complain as we had been taken out for the meal with an elderly relation and didn’t want to upset them, as I knew it would because it was for 2 birthdays and a wedding Anniversary, starter and pudding were ok, and it was quite so we could talk which was good, the children loved the play area.

Stayed on our way back to Scotland. My daughter is coeliac and struggles to get food anywhere. However they had a full range of gluten free food for breakfast. My daughter was delighted. The chef and the staff were so helpful. Absolutely made our trip. Well done Brewers fayre

Not been here since it was taken over we used to love it when it was Taybarns my first experience wasn't great here this week, sticky dirty tables, party shoved in a tiny corner by the toilets when there was plenty more space elsewhere, 3 mini profiteroles for nearly 5 quid!!! I thought it was a childs portion when she brought it out, mum hardly had any custard on her Roly Poly pudding, hardly any chips on her plate and medium rare steak came out cremated will definitely stick to Hanley one where they have lovely staff and table service and just generally a nicer restaurant will not be returning here I'm afraid we are in a cost if living crisis so when I spend my hard earned precious cash I expect better sorry

It’s a lovely spacious place but alas! The Sunday lunch was cold, dry mashed potatoes, carrots uncooked, meat sliced so thinly. Not a pleasant experience- we shan’t be coming back again!

Arrived at a "busy" time around 6pm Sunday to be told there was 1 hour wait for food (tables only looked about 50% in use) Decided to have coffe while waiting. Went for the free refill at the machine to be faced by large clouds of steam from it while trying to brew the coffee - scalding hazard it I hadn't stepped back in time. It was reported to the bar staff who then came to refill the milk. on the second attempt it managed quarter measures and displayed a fault code on the machine (time and date on the machine are wrong on the photo) After an hour and 15mins without food we asked about the meal, to be told that it had been brought out and called out. It had been taken to a table 20 numbers from ours. We had to produce our receipt then wait another 15 minutes for the food. The meal wasn't bad when it did arrive and one of the servers brought a full coffee to the table. This is obviously a family oriented venue so families with young children probably wouldn't be too bothered by a wait while the kids played.

Terrible experience. 1 and half hour wait for food. Then one meal didn't arrive. When that meal did come it was inedible. Won't be going back to this totally mismanaged pub

If I could give 0 stars I would we went for tea tonight (Sunday) we ordered our food and it turned up an hour and half later if we were told about a wait that would be fine but we were not, we saw families come and go whilst we were still waiting, I saw one family just walk out and say they would go home for a takeaway, when the food eventually arrived it was hard and tasteless and our kids plates were stupidity hot so much that I struggled to touch them let alone kids, when we forced the food down and came to pay that was another farce 15 minute wait at the bar to pay (there was only 4 people waiting), they say you get what you pay for but for £72 you can get a lot better, would not recommend would definitely not go back again, they said they were busy but there was more empty tables than full ones

Fantastic lasagne. Came with salad and garlic bread for £10 as of June 2023.

Wow what an experience, apparently the cheeseburger topped chips come with crumbled beef burger which turns out to be a loverly cut herron food special horse burger, then to top it off we have cucumber instead of gherkins, the chef was adiment they are the same all an all I wouldn't feed this a dieing dog

Been staying at the premier inn for about 3 weeks as a contractor and would just like to say the food was always good and the staff where mostly really pleasant and helpful,

Service was a little slow food smaller portions queues to pay for food slow moving. Has kids play area free refill soft drinks Parking can be challenging as three disabled bays used by vehicles not displaying badges.

We love it here ,it's our new favourite place to seek of for food ,,always lovely service ,staff have a smile on their faces and go above and beyond, always clean and the food is spectacular Never complain Outstanding

We went for breakfast. Quality was pretty good overall. Good selection of food on the breakfast buffet - full English, continental, cereals, etc. Service was good. Great value if you have kids, as kids eat for free (two children per full paying adult).

Been twice in a fortnight. Coming from over 20 miles away for a specialist itemised local shop. Getting breakfast here and not stopping anywhere else means this place has something going for it. In and out in an hour well fed for £20, good food cooked well. Three satisfied people.

Food 10 out of 10 it's a chain so you pretty much know you're getting pre-portioned and costed food, the peas though best ever just like out of the pod (not usually a pea lover.) Drinks 9.5 out of 10 (slight drop due to non alcoholic choices) Bar server very pleasant and knowledgeable service with a smile 10 out of 10 Food cost and choice reasonable and varied but you can't add or swap due to portion controlled menu Only thing that was a shame was the servers didn't do a table check and seemed distant with their interaction with customers. Point raised and well received. (Only four stars due to the fact The Redwood wasn't a Five and I couldn't put 4.5 definitely would return in the future

We have breakfast here regularly. The food is excellent & plentiful, my compliments to Mick the chef who always cooks my eggs bang on how i ask for them, to my liking. Also the staff serving, Beth & especially Lesley who always is extremely busy but gives excellent service with a customer focused attitude, nothing is too much trouble for her. Highly recommend.
