To be fair we went in late so the place was a little empty. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was nice and ok price

I've eaten here some years ago and was good. This week was awful. Meat was tough as old boots, spuds like they were made last time I was in.

Our last visit was fantastic in comparison to the previous. Staff were very helpful friendly and accommodating, the place was spotless, and the food was great and arrived quickly, although it was a quiet time of day. Nice ambiance in the place really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back and do recommend it. A transformation from a couple of years ago. Top marks. 👍👍

Went here last night with my family who had come to visit, we have been here a couple of times before over the last few months and because our first visit was positive we went back, second visit wasn’t as good and yesterday sadly was pretty poor. I ordered a jacket potatoe and salad which was served by an individual who looked like he had slept in his uniform! When I went to put butter on the potatoe I noticed it was black inside, when I showed the waiter this and asked if I could have another he just stood looking at me until finally taking my food back for a replacement. My daughter had salmon which was over cooked and dry. Just before leaving we used the toilets and to be honest had we have gone there first I wouldn’t have stopped for food!! The cleanliness and hygiene was poor to say the least. Certain staff gave the impression they really didn’t want to be there and their attire I found pretty scruffy and unsanitary sadly. Not a good impression for front of house

Came tonight for the first time in a group for our slimming world Christmas meal, the food was nice and presented well, could have been hotter but hats off to the chef as he was busy tonight. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The prices are good too. Had a look on line when I got home and me and my husband will be back for a meal.

We visited lunchtime y/day to treat our Grandaughter for her 19th birthday. The food was very good, the 4 of us each had different mains not all listed below. The staff were so good in bringing out the cake we'd bought with us + singing Happy Birthday, & giving her a present & card. I'm sorry we did not get the 2 ladies names but sure they know who they are.

Some characteristics of good bar staff include: Being friendly and cheerful, Having a good knowledge of the drinks menu, Being hard working, Being respectful, and Being good at multitasking. Bartending is a fast-paced job that requires a lot of thinking on your feet. It's recommended to prepare yourself mentally and physically and to wear good shoes Tammy has it all. great service the festive food was ok very small portions. Looks good and was ok but way too small.

Went for a meal with family for great grandaughters 4th birthday placed order for meals a mix up was made with the starters also brought out a main meal with starters returned it while we ate the starters then 4 main meals brought others waited for theirs to be brought out 1person already ate theirs while 6 others where still waiting so I complained to a member off staff who rushed off to find out what was happening another staff member came and apologised went to sort it out then came back with the meals and offered a free drink or pudding. I could not complain about the food it was nice and hot just a shame about the mix up. I didn't complain to get a free drink or pudding it was just a shame about the wait apart from that the service and staff were lovely we all left happy.

Met here at the suggestion of someone else. I certainly wouldn't rush back. Tbh, if I was staying in the premier inn next door, I'd be eating somewhere else.

I visited on Fish & Chip Night ( Wednesdays - cost of meal 7.99) The fish batter was soggy, the skin was on which left very little fish and it was very poor. On their speciality night, how can the cook screw up cooking battered fish? It's basic pub cooking FFS. Was it a clueless and careless teenager who doesn't have enough experience and couldn't give a damn about letting sub par food leave the kitchen?? The rest of the meal was no better. Hardly any chips and peas although they tasted okay. Won't be going here for some time now! How come standards are so POOR here - whereas Hanley Brewers Fayre is Excellent and it's the same company???

The food is average but the staff well make up for the mediocrity. And will keep coming back just for the staff.

Called in for lunch with daughter and her friends. Food was great, 40% off mains even better. Like that they still do bottomless fizzy pop.

Haven't been here in many years but last week went to a family meal here as a change to usual local puds we attend. I absolutely cannot fault the food we recieved for a chain pub it was absolutely delicious, nice and hot and came out quickly after ordering. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, not too loud or overly crowded considering it was a popular time to visit. The only thing that let down the visit was the staff who didn't seem overly enthusiastic in their roles, seemed a little unsure of a few things throughout the evening and just generally not the best service at the bar. I will say however that despite that they were all polite. We will definitely be visiting again!

The first part of our evening was a good experience as we were staying in the Premier Inn next door, unfortunately the second part was a disappointment. After returning from visiting family, we stopped in to grab a drink, we asked one staff member if it was okay for us to in the bar area with our little one, she just looked myself and my husband up and down then ignored us. My husband went to get us a drink in the end as it was quite and we were still ignored, he asked a woman who was at the tables if she could serve us and her reaction was to roll her eyes, muttering about where is the other staff member to serve us! She carried on complaining about having to serve and slammed our drinks on the bar! So the later part of the evening was unfortunately not the best. We do understand its stressful especially on a Friday evening and tiring, but we were disappointing with the service at the end of the night. However the next morning we were greeted by other members of staff who were polite, helpful and welcoming, so that was a very positive experience for us as a family.

Good and well prepared food, staff is very friendly and helpful, went there a few times and Tammy even remembered us. Prices are very affordable, recomand trying.

I’ve always enjoyed visiting this restaurant, with great food and friendly, helpful staff. However, on our last visit, we did encounter one issue: a child’s meal was served on a plate that was so hot even I, as an adult, couldn’t hold it. This was particularly concerning since it was intended for a two-year-old. Aside from this, everything else was excellent, and we had an otherwise pleasant experience. I hope they take care to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Much improved after my last visited. A mad influx of customers, but the staff worked very hard to make sure that everyone was served asap.

Went recently for breakfast, all you can eat for just over a tenner with tea and coffee and juice included in the price. Also the breakfast stuff if not sat under a heat lamp slowly drying out, they come to your table and you tell them what you want eg 17 bacon, 3 poached eggs, all the beans. They then bring it too you freshly cooked. Brilliant idea! While you wait there is fruit, toast, cereal fresh fruit juice, toast too help yourself too. Can't fault the place was delicious and didn't give me the shits

Not greeted for breakfast But like it or not we we're entertained by Julie the whole meal, Just off holiday, and late back for their first day, lots of papers to do but oh well needed to sleep in. It's okay, though, as they're not in on Wed as thats therapy day! Awkward times, as the boss wants face time all the time, he needs to see interactions, "chatting the whole time isn't enough." Latest gossip: They're trying to get rid of the night quarter but have not yet done so.

Attended Birthday party for great grandson (4)yrs age very good facilities /"den) for children and usual climbing frames good food for children average stay 2 hrs for party.

The food was lovely, although had to send it back as part of my order didn't come out, however the staff were friendly, helpful & quick to resolve any problems.

My food wasn't good but others looked nice. Staff looked like they were being run off their feet, very rushed.

Wow..wow...wow...The Redwood Brewers Fayre is the absolute pinnacle of disappointment. I dont normally leave poor reviews, however on this occasion i feel my review is warranted. We came here for a birthday meal, tonight 19/08/2024 now to be honest, it was a last minute decision...that's on us but 5 of us were hungry and the one in Crewe we believed is closed for a refurb. We decided not to have starters ( I'm now thinking this was a good choice) so we launched into ordering mains and puddings, 2 large mixed grills, fish n chips ( not available) so ended up with scampi, and a couple of chicken burger type things, puddings were a crumble, 2 cheesecakes, fudge cake and apple pie. The mains turned up and the first thing that struck us were the portions...they were woeful, I'll admit yhe steaks were cooked as requested but my God...can they make the portions of chips any smaller!! Peas...smallest spoon available, 2 very well done ( burnt onion rings) now taste wise...OK...not great but I reminded myself that this was a cheap n cheerful place to eat..in the end..not really cheap and certainly not cheerful. Anyway..I digress...the others seemed happy with their choice, if not very stingy on the sizes. They eventually agreed to 'give us' an additional bowl of chips. Now we waited Iver 30 mins for our mains plates to be removed...now in some cases in a busy restaurant this could be considered acceptable, with a restaurant with 12 other diners this was not. A couple sat on another table had also been complaining about their food and promptly left...we were kept waiting for our dessert. Two members of staff were busying around (seemingly the only 2 working) whilst the manager was very busy...on her phone ( obviously not checking reviews for her establishment). In the end my wife had to ask for the plates to be cleared from the table. This was done in stages, 2 plates removed then 10mins later the rest removed. After a further substantial wait our desserts started to arrive...the first was slammed down onto the table...and I'm not kidding...the attitude which actually shocked me made me think we'd actually gone to one of those Karen's Diners where you pay for poor service!! So...complaints on the dessert..I haven't seen skin on my custard like that since a primary school dinner, the crumble wasn't really a crumble, my pie edge was stone cold, the cheesecakes looked OK and the toffee pudding wasn't too bad...apart from whatever excuse it was for custard. So...all in all..this is an experience that I really don't want to repeat or other make the same mistake...always check reviews first. Will we return...we will not...will we recommend...we will not...will I leave a review...yes I have. #BrewersFayre... sort this place out and get a manager in who actually cares about what they do.

Just been here for a family breakfast and very good service, great food, clean, well organised and plenty of choice. We didn’t pre book and were given a friendly, welcoming reception and shown to our table. They offered a buffet style breakfast with an extremely well organised and professional set up. All food was hot, fresh and there was plenty of it. The staff were very polite, friendly, professional and proactive, always reorganising, checking on quantities, cleaning, clearing tables and extremely assertive. Food was cooked to a very high standard and the chef was constantly checking quantities. This is how I had experienced Premier Inn breakfasts to be pre lockdown. It just seems post lockdown the quality of service and attitude of staff has deteriorated considerably and the customer care is non existent in many establishments but well done to The Redwood Brewers Fayre 10/10 these are the standards that should be met and followed by all! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We stayed at the Premier Inn and booked a table for breakfast on Saturday morning. Everything was very clean and the buffet was kept well topped up so there was no waiting for cooked items. We have had many Brewers Fayre breakfasts because they are great value (kids eating free) and this was one of the best.

Food was nice and it was a very spacious place that holds a lot of people. The childrens play area was closed for cleaning and that was one of the main reasons for choosing the place.

Who ever the chef is now they do a sterling job, steaks always cooked to liking. Ordering is slow, usually only one on the tills

If you're in a hurry it's a tummy filler nothing special

Went today, booked for 10.15 for buffet breakfast and were immediatetly told the food was only on for another 10 mins so we coukd have what was left out and that was it. One of our guests missed the breakfast all together as he was running late. They were taking food away as we were trying to serve ourselves. After sitting for around 25 mins with the food we had quickly managed to gather we were told there was going to be a fire alarm and 'if we didnt want to participate we'd best leave. The worst experience of an eatery ive had in a long time.

Food was poor. Eggs at breakfast were overcooked. Asked for a fresh one, that was much better, but still slightly hard. In my view the chef needs lessons in cooking fried eggs. Meat pie in the afternoon, not much meat but lots of jelly substance! Mash and peas were a child's portion, all for circa £12. Not good value.

Meal saver menu before 6pm. Gammon with an egg and pineapple. Always a good choice, always good value.

Me and my work colleague visit here fairly regularly for work. A young lady called Tammy always greets us with the biggest smile, and is always ready to help with all our needs. She is a credit to the team and should most definitely not be overlooked for promotion.

Just been redwood 4 of us ordered a meal service was terrible waitress served two of us then served another table before coming to finish us off. Coffee was nearly cold tables were dirty been loads of times before but not going again.

Beef pie was awful, changed for curry, I had Chicken Pie which was edible but not much else, not exactly cheap fir that standard of food, have had worse, but nit by much, staff were great though, not their fault.

No staff to help seat us, someone came and told us no tables but there was plenty of empty seats … sat down in the end food was good and fresh .

Rude staff, unprofessional snide comments about children making mess whilst eating which a parent was cleaning up. You literally have a play area? Don’t like kids making mess don’t appear as a family establishment…awful to witness wouldn’t bother with here.

Food lukewarm. Service, bar one nice lady was awful, rude staff. Toilets dark and musty. Overall a horrible experience, will not be returning and would recommend others avoid.

Called for evening meal as staying close by. Upon entering, was called to by person behind bar and told to pick a table and come back to order at bar. First choice wasn't available, told no longer doing it but still on menu. Used toilets before meal, very stale unpleasant smell and hand dryer useless. Meal was mediocre but ok. Service terrible. Four staff talking behind bar, took 2 minutes for one to stop chatting and take my order although she was friendly enough. Young man clearing tables, just removed dirty plates etc and relayed clean cutlery. No wiping down of tables. Won't be revisiting.

Have been staying at the premier inn which is amalgomated/ integrated with brewers fare Newcastle under lyme. Breakfast is very good. Good selection of food in the restaurant. They do different special meal deals for each night. The Hake and chips was amazing. The fish was large and delish.

The place was clean but we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Whilst we didn't order cocktails, a customer at the next table did only to be told there were no cocktails that evrning. The restaurant promises cocktails all day everyday on thier website. While the food itself was decent pub food the wait was too long. The Monday deal doesn't run on a bank holiday ehich was disappointing. Was all round disappointing to be honest

Took my grand daughter because she wanted food and to go in the play area. She enjoyed the play area but the child food menu was poor so we did not eat.

Stayed at the hotel and had the full English. Not very good compared to other restaurants.

I travel here once a month for 3-5 days at a time for work and eat daily here for dinner. The staff are absolutely lovely and friendly and have become a welcome familiar face away from home. The menu has a good selection for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans alike and the price is very reasonable, not to mention the delicious desserts!

Stopped of for breakfast late morning and as soon as we had paid we were told that we had about 15 minutes in an all you can eat, so we were rushed through, tables dirty order taken. The toasters did not work properly, the place was unclean and the food served was dry, over cooked, the eggs had been over cooked and were like rubber. Very unpleasant experience over all and would certainly NOT recommend.

Your usual brewers next to premier in my evening was ruined by a large party sounds like ikeys so didn't try the food but easy parking friendly staff and a good selection of beers wines spirits disabled parking and access also 2 electric vehicle charging ports

I want to say how amazing this place is for food. Carly, the manager who served the carvery for us on Easter Sunday, was very pleasant and gave an excellent service. I would highly recommend this place for food as it is an excellent place and good value for money. We visit here on a regular basis, not just for food but for drinks as well. If I could have given more than 5 stars, then I would.

Took my grandson for lunch and to the play center . We both had a child's meal. I had spag boll a brownie n ice cream grandson had chicken bites n ice cream. Within an hour of leaving I was violently sick and diarrhea. Temp n dizzy had stay home and grandson watch TV. Very very upset as we were going yo the fair after this .never had food poisoning before and NEVER want it again. Still not right 24 hours after

We stayed in this Premier Inn and eaten here last year and again now - the staff are brilliant. Very friendly and welcoming. Tammy has been such a lovely and helpful young lady - people like her make customers wish to come back.

One of the worst places I've ever been. The service was terrible, waitress with blonde hair had a filthy attitude, very rude, stood around gossiping, leaving the lady with black hair to greet everyone, take all orders and clean up. Tried to force us to sit next to the cold entrance when the rest of the place was empty with a large selection of other tables, which we refused. Soft play was closed. Food was mediocre at best, advertised as Unlimited, but it wasnt self-serve, so after waiting 15 minutes for a 2nd helping I decided to just leave. £27 for 2 breakfasts and 2 cokes, upset kids and a bad start to the day... I should have turned away after seeing a man stood outside phlegming as I walked in, but mistakes are often made in life... Next time I would rather eat food off the floor at a festival toilet that go back to this place. Terrible.

I wish I could give minus stars to show you how bad my visit was. Rude blonde woman working, acting like I put her out and interrupted her conversation with another member if staff to try and order my breakfasts. Then told me where to sit in an empty restaurant. When I explained I wanted to sit further away she just walked off in a huff. Then made another waitress serve me. If I hadn't of paid I would have walked out. Cooked breakfast was OK, but continental was dyer. I would not return here if you paid me. Was not worth the money! Go somewhere else trust me!

Food was ok good value for money but it was slammed down on the table and wasnt even asked if we wanted any sauces had to chase the waitress to get some. Then it came that was also slammed down. No one came to ask if everything was ok at all through the meal. Wont be returning soon.. Can see why no one was in today!

I dine here in my first night staying at the Premier in and the food was alright your average pub food. Staff were very good and friendly. Regarding breakfast, on the first day 12/03/2024 staff took their sweet time to come and take my order for the cooked breakfast, I actually had to go and call them. Food was OK overall but the fried eggs were swimming in oil, disappointed. On the second day (today 13/03/2024) the toasters were not on, I could've waited forever (incompetence if you asked me) and the woman taking the room number was not very friendly. Fried eggs were once again swimming in oil. A good dinning experience but a terrible breakfast experience hence the rating.

Went for a family meal for Mother’s Day My husband ordered our meals but when it came they offered me fish and chips I told them we had ordered lasagne The waitress went back to the bar, then returned saying no lasagne had been ordered,despite another member of the family being present,and hearing him order the lasagne, as he was asked was it the beef lasagne or the veg option We then had to re order the meal and pay for it despite it obviously been a mistake on their part As I am diabetic,and had taken insulin as I did not expect to have such a long wait My blood sugar was becoming very low and to be fair they did bring me some garlic bread out, but by the time my lasagne finally came other family members had virtually finished their meals We asked to see the manager but she appeared to be avoiding speaking to us about what had happened To be fair the young waitress was very good and apologetic Finally the manager approached my husband and he had to have a conversation about the poor management She offered us my meal free finally Just not impressed with this chain generally unfortunately very hit and miss experiences and long waits for food

Okay atmosphere, nice staff. Food was awful and had cheese and potato pie which was full of garlic and herbs. The chef made a error it turned out. My steak was too chewy, and i'd say a third of it was fat/gristle.

The food was great as always. I ordered gammon steak ,chips, tomatoes, and 2 slices of pineapple. Had a bit of a wait for the dessert, which was annoying but worth the wait with a Cadbury sundae.

On first visit here , caught my finger between the bodged door trim ( obviously work of cowboy builders) that shaved the top of my finger off , managed to get finger sorted at the bar & still painful after a week of been there. Had a meal which was OK, cleanliness of the place was poor eg cutlery, tables , place just felt it needed a deep clean . Will not be visiting again 😒

Just had Christmas Dinner there today. Everything was just perfect. They catered for our group of 13 without any problems. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, atmosphere was great,was served real quick. The staff were jolly! Would highly recommend this place! We'll be back next year! Also a special shout out to Becky! One of the waitresses! Many Thanks!
