Our city is justifiably famous for its great pubs ,so many spread out throughout the city ,one I love to visit is The Red Lion . A great looking pub,its got a shabby chic look,a rambling interior, eclectic and interesting decor and furnishings, a cool looking serving bar dominates the main room and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden, its just a really good pub to unwind in. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon, pub was very busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered a pale ale each, these were served in excellent condition,we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, well balanced, well crafted, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, a classic British pale ale indeed, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with ales served in this good a condition . We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Red Lion we had a great time. The Red Lion is easy to locate along Slater Street, a street famous for its pubs and bars. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

The Red Lion on Slater street is a fantastic old style pub in the city centre that offers a superb range of drinks and was a fantastic place to have a few cask ales. This pub has an amazing interior with excellent features throughout the whole pubs interior and it's got superb seating options throughout it's whole interior and beer-gardens. This is an unusual pub for this area as most of the pub's and bar's around this area are aimed at a younger clientele. We went here early in the evening and it was very busy in here and it took us a couple of minute's for us to get served. When we visited here we had a few glasses of cask ale's which where served in perfect condition and where well priced. This pub is a superb place to visit in a brilliant area of the city centre and well worth a visit and its easy to find from Central train station it's a few minute's walk.(This is my third review of The Red Lion). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-12.00-Onwards. Public Transport. Train Station. Central Train Station.

Been there before, and after a disappointing first time decided to give it another chance. Yet again the ale was abysmal. And then to add to my negative experience I ripped my finger on an errant nail/splinter walking down the staircase from the toilet.

What a gem of a spot. Has really struck the balance between being vibrant and cool, but also a conventional boozer. Highly recommend for a drink and a relax

We ordered a giant cookie on the second of feb to be collected on the 17th feb giving plenty time for it to be made. The day before pick up I ran the branch and asked about the cookie to which the lady rudely replied she hadn’t got an order and that there was lots of staff so it had gone missing, she didn’t even think to ask what was my order and instead told me to ring back at 4:30pm as she was extremely busy. As this cookie was for an event I didn’t want to risk not getting it and with the employee not really listening and being rude on the phone I went down to speak to her to my Surprise (not) she was not busy instead on her phone with her headphones in I spoke about the issue with the missing order and showed her my receipt to which she replied (I believe you) well I’m glad she did as she took my order on the 2nd. She never apologised or even acknowledges her mistake instead was extremely rude. I’m sure this isn’t the time of person Millie’s wants as the front for there business because I will not be going back and I’m sure others will feel the same if they have to deal with the same rudeness and inconvenience.

My girlfriend asked for a medium strawberry acai with lemonade but no ice and the drink cost £5.60 already for this price you could expect them to fill the cup, instead served a small cup half full, i asked if they could fill it up with lemonade as every other starbucks has done. I had to ask for a refund as i wasnt paying £5.60 for a half drink, we sat down to enjoy some time together and we overheard us them attempt to whisper about me asking for a refund by one staff member to the other and i found this to rude, when all i asked was a simple request. Any other starbucks or even staff have been much more accommodating. Wont be returning and ask people to go to the other starbucks in town centre.
