Came with my Mum and a group from her nursing home, Orchard House. Great food, I am vegan and was given a wonderful plate of vegan delights. There's was lots of food for everyone, especially cakes which my mum was delighted about! Always great service, helpful and kind. Thank you

This pub was first established in 1811. It's been tastefully renovated by its owner, Jack and is a pleasant place to have a pint or a meal. The portions are generous and the food is good. If you leave here hungry, that would be exceptional. The staff are cheerful and chirpy and the service from Tracy is quick.

Looking forward to this visit as it was my Birthday Sadly the food on this occasion was below standard I can't say about the rest of the menu but the Sunday roast was abysmal I ordered Lamb What came didn't look like roast lamb or taste like it The roast potatoes were that crunchie you had a job to cut them Carrots must have just been shown the boiling water again they where rock hard The Yorkshire puddings were burnt On the whole the best thing was the gravy I could just have had it as soup I don't know if the chef was having an off day or a day off but certainly won't be going again

Had a very tasty vegetarian breakfast here yesterday...coffee was good and hot--apple juice yummy...the atmosphere was fab and friendly...everything was clean, bright and fresh....lovely and warm on a chilly day...will be back.

What a fantastic time we had, visited with friends and a dog on a Saturday lunchtime, the decor was lovely, staff super friendly and the food was so so good! We will certainly be returning!

Almost perfect all round… great food, lovely staff, wonderful pub. Just far too many young kids in! The noise at times was almost unbearable. Will definitely go again, but at times when kids are all at school/nursery!

Food was good but service was poor although enthusiastic. Starter was a bit limited in size and presentation (beetroot carpaccio: very basic beetroot salad) Very long wait for the food. We were in the back room, which is not a great place as it is a walk through to the gents toilets and the back door used by smokers who leave the door open all the time and the door doesn't close automatically. not enough staff, no one was behind the bar when went to check in tue food and order extra drinks. no curtesy if the food was good either. We did get a discount for the trouble. Nicely refurbished, I hope they up their game!

High quality food, a wide range of drinks, friendly and competent staff, live music every week plus monthly parties, sports on the tele all day, comfortable and well thought out furnishings - all signs of an owner that cares! Ruddington is absolutely richer for The Heart at Ruddington!

Someone is really trying hard to overhaul this pub. The staff are really excellent with their service. All credit to Matt the supervisor for intelligent participation with customers too! The 2 back rooms are smaller and better served for dining, albeit the smallest needs some 'softening ' to a dark format. Food excellent and good value. Keep the chef!!

I’ve been excited to visit The Heart pub in Ruddington for ages, and tonight I finally got the chance—and it was worth the wait! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere stood out. The interior is beautifully done, with a cozy and stylish feel that makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. There’s such attention to detail in the decor that adds to the whole experience. My party of three decided to try the tapas deal (3 dishes for £18, which is fantastic value) and also shared a Hawaiian pizza. The portion sizes were absolutely generous, and we all left feeling completely full and satisfied. The food was delicious, with the tapas being a real highlight. On top of that, the staff were exceptional—super helpful and attentive from start to finish. A special shoutout to Leah on the bar, who was so kind and made us feel right at home. Her service really added a personal touch to the whole evening. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked to come back in two days! I can’t recommend The Heart enough—great food, lovely atmosphere, and wonderful service. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to often!

Jack, Matthew, Tracey and the chef knocked this one out of the park! We wanted a birthday gathering in a private room with enough food for 14 people. They were accommodating even when we had to change the date at the last minute. The chef made us Halloumi Fries, 3 types of chicken wings and Mushrooms with Ciabatta bread, delivered continuously by the friendly staff. We all thoroughly enjoyed the night, and highly recommend otters to visit the pub for food and drinks to try other exciting foods, and Sunday Roast options.

Food was outstanding, staff was amazing couldn’t do anymore and the all round experience was fantastic if your local or are around the area I would suggest you you and grab yourself an amazing meal.

Lovely meals, a good selection of different main meals, nice atmosphere and nice facilities.

We booked on line the day before and when we arrived they had no record of us having booked. A table was set up for us in the bar which was horrendously noisy. Food average at best- won’t be rushing back

Would not recommend even contemplating trying here. Came for a double birthday celebration, left feeling regret and upset with the situation. Staff not trained, food is not great, management so so poor. Drinks order wrong but we stayed quiet as we appreciate that new staff members make mistakes and this pub opened nearly a month ago. 4/5 meals came and all of mediocre quality and one missing still, which we had stated generally to a staff member. We found a manager and when asked about the 5th meal- “it will come”, well they were not stressing, stood in a corner talking. When the manager was asked again later into the meal, he was trying to ‘ascertain’ where it was, blunt- no apology, no priority, no nothing. Sat waiting. Meals being given to other tables now. Wasn’t busy, we were the first order of the day so what went wrong here? We all finish when the last person gets his meal- microwaved and small portion. No apology at this point, no manager to see to us, we had to get up to find them again. Why are they not shadowing staff members so early into its opening? Caring and checking on things? This is the bare minimum for a mildly successful pub. We thank the staff member that sat with us and got down on our level and took the time to apologise, and they should be recognised for taking accountability, rather than the actual manager, who started to argue and call us ‘mate’ and ‘irate’ when he came over to question why we didn’t enjoy the food and the ‘service’ provided to us. Shocking really. Manager was fine to see a staff member get upset about this and we let her know throughout that it was not her fault, that it was a managerial issue. Please train your staff until they are confident and be nicer to your customers, this behaviour scares people off. You can find much better food and service in Ruddington.

Came with a group of friends for a Saturday night groove ! Live music kept the place with a buzz and the delicious and reasonably priced food made it a treat. Recommending this pub to the local community!

Fabulous Sunday roast today. All really fresh and clearly homemade. The crackling, roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese deserve a special shoutout. Thank you to Imogen and Fran for looking after us. We will definitely be returning.

We visited the pub and it was amazing. Whilst the staff are new we found that everyone was attentive. The food was astounding and the service was top level. We would definitely recommend this pub to the local community. ☺️

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic experience at The Heart at Ruddington! The food was delicious, especially the tapas, which was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Each dish was a treat, and the variety made it easy to try something new. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. To top it all off, the drinks were reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise for the quality on offer. This place really knows how to balance excellent food, great service, and good value. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a lovely dining experience!

Came to try the menu at the newly opened restaurant and wasn’t disappointed! I opted for the calamari from the Tapas section as a starter which melted in my my mouth and the fillet steak I had as a main was cooked perfectly- juicy, tender and flavourful. The Service was also fantastic and the team couldn’t have done enough. We will be returning.

Reasonably priced Sunday lunch. Ideal portion size. Lovely vegan and vegetarian option. Staff very helpful and friendly. Introduced themselves for a personal feel. Lovely warm atmosphere. Great Garden for the kids too! I will definitely be back.

This place is an absolute dive. It is dirty and smelly. The furnishings are ripped with stuffing falling out. One room looks bare but basic. We only saw the state when we'd ordered food and drinks. The food was awful too. Burger was chewy but not in any good way. Chips were luke warm and not cooked through enough. My burger bun was hard at one end indicating it's age. I had one bite and left everything. Seriously dreadful. Our experience wasn't helped by the obviously regular client who drinks rum and coke who was loud and foul mouthed. Altogether YUK!!

Used to be the best pub in the village years ago, looking a bit tired now in need of a refurb.

Nice little boozer. Good pool tables. Good place to watch sport. Food not bad. Nice friendly atmosphere. Places like this are nice to have around and are sadly disappearing from our communities. Plus the pub dog is awesome!

Family run pub, great owners, service with a smile, great for sports, two pool tables, 8+ TV screens inside, a projector in the back garden for the summer with a great BBQ, wide variety of drinks, small car park at the rear but easily accessible from front or back plus they do decent food I would say the food is a solid 4/5 only reason why I wouldn't rate it 5/5 is because it not fine dining but what you pay for and what you get is worth a 4/5 burger chips pint Panini nachos breakfast pub classic you can't go wrong with the food they serve it taste brilliant solid 4/5 on taste if it was stuff like steak lobster definitely give them a five star they have a great chef. Love coming in and spending my money as I always feel welcome

Could not put zero stars. Massive disappointment, Place was a mess with half of the seats missing the leather on them. All bottled drinks are plastic bottles and all drinks are overpriced. I bought 2 drinks 1 mixed fruit kopparberg and a WKD which cost more than the pub on the corner before it. Bar staff wanted to watch football news so there was no background music and the place was quiet. The whole place smelt fusty like wet dog which did not go well with the owners dog wandering around bothering customers trying to have a drink.
