Prompt delivery, food was delivered hot. Friendly delivery driver. Food portions are large, tasty and well cooked. Great value for money. I would definitely recommend The Red Cow Pub and Grill.

After trying most of the rest I keep coming back to the Red Cow. Consistently the top Indian takeaway for freshness, flavour and customer service, by a country mile.

Ive said ‘this is the best Indian takeaway in Brum’ a few times about one or two other places in here but they’ve been inconsistent. I can confidently say that the Red Cow is THE best Indian takeaway I’ve had in the last year & just as good as the last time I ordered from them. Beautifully spiced and fresh mixed grill with perfect fish pakora, delicious tender seekh kebab, great tandoori chicken wings & tikka. Obviously all cooked fresh to order. No reheated one or two day old meat here. A++

The food was cold.The lamb curry I ordered didn't have much lamb in the container mostly onions and tomatoes. Very disappointed!!!

Rubbish this place dont go never recommend This place is not good for indian food not freshed especially tandoori rotis are not fresh we went there saturday night with my family and we ordered some food but when i see my tandori roti omg that was too hard and cant eat and i knw these rotis are microwavble not fresh i went here many times with my friends and experience was good but this time disgusting i never go this place again i suggest to everyone if u plan to eat something with your family or friends find another place thanx

Generous portions and very tasty. Only criticism none of the carton’s were marked so we weren’t sure which was which until we tasted them.

Today i been there with my fam but worst experience whn i place order nobody told m kitchn will close early today. The guy come with starter told us i need to serve all food kitchen will b close quickly. If happens like this why u took the order. Nd u need to tell us before not after earning more than £70 .just we start to eat our starter. He comes with roti as well. Like we are stupid need to finish all quickly if we need to eat like this without break nothing we can easily eat @ home. We lived in oldbury all the time prefer to go in red cow but this time worst experience . They hv zero sense the guy giv us plate once. No sense we need new plates affter starter. Thn my brother go to kitchen nd ask for new plates. No tissue no fresh salad. Like today we went over there not for celebration . Even to insult overselves. Decided to never ever go there. I went to kitchen to ask guy why u dont tell us before he just continues laugh no sense .. i suggest to do nt go ovr tgere

Yes it's a humble looking pub but the atmosphere was friendly and the food was fantastic ! Only marked down because couldn't order tea or coffee. The Jalfrezi was AMAZING .

Saw my chicken was pink rang for a refund to be greeted by a man that hardly spoke English passed on 3 times to other members if staff that clearly knew English they just knew they was in the wrong and didn’t want to communicate with me completely unacceptable.

Chips & naan were ok, food was delivered early which was good. But the Soy curry was extremely SALTY & INEDIBLE, shahi paneer was beyond SWEET like eating a dessert as a curry, even if I mixed the two curries together it was honestly horrible overly salty and sweet which didn’t even balance a decent flavour for me to continue eating, straight in the bin. Absolutely vile, will not be ordering from there again!

They take the order and after 1 hour they said food is delivered but it didn’t and when i call them to find out what’s going on they said no one in the kitchen and then they start showing their attitude and he just hung up.

Was not impressed with taste of food delivered. I expect a Indian to taste like it . Not to get a dish that tasted like English gravy . Never have I tasted the dish I was sent like that before. The mint yoghurt that was sent was out of date, it was fizzy and sour on arrival. The spring rolls had no Paneer, and the rice was over cooked. Very disappointing tonight folks.

We went to the wedding of my friend Narinder's son Sandeep at the Heritage Banqueting Suite at the Red Cow 🐄 The food and service were excellent 👌 with the waiters and bar staff being very attentive and catering for our every need. I'd would certainly recommend the Heritage Banqueting Suite for anyone wishing to hold a wedding as the service, food and atmosphere were excellent

First time ordering from here and never again! I noticed the restaurant has quite a lot of positives reviews and a few negative ones stating the meat being off or raw. I thought I would give them the benefit of doubt. And now I wish I hadn’t! The chicken was slimy and smelt off and they try to cover it with a lot of sauce and spice so you will not notice the smell. It honestly made me sick! As I have worked in catering before for many years and I know for a fact they are selling out of date meat which I have informed Enviromental Health to investigate! This is disgusting how they are taking advantage of their customers! Please if you decide to ignore my complaint that is entirely up to you but please for your own safety and wellbeing when ordering any meat from here smell it carefully and check throughly before eating. Best of luck.

Food was one of the worst we’ve had from here, arrived late and cold. The chips were so moist in the bag that the paper bag had ripped and they were all in the bottom of the carrier bag. The chicken on the bone was pink and jelly looking which just put us off instantly, the meat was clearly undercooked and the curry was like a bowl of water, absolutely disgusting and hasn’t been eaten. Straight in the bin. Waste of money.

Not happy with the mix grill. Definitely not cooked fresh and has been precooked. Tikka dry. Wings dry. Sheekh Kebab Definitely cooked frozen and reheated. Lamb chops dry. Lolli pop was ok. Chilli chicken was nice. Definitely won't be ordering a mix grill again.

Went to an engagement party. Food was really nice, service was good but they did try and keep taking away the food before we had finished eating. Apart from that it was really good.

When I opened the delivery bag, the bags that held both the chips and the samosas were so wet that they broke as I tried transferring them to my plate. I ended up only having a few chips and a couple of samosas. You need to change the containers to keep the food warm and fresh.

Been twice, both times the chap that took my order and payment was sarcastic.. I ordered two grilled mains and was only given one salad, I asked for an extra one (little lettuce onion bag) and he charged me 😳 bit of a joke really. That being said the food is decent, but would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Chill chips was too cold and soggy

The chilli chips looked like they were cooked the day before and then just refried again smothered in oil and not even chilli chips they were more like pakoras , the butter chicken wasn’t butter chicken it was more like tikka masala ,months ago I ate in the pub ordered chicken lollipops they were stale and the mixed grill was wasn’t cooked fresh it all came out in 5 mins , I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt but again food was abysmal , not even worth 50p , would never eat there ah

Been here a few times for a few different functions and has always been good. Decent venue and easy to get to for locals.

We have been visiting this place since 2018. The place to go for mixed grills. But what has happened recently with the quality? Our last visit (01/01/2024), there was definitely something wrong with the normal quality. The food was unfortunately both bland and tasted off. This is not normal for this establishment. My dining guests who consumed this complained of upset stomach issues (red meat and poultry). The seafood which I ate was definitely not good and tasted bad/off. Very disappointing, possibly we had a bad batch or dare we say re-heated food? Don’t think we will return which is a great shame.

This place was beyond incredible!!! We ordered the Red cow Mixed Grill and the selection of food was phenomenal. The flavours of each of the foods was distinct and delicious. The service was extremely friendly and everyone who worked there was brilliant. I highly suggest booking a table beforehand on the weekend because we went the night before and it was packed. Overall, I highly suggest this restaurant for a an incredible meal and a fun time!!!

Ordered online and had to complaint the order was not right and they put the phone down on me. I had to order rest of meal elsewhere.

the order was slightly wrong, when I phoned the kitchen, I was told that it wasn't their fault and the phone was put down on me. If this is what service I get, I won`t be ordering from them again. I will be complaining to Just Eats, if nothing becomes of this I will not be using this site again.

Driver was sadly unable to find the location even though address was clearly mentioned, but he tried his best to best to be patient and deliver .

Most of the grill places in the Midlands are ok, it's more of a case of " pile'm high, sell'm cheap". Sometimes to much food colouring, I've seen purple kebabs. The foods ok at Red Cow but I haven't found one that compares to grill places in the south, my current favourite is Punjabi Dhaba in Hounslow.

Went on a Thursday evening to the Red cow. Thought the worst as there was 1 table occupied by diners. How wrong we were! We went for the ‘fat cow’ chilli chips, masala chips, lollipop chicken, chilli lollipops and 3 naans. We asked for the chips and naans to be upgraded on the fat cow as it only comes with plain but it was lost in translation so we got 3 plain naans and 2 chips additional to what we wanted. The fat cow grill itself was sensational. Lamb chops - great taste, perfect amount of charring. All the chicken was juicy and full of flavour. Fish pakora - nice light batter, lots of meaty fish. The chilli chips were unreal, so so good! Definitely recommend them with the chilli lollipops. Certainly no scrimping on the portions! The only slight criticism is the grill wasn’t sizzling when it came out but it was on a oven tray as it was so big! It says on the menu it serves 8-10, there was 5 of us and we were all stuffed. Would definitely go back, be great to go when it’s busy. One of the best mixed grills we’ve all had, up there with Champys, new hen and chickens etc. Update… we went back for our Xmas mixy, again quiet inside in the dining area but the mixy was first class. Had the £42 fat cow again. Was 6 of us, with 2 cobras to top it off we were all stuffed. The chilli chips and chilli lollipop are a must. Chips are battered and covered in chilli sauce…. Unbeatable! Football was on prime too! Thanks red cow for rounding off this year with a class mixy!

This was the second time visiting the Red Cow as part of our 'lads group' monthly tour of desi pubs around the West Midlands. On our first visit, this place came out on top for its food, and the second visit did not disappoint. Between the six of us we ordered a 'fat cow' mixed grill, chicken lollipops, chilli chicken lollipops (x2), chilli king prawns (x2), Keema naan (x3), chilli chips (x3) as well as a Massala sauce and a Madras sauce for a bit of lubrication! Everything served was freshly cooked to perfection, and taste is just exquisite! The only negatives I would add are that the mixed grill is served in a baking tray rather than a traditional serving grill platter, lighting is too bright, and decor drab...but that is not a concern when the food is so good! Currently salivating over the thought of the chilli chips...so good!

I have not received my order,that was due 18:05-18:25 so really not impressed, the delivery driver hasn't been honest and the staff on the phone aren't helpful. They claim they delivered it however the driver quoted the wrong address, I've had to call back 3 times and still waiting while I type this message. The delivery driver asked me to knock at a different door why do that if you got it right the first time????
