Unfortunately one of our dishes came with chips when we asked for rice. We ordered chips on the side but rice with the meal.

The waitress shouted at us from half way down the restaurant asking us how many for a table and if we wanted water? Rather than greeting us at the door. Our food - a basic wrap, took half hour to arrive at our table and was cold. Not a great experience.

Came for my daughters birthday as it falls in the week when she has SATs and we have recently visited Greece and was missing the food. We were served by Charlotte who delivered a 5* service and even remembered it was for my daughters birthday and wished her a good day. Will definitely be coming back

Disappointing. Thought we'd give this place a go...Bank Holiday Monday - 20:10pm...empty restaurant and no staff to be seen. Waited to be seated, waited some more…but nobody came to welcome us. I have a feeling someone did notice us but wanted to go home early and ignored us. Really needs looking into from higher up before it’s too late. Every other restaurant in the area was absolutely thriving tonight! 🤷🏼‍♂️

Went for lunch today . Food was delicious but the service was not great. The waitress kept coming over trying to take our plates when we were still eating. I thought it was very rude and u had to point out that my father was still eating g whilst she was trying to take his plate away. We also asked her to remove the service charge and her demeanour changed from being smiley and polite to grunting so very rude indeed

I came here today and loved it. The food was great and the waitresses were very kind and the service was efficient. To start we had hummus and the flatbread. To follow I had a halloumi souvlaki. Everything was delicious. When our mains came out I was amazed at the beautiful presentation. The children's menu looked great and good value but it would be better if there was more choice than ice cream. Would come again.

I can't believe i didn't come here sooner! They food, atmosphere and staff were amazing every bit of food was delicious and the prices are really good for what you get. You get the real taste of Greece here. Good location you can go shopping before or after they offer lunch menus aswell as full dinner menu. I love the plates and how they present the food

Despite waiting to be seated for 10 minutes and ignored by the waiting staff who then after finally seating us were very abrupt. Until however, our new waitress Lily who was absolutely wonderful. Polite, courteous and greeted everyone with a warm smile. Lily is an asset to the business. As are the chefs, the food was superb!

The food was very tasty and filling, so nice to try different food. The staff are so helpful and friendly.. the accommodation is very clean ..the whole night was very enjoyable and highly recommended x

Felt really let down by this place as a lover of Greek cuisine. Spent a lot of money for some very poor quality food. I'm sure the fava beans and dips are out of a bucket and not freshly cooked. The souvlaki wraps lacked any flavour - three dry ready-mix falafels in a pitta with four chips and a slice of tomato. The bill was wrong and good job we checked it. No apology. It's a real shame that the food really lacked any love, particularly for the price.

I recently visited the Real Greek restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The young staff seemed disinterested and lacked customer service skills. To make it worse, they were having their lunch break right behind our table, which was quite unprofessional. The food was another letdown. It was bland and lacked any real flavour unlikely Greek food, and it felt like it was rushed out of the kitchen, chaotically with no order (i.e: mezzes first and mains afterwards) and not much break inbetween. Overall, it was not the enjoyable dining experience I was hoping for.

Don't spoil the impression of Greek cuisine. The food has nothing to do with Greece. The water in the carafes is from the tap and stinks of chlorine. The food is fried in oil that hasn't been changed for 5 years. The portions are too small. The only good thing is the work of the waiters. The girls are attentive and friendly. Food 🤮

Honestly, I don’t know how this place can call itself the “Real Greek.” It shouldn’t be allowed to associate itself with Greek food at all!!!! We finally tried the “Real Greek Restaurant” last Saturday, a restaurant we, along with our weekend guest, had been really looking forward to. Having travelled to Greece together several times and always falling in love with the incredible food there, we were excited to find this place, 40 minutes drive from us that claimed to serve the real thing. From the moment we sat down, however, the experience started going downhill. We ordered Alpha Omega draft lagers, but they arrived completely flat. Then came the starters – a cold meze selection that should’ve been followed by hot meze, and then the falafel souvlaki as mains. Unfortunately, the order was messed up and the mains arrived before the hot meze. The fava beans were utterly bland. We had to drown the plate in olive oil and salt just to make them edible. The falafel souvlaki were shockingly poor. They’re advertised as coming with chips and salad, but I’m not exaggerating when I say each wrap contained exactly one piece of onion, one slice of tomato, and one single chip. Dry, flavourless, with no sauce – a real letdown. Then came the dolmades(wine leaves), once again, dry and tasteless. Nothing we had felt fresh! Everything tasted like it had come straight out of a tin!! When the bill arrived, £135, we all felt completely robbed. We didn’t enjoy a single dish.

Painful. After spending considerable time in Greece over the years, I was really excited about visiting. Sadly, I was bitterly disappointed. I would had liked to complain, but due to the company I was with, it wasn’t appropriate to do so. Due to being greedy, and in a celebratory mood, we ordered far more than necessary, and all of it was awful. ‘Lazy’ would be best word I would use to describe all dishes. Fava beans were bland and tasteless. It all looked and tasted like cheap ready meals. The souvlaki was bland. And empty. Falafel was nicely cooked but tasteless. Chips were of the kind of empty, brittle oven chips from budget supermarkets. Dolomites were tasteless on the inside, and the disappointments just went on and on. It’s not even value for money. It’s painfully expensive for what was received. They were unable to even serve a larger that wasn’t flat. Not sure if it was the ‘B-Team’ shift, or if it’s just the level of this restaurant. But I now understand why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday early evening. The booth didn’t even have cushions on the wooden benches. So not even a comfortable table. Please save your money. You have been warned.

great food and plenty of it. definitely didn't ho hungry. we had the lamb meatball box with rice. very tasty

It took 5 hours to deliver. The food was orderd at 5pm and delivered at 10pm. We tried 1 bite of the pork Gyros wrap and the pork was awful. The food went in the bin as we'd made a different meal at home. 5 hours is not acceptable.

The meat quality was great but it arrived cold. The pork souvlaki for the price perhaps could have had some onion and parsley in the box to add a bit more flavour. The chicken wrap was good.

I love how prompt they are with their service. There’s this particular lady who attended to us, she was so nice and helpful. She was so warm and communicated effectively, had to ask for her name when I was leaving (Luzie). Such an amazing staff!

We had great service from Chris, we were sat near the bar and a glass fell of the rack and shattered near us. It really didn’t affect us but he was instant that we had a free drink . Food came out quickly and was tasty .

Went to other restaurants on the Quays and they were full so ended up eating here as it was almost empty, that should have told us !!! Nice venue, girls were very friendly at the tables. Long wait for the food, when it came it was very disappointing to say the least, 6 of us ate. We ordered 2 sharing platters at £50 each, and the girls with us ordered 2 wraps @ £9 each. The platters had 2 sausages on, 4 normal sized lamb meat balls, 1 small dish of very small diced / pulled pork and tomatoes in a spoonful of Greek sauce, 2 cream cheese and spinach parcels again small and a small portion of chips. 4 bits of flat bread, Nothing like £50 worth!!! The wraps were again small and when you unwrapped them there was very little meat and a small amount of chips, in a fast food take out you’d get 4 times as much meat and chips for a £5 !!!!! When they cleared the plates away there was no asking if we had enjoyed the food or if it was good, just “can I clear the plates!” Leats not talk about the service charge on top !! Give this place s miss, there’s another Greek restaurant on the Quays which we have used before and it’s much, Much better ???

First experience of greek food, everyone was tasty

First visit to The Real Greek in the Gloucester. Must say the experience was great. Good Greek cuisine with excellent service from the staff and Chris. Will definitely return.

Shockingly bad meal - I can't believe that they have the nerve to use the words 'Real' & 'Greek.' The food was bland and chewy and the portions were so small that we all left hungry - despite the bill being a few pence shy of £80! Service was supremely slow, we had to ask for cutlery and plates. No one bothered to ask how the 'food' was - I'm assuming that they knew. Gutted that a service charge was automatically added too. The venue was cold and not aesthetically pleasing - who on earth decided that kitchen work tops would be comfy to sit on? Having been to several Greek islands, I found the extremely limited menu an affront to a superb cuisine. Never again. Don't waste your money here. Buy a kebab from a take away instead - at least you'll be full - and probably made to feel welcome too.

I have only tried this restaurant once. Loved the different dishes you can choose from; they all sounded great. Lovely complementary olive oil put on the table. The food looked and tasted fresh. The only let down is the lack of flavours. I was expecting the rice and chicken to have some zing to it. Maybe some lemon and coriander. But unfortunately it was all pretty plain. No seasoning on the chicken. I was very happy with the size of the plate and the amount of different sides you can chose. Enjoyed the side of halloumi. and the drinks. Good presentation on the plate.

Been to a number of greek restaurants before but never tried the real greek.... It was nice the food was very flavoursome and presented well but seemed to be a more small plate option. We enjoyed what we had the only downside was we felt the menu was some what limited, and also they had run out of Moussaka fairly early on which was disappointing but hadn't advised until we went to order

Loud, cold, excruciating slow service. Was told this was because four big tables came in before us but we weren't told that it would be a wait for food. Over an hour. Everyone around us unhappy. When food arrived it was cold. Never again.

What a lovely lunch! The staff are so friendly and helpful. My husband and I met our son for lunch and we all had the most wonderful meal. Two of us had the meatball plates which were so filling and tasty. Our son had the louraniko sausage wrap, which he said was gorgeous. We ordered some extra chips for the table, but could not eat them as the meals were so big. Chloe and Milena were brilliant and the whole experience has made this our go to place for meeting up with friends and family.

No stars, no order. Webchat helpful. Order cancelled, would have been at least 3 hours 40 mins. Kept being delayed due to no drivers, with prepared food at restaurant going cold. Not first time this happened. Just eat has changed, will not use again.

chicken skewers was burnt, wouldn't recommend

just eat do not seem to be able to get the delivery destination correct. Drivers are always going to 150a not 150. annoying.
