The Cornish Bakery in Gloucester

Amazing customer service from daisy and Jess 👍 food was amazing thank you - highly recommend.

The bakery was excellent, but the service left much to be desired. The staff was rather rude, and the drink, which was only available in one size, tasted like water. Additionally, it was quite small and expensive compared to similar offerings at Costa or Starbucks.

We enjoyed our afternoon in the cafe. We had more time to wait for our coach home, B and made us so welcome and comfortable. eing elderly and tired, Julie and Leanne encouraged us to wait with them. Brilliant

Came here this morning as I was waiting for a tyre to be changed at Quickfit. I had ordered multiple cups of tea and a sausage roll and all was great. Service was really good where I was sitting i could see everyone walk in and out and believe every person got a hello and a goodbye. Very happy will return :)

Very disappointing experience. Food was presented just about luke warm. Food was taken back and, without any coment from manager, taken and reheated. Was returned with comment "steam coming out ". They were also charging 40p for sauces!!! Overall a pretty shoddy outfit.

I work at a local care home and came in today with one of the residents. The staff helped carry the tray and provide us with some extra things we may need such as straws and napkins.

Great Service and amazing food, I managed retirement complex in Gloucester and we ordered a large takeaway order for my home owners, they said the Cornish pasty were amazing , they were still piping hot when we get them, Thank you Leanne and the Cornish bakery, Team, we will definitely be using your services again.

Never heard of Cornish Pudding before. The lovely staff told me it's like bread pudding but made with their pastries. Well it's like a posh bread pudding! Pastries with custard topped with blueberries. There was obviously some chocolate drops in one pastry. Most delicious.

They push you to get as many sales as possible in a short period of time. I hadn't even finished my order and another person was pushed infront of me to pay. Very unprofessional..... on the plus, the food was ok but not worth the absolute high prices

The chain may have some excellent locales but the Quays, Gloucester is full of people in a hurry so even the ones who "eat in" are in a hurry.

Had a traditional large Pasty and coffee at the Cornish Bakery. Both were absolutely spot on. Coffee was miles better than the popular branded coffee next door and half the price.

their coffee is quite creamy with the oatmilk i had, syrups and vegan options available as well! nice place to work at, i stayed a few hours and had a rasberry croissant and cauliflower pasty, everything i had was vegan and really good, will be coming back :)

This place makes the best pasty in Gloucester, I go there for lunch eveytime I visit Gloucester Quays outlet. The place is always busy but atmosphere is good. My favourite pasty is Bacon, Leek and Cheese, so yummy :)

Very disappointed, as plates and cups very dirty with food stains and food on. Although items were replaced I did not enjoy my food and the experience was spoilt. I found staff not very friendly and looked unhappy, although were polite. I feel better cleaning and customer service needs to be improved. I would use or recommend this bakery.

Myself , my child and friend went on a Saturday lunch time, we had the most delicious pasties, daughter had a sausage roll, they were all delicious. Service was really quick, plenty of staff working. Really friendly, constantly watching staff being busy cleaning tables etc Had the plain scones on another occasion… absolutely to die for , the best scones I’ve ever tasted

Come here for lunch all the time, reasonably priced and good food. Charlie and Leanne always look after me and their customer service is great.

We called into this bakery for a treat while on a trip to Gloucester Quays. The Pasty at best was luke warm. The staff at best were slow and not friendly. This is a overpriced un friendly eatery. My advice is to give it a miss.

Thought the 2 pastys were expensive circa £4+ each from memory. The pastry wasn't completely cooked in a few areas but at least it was piping hot and the filling was OK. Service was friendly but the pasties are only labelled customer side, so they didn't know what was what, and you have to shuffle back down the queue to show them?!

Really great place to stop at the Quays. Food selection is big and the coffee is always just right. The team are always cheerful even if it's busy so I never mind the wait. My go to is the cherry almond croissant and a flat white. Just what I need to keep me going!

Good morning to all. Absouletly superb service and the staff are amazing as been well trained by the manager leanne. i am a regular since last 5 years. Cant find any fault at all. It goes without the food quality is consistent and great, clean and hygienic. One word only. Superb.

I enjoy an evening here every week while my daughter attends tutoring. Such welcoming staff, especially Charlie. My children look forward to their treats for the following morning and it has now become a pit stop for our entire family each time we visit the quays.

it was a cold and rainy Saturday and I, like just about everybody else in Gloucester Quays, craved warmth and sustenance. There was a queue into the shop but I was drawn in by the delicious smell of pasties so decided to try The Cornish Bakery. The staff were all working like crazy, trying to keep up with the demand. I had been going to order a pasty but when it came to my time to order, found myself ordering the goats cheese and chorizo Spanish omelette. I don't know what possessed me when the pies were clearly very fresh and looked so enticing, but it just felt more brunchy. I asked for it to be heated. I also ordered cappuccino and Portuguese custard tart. By the time I sat down, the omelette was nearly cold. It was kind of ok, but I didn't feel like finishing it, despite being hungry, and have to say it's still repeating on me five hours later, which doesn't seem right. The custard tart tasted nice but had an eyelash in it, which was a bit off-putting. The coffee was disgusting - very bitter (and lukewarm). I do know my coffees, having brewed my own for thirty years or more, so it wasn't that it was too strong; it just had a most unpleasant flavour and I left it after a couple of sips. So, although this place is clearly popular, I'm afraid I won't be visiting again.

I used to be a regular customer at this place, but now I will need to find another cafeteria to sit in and enjoy my coffee. I am extremely disappointed with the behavior of one of the staff members that occurred on Sat, July 8th, around 11 am. The curvy lady with blond hair in a ponytail and glasses was acting very strangely. I felt sorry for the other staff members because she was throwing plates and other items around aggressively, and her vibes were really negative. She may have held a higher position than the rest of the staff, but that doesn't give her the right to behave in such a manner. The whole situation looked really bad, and I don't believe this kind of behavior should be allowed. Other customers seemed to be a bit confused as well.

Staff didn’t make me aware that the pasty was ready. I had to queue up again holding my baby and pay separately even though they saw me waiting. Poor service.

What amazing service we have received. Went in to get a coffee and ended up getting a school donation for our year 6 leavers just from a general conversation. This is why we should support local businesses. Great produce and great friendly service. Xxx

First time in a corniche bakery. The drinks were very nice. I had a bacon and cheese turnover, it wasn't great, the bacon was very salty and it wasn't that great. I would pop back in for drinks.

THIS IS VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING AND VERY UTTERLY RUDE. We went there to have just a coffee and a cake. It wouldn't even take us 30 min to finish all that. Reached to the place at 19:00, the staff there was very rude and told us they only do take away. We respected the decision that they were closing at 20:00 but we said can we eat from the takeaway bag, however, the staff was very rude. We dont understand why would they speak to us so rudely and why did they stop us from eating even if it was in a takeaway bag. the closing was at 20:00 and they would have 1 hour to clean and do closing. Very disappointed and very very angry at the staff how they spoke to us and their service.

Where else would a Cornishman go for breakfast. Lovely staff, even 'mum and daughter' know my order as I walk in. Like the refurb, always a pleasure to go there 👍👍

Gloucester Quays Cornish Bakery…absolutely fantastic. Wonderful oat milk late, and a beautiful Cherry and Almond Croissant. The music was at the right level I could talk to the person I was with, and the lighting was so good I could see them too! Staff were super lovely. Looking forward to my next visit.

My family visited yesterday and bought pasties - we all came down with food poisoning within 3 hours and have been really ill. Avoid!!

Busy. Had to wait for seat. Joined a lady on her own. She was pleased to have company. Pasty was delicious hot and filled to edges with good quality filling. Coffee was great tasting if a little small compared to a Maximo at Costa. Assistant got me a second coffee which avoided me standing in queue again.

Nice pasties, little unsure about the brown source. Why not make your own chuckney. Will eat there again when visiting.

6 members of staff, all serving, neither of them knew what the other was doing..my order was taken and paid for, then I was told I would have to wait 3 minutes, after 2 minutes was told we would wait a further 8 mins!! Staff were rude and unfortunately the pasty was horrible, no seasoning, so asked for salt & pepper, and had to wait to be brought this too!! Shame as been there several times and the pasties were good, but will never go back!

Terrible service no cutlery just slap the food on your tray and do not accept the queen's money card only... never use again

Today l had a bad experience at the Cornish Bakery. I have ordered 2 hot chocolates and 2 croissants take away. We took our purchase and sat outside at one of the shops table. One of the shops staff came out and told us that we can't sit down and drink our hot chocolate there even that we have paid the same price as drinking in. Really disappointed treatment as tourist probably the treatment was different if we were locals

Yeah not bad lo action to eat. The queue was long but the staff seemed to serve very quickly so not waiting to long. Only one moan and that was area to eat outside the shop seemed very congested for people to access tables and this could of been improved by them organising ta les better near to entrance
