Costa Coffee in Gloucester

Lovely staff here, Alfie remade my drink promptly when it was made incorrectly and took the time to see that everything with our order was right. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again!

Today shop was closed due to some maintenance issues so they didn’t serve inside just drive through option available. I left my car in Chris Mullins across the street because they were putting new tires on so I thought I’ll get a coffee. When came to the window to get a coffee, I was informed that it’s for a cars only and I won’t be served because I’m not in the car 🤦🏻 Pathetic rules made by the idiots in my opinion, that’s why I’m not coming back there again. Bye costa!! 👋🏼👎🏼

The coffee was OK but I have definitely had better. I go to this place every morning at 6 am to get my latte before work. I know the manager has left but the two young girls on in the morning (Abbie and Abbie) are so miserable and rude that I will not be returning to this Costa again. They never ever open on time and just chat to each other and keep you waiting. They really do need some training as their customer care skills are non existent.

I have been here a couple of times but the latte i order always has such a bad and fake taste. Save your money and try some cheaper and wayy better coffees at local businesses

"Shame on you" Manager. You are the rudest and I never found any rude costa staff in the past. I visited this costa (Bristol Road Gloucester) last Sunday and had an awful uncomfortable experience that left me very offended. I went to toilet and may have took around 7-8 mins and it was definitely not that long that someone would think that I was dead inside. As I was sitting I heard someone tried to open the door very rudely without knocking first followed by 3 consecutive very loud bang(which is considered as one time knock) on the door. I was just in the process of grasping mentally what was happing, all within couple of seconds she (a manger) just opened the locked door using her key. I understand if someone is inside too long, although it was not too long in my case but lets assume it was long enough but she still has to follow some procedures to check if someone is in trouble inside. She can’t just walk in without announcing herself. My advice to the Manger that you should not try to opened the door when you clearly know that someone is inside, second, you must knock politely and announce yourself for example “Sorry, is every thing OK. I am going to open the door”. So other person have a chance to answer your call. When I came out I asked her if this was a normal practice to do what she just did. She spoke very rudely instead of a simple ’apology’ her answer was “I had to do my job”. I don’t understand what part of job requires walk-in unannounced into locked toilet after a quick bang. I am a reasonable person and understand that mistakes happens and a simple “Sorry” would have solve the problem but her attitude after the incident left me more offended that I originally was. I go to this caffe and I always have found all other staff very friendly and polite. Manager is rude and if she can’t handle complains politely, she should consider going back to training or at least learn from her own staff. Not to forget my complain was only raised due to her cheap move she made when I was in the toilet. It is really a shame. I would have expected a bit of decency form you after the incident and learn to smile occasionally.

For a new building, it looks like it has never been finished off properly. Water damaged ceiling in various places and pillars that look.like the paint was just thrown on to them.

Advertised to close at 6pm on Sunday, we arrived at 4pm and they were closed.

Food and drink was fine. Unfortunately we were served at the counter by possibly the most miserable staff member we have ever met. Seemed to be irritated by the fact that family members were making a decision about what food they wanted to choose. No Hello, No smile and when asked questions just nodded or shook his head. (Haydn was the name). It completely killed any happy vibes that I am sure Costa Coffee would like all their customers to have when visiting one of their cafes.

Staff was really nice with me and my 3yo making us feel welcome and helping us with the tray too (I was carrying as well my newborn)

A nice modern Costa in a pleasant location next to the Gloucester - Sharpness canal. There is a drive-thru at this branch.

Comfortable seating and a reasonable selection of cakes & pastries which were offered warm. Good for a brief stop.

The location on Google maps is close but not quite right. Google maps puts Costa on a piece of wasteland next to Burger King, when in fact it's just along the canal next to the little oriental supermarket, right next to the canal. City centre side of the Greggs and Subway. So a good spot with half a dozen outside tables overlooking the canal and with a good sized car park for about twenty or so cars. The car park is well laid out, nice and level with easy access to the coffee shop and double opening doors, which is good for clients requiring easy and accessible access. The coffee shop is new, 2023 ish. When we popped in there were three members of staff; two looked somewhat confused cleaning a jug for the smoothie market whilst the other was serving at the drive-through. There was no customer welcome, no "we won't keep you..." or anything, they just carried on. It wasn't too busy and I didn't notice any tables with dead trays or cups or plates, which was good and certainly makes a change from most coffee shop 'chains' that we visit, so that was good. It appeared clean and our drinks were served promptly. We sat outside, where the tables were all clear and clean. Location is good. Atmosphere was good. Service was ok, though the staff were friendly enough. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 45 million views and still going strong 💪. Although I'm not enamoured with Google and their service at the moment 🤷🏻‍♂️. They're inconsistent. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Great place to meet up for a calm relaxing place to chat and have something to drink and eat. The overall establishment could have been a little cleaner and tables could have been cleared up quicker rather then leaving them. Especially as there was quiet times rather than just trying to make themselves look busy. But overall great coffee.

Struggled to get in as accessibility door system not working. Nice to have a vegan food item ('turkey' sandwich). It, helpful service. Door handle to accessible toilet coming away. Table was sticky. Place was busy, nice coffee, would visit again

Has to be the worst costa I have ever had, coffee is absolutely tasteless and I can't confirm if they used coconut milk as I asked for. Certainly will not be returning here!!

Food is always over priced in coffee shops.

So glad the black forest hot chocolate is back, just a shame that only have a limited amount of it.

Newish building - costa on point as always

Slow & disorganised. Three people behind the counter, one seemingly not doing anything and it took me 5 minutes of standing there before being served (they did at least acknowledge me). I was asked if I was eating in (which I was) & they still proceeded to give me a plastic cup for my drink. 4 empty tables outside left with rubbish on, rubbish all on the floor outside, 3 tables empty tables inside also with the same. Costa really has gone downhill.

Nice location by the canal, able to sit outside whilst waiting car is being fixed at nearby garage. Not particularly busy but seemed like it took a very long time to wait to be served and receive drinks. Quite standard I guess as these days places seem more concerned about resourcing drive through orders over actual "people" inside a restaurant/cafe etc.

So quick and easy to get a morning coffee using tge drive-thru, even in rush hour. I didn't have to wait long at all.

I only use the drive-through. But always polite and has been quick. Costa is costa. The quality is virtually the same every Costa you go.

Sat by the canal having Costa breakfast. Service was quick, friendly and polite, place was clean and tidy, seating inside and outside. You don't have to drive here. Could be my favourite Costa.

Go here regularly and usually ok. Today had three staff doing one order. Told would be with us but continued working on one order. Milk and other plastics all over the floor behind counter and generally dirty. Very poor today 🙈so left .

Average cleanliness, well stocked. BUT the women serving us was an absolute wench rude, amd blunt. No other customers to be seen.and sighs and hugfs at having to take our order. Drinks provided in disposeable cups rather than proper ones, even though there wasnt the slightest inclination we were taking away. Item scanned and paid for was handed back, items from cupboard were left on counter down from us without telling us or anything. By far the worst experience of any coffee shop I've ever had

Just popped in new Bristol Rd Costa for a coffee while waiting for garage to open, but very clean and friendly and looks to have good choice of items to eat and drink

Two coffees bought this lunchtime. One was cold with the cup being only 75% full. The other was warm & 50% full (or 50% empty) depending on your point of view. Waste of time (& petrol) going back & a complete waste of money. Well done. That's a long term Costa customer gone for good.

Just been through the drive through here. After being stuck at home all week sick this was our first human interaction and the lady made our day. She was polite friendly and cheerful. Her colleague making the coffee behind her joned in the chat and was equally as friendly. Even my dog loved his visit here. We will be back. Quite possibly the quickest and friendliest service I've ever had at a costa

Excellent service.. my wife needed some dietary info and the server found a manual and came across to discuss. Nothing was too much trouble, and overall things have improved here since opening. I might of been hard on them with my first review, but we use this location as the primary go to now.... good food and drink and excellent service!

The Staff were all very friendly & helpful, kindly offered to bring our toasted items to the table. The drinks were all excellent , after the coffees I fancied something different & the staff went through the other drinks & what they were - on a recommendation I went with a Tropical Mango Bubble Frappe , OMG this drink was prepared to perfection and was heaven! With the friendly helpful staff and the location, this is probably one of the best Costas I've been in.

Well so far it’s been over 15 min waiting for 2 Carmel frappe… sat in the drive thru waiting bay, still waiting…

I would like to say nice costa inside ,but not for parking met up with friends not seen in awhile so we stayed and chatted for over 3 hours having a few coffees unaware that there was a parking time limit of 3 hours ,didn't know this until friend got fine ,not happy with this so will not be going again so be ware not to park there 😔
