Lovely fresh healthy Greek food . We had the spicy feta dip and houmous with warm pita bread and crudités . The chicken skewer was moist and tasty . The fries were perfectly cooked . The rice was good too. The calamari was delicious and crispy . The deserts were divine too. The waiting staff were friendly and professional . I would defintely return . A very good dining experience . The restaurant is stylish too .

Been twice on Groupon voucher for set mazes Excellent, as long as you like Greek food, of course. Service is very very good. Atmosphere and decor very pleasing. And staff amiable. It is a pleasant location and parking is pretty easy. Highly recommend,.

Very nice greek food! We had 4 dishes between two people, grilled octopus, greek salad and grilled vegetables and halloumi skewer. Plus one glass of wine that the waiter didn’t charge us for

Pros : - Lovely Staff - Excellent food presentation - ok atmosphere I guess - fast service - beautiful restaurant Cons : - mediocre food ( Bland and tasteless not worth the money ) - Tap water !! - no table cloth / not even wiped table - no greek music - NO GYROS !!! Overall if you never tried greek food in your life then this restaurant is a “meh” I guess but otherwise a poor attempt or mediocre recreation of the food at best. First time visit probably last ever visit. It’s a attempt to keep things “ modern and cool ” you can have the best looking restaurant and best staff but if the food is bad and the customer doesn’t feel like they are in a taverna then what’s the point ? Honestly is “meh” for tourists or people who are not well acquainted with vibrant greek culture or delicious food.

Popped in for an impromptu lunch, it turned into a long one! The Real Greek might be a chain, but it feels like an authentic village taverna. The food was full of homemade flavours and the staff friendly. Highly recommended.

We came today for end of school lunch and had the worst waiter. Worked in the industry for over 10 years and just disappointed at the service. We weren’t given menus, had to go get them myself (lunch menu) then saw there was a a la carte menu at the til when I was so tired of waiting for the waiter to come back to take our order. She was wearing sunglasses which would be fine but she just gave “I don’t care” attitude. If you’re unwilling to do the job well then don’t, it ruins the experience. Not even sure if we paid service but she definitely didn’t deserve any. It wasn’t actually busy like Rocca and the end of term, so actually very manageable but they just had us waiting and others for no reason.

Utterly delicious food with big portions and good value - their cold meze is to die for!!

Wow just tasty lunch, fresh ingredients, bourgouri was fab, the sun was shinning, fell like on the island of Skiathos. Love to taste their lunch menu in my lunch break 😋 from school, good conversation with the staff.

this time I was disappointed, wet sticky table, dirty chairs, lamb meatballs very burnt, too much, same with chicken skewer, it was dry and burnt, bottle the tap water had some stains and should have been washed earlier

Delicious food and good service with a smile

I ventured, alongside my family, to commemorate my sister's 60th birthday. Our group, comprising both adults and children, posed a challenge for any dining establishment. However, the proprietor graciously accommodated us, deftly rearranging tables to enhance our dining experience. The waitress exuded warmth and efficiency throughout our meal. Every member of our party relished the culinary offerings, with even my great nephew, aged 15, bravely venturing to sample and savour the Octopus and Calamari, alongside the tomatoes adorning the Greek salad - a feat considering his aversion to tomatoes. The Popcorn halloumi starter proved a delightful revelation, a novel and delectable precursor to the main course. Opting for the Lamb skewer accompanied by a Greek salad and a bowl of chips, I found the lamb impeccably tender and grilled to perfection. The Greek salad boasted a delightful freshness, with the tomatoes particularly standing out. Though the chips possessed a satisfying crispness, a touch more warmth would have elevated them further. Overall, the experience proved immensely enjoyable for all, underscored by reasonable pricing. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism, complementing the pleasant environs of London. Moreover, ample parking in the vicinity further enhanced the experience.

The name shouldn't fool you. They don't even make Freddo! Overall, it was a good place to eat lunch. I visited many other "The Real Greek" this was another ordinary, touristic place which has pale blue & white paint and a few decorations made up looks like a Greece from the far east. The females who work in service have ZERO smiles and a welcoming attitude, maybe they want to resign, who knows. The guy who looked after us was okay and attentive. It has a great location in cute Dulwich Village, it has outside seating with no ashtrays. I took a couple of nice photos for you all. ⚓️⛵️🛟🌞

Friendly staff, delicious food, great value. We opted for the Kali Orexi set menu, which offers a wide food selection with great portion sizes at a very reasonable price. Compared with the main menu, this is definitely the best option in terms of value for money. Food was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic.

Tonight, I was pleasantly surprised about this fairly local restaurant! The staff were welcoming and friendly with lovely manners. Food was a true joy! Ordered the grilled octopus which brought me right back to my favourite seaside place….enjoyed every morsel. The dessert was exceptional - I had the Greek filo pastry with custard and vanilla ice cream …. Amazing! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

I went there on a Sunday after reading the reviews and it was a terrible experience and I left feeling very disappointed with the quality and taste of everything, not even the chicken wings were good :/ perhaps they change the chef on that day 🙄I wouldn’t go there again though to try it again.

We wanted a local eatery and decided to visit The Real Greek, Dulwich. The last time we visited this chain we went to Windsor and had an excellent meal that was comparable to the recently visited Greek Isles. Sadly, this experience was the complete opposite. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, with 4 tables being occupied. The supervisor looked sullen and wasn't particularly friendly, but showed us to our table and left us to peruse the menu. And left us, and left us, not even offering drinks. 20 minutes later the waitress came to take our order but still didnt ask if we wanted drinks. Obviously we orderedthese at the same time as the food. When the food arrived, the portions were good sizes but there was no flavour to anything, the moussaka was burnt and we couldn't eat much of our meal as it was tasteless and overcooked. For 45 minutes we tried to get the attention of the staff but every time we caught their eye, they ignored us, looked away and carried on chatting amongst themselves. Eventually we got up to leave and shared our comments which appeared to fall on deaf ears and got excuses about being busy earlier in the evening so they were tired! We won't be visiting this chain again as this experience has put us off completely. Extremely disappointing. Can't recommend any dishes as they were all as bland and tasteless as each other.

Ordered off uber eats and half my order was missing. Fallafel underwhelming and ordered the slaw which basically had nothing in. Chicken was bland and lacking in quantity and quality. Pork was fatty and generally underwhelmed with this order. I have been to another real greek and was pleased previously, albeit rather average for "Greek" food

Ate there last night- was delicious! Great service, lovely wine. We got a tower of delicious shareable items, and then a dish of our own, I had the vegan meatballs and the sauce on the meatballs delicious . I will go back next time i visit london🇬🇧

The décor and atmosphere was nice in an average type of way the place was clean and staff were polite and attentive. I just didn't particularly like the food I had ordered. It was probably what would have been expected and didn't taste bad. An overall enjoyable experience

Really bad service !!! Girl looked like she didn’t want to be there terrible service !!! Didn’t ask how our meal was didn’t come with sauces and didn’t check k at anytime if all was ok. Shame food was lovely ! Won’t be back !

Manager went all out even cooked in the kitchen to help out with the large booking of 17. A slice of delicious cake given to myself the birthday girl on the house. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great location and good service however unfortunately the food is a real let down. Nothing to do with the chefs or staff. I imagine all food comes in centrally and it’s just tasteless and bland. I think no perhaps a lot of ingredients are frozen so it’s just all heated up, but there is no taste to anything? Lacking any fresh ingredients unfortunately….. such a shame.

We visited for a family celebration dinner. The food was indeed “real Greek” (we have many Greek relations), with a wide choice of well cooked dishes. The service, especially from Alex, was very attentive and helpful.

clean, cozy, not crowded. service was fast, good was delicious and the staff was very kind. we made a booking beforehand but arrived super early and it wasn't an issue at all :) LOADS of veggie, vegan and gf options and quite large wine selection too :) funky juices like lemon and cranberry too!

This restaurant used to be our favorite for vegan Greek food, however the quality of the food has gone down dramatically. The vegan meatballs are not something that you would get from Ikea whereas before they were homemade with thick tomato sauce and now the sauce was very watery. All of the mezzes were way too oily and the new potatoes were swimming in oil. Also we were first served the lamb meatballs by accident despite ordering the vegan ones. Will not go ever back again.

The restaurant was amazing and the food exquisite! Very good for a family outing or a friend reunion. The food palette was developed and my vegetarian friend was also satisfied. This place is totally wonderful and I would go again 😁

We wanted a pleasant lunch time dining experience and we got it. For what worked out at approx £25 a head we had a large main course (the Greek plate), desert (two large scoops of ice cream) a bottle of sparkling mineral water, a drink each, (I chose wine and my partner chose fruit juice) followed by a mellow coffee. The main course - flat bread, tsiki, good Greek salad, savoury rice and a protein of your choice - was delicious. My halumi was crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Just perfect. My partner’s chicken on a skewer was tender and tangy. The service was pleasant, the decor clean, light and easy on the eye - all in all a far better eating experience than we had anticipated and value for money when compared to surrounding cafes and restaurants. Would highly recommend lunch here.

Ambience and service couldn't be faulted. We had the £10 lunch deal which consisted of a number of dishes. To my surprise all the dishes came on one plate, and this was far from satisfactory as they tended to blend into an anonymous mush. At lunch another time I shall choose one dish from the main menu.

Came here for my son's 16th birthday. The restaurant is beautiful, the setting, atmosphere, feels very inviting, clean, and very coastal. The food was delicious and loads of it, the staff were superb, very helpful and accommodating. The complimentary birthday cake was excellent and a very good idea that they offer that too, it completes the package! Staff were so friendly, they couldn't do enough for you!! There was so much food, we couldn't even finish and missed out on dessert! We have been told about their delicious " lemon cake and orange cake" by a family member and a friend, and we will definitely be back to try the cakes! Definitely recommend, and will definitely be back. Great place to go for special occasions and birthdays, the place is beautiful.

Just had a takeaway from this place and the lamb was inedible. It was too tough to eat. It smelled off.

Had lunch for party of 12 today and we all thought the food and service was excellent. The lunch plates are particularly good value for money, very generous portions and very tasty food. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Dealing with a large party is never easy but they did everyone's order perfectly. Thank you for making our lunch so enjoyable!

Excellent light lunch from the £9.95 menu. We had a very well prepared, tasty combination of chicken skewers, salad, rice and flatbreads. The service was just right; friendly and attentive without intrusion. Pleasant ambience and great value. We would be very happy to return when next in Dulwich.

Ordered on uber eats. Fries less than half a bag for £4 - rip off!! Horrible tasting, dry falafel. Nice halloumi bites. Overall dissatisfied and won't eat at or from any of thes branches again.

Die Speisen waren alle schön hergerichtet, auch das Lokal gefiel uns sehr gut. Das Essen war solala, es fehlten einfach die Gewürze, wir mussten fast alles nachsalzen und dennoch war es nicht wirklich gut. Wir würden nicht nochmsls gehen.

My go to spot for a lovely mid-week lunch. Great food, lovely staff and very reasonable prices.

Very average food. One dish was really burnt too. Mostly flavorless except for the lamb meatballs. It’s okay if nowhere else is open but wouldn’t recommend.

Terrible bland gyros. Half filled with mainly chips lack of sauce halloumi and veg, so dry and bland. Halloumi bites were quite nice however then found a hair in them half way through. No offer of a refund a replacement of terrible wrap.

The manager at this restaurant is both inappropriate and rude. I and a very small group of others were volunteering at the local park to get the plants ready for the winter and decided to quick grab some lunch before heading back. We arrived and he inappropriately asked for a female of the groups mobile number proclaiming that was how he picked up females and them continued to asked for all of our ages. We quickly ordered for take away. We asked if it was ok to sit down at a table as the restaurant was empty. He agreed. When the food came a colleague suggested we just stayed sat down. When the food came, a colleague suggested we might just stay sat and quickly finish the wrap we ordered. Many staff walked passed and saw us at the table eating and also asked if we needed anything else. When the manager walked back in to the restaurant he rudely growled at us to say we need to leave it’s not nice that we are sat here and eating. We apologised and said we did not realise we could not change our minds about staying in, that we will leave immediately. He again growled rudely and said no, that we knew what we were doing and we knew that the takeaway food prices were less than dining in pricing and so taking advantage. We again apologised and stated that was not the case. He then rudely said ‘no stay, you know for next time’ which we declined the offer to remain in now a hostile environment. I won’t ever be going back to be spoken to like that ever again when we made a genuine misjudgement of the decision we were making.

Celebrating my belated birthday with dear friends. The waitress, Alex, was very friendly & helpful, particularly with our many different requests. Noticing it was a celebration we were given complimentary coffees. We especially enjoyed the Mediterranean rice.

I must say I choose the right place to eat… EnjoyEd my Meal and also had nice conversation with the floor Manager Feret who is a really nice guy… I will definitely be back to see what other treats I can eat… Thank you Guys Anthony

This restaurant is highly recommended - we went for a late lunch with friends, and were impressed by the quality of the food we ordered, and also the friendly staff and their attention. We enjoyed a selection of hot and cold mezes, and then main courses, including lamb meatballs, BBQ chicken wings, chicken monastir, followed by a selection of desserts. Altogether an enjoyable experience.

Disappointed with the service. Not very welcoming staff. We asked that the main course was not be brought until we had finished the starter and it was brought whilst we were still eating starter. Waitress appeared quite disgruntled/rude when we asked for the food to be taken away until we were ready.

A real find. One of our group is Coeliac and needs to eat gluten free. The manager was really helpful and knowledgable in making sure that she got a safe meal. All the staff were good and the food was very nice. The lunch deal was very good value.
