The food was delicious and it came very quickly. Definitely coming back.

Trekked here from Tottenham for a family birthday lunch. The food was nice, but can get a similar quality of Turkish cuisine in Stoke Newington and Tottenham for a lot less money, with a warmer and friendlier atmosphere. They have some strange rules - they can only take orders once the whole group is ready to order, and only the grilled meats come with bulgar wheat sides, and not the grilled fish! I got the grilled whole sea bass, which was nice enough and seasoned well, but for the price, you'd think they'd at least remove the central bone, seeing as how it was butterflied anyway. And the music was annoying - are you a nightclub or a restaurant? Just play traditional Turkish music. Not sure who they're trying to please. The food was good enough, but overpriced and the atmosphere needs to improve with friendlier, more flexible staff.

Booked this restaurant for a graduation celebration but we ended up being rushed out, didn't even had time to eat the cake there as we had to leave after 2 hours although we were given 30 minutes on top of 2 hours but it wasn't enough time to relax in there. We wanted to have a chilled evening and try some cocktails but unfortunately it wasn't possible due to their timing of 2 hours allowance. Not good experience and not intend to return. My advice is, if you want a place for any kind of celebration do not book lokma in bermondsey you better off booking the one in stratford which had better background songs good entertainment and we weren't rushed out, food should have better taste as it testless.

When I was paying the bill the machine offered options for the service charge. I double checked the bill and confirmed it was already included. Not sure if they are intentionally trying to cheat their customers but I will certainly never go back.

Amazing experience with lovely, friendly and accommodating staff . We had a particularly wonderful waitress called Zera who was extremely attentive to our every need and accommodating our requests with the most beautiful smile . Food was fabulous and there was live entertain on the Saturday . 10/10

Ended up here after a really bad experience at the oxo tower for my birthday dinner. I’m glad now as our food was delicious. It was happy hour until 7pm so i had some lovely porn star martinis. We hadn’t pre-booked but we’re still accommodated. The server was great, we had a mixed grill platter for 2 and end up bringing some home, sides were warm and tasty and the complimentary bread was so fresh! would definitely recommend eating here!

Been coming here for years. Never a disappointment to bring our guests here. FOUR stars given because we noticed that in the last 2 visits, the staff were asking for extra tip despite paying the service charge in the bill! NAUGHTY! We leave extra tip sometimes if we feel like it but please do not prompt your customers to pay on top! It is a turn off.

The hostess was very rude and when we asked for the dessert menu her response was “we are not a coffeeshop to have desserts”. We left even without ordering. Not recommended if you don’t want to face with such rude attitude.

I will definitely be coming here again to try out more of the stuff on the menu. The customer service was great, staff on the day were very friendly and easy going. The food is absolutely delicious and the drinks was also really good. They have such a big variety of drinks and food.

Our first time at Lokma with no reservation but we were lucky to get a table outside. Greeted very professionally but with a warm welcome by a young lady which I thought was the manager but infact she is a waitress & absolutely amazing at what she does so I made sure to get her name as she is a credit to Lokma (Otilia)Very attentive. As for the food, well wow... I had the yaprak döner and my partner had the char grilled Mackerel, we finished off with the BEST künefe we have ever had washing it down with Turkish tea. That's the good, now it's the bad... The salad was a let down on both our meal, very basic & bland, for the price of the meal a better salad is expected like all other restaurants I go to. The proper let down, is they charge for the Turkish tea having had a meal and dessert which I definitely think this should be complimentary as being Turkish myself this is the culture of the Turkish restaurants to treat their customers to a çay after their meal on the house. Overall it was a pleasant evening great service great atmosphere beautiful decor(absolutely love the originality of the decor in the ladies) Definitely will be returning to try the fish platter for 2 next time.

Food was very mediocre. Nothing great to write home about. The portions weren’t generous as compared to other Turkish restaurants I have dined at. Additionally, we were charged for ordering additional bread which I was surprised as these are usually complimentary. Lastly, the margarita jug we ordered was too strong — too much tequila was poured.

Visitamos un domingo por la tarde después de ver el jazz en la plaza cercana. El restaurante parecía amable y acogedor inicialmente, y no particularmente ocupado. Habíamos reservado una mesa fuera y nos dieron una cálida bienvenida. Sin embargo... 3 camareros diferentes vinieron en los primeros minutos mientras elegíamos, ninguno parecía muy experimentado. Hicimos preguntas sobre el menú , al final un camarero senior (gerente tal vez) vino a ayudar. Soy intolerante al gluten, así que me preguntaron por mis opciones, que básicamente eran solo humus. Todo lo demás contenía harina o estaba frito. Tampoco ofrecen pitta sin gluten lo cual fue muy sorprendente. Mis amigos pidieron una variedad de mezze mixto. Al final, fui al supermercado de al lado y compré yo mismo un poco de gf pitta para acompañar mi humus! Comprobé que estaban de acuerdo con esto, pero es extraño que no les importara menos. Toda la comida era excelente y el vino turco muy agradable. Sin embargo, el servicio al azar continuó cuando intentamos pedir más comida, muy difícil de llamar la atención a pesar de varios camareros alrededor. El restaurante se puso más ocupado y llegaron una serie de clientes habituales que recibieron un servicio mucho más atento. Luchamos por conseguir más comida, y nadie se molestó en preguntar si queríamos algo más. Al final nos rendimos y pedimos la factura. Qué pena. No es particularmente caro y la comida era buena, pero el servicio tan desorganizado y la actitud desinteresada realmente hizo que fuera una visita muy decepcionante.

Me and my partner were served today for lunch by Jerry. Both of us were extremely happy both with the food and the polite and dedicated service which Jerry gave. My partner particularly liked the Margarita which Jerry prepared. Highly recommend particularly is Jerry is serving.

Food tasted nice but portions were rather small. Service overall was good but they were offended when we did not want to pay service charge. Atmosphere was overall pleasant just a little loud. Overall, a good experience.

Had late lunch there with my partner on a Sunday afternoon. Service was very friendly and professional. We ordered a large sparkling water and a mezze platter with freshly baked bread for starters. For the mains, we went for the Iskender Lamb Kebab and the Karisik Izgara. Each and every dish we had was delicious. I honestly do not have complaints about the food we had. Easy and well-deserved 5 ⭐

The staff were very attentive and polite. I’ve been here a few times now and the standards have never dropped. The food is always amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Nuevo en la zona. Las primeras impresiones fueron que era un restaurante de aspecto encantador, pero no podía encontrar personal! Luego nos hicieron señas más allá de la cocina a otra zona encantadora con mesas fuera también. Optó por sentarse dentro, pero de repente comenzó la música “drum and bass”! Fue muy, muy intrusivo (y totalmente fuera de lugar en un restaurante así! ) Pedí amablemente que lo rechazaran, pero me dijeron que era un DJ en vivo y que no podían interrumpirlo. Después de un par de minutos comprobé si estaba proyectado a la zona exterior también que no era así que nos mudamos fuera. Si no hubiera habido mesas disponibles fuera, habríamos tenido que haber ido a otra parte. Muy extraña la elección de tener este estilo de música, TAN fuerte de 2. 00 - 6 . 00 en un sábado - simplemente no tenía sentido! La comida era muy buena, porciones de buen tamaño y personal amable. Sin embargo, revisa la factura a medida que agregan servicio diciendo que es para el personal de cocina y luego trata de agregar un cargo de servicio adicional para el personal de espera. No me encontré con esto antes, pero note que otras críticas lo han mencionado. No estoy seguro de que me apresure a regresar.

The food presentation and atmosphere were outstanding, but the food quality was poor. I was also quite unsatisfied with the service. They didn't care about our table, were really slow, and forced me to pay the service charge. I refused to pay and informed them that I was not required by law to pay a service chargeif I dont like the service, but they still tried to take it! I would definitely not recommend this place due of the service!

We ordered mix kebab it was 2+ person written but very small, not tasty. Staff were unfriendly. I don't recommend this place.

Come en este restaurante hace un par de días. Fui a pagar la cuenta y se agregó un cargo por servicio a la cuenta, llamé al camarero y le pedí que se la quitara. Se fue y unos minutos después el gerente vino exigiendo que pagara el cargo. Le dije que no lo era y que lo quitara de mi factura. Afirmó que el servicio era para el personal y se dividió entre el personal al final de la tarde. Después de una discusión se fue y me lo quitaron de la factura. Más tarde pregunté a los dos camareros que sirvieron la comida si se les da allí parte del servicio al final de su turno y dijeron que no reciben nada, ni siquiera cualquier propina, Qué restaurante tan desagradable. Qué manera de tratar al personal. Ciertamente no volveré a ir por ellos.

Don't normally leave reviews but had to drop one after an amazing meal at Lokma last night. We attended as a large group for a birthday meal on a Saturday night and the service, vibes and food were all exceptional. Made to feel very welcome and no ask was too much (we changed the timing, number of people and table set up right up until the last moment, which were all accommodated without fuss). Waiting staff incredibly attentive. Food was some of the best Turkish food I have eaten in London - great menu and very reasonably priced. A large amount of food and 2/3 alcoholic drinks each came in under £40 per head which is more than worth it as London prices go for the standard of experience provided. The restaurant has a huge amount of seating options (inside, outdoor terrace, shisha areas) but it was only about half full when we visited. This actually meant the atmosphere was refreshingly uncrowded for our meal (not too busy or noisy) but obviously hope the restaurant is able to fill it's capacity at busier times for the sake of the business. Thank you to the chefs and wonderful team - we will be back.

Beautiful dining experience. Would recommend for breakfast, lunch and dinner!! Was served by Obi who was a fantastic host and the food was of such high caliber, one of the best Turkish restaurants I have been to! The service, atmosphere and food was all of top quality. Many dishes to chose from but I would definitely recommend the veggie mezze platter which had the best falafel and the mixed grill platter. Definitely would recommend the virgin pina colada. A great experience I will be visiting again :))

Had a fantastic evening here, Obi really looked after us. The meze was great, so refined. And the mixed grill was so plentiful the 4+ could have fed 6 at least. Great cocktails too! Would recommend the raki for a digestive after the meal if you don't mind anise flavour to complete the experience.

The DJ Though!!!! The music was like a club/dance/rave while we eat and clearly he was playing to please the celebratory crowd of customers!!! In fact the music was so good we had to get up and dance in-between mouthfuls! Music set the vibe and set the mood for a real dinner ‘party’ experience!!! The food was exceptional and very very well portioned, served hot and didn’t have to wait too long! The chips were shameful and I have no further comment as the pictures show what they show!!! Not sure about the alcohol content in the bottomless cocktails but our server was very sharp in re-stocking up!! We truly enjoyed our experience and I will certainly come back again! Customer service is 10/10 and mostly very friendly staff even though very busy!

Attended Lokma Restaurant for a family birthday gathering (bottomless brunch) The gathering was lovely. The food was pleasant enough. The cocktails, could have had a wider choice. The Mionetto Orange Label Prosecco was a “thumbs up” & refreshing However, the Service, was rather poor, and in parts, quite “rude” …. one waiter slammed quite harshly & hastily my glass on the table!!! After, trying, to rush my family & I out of the restaurant (bottomless brush) after what they claimed 2 hours; they “tried” to add £80.00 service charge to our bill. I used the word “tried” because - we did not pay it; however, out of courtesy, we paid half of the service charge., Reading, a recent review it seems, the staff @ the restaurant require, etiquette in how to serve their customers, with a smile 😊

I was in London for a conference and was very lucky that this restaurant was right next to the hotel. I was there all three evenings. Very good service, very tasty food and a nice ambience convinced me straight away on the first evening. The map is well structured and offers a nice selection. From the second evening onwards, my colleagues were also there. We were all very satisfied. I particularly liked that there were also good Turkish wines. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely go again. The value for money is absolutely great. Certainly a bargain for London or even an insider tip.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The staff act more like bouncers than wait staff. Their attitude is off key and at times aggressive. The highlight of the evening came when two customers were not happy with the service, and there were raised voices between customers and staff and the police were called! The food was fine, nothing special. To top off the evening our waitress bullied us into giving her an additional 16% tip despite there being a service charge added to the bill. Will never return and do not recommend!

Great service, unhurried, The place filled up real fast by 7pm on a Thursday. Outstanding whole charcoal grilled sea bass. Courgette fries are a hard no - burnt and couldn't revive them with sauce. Cocktails were too sweet, but I was comped the sweet cocktail right away.

Myself and friend came to the restaurant randomly to have some late dinner. Wine was not planned but our water Rasoul recommended some great options, which resulted in a few glasses of wine. My friend Klaudia who has recommended this place for me recommended shrimp started that was the best choice, with tomatoe-y sauce - excellent choice for the seafood lovers. We also tries Kunefe dessert, crunchy with white cheese and honey, perfect as i love desserts that are not too sweet. tries All that said, great service, great food, and even better wine.

Went there for my dads birthday, our server Michael was amazing very welcoming guy, do not have a bad thing to say about him. However found a blonde hair in my rice on the mix grill, manager came and stated that there was nothing they could do and gave us a free portion of rice, manager also stated that everyone in the kitchen did not have hair so it could not be from the kitchen but as I was leaving there were chefs in the kitchen with no hair nets with a full head of hair and beards. very appalling
