The Real Greek in Windsor and Maidenhead

Marilena served our large group & she was very friendly& hospitable, we used a uni student discount voucher & we're not treated any less special. The food was amazing, the service was awesome & we all enjoyed the environment. Would definitely recommend.

This is a review of two half’s. The first is after a couple of group bookings with over 40+ people in attendance each time for an evening set menu on a Friday night The second a solo lunch dining mid week. In a nutshell… both were fantastic. Ilias as owner and host is fantastic. Truly makes you feel welcomed. Not only when as the organiser of a big group firstly via email and then when you walk through the doors, but just as attentively when I just turned up on my own a year later out of the blue for a lunch! Our group enjoyed it so much we did all again at our next seminar get together. The set menu was generous and filling. Fresh, tasty, authentic, and plentiful. No one was left even remotely hungry. We took over the whole floor upstairs and were looked after brilliantly by the whole team. As a lunchtime lonesome, I felt just as looked after. Obviously more choice on the lunchtime menu and never felt rushed as I slowly discovered what half the offerings actually were. Not disappointed in the quality of the food once again and glad I dropped in. Would highly recommend on both fronts, whether a large group or a solo diner, you will feel nicely looked after a the Real Greek Windsor.

Today I had the pleasure to visit and eat at The Real Greek. The food was really delicious😍 and the staff very welcoming, you could feel Greece in the air! I will surely be coming back! ❤️ I can honestly recommend the place - if you are in Windsor you mustn't miss the opportunity to try THE REAL GREEK dishes - they are unforgettable! 🫶

Always 10/10, no jokes! TRG is one of our very favourite restaurants in Windsor ( definitely #1 Greek restaurant! ). Great value, always fresh and super friendly service - they are really knowledgeable and always keen on explaining the menu! Our personal favourite: halloumi skewer, spinach tiriopitaka and souvlaki! An average meal but good atmosphere. We had a table late afternoon and tbh the food was very ordinary. It was more like food that you’d expect from a chain restaurant unlike the family restaurant style normally associated with Greek food. Overall disappointing imo. That said the staff were nice and a lively atmosphere made for a good experience. I think it would be a good restaurant for groups but less so for those keener on an authentic dinning experience.

We had a lovely lunch here today. We had a warm welcome, excellent service and a delicious lunch (a difficult choice). Thank you! We will be back!

It had been a while since we lived in Greece and it was a pleasant surprise to find this restaurant serving real Greek food. We fully recommend it!

A bit disappointing. We were there toward closing and they were out of some items. The lamb meatballs were dry and had obviously been sitting around for awhile. Good service. I'd try them again earlier in the evening.

I had a great time in this restaurant! The food was very good and atmosphere was great. It was easy to find too. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, it was possible to chat with no interruptions. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Windsor.

The food was overall good - the aubergine dip was light, fresh, and deliciously smoky, while the lamb meatballs were perfectly seasoned. The one food complaint was that the lamb on the lamb skewers was too tough to chew. Our server, Demi, was a delight - she was warm, welcoming, and professional. She recommended some great wines and was very conscientious about food intolerances. The atmosphere was lovely- even though it was a busy evening, it was never too loud, and the staff kept everything moving efficiently. There's convenient (if expensive) parking right across the road.

The restaurant is very noisy and some staff members speaks very loud. Not the best place to relax. The food is good but not the best for greek food, also very small portions for the price.

It was amazing very cozy , family friendly , fresh food and lovely kind staff. 5/5 recommended! Especially great service from Ilias (the manager).

Just disappointing, we went in for some simple nice Greek food and although the service was good and friendly we felt the quality of food was very low. This resturant is located in central Windsor and a large percentage of the clientele must be visitors to Windsor. Please focus on your produce, raise the quality and give people an experience they deserve. Such a shame.

We have visted several branches of THE REAL GREEK for lunch and always has a great experience. The fixed price set menu is excellent value for money. Just be aware of the "optional" service charge that is automatically added to you bill.

Been here twice this month, once with wife then again with 11 year old granddaughter. Each time was a very pleasant experience. The set meze lunch was perfect, service polite, helpful and efficient. Can't wait to return.
