OMG stopped for a break in our drive and opted for some loaded chips … these are a must!!! There is also a veggie option. Cleaned our plates! Will be back the next time we are up this way.

For a change I managed to drag myself away from the fish & chips and instead tried the cheeseburger. It was amazing, proper tasty beef cooked perfectly and served in a fresh roll with real cheese (no plastic pretend cheese slices allowed here). Just the right amount of relish, tomato etc and a nice sized portion of chips. And excellent friendly service as always, thank you.

I ordered a crispy bacon roll and coffee at the till and found out I'd lost my wallet! Had some cash so could pay ok, but my wallet??? 2min later my phone rang . Wallet had been found by a member of their staff in the car park outside. Another minute and it was returned to me! With over £100 cash in it I was so grateful for their honesty and the staff's efforts to contact me so quickly, saved my day! And the bacon roll was the best I've had in a long time , so support the Real Food Cafe please, great guys all round and great food.

We drove up to The Real Food Cafe on Saturday. The weather and the scenery were beautiful. When we arrived, it was very busy, but we got a table quite quickly. I ordered the fish chowder, side of chips and a seaweed soda bread, my friends had fish and chios with homemade coleslaw and a burger and chips. My fish chowder had lovely big chunks of fish and included prawns and sweetcorn. The food was so delicious and fresh. There are great views, no matter what window you looked out of. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The queue to sit in and to take away was just never ending, proof that the food here is delicious, good quality and worth the beautiful drive.

My wife and I opted for the breaded haddock and chips. Strange breading coating, more like batter with no raiding agent and breadcrumbs. Overcooked resulting in dry fish Inside. Probably because of the lack of customers, the staff were over attentive, even asking if they could remove our plates whilst my wife was still eating and there was still food on the plate. The member of staff manning the orders till, bruskly sent me back to my table to find the number, not that there any instructions as to how to order. We have been visiting the real food cafe since it started and this was a disappointing visit.

Hit this place 12.45 on a Monday and it was heaving like it always has been before (this was our 7th visit) as we always pop in on our way back from holidaying in the highlinds with fam. Never actually sat in here as its always too busy but if you've a dog that's cool as its pooch friendly. We ordered and the food came out 25 mins later which considering how busy they were was about right.. They never had any haggis bon bons as they stopped doing them as they didn't suit the business (according to staff) lovely food and really helpful staff which is why we keep comming back. Gluten free fish and chips can't be beat from this place. If you can stand queues and general mayhem (never clear where queue is) and people rushing around you as you wait then this is a brilliant place. Well we think so anyway. Well worth a visit

Stopped here after being recommended this by a friend. Scottish breakfast was perfectly cooked with fresh local produce and was just the right amount. Coffee was tasty and fresh and tea was lovely and strong. Very reasonably priced and all the freshly baked goods on display looked beautiful although we didn’t purchase any . Would highly recommend

During my recent 3 night stay in Tyndrum, i used the Real Food Cafe 5 times (3 breakfast & 2 evening meals). I wasn't disappointed with anything i ordered & i certainly recommend this cafe. The staff are great & the food tastes very good indeed. On the first evening i had the fish chowder with crusty bread & butter. The chowder was delicious with plenty of fish in every spoonful. On the second evening i tried their fish & chips. One thing i hate is poor fish & chips (i needn't have worried) as these were also delicious. The Scottish breakfasts our photography group ordered were thoroughly enjoyed too. A must visit in Tyndrum ! Enjoy :)

Sweet potato curry soup was excellent; the bread that came with the soup was tasteless. The scampi came piping hot and crunchy but the scampi was slightly undercooked. The Black Pudding roll was OK; plenty of black pudding and a known brand. Personally, I prefer a bog standard pudding rather than a famous brand which tries to make it something different but that is personal choice. Liked the Raspberry and White Chocolate scone; loved the texture, loved the raspberries but would have preferred more white chocolate. We were seated very quickly. and the food came quickly. Lots of staff doing those tasks. But only 2 people taking orders and these 2 were also making coffees. So there was a long queue placing orders because everyone were placing multiple coffee orders with their meals. As a suggestion, at busy times take 1 or 2 people from seating duty and get them to make the coffees. If your busy then seating people isn't going to be too difficult.

What a fantastic restaurant. We had a meal here today, my husband had a fish tea and I had scampi & chips. The amazing food is freshly cooked to order and plentiful. I should have taken a photo but when our meal arrived it looked so good I couldn't wait to tuck in. The fish is large and beautifully cooked, thick white flakes of delicious haddock. The scampi was fabulous, not the usual reconstituted bits - this was the real deal, wonderful. Chips were great, everything was so fresh. I would have tried one of their cracking cakes but I was just too full :-) What really makes this a teriffic place in addition to the food is the staff. Everyone is so welcoming, a real pleasure to chat with. Special thanks to Jasmine - lovely girl. You must try this restaurant for lovely food and a real Scottish welome

I've tried British and Scottish breakfast many times but the one at RFC has been the best ever! Excellent food quality, super nice and friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, really good coffee and tasty cakes.
